Would You Look At The Time! (Worm/Ben 10)

*jots down results*

Ah, cool. Then I need a d16 roll...

And may need one final roll after this one depending on how the roll goes through.

Huh. Alright.

Looks like you get to wander through town in whatever direction you do as one of my favorite aliens of all time, discounting the stupid buff/nerf they gave the alien in Omniverse...

So for anyone up with Ben 10, which alien is that? It looks familiar, but I haven't watched the show in a while.

That would be Ditto, a replicator who debuted in the original Ben 10.

Each Ditto has the personality and memories of the user, of acting individually from the rest, and they feel the pain of their counterparts when anyone gets hurt. If the Omnitrix times out, all the Dittos will be physically drawn back together and merged into one being again, but if one of the Dittos is prevented from rejoining the others--say, captured in a glass tube by Vilgax--everyone stays in Ditto mode until the captured Ditto is freed.

More importantly in the original series it was explicitly stated that if one of them dies, then all of them die, because there is only really one of them.

However, Omniverse came around and dropped both the pain feeling aspect and the shared death aspect allowing Ben to just sacrifice the Ditto clones without worry.

member of the colors wearing Merchants

Do you mean 'member of the Merchants wearing colors' or 'member of the colors-wearing Merchants'? Without the dash between colors and wearing, it flows a bit weird.

Also, it's kind of interesting how in Omniverse by strengthening Ditto they made Ditto less interesting. Like, Echo Echo was better than Ditto in every way, but that was the fun part: Not all aliens are equal to one another. I guess the important question is whether you plan on retconning that decision. If you don't plan on it, I have a suggestion: Why not go in every direction?

Primarily because you have no idea what Ditto can do. That might be something that can be chosen later once you have an idea what the alien can do.

I'm pretty sure Ditto's splits aren't all conscious, and they might not be noticed, so the idea would be unconsciously splitting when a decision on where to go comes up.

In the show, I think Ben could conciously do it as he once split up to play volleyball with himself, but having it be a go to instinct thing can be fun too.

No, I mean that he has done it without thinking about it at times, which implies it can be done consciously or subconsciously, so imagine her wanting to go to the Boardwalk/Commercial district, and not noticing as she splits in two and goes to both!

The thing there is both that she would be unaware of it, and the fact that that is specifically building your plans off a thought process that the characters are unaware of.

Right now Taylor has no idea what her alien form is going to be.

Having looked at other people's comments as well as my own analysis earlier, I want to have her head downtown where there's lots of stuff to have happen... but I think the in character thing to do is

[X] North-east to the Boat Graveyard

Taylor's feeling hurt and alone because her best/only friend just stuck in the knife and broke it off, so heading for somewhere she can have physical isolation so other people won't see her breaking down over it until she can come to some kind of terms with the idea is most in line with her previous actions, and especially the line where the option to just head home is crossed out because she doesn't want to go back there yet. The Boardwalk to be lost in a crowd might be an option if she hadn't just transformed to run away; she'd just draw all the attention there now and probably will, again, want the privacy to kick herself for doing that right in front of Emma and Sophia when she stops to think about it.

I'm not a fan of the show, but I've watched an episode or two back in the day. Upgrade is one of the aliens I liked well, but this...
THIS affronts my sensibilities. It makes Upgrade look like a mummy. I identified Upgrade with thin lines, but those lines are fat as heck!

I don't know how this design holds up in the newer show. I did not watch it. This quest is interesting though.

Yeah, that is a part of the general art shift that came around with the start of Ben 10: Omniverse, and I'll admit that yeah, at first I didn't like it either. A lot of other people as well pretty much have decided to Boycott the show straight out because of the changes to the Art, however after giving it a chance, I found that I really enjoyed the stories that the final series came out with (with some exceptions), and the art style over times grows on you, especially with some of the other aliens.

Alright, it's been 24 hours since the last vote.
