The oath, aaaah I've been thinking of this for a while. What would Taylor want? After Golden Morning she wanted to do better, to be better, and I think in many ways that factors into her dream. But at the same time she also wants to be able to be happy, to live a life she won't regret.

I thought that with our bugs and crabs we could just do both of these? Some bugs have vision more than good enough to keep reading.

Admittedly I was pushing that when Kaya started wearing one, but I'm not sure we can declare that now since we didn't even try to eliminate Kaya's.

Taylor's done a LOT she's not proud of. She doesn't really regret them, but she's far from proud about them.

Also... Old Yeller flashbacks... First time I watched that movie I cried for over an hour (I was 6, don't judge me).

I like how both the oath choices are kinda the same thing just worded different.
Feels nice to see us all on the same page for once.

-- I like how this is worded enough that I'm voting for it. It's not quite what I had in mind for Taylor, I was thinking something along the lines of 'finding a place to belong' but this works for me.

Didn't Tashigi already know about the book? Unless I'm very mistaken, she was trying to get us to turn the book in to the Marine HQ in Loguetown right after we bought it.

I had three dogs and all of them are dead.

One died from poisoning when I was like six years old. The neighbour did it, that's why we moved to another city.

One thankfully died of old age.

And the last one was run over by a car.

That's why I don't have pets anymore.

There's more to living a life you can be proud of than just being strong enough to not need to take the ruthless/morally dubious path.

It can also include being a better friend, having fun, etc.

Not having no other choice or breaking fate are all well and good, but they're limited in scope. Being able to be proud of the life you live can involve all aspects of life and is a goal that is always worked at.
