[X][Story] Write-in: Go with Qui-Gon and join the Jedi. Tell Master Zan about the offer to study at the Jedi academy. Say that it was a dream of ours to become a Knight, but that training under her has been an honor. Ask if, upon passing the Trials, we could come study under her once more. If she says yes, ask her if there's a means to contact her on her home planet and if she has any independent study materials we could use while at the Academy. If she says no, express our regret.

Would you mind telling me what her background is?

The clothing + crappy food thing is fine, we'll just be pushed to level in Teras faster to compensate.
Can the age-resistant meditation replace sleep?
Can it reverse aging or does it only forestall that aging which occurs while meditating?
How old do Jedi get before they die of natural causes?

My fear is based on Legends, Cannon, and everything else. His sheet makes him look like a Teddy Bear. That gives candy and hugs to small children.

No guarantee he is a Sith Lord......uh huh. He probably reached out through the 4th wall and mind raped you ;p

You could argue that killing all the Jedi to match the number of Sith does balance the Force. Also the vision implied Ones and Abeloth. Nothing about Sith. I would also rather wait until we are strong enough to ensure we can beat him or attack from stealth. I don't want to have to fight through unending ships/soldiers/dark siders he throws at us.

As for training in Force Powers. Just do that after we Master the martial art. Instead of spreading out focus on one thing at a time so we are GOOD at it. There is a reason the Jedi died during the start of the Clone Wars. They learned a bunch of stuff, but never got good with a lightsaber. Visit Naboo and spend time there working on stealth, make Padme our waifu and get R2-D2 love. ;p

Also all the people asking to go after we become a Knight, realize that by putting off the time until we become a Padawan as an initiate, we won't be knighted until much later than in cannon most likely. Also it is up to the council, who are traditionalists in regards to behavior and control when someone can take their trials. Look at Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. So I can see us still being a Padawan when Palpatine purges the Jedi.

You're made from midichlorians though...you could potentially live forever...
 
Hey @Arthellion, if the vote between going with Qui-Gon or Master Zan is close enough that the number of voters who voted for the current write-in could turn it around, would you just count them as votes for going with Qui-Gon, since they're basically also voting for the Jedi option?

I will. I view it as a vote for Jedi just with more fluff.

Edit: But more likely I'll just tag them all as it gets closer to vote ending if they want to change.

Well, we'll see, I guess, when/if Anakin's still obsessed with her in ten years? Perhaps my view's just colored by canon that way. It just always seemed kind of weird to me that she fell in love with him even though she met him when he was a little kid. First impressions and all...

It's funny how people keep ignoring the fact that Sidious went out of his way to slaughter dark siders throughout the Cone Wars as well, without much extra difficulty in comparison. In fact, that was a major part of why he prolonged it as it did, especially since his success was always in question as long as Mother Talzin still lived.

And he still got beaten by Windu in the end, and only won because Anakin decided to have a meltdown in his office right that moment.

He pro-longed it to kill Jedi and to get more emergency powers. Killing dark siders is like window dressing. Nice, but not the point. There was already a debate about the fight in the office. It is split between Anakin actually intervening, and Palpatine/The Force setting things up so Anakin had to make a choice.

It comes down to how powerful/manipulative you think Palpatine is. I prefer to go on the side of him pulling that off based on all his other actions. He is the culmination of a thousand years of focused Sith training. To think that he isn't insanely powerful and manipulative is a very risky move to make.
