Star Wars: The Chosen One (An Anakin Skywalker Quest)

Check the fluff for distrust. Its simply questioning if its the best way to live. Pretty open minded.

We can decide if we approve or respect it later after watching the Jedi in action and learning history.
Distrust is setting Anakin's mind about distrust about the Jedi code. It's not keeping options open its closing the door. It's just less so that the Doubt write in.

What I don't like the most about it is the negative connotation that distrust possesses.

Now I once again have to ponder why the kill Jar-Jar ambition is the only one without an experience reward, but 5 chosen points.

Hmm.

Hmm.

Probably a spoiler other-wise. If Jar-Jar is actually a Sith, giving him an XP reward of say 100,000 would give it all away. If it was only 100, he's probably not a Sith.

Guys. Can you please vote for my plan instead? I know people don't want to be a normal Jedi but just think about the connotation of the distrust option. It's a bit below the doubt option in terms of hostility. But it takes a hostile tone anyways. It's basically saying the Jedi is wrong while Anakin's not learned any other creed or code of force users.

Please vote for Guarded Respect to keep a open mind. It's specifically the option to keep a open mind.

Really, it probably won't be as bad as you're saying. After all, last time we all went the Jedi way and regretted fighting and thus got depressed. The safe, middle, good boy Jedi way might not always be the way to go.

Eh, the mild depression was worth the temperance we learned, Cliegg's continued regard and Owen's friendship. Especially since Owen will keep training under master Zan and might leave Tatooine to become a bounty hunter or whatever else himself, sooner or later. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a permanent ally/party member at some point.

In other news! The Chancelor ambition can be fulfilled by becoming the leader of our own government.

Urge to befriend a Krayt Dragon and have him eat Jabba intensifies.

Come on, the parents would probably have spoken/scolded us anyway, regardless of our choice.

Defiance + Justified would have resulted in determined trait according to GM. One of the only two positive traits we could have gotten from that vote.

Remember we are a fucking 8 year old, we are not supposed to be a saint, quite the opposite in fact.

We will have time to pick up shatterpoint before we finish dealing with Naboo and the Trade Federation, lets work on our other stuff first.

The way I see it is that we can increase our stats at anytime, as they're much cheaper than shatterpoint, so they'll be available anytime we level up. However, that triple level up we just got is an opportunity to make a larger investment, as it could be quite a while until we have such a large stock of chosen points again. Also, the earlier we get shatterpoint the better, as it has the potential to gain us gamechanging information at any point, and the longer we have to train it, the better.

Plus, the Mace Windu connection will make things interesting.

@Arthellion can you clarify what Distrust is? Is it Anakin keeping a open mind or is it Anakin outright rejecting the Jedi Code or coming to Distrust the Jedi?

What's the difference between Guarded Respect and Distrust? At least with regard to how it'll shape Anakin's views or personality?

I was actually just examining how the two would work. Neither "shuts you down towards the Jedi." Both are more: "I'm not sure if this is for me."

distrust is a bit stronger and will result in chaotic points being gained.

Guarded respect will probably result in lawful point being gained. You're not buying in, but you respect the authority of the Jedi

You're only 9. I'm not really gonna lock you into things though you may have strong opinions

Good, we have to maintain the balance.

And, I also like, that Anakin will only show the Jedi code further respect once he has seen it in action.

Right now, they are just pretty words.
