I don't get that that find fluffy animal ambition. It looks not that trivial to do and effect is very questionable.
Not everything we do has to be something that has a mechanical benefit, just doing it for fluff is fine.

And there are tons of fluffy animals out there, the hardest part won't be finding one but deciding which one.

And that fluff looks totally random for me. I see no build up. I think Anakin is mature enough to know that some of initiates have no interest in pets.

I consider it to be an absolute absurd to vote both for boring reading and... doing something that fits behavior of a 5 year old child

I want childish ambitions I really want, but I don't buy this one. I have a strong feeling that half of the voters rarely interact with kids of that age.

Because that's what they want to? They're not good people? They actually enjoy the suffering of others? They're Sith? What does them being evil have to do with being able to control and channel their emotions when needed
I think what both me and @Undead Martyr are trying to say is that if the Sith are completely in control of their emotions and desire, if they are mentally and emotionally healthy, why are they ALL villains? It is pretty clear even by EU rules that there is something with the Dark Side and the Sith way of life that makes one a horrible person, who at best is indifferent and often actively enjoys the suffering of others.

My take on this is that while the Sith can, at least outwardly, control their emotions when needed, this is only a mask they project to the world. Inside, they are slaves to their desires and emotions like the overpowering hate they feel.

Controlling and channeling our emotions and not letting our desires and negative emotions control us is what we should try to do, that is Balance. The Jedi are not in that balance, they ignore and supress their emotions. The Sith are even worse off, since they stoke the fires and amplify their emotions and channel them, but they do not control them. At the end of the day they are slaves to their own desires and the Dark Side.

Sounds like anti-Force talk.

Controlling your emotions and desires does not inherently make you a good person. Being mentally and emotionally healthy does not make you a good person.

I agree that the Dark side and using it excessively causes one to actively enjoy suffering. That's not the debate. The debate is over whether Sith control their emotions or not.

It's called Mastery of the Dark Side. Meaning, a true Sith Lord, won't be actively driven on a whim to murder and pillage. He uses that to fuel his strength in pursuit of his goals.

The Jedi treat their emotions as a bird they may want to keep, but ultimately let fly.

The Sith treat their emotions as a caged wolf that they let out when needed. Sometimes it turns on them.

Sith Lords control their emotions and desires to achieve their goals.

It's not a good argument to say they can outwardly control their emotions when needed and only then, because this is not how control of emotions works. There is no way someone who is controlled by their emotions would not betray themselves in some manner, either when they get angry or displeased or some other powerful emotion takes over. That they are villains and tyrants and sadists doesn't mean they can't have control.

And not all Jedi suppress their emotions. Only some, others work a balance between their own attachments and the higher purpose they serve. They know life is transient and are prepared to let go, it's a very Zen philosophy but there are Jedi capable to walking this path.

Putting everyone in this tiny corners is disingenuous since there are Jedi who are capable of letting go and Sith who are capable of control. You're entire argument is centered on your preference to not become Sith because they're evil, passionate, emotional and all manner of other emotions at times, but this doesn't mean they lack control or aren't able to channel those emotions to achieve their goals. That the goals don't align with what you consider good or what balance is for you is a matter of perspective.

Well... it's not what we see in the majority of the star wars show. Or it's because we never meet we have not met a real master Sith yet.

Isn't it? Look at the original movies and the prequels, Palps is the Sith Lord, the master, at no point does he allow himself to lose control except once he believes his victory is assured. He give in to his emotions only because he knows he'll win, that this ultimately means his downfall is down to his own overconfidence and the theme of evil always destroying itself that RotJ has going at the end. Had Palps not spoken when Luke had Vader on the ground, Luke would've killed his father and turned. But because he did, his overconfidence blinding him, the Emperor became the catalyst of his own fall.
