Star Wars: The Chosen One (An Anakin Skywalker Quest)

I have, waiting until the really esoteric things go up. The time needed for the top levels /sigh. Battle Meditation is only useful if we have a fleet. And you can't use it while using other skills. Force skills tend to either be utility or combat skills. I want more utility skills like Stealth and Healing instead of Battle Meditation and Shatterpoint which only have uses at specific times. Passive buffs, not combat buffs.

Sure seeing an outcome of choices helps, but the future is always in motion. We got a lot of information for this vote which is like a shatterpoint, but things can go any number of directions. I want a Rouge type character, but people seem to want another direction. It is a twap!

We can be a Rogue type character and still command an eventual army. More than that, the quest won't end with Palpatine's rise, unless we die, so we could go on to keep learning all sorts of Force abilities until we're as old as Dooku at which point we might have to just retire somewhere nice, because we are getting too old.

[x] [Story] Go with Qui-Gon and join the Jedi.

The Master Zan option sounds super interesting, but the Jedi open more doors and are more connected to our ambitions.

1. To become a Jedi Knight: You've heard stories of the powerful Jedi. It would be so cool to become a Jedi Knight (10,000 Experience Points. 5 Chosen Points)
3. To Know the Balance: You received a vision and wish to understanding it. Reach Level 2 in the Balance Questline (+5,000 XP, +5 Chosen Points)
and possibly even somewhere down the line
2. To Master Teras Kasi: Your training has opened your eyes to your physical capabilities and potential. (25,000 XP, +5 Chosen Points)

Plus, If we manage to stay close to Qui-Gon we might learn something about the Living Force and his particular thoughts about the Jedi Code.
Qui-Gon Jinn was considered a student of the Living Force[2] and stressed its importance to his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, telling him that being mindful of the Living Force required him to keep his concentration on the here and now, rather than letting anxieties about the future come at the expense of the present moment.

Futhermore, given the way the Jedi are constantly traveling we could make use of our perk Wanderlust: (Gain 100XP for each new planet you visit) and even develop our piloting skills.

Quick question, it isn't clear when Dooku left the Order. Before Jinn's death or shortly after. So is there a chance to meet him on more pleasant terms?
Since Maul is still around and possibly even Plagueis, he might not be in contact with Sidious yet.

Afterwards. It was a response to Qui-Gon's death. If Qui-Gon doesn't die, he probably won't leave the Order.

Well, you have made this interesting so far, so no reason to blush (and your updates certainly come quicker than mine do  -- damn you, RL!).

I have a much easier college semester than my last so I'm just enjoying getting something creative done. Last semester I had close to 100 Pages of writing. This semester its barely 25.

[X] [Story] Write-in: Go with Qui-Gon and join the Jedi. Tell Master Zan about the offer to study at the Jedi academy. Say that it was a dream of ours to become a Knight, but that training under her has been an honor. Ask if, upon passing the Trials, we could come study under her once more. If she says yes, ask her if there's a means to contact her on her home planet and if she has any independent study materials we could use while at the Academy. If she says no, express our regret.

Well, SV does have a high tendency to play as a little bland goody two shoe, which can be rather boring. One of the reasons I dislike having too much control over a character.

This tendency is further increased in Star wars because of the existence of Force and people's bias against dark side.

We'll probably still end marrying someone(likely Padme, but possibly someone else), which is different from the official view. That might require us to switch to a different Jedi Order which allows such, or the Council might need to make allowance for that.
Isn't that a rehash of cannon.............not bad, just been there, done that. Now marrying Padme outside the Jedi order means we still get R2-D2 and can team up as a duo. Perhaps even save her when the Emperor purges the Senate? Much better than all that Angst McBroody Pants we got. If you liked Angst McBroody Pants, I am disowning you. From what? From everything.

The fast updates are a good thing. Keep the quest moving forward. I want to get to Abeloth/Vong/Thrawn if possible.

Exactly, that is why I want to avoid Palpatine like the plague he is.

@DerHesse, you do know that the ambitions you listed can work the other way as well. We can be a Jedi and learn the Martial Arts outside the order. The Balance Quest has limited things to do with the Temple, looking at you Abeloth. Qui-Gon is shunned by the Jedi, which is why he never made the Council. Jedi tend to derp into really stupid/dangerous situations that could be avoided. As a Padawan we would have near zero control. Once we reach Knight the Clone Wars will have started or will start in a couple of years. Not enough to really do anything. We could run ahead of time, but that defeats the point of going to the Jedi for training/resources/being known, in the first place.

I am honestly surprised so many people just want to go down the cannon path and get involved with the Sith. Well, it is going to be a very painful time when the Clone Wars end. ;p

If we do end up going this way (which seems likely based on the votes so far) we need to make sure we save all the Holocrons from the temple and have an evac plan set up far in advance. A ship not known to the Jedi we can grab, top level new identity from a perfect slicer, a way to change our appearance. Force Stealth also has to be a priority so we are not sensed out. If people are committed to going down the route of the Coruscanti Jedi then we need to prepare for when Palpatine takes over so we can hide and keep training. We need at least 2 back up plans as well to not get hunted down and killed.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but in the canon Sidious never used any mental Force powers on Anakin. He stroked Anakin's ego, his desire to save Padme, and his frustration with the Jedi order. He always wanted Anakin as his apprentice. The Chosen One of Sith. I don't think that he would put Anakin on any kill list. His goal would be the turn Anakin willingly to the Dark Side and baring that to torture him to it.

@Arthellion Hey so, would you mind publicizing the write-in + the note that Zan will take us in post-jedi more widely? While the ultimate opportunities would be the same, the possibility for better relations w/ Zan and potential Ker Teras training aids are significant.

Added your write in to OP.

And hmm? What spoiler? I have no clue what you're talking about. :p

If he couldn't turn him then he would be killed along with everyone he cares about, see Luke Skywalker on how that went. Plus there are high level force techniques that can influence the mind he probably uses all the time, see Senate as an example. The thing is that once we join the Jedi, we are on that list 100%. Sure he might pick Anakin as a new apprentice/dark side user, but we will be known no matter what. Security through obscurity. If we run then we will be on the list of missing Jedi to hunt down and kill. Whatever apprentice he cooks up to replace Vader will come after us like Vader did in cannon. Thousands of ships, millions of soldiers, a massive regime dead set on hunting Anakin down. There is no middle ground with Palpatine. We can't compromise or make a deal with him.

If he thinks we are too strong then he will keep us weak like Darth Maul. Get too strong and we will be killed off or sent on increasingly impossible suicide missions.

It feels as if the Jedi option is their for story purposes the GM has in mind. While the padawal option was a gimmick. Though I think that we could have so much more fun with the non Jedi option the bandwagon is to strong. Still I want to know space karate rather than letting it fall to the wayside for some laser sword.

Any option could work and if you end up being a monk traveling the galaxy that's y'alls choice. Do certain choices work better for the "end game?" Yup, but that won't prevent you from pursuing your own path as much as possible.

We can marry Padme(or someone else optionally) and still not be Angst McBroody pants. Its entirely possible.

Can't run from him forever. We're going to need to face him at some point. "It is our destiny."

We have been told there are Jedi who know teras kasi as well that we can continue training with amongst the Jedi order. Three were named earlier on the thread.

Did you read some of our past posts? We can continue training Teras Kasi at the Temple, there are Jedi who do know it.

Also do people here not want to eventually have Palaptine as the main major antagonist of our quest? People voted for the Jedi ambition already, of course now we want to see if fulfilled before we part with the Jedi as a whole.

The Jedi forbid attachments. That is what changed Anakin into Angst McBroody Pants. So yeah.....

Abeloth is our destiny and the Ones.

If you looked at the post on how long it takes to Master a skill, going to the Temple doesn't work. It is better to focus on lightsaber techniques there while we have the chance. Otherwise, why go to the Temple at all?

We can be a Jedi without going to Coruscant, there were a large number of past posts on all the alternatives. The Master stuck in a tree and all the other disciplines. Going to Coruscant to learn about them is kind of pointless since we will already be in a Force using group and have stuff to master. Once Palpatine comes to power he will purge all other Force users without mercy. While Darth Vader was the poster boy of that operation, I have a strong hunch he had a lot of help from the millions of soldiers, thousands of ships, and the galaxy wide Empire.
