Ah, right. I do tend to have a habit of reminding people at times.Sorry, used to it taking longer and thus more time. It's so weird to be pressured like this.
No worries. And any comment on the above edit?Ah, right. I do tend to have a habit of reminding people at times.
Chickens take 5-7 weeks to reach slaughter age, which is not off your calculations. As for cattle, it can be between 12-18 months, at least from what I've gathered, so you're not wrong on your assumption. The only issue sI have with this for now is I could see the Dalish being useful for patrolling the wilderness around the bannorn. It wouldn't have them as visible as them as guards within the city, and they'd be better at navigating it than most of our usual guards I thing. As well as the fact depending on the animals, it could take quite some time for them to actually reach slaughtering size/age (7 weeks for chicken, 18 months for cattle). @Ebanu8 can you correct if wrong on that assumption?
I'm not so sure, unfortunately. Been asking @thales on SB, but latest he can get back to me on that is probably tomorrow. Also, can anyone recall if we have any works in-progress other than the cothon? For some reason I keep thinking there's something left half-finished.
It's not a rush need, just that I keep feeling like I'm missing something.I'm not so sure, unfortunately. Been asking @thales on SB, but latest he can get back to me on that is probably tomorrow.
I know. I'll update again once I get more info. It's not a rush need, just that I keep feeling like I'm missing something.
Meat, my friend. Who doesn't love eating meat? (Aside from exceptions, of course)Most animals will not be slaughtered at the first chance. Cows provide milk and cheese both for food and export. Goats and sheeps provide milk and wool as well. Chickens provide a steady supply of food without cleaning them.
When you need the other products more you hold off on collecting the meat. Considering that we will need the other food supply these animals give they won't be killed anytime soon. The sheep are the only ones that might get culled early since aside from wool the only thing they provide for food is meat. Plus lamb is delicious.Meat, my friend. Who doesn't love eating meat? Mutton curry, anyone? (Yes, I know there's no curry in DA, damnit)When you need the other products more you hold off on collecting the meat. You just haven't looked hard enough for it. It is there somewhere either in the Imperium or with the Invading giants.Mutton curry, anyone? (Yes, I know there's no curry in DA, damnit)
Do the Qunari cook curry? I'm not so sure myself. You just haven't looked hard enough for it. It is there somewhere either in the Imperium or with the Invading giants.
Pretty sure they like spicy foods so it might exist. And the Imperium is the kind of place that would love the spice filled curry.

Reminds me of a conversation I had recently on discord about SI's and Food I mean it's not really talked about but think how much of a pain it would be eating food without spices or good salt. You just haven't looked hard enough for it. Please don't go and actually do that, thank you very much.Reminds me of a conversation I had recently on discord about SI's and Food I mean it's not really talked about but think how much of a pain it would be eating food without spices or good salt.
Hell I'd probably do cruel and unusual things for curry spices.
One would probably curse: "Why the fuck's my food so bland!? Ye gads, I want salt! Salt! What wouldn't I give for a lick of salt!?"I was joking but without spice or salt I imagine being stuck in places like Westeros or ferledan would be bad
What is the argument we are going to use to convince the Keeper to depart from the conventional "safety in numbers" mindset? How are we convincing them that splitting them up won't lead to further attacks? Are we providing guards or some ability to sound an alarm to alert us if trouble?Personal Actions:
-[X] Talk to the Keeper about splitting the elves up in order to lower the impact and threat to them from violent riots and help the elves short term to get more used to those new lands and explain to them how they can make the transition less painful for everyone involved.
-[X] Talk with the leaders of the city that are still left and get them to understand that the actions of the agitators are going to cause far more damage to the Bannorn if it keeps going on.
We did talk about why we needed to split them up already. They are too exposed in large numbers there is no way to support that much in any one place. Disease and illness is too high of a risk. And food is not available to them if they stay in such a large group. Our job is to ensure the survival of as many of them as possible not to pander. What is the argument we are going to use to convince the Keeper to depart from the conventional "safety in numbers" mindset? Similarly, how are we persuading the town leaders to stop the agitators? Perhaps something like "we love this city as you do; we do not want to wet the streets with blood. But if you do not convince the troublemakers to cease their efforts, I fear that will be the outcome. And do not fret; I will be as strict with the elves if they are the ones to start any trouble." Or something like that.
