"INDEED. HOWEVER DUE TO SCREEN SIZE LIMITATIONS, IT WOULD BE FAR MORE EFFICIENT FOR DATA TO BE TRANSFERRED TO A NATIVE SYSTEM. ACCEPTABLE DATA STORAGE DEVICE DETECTED ON THE PREMISE. LOCATION: ONE FLOOR UP IN THE DOMICILE REGISTERED AS 'YOUR BEDROOM' WOULD YOU LIKE TO INITIATE DOWNLOAD?" The watch has barely spoken the words before you are already nodding.
"Yes, please." You say, so happy to finally have some way to learn more about the alien forms that you have gained access to. "AFFIRMATIVE. TRANSFERRING DATA TO LOCAL SYSTEM NOW." Before you even have a moment to wonder exactly how long it will take for the download to happen, the watch speaks up again, "DOWNLOAD COMPLETE. FILES ARE READY TO BE PERUSED AT YOUR LEISURE, TAYLOR." That was a whole lot faster than even what you had hoped for.
Once you get up to your room, you quickly slide into the chair at your desk, and your fingers dance across the keys as you put in your password. The old machine gives a shuddering bleep as it slowly hums back to wakefullness. It only takes you a few moments to find the folder that the Omnitrix downloaded onto the machine. Opening it up, you find nine different files, each with strange names, one of which you recognize.
Necrofriggian
Lepidoterra
Crystalsapien
Kineceleran
Galvanic Mechamorph
Appoplexian
Galvan
Splixson
Pyronite
You end up spending a few hours working through the files, because it is clear that User Zero Zero Zero had done their research. Everything you could possibly need to know about the alien forms you have access to is here on the files. The names of the species, their physiology, the planet that they come from, a brief summary of the species history. There are even notes about culture and the kinds of societies that they form.
Even beyond that, there is information about what the different species can do, and even theories about what could have happened to gift these species with the abilities they have.
From the bits of intangible debris that orbits the Necrofriggian homeworld which, along with the evidence in system, implies that the homeworld of the moth like species was not always as far from the star as it now is. Unfortunately, apparently no one knows what the debris is of, or where it came from before it pulled the planet out of it's original orbit.
Or, far more mind boggling, the Crystalsapien is a silicon based lifeform. It is an alien made out of what is most commonly understood to be rocks. More than that, which is saying something, it's body is some form of energy conduit with... if you are understanding what is being written here, nearly perfect conductive properties that would allow it to aborb energy. That's insane. It's also apparently somehow related to the development of the Omnitrix, but it doesn't say how...
Then there is the Kineceleran species, which apparently has the inherent ability to manipulate and completely control friction within a certain radius of themselves. Somehow. Even User Zero Zero Zero isn't sure what led to this evolutionary ability, or how it first began to manifest.
Compared to the others there is easily twice as much information about the Galvanic Mechamorphs are there are for any other species, and reading through the information it is pretty clear why. The Galvanic Mechamorph is an artificial species of the highest order - Half organic and half mechanical, the species was appartently accidentally created due to a malfunction in a terrforming device created by the leader of the Galvan species. Someone by the name of Azmuth. The notes cover how there was dormant biological matter beneath the surface of the Galvan moon, and when the terraforming device was activated it interacted with the matter causing some kind of error because the machine wasn'tt supposed to hurt living things? You aren't completely sure, but it ended up creating something that is neither machine or flesh, but in a way both.
There really isn't much in the file on the Galvans other than the information that you had already read about the Mechamorphs, and it is easily the shortest of the files.
The second to last of the files in the one on the Splixson, who are down right fascinating. The small child sized species that you transformed into come from the planet of Hathor, which orbits around a Green Sun, known as one of the Seventy-Two Wonders of the Milky Way. No one knows why the Green Sun is green, but it is theorized that it has to do with the fact that the sun gives off a very strange radiation. It's aparantly very similar to something called Chronaton Radiation, but you have no idea what that is. The important part is that due to the planet being constantly bathed in this strange energy that the Splixson developed their ability to apparently duplicate. However, according to User Zero Zero Zero, what the Splixson are actually doing is far more impressive.
They are... okay, the terminology is beyond you, but you are able to get the jist that they are somehow dividing themselves along their own timeline. Or something like that. The important bit is that while they do have the ability to duplicate themselves endlessly, all of the duplicates are actually the same being, just... their 'physical and temporal location are displaced along quantum variables about the curvature of the space-time manifold'. You don't really understand that, but you do get that it means all the copies share senses, because what happens to one of them is happening to all of them. What hurts one of them hurts all of them, and if you were to kill one of them, then all of them would die.
Finally, the last of the nine files are about the Pyronite species. A species made of living rock and magma, who live on the surface of a star. Words cannot even explain how cool, and how insane that is. Like, how does life even develop on a star?
Regardless... having read through the files, you now have a pretty generalized idea of what almost all of your alien forms are capable of... Glancing up at the clock, you are a little impressed to realize that still ended up talking most of the morning.
Shaking your head, you quickly throw together a sandwhich before grabbing a notebook and a pen for when you go to the library. You want to be a hero, to help people...
Your gonna need to know a lot more about the current state of the bay if you want to be able to do any real good. It doesn't take long at all to gather up the rest of the things you need, but you pause a moment as you start to put on your sneakers.
It takes like half an hour to get to the library on the bus. The watch has a speedster on it, the Kineceleran. That would be so much faster than the Bus... Plus it's a form that you haven't gotten the chance to test out yet, and you know how to activate the quick change system, so once you get to the library you would be able to change back.
[ ] Transform into a Kineceleran to get to the Library Faster
[ ] Just take the bus
So I'm gonna cut the update here - I'm still getting images for your research and stuff, and the bits of news haven't been completely typed out yet, but as I was writing the files, the idea of using the Kineceleran to get to the Library popped into my head, and it seemed like something that you might want to do.
Also premptively, I will say that Taylor is smart enough not to just, you know, transform in front of everyone and like blow her secret identity or anything. She's smarter than that.
