Star Wars: The Chosen One (An Anakin Skywalker Quest)

Ah, but can it create light side empowered objects? Also, can they transform the person into animal form, and back within seconds?

Light empowered, probably if someone is strong enough. Like how Yoda can use Lightening. Really powerful Sith Alchemy could probably change people back and forth. Like a genetic mutation to bust out some claws or fangs on command.

He is the culmination of a thousand years of focused Sith training. To think that he isn't insanely powerful and manipulative is a very risky move to make.
I wonder where people get this. He isn't all that old and he certainly didn't actually "succeed" at being a Sith except through a technicality, since he killed Plagueis in his sleep. Whatever clouded the Force was Plagueis' doing too (the Veil), not Sidious'.

And no, Sidious basically mutilates himself trying to fry Windu and failing. I don't buy this theory that Sidious threw that fight or that he didn't mind becoming old and decrepit due to too much Dark Side burn.

Besides, if he really was so powerful and unbeatable, he wouldn't have needed to keep Vader weak, whom he barely taught anything and whose cibernetics were pretty substandard compared to Grievous's.

Spoofing his pre-cog and danger sense. That isn't to be underestimated. He also blocks all Jedi from long ranging Force visions. ALL Jedi in the Galaxy.

He used his appearance as proof of the Jedi attack during his speech to become Emperor. Another manipulation. He could eaisly get cosmetic damage fixed with bacta and surgery if he wanted to. So his appearance changing is only a gain and not a loss.

Because Sith like power. I mean he kept all his minions weak and had them fight each other to advance. Vader stayed where he was by killing all the other dark siders aiming for his position. There is also a good argument that the cybernetics were sub-par to keep Vader in pain and to keep his connection to the Dark Side strong and punishment for not killing Obi-Wan.

[x] [Story] Go with Qui-Gon and join the Jedi.

As said previously, the choice to go with the Jedi makes the most sense in character.

Didn't having cybernetics basically brought down Darth Vader's strength in the force and destroyed his potential to be the greatest force user ever?

That too, since the Force is about life. You don't get force with cybernetics. So he lost a lot of force power. That is why he wasn't jumping everywhere when he fought Obi-Wan on the Death Star. So more pain would increase his connection to the dark side and his power. Sure he could be like Grevious and have almost no force powers. Palpatine wanted force users to serve him, not cyborgs.

true and he lost it anyway when he took his lava bath
but he was a lot more dangerous since he had to learn the art of munchkining what power he had left like what obi-wan had to do to get that good

And then ditched Obi-want as soon as Anakin showed up...
he felt obi wan could do it(the trial) and knew anakin needed instruction since he was easily a yoda level potential that would have been eventually found by others at least this way he can make sure anakin isnt taken by some darkside cult or slavers that sell force sensitives to be manhunted

This brings up the point that the Council decides on when someone is a Knight, not our Master and not us. So if we aren't toeing the party line and cutting off our emotions/family then we will probably be stuck as a Padawan until Palpatine kills everyone. Just some food for thought. It would be kind of funny (like a sad clown) if we joined the Jedi and get hunted down, but don't make Knight to get the ambition and then everyone that could make us a knight has been killed off. ;p

He still went about it the wrong way. It was as if he was throwing his own apprentice away for a new one.

We join the Order. We become a knight. We seduce a Senator. We get disgusted by the blatant corruption and incompetence.

And then, the Revolution begins Comrade. Jedi Lenin or Bust!

Bah, we don't have to seduce a senator to understand the corruption and th eincomptence of the senate and the republic. We just have to walk in Coruscante.
