So we have good info on both decisions, also we have info that normally we would only get from high level shatterpoint. Well we can buy shatterpoint with chosen points, but to my knowledge the only current user of shatterpoint is Mace Windu. So if we want a teacher for that we need to go with the Jedi.
I would think it is like other Force Skills. You just have to feel your own energies moving about. Only so much you can teach. Well, I guess insight on what paths to avoid.

Eh, buy it and learn it ourselves or through some of the holocrons of past users

Wait. The Jedi studied the force and midichlorians too. If we're basing it off that than every force sect has been messing around with midichlorians. Studying is hardly manipulating.

Wait since Master Zan is a dark jedi she should know how to both use and make a lightsaber right. We can get her to teach us can't we?

Consider that for Teras Kasi we have been raising it 1 step each action but that has been with a Master acting as our trainer. It is likely slower to do it on our own, so having a teacher would be a big help at least for level 1 and 2.

Rare skill so the chance of finding a holocron with it is not very good as the users may not have made one, or their holocron may have been destroyed over time

Yoda is about that old too, and he was growing with age.
Please don't take the following personally Polemarch. It's a joke meant in good fun mostly, not intended as an attack.

Ahaha

AHAHAHAHHAHHHHAHHAHHA

Arden Lyn is from the First Great Schism. That was 25 THOUSAND YEARS AGO. She learned how to wield the Light and the Dark from Xendor himself, who was a student of the ONES. That's right, he knew and spoke with the Son, the Daughter, and the Father just like Anakin and co did in the Clone Wars, and didn't go all murderhappy while he was there!

Yoda's around 850 right now. Before the GM's alteration to the timeline, Arden Lyn was at least 34 times older than him. After the GM's alterations we've just learned of, she's now that old, plus comparable in raw years lived.

Speaking candidly, Lyn's a good way to learn IC about the Ones, learn the Dark Side without being entrapped in toxic Sith Ideology, and generally mastering the Force in a way that is just out and out ridiculous. Now that I know that Master Arden isn't just a reference, but the genuine article? I really want Followers to win even more.

I like going against canon
You realize we have already moved away from cannon in the prologue alone? Anakin had a father figure this time, and a brother so he knows what family is like and has not been a slave for his entire life. Also no pod racing this time around. We also are going to be diverging even further from cannon as going on, unless you mean Anakin becomes a Jedi because that is a very large group with a lot of different aspects so we can always pursue other ways. Also for me and some of the other voters the plan is to get the basics from the Jedi then go and start training with other force groups like the Voss Mystics, Blackguard and others.

Also Coruscant Jedi are our best shot at completing the Jedi Knight ambition which gives us 10 chosen points and we can still train Teras Kasi there thanks to several Jedi practitioners being present there.

Also @aceraptor you talked about learning the old code?

Since its been confirmed we could learn from Arden Lyn, its likely we could find out the old je'daii code if we talk to her enough, and that's not including the fact that she'd probably have a pretty good viewpoint on the Jedi and their decline since Ruusan. It'd be interesting to get an observer's view of what's happened since then.

She's not a sith, and would likely stick to that old code, since its the last of her memories, barring if the Legions made their own code.

Old as in literally living, not sleeping for thousands of years

Even then, Arden would be older than Yoda, either by a little bit, or around 2.5x the age.

While true there are other ways to get jedi training and to be honest I just want to see what the other planets have to offer as foundations for anikin. Going to coruscant may be the one with the most mechanincal benefit but I just find it narratively boring and over done.

Yes and debated turning you into a test subject but hidden GM rolls made her like you enough to offer to teach you as opposed to kidnap you
DAT LUCK

Probably? Convincing her might be difficult, but she'd know how, possibly also have easy access to crystals.

QM has stated she's been awake a long time now...and how are you not tempted by learning form someone as close to the original Force Wielders as possible? The value is incomparably high. The Jedi teachings are so dilute at this point they don't compare to their own history, much less that of the Je'daii. Without learning from her, we wouldn't have access to such teachings...

Honestly, Yoda is the only really notable Jedi on the grander scale at the moment. And I would hesitate to put him above someone like Thon, or Nomi Sunrider, or Revan. Zan is on their level, and is a close line to the Ones. SHE COULD HELP US MEET THE ONES. How can you not prioritize that? We have a chance to interact with the Force on a visceral level we would never get otherwise, and lines to lots of interesting relics. This is a path to incredible benefits that will be closed to us if we don't take it now. We want to be a good chosen one? We need to understand the Force, and what our existence means. Where better to learn than from the most ancient sources, those closest to the Force?

...People really don't seem to be getting it. Palawa will result in Anakin living in a monastery for like 5 years at minimum to master Teros Kasi.

I really don't get the idea of being able to travel around when the choice is explicitly preclude getting that.

Also. We will be forgoing a huge payout in choosing to not become a Jedi Knight.

There's a difference between getting Jedi training and *being* a Jedi knight.

If we don't choose to go with Qui Gon we will most likely have to abandon the ambition to be Jedi Knight.

Whereas we can go for Teros Kasi mastery *after* we become a knight.

If people are worried about the holocrons just leave them at home.

Let's go with something a bit more interesting.

why do you keep assuming that the Coruscanti are the *only* way to become a knight when different orders and viewings of what it mean to be a Jedi knight/get the rank have been presented in this very thread?

Because they are the only Jedi. Other groups are force users, but unless you are a jedi no matter how good at the force you are, you can't be a jedi knight.

Because you folks are advocating getting training under a Dark Jedi who will be actively pushing Anakin towards using the dark side of the force and relying on his anger and hate and other emotions that the Sith feed off of to gain strength.

The QM stated as much.

Also. Will those other orders accept an essentially adult Anakin?
