Star Wars: The Chosen One (An Anakin Skywalker Quest)

Only problem is Padme's blind trust in democracy as best form of government
Communism is the truest form of democracy up until it becomes a tyranny. Considering that democracy is just the waiting periods between worthwhile tyrants, that's as it should be.

Bah, we don't have to seduce a senator to understand the corruption and th eincomptence of the senate and the republic. We just have to walk in Coruscante.
Is there no love in your heart? Seducing senators is the favored past-time of young jedi.

This brings up the point that the Council decides on when someone is a Knight, not our Master and not us. So if we aren't toeing the party line and cutting off our emotions/family then we will probably be stuck as a Padawan until Palpatine kills everyone. Just some food for thought. It would be kind of funny (like a sad clown) if we joined the Jedi and get hunted down, but don't make Knight to get the ambition and then everyone that could make us a knight has been killed off. ;p
Pfft, even Canon Anakin became a Knight.

Well since I only want Luke and Leia from her, meh. I never liked her because of how stubborn she was about democracy being right, everyone else is wrong. And I know it's not a very good reason to not like her, but she rubbed me wrong at times.

She had the terrible combination of being both naive and stubborn.

I think it's more meta.

Of course democracy is best. Movie is made in America.
Personally think aristocracy is better form of government but that's a convo for politics thread lol

He still went about it the wrong way. It was as if he was throwing his own apprentice away for a new one.
All qui-Gon did was say
Hey ive been teaching him for a long time and i think hes ready to try for knighthood and ive already someone in desperate need of teaching so he doesnt be a danger to himself or others by accident plus he might be the guy who balances the force and got the midichlorians to prove it

Excuse me, but the best form of government is a creche-based, and thus inheritance-less, social system overlaid with a Mondragon-styled corporation and a meritocratic education/promotion system.

Becoming a knight was something special. When your master recommended you for the trials it was supposed to be done out of appreciation for your skills and about you. Something you had worked years for. Quigon made it about Anakin.

So we're sticking to cannon like white on rice just like most other quests?

Following the Jedi to the inevitable slaughter even though we know that down the line we will be hunted and attacked just for joining them.

Making decisions that stick to cannon because we think we can avoid it.

Their are dice in this game and with that comes random chance. Our meta knowledge helps but is not key. Currently we are playing Anakin as a self insert rather than a real character. Following cannon so closely and modifying to so that we get what we want feels lazy as well as repedative. We have trodden the beaten path of Jedi before. It always seems to revolve around them being a story point. Why do this when in fact we can be anything we want to be.

Also an IC reason for picking Zen.

Anakin has known master Zen for say 2 years and have had the chance to bond with her and learn. Now with her offer coming like this it shows how much importance this means to her. Otherwise she would have offered it earlier. With the Jedi showing up and offering us the way forward to complet a long standing ambition shows how little we care for Teras Kais, but also for her.

i also think he beleived obi-wan was ready Anakin was sort of a cherry on top that happened to the size of the rest of the sundae

The philosopher king is basically a demigod...
I think that's what Plato wanted him to be but really the role just seemed like someone with strong ideals and a decently broad education. I'm folding plato's dumbass "true knowledge" under ideals here, because a disdain for *both* experience and education in favor of highly artificial, abstract thoughts is quite senseless.

Anyways, how strong will our control over the force need to be before we can reshape solar systems with our thoughts alone?

Yeah, I don't want to become a Jedi. I want to try out and explore the other Force Sects. Honestly, the Jedi also seems to be too restrictive for us. I want to do more than follow along the canon story track.

What's Fay then? Also, I will attempt a tally.

Yes. And who was Plato ? A philosoph. I think he has a high opinion of his "job"

We have talk about it. We can quit jedis and explore other sects later. Jedis geave us too much advantages to disband this option.
