I don't think navigation is worth learning, because we have Nami to do that. The way the pirates work is that everyone is very good at something, while being or becoming competent fighters. There aren't really a bunch of generalists. We need to get competent at fighting, as we already have our specialty (BEES!). So I'd focus on speed and strength.

Would upgrading Conqueror's Haki help us not accidentally knock out everyone we talk to? Because I'd like for us to have control of that.

Correction that's how the strawhats work everyone else who was ever asked agreed that doing the pirates thing without knowing how to navigate your way out of a paper bag is borderline suicidal (okay we never got a mook's opinion on this but Taylor isn't a mook so who cares) and after getting good at your speciality is the best moment to learn secondary skills. Being that reliant on Nami even if she stays after Arlong's arc isn't wise and knowing a bit of everything else can't hurt

Ok ppl, hear me out here:

I know that most want to see the usual one piece tactics revived along with all the known and loved team mates joining along with further friends.
I hope that we will be able to look past our sadness about losing Usopp so early in the journey, but honestly? Rejoice! now we have the mysterious Sogeking with us waay earlier than the CP9 ark and i still remember his sniping ability fondly.

Along to my point:
I hope we could try something different in this quest and Taylor being a part of the crew is opening new and exciting possibilities.
I am suggesting heavy investment into the "Battlefield Command Ability", "Observation Haki" and "Espionage Skillset" areas. Imagine the Strawhats winning their battles not one on one, but blending through hordes of elite opponents led by a masterful tactician and capable escalataylor.
I, obviously, see that this is some hard departure from the tried and true Strawhat Formula, but inclusion of new blood is always followed by a change in efficiency. This time surely for the better.

Taylor already has seen how far she lags behind in comparison to the bog standart Pirate in the weakest of the oceans. hell, she got almost killed by Jango, JANGO! coupled with the epiphany that all the strong combatants of her crew (Luffy + Zoro) badly need some leading lest they attack the wrong people outright or lose their way in a straight highway... Thus i imagine Taylor deciding to set her plans of personal fitness and betterment on the backburner and remember how a well coordinated team could deal with any one strong opponent or another group of much less team oriented lone wolves.

Thus i propose:
[x] Battlefield Command Ability
[x] Observation Haki

Her Training Partner for this should obviously be Zoro.
Not only could she further the development of the "OPSS Zaylor" blueprints (may this ship sail some time in the future) but it would also allow Taylor to train the Moss Head in some more Battlefield awareness on his own.

Edit.:
I imagine Taylor would decide to restart her training for melee fights after she gains a respectable replacement for her lost arm. As of right now, i agree with the majority, she could train herself to reload potential pistols with her bugs, but imo Pistols werent ever really useful and any number of other skills would look cooler on Taylor.
She could steal Mr.4's dog-gun Lasso for example..

I am in favor of Espionage, Observation haki and training with Nami. The first two sound like a good combo, and Nami is closest to our level, which is an important thing with training buddies.

[X] Millinery
(Putting the 'hat' in 'Strawhat')
i can imagine little on her swarm and Queenie plust its good practice with her silk and good economy

But a) we are part of the straw hats, and b) other pirate ships do similar things. Most pirates can't navigate, or cook very well, etc.

Also, we are very underpowered in an actual boss fight right now, and we need to able to fight before we hit the grand line. Critically, we are great verse mooks, but bad verse dangerous people. Our Haki doesn't work well on dangerous enemies, and gets less relevant as they get more powerful and can resist it better. Once on the grand line, we will need to fight some powerful people 1v1, and can't just crowd control. We need to get better at physical skills until we are at least competent.

Taylor was Khephri, once, which means that she has experience with battlefield command.
Also note her constant inability to stop herself from going munchkin on her powers.

For now, East Blue is still a "weak" sea, so Taylor doesn't really have the context we SVers have regarding the world of One Piece: Which means that she won't be training or pushing herself to the max yet, at least until Mihawk shows up.

If you're a big fan of OP, you might have noticed Zoro was pretty relaxed, a lot more prone to enjoying himself and got into more silly situations before his encounter with Mihawk.

Mihawk's ass-kicking of Zoro's body and pride (using a tiny blade around an inch or two to not only fend off three katanas but also show how outclassed Zoro was) kick-started Zoro's monster Determination.

Without anything like this to motivate Taylor, she's not really a hundred and twenty percent commited to her survival and eventual Queen-Hood in this insane world yet.

So I hold the opinion that most likely, Taylor will focus more on her strengths first like her skills and physicality.

However, that is in context Taylor.

And I'm all for SVer guided Taylor.

Imma gonna vote for learning gunnery with Usopp, just to get to know him better, and result in Taylor accidentally shooting Johnny and Yosaku, Muahahaha!

Also Haki, especially Observation, since we see that it practically gives short term clairvoyance like that Big Mom Mochi-Mochi guy.

Taylor Hebert will be the happiest badass there ever was in One Piece, second only to Gol D. Roger. By Atago of Azur Lane, I swear!

[x] Train speed and Observation armament Haki

Quick question but shouldn't Taylor already have the Gunnery skill due to using a gun repeatedly on Earth Bet?

Honestly a good choice for our training would be Sword Training with Zoro and then a physical stat, slowly shore out our weaknesses while learning a skill that would combo well with our C rank Close combat.

Edit: also just how many people skipped the ending of the post? seeing so many votes that won't be counted due to the Moratorium.

Huh. People chose the Black Cat ship. I wonder if the people here realize the downside of it last being known as an Active and Recognizable Pirate ship?

For all that the Black Cats had been a despicable bunch they had kept their ship in good order. It had three decks above and two levels below. The bottomost level was taken up by the holds and was little more than a lot of empty space with some storage rooms at the very back for extra sails, some materials and gunpowder. The holds were being filled with barrels of freshwater, crates of food and slightly singed furniture from Kaya's mansion, but that still left them nearly completely empty.
We need to begin filling this hull with spiders, we need some silk, for armor, for crowd control and for trade.

Train
[X]Observation haki
[X]Close quarters combat
With
[X] Zorro
Having Taylor train CQC with Zoros is an opportunity for shipping. In addition we know for a fact that observation haki can be trained into combat precog and if she can't get hit she can focus on filling her enemies nostrils with bugs.

Knowing you will be hit doesn't mean you can dodge, also she won't know that she has haki and how to use it.

How does the stat system work?
Does each upgrade directly ups us to the next rank no matter how high for example: do we only need one upgrade to get us from B rank conquersto A rank conquers

Sailing and gunnery they're the most important for sea travel and sea battles and Taylor especially needs to learn them if she is going to do the actual work with her arthopod control!

Where do skill points come from?

Edit:
I am for something like this:
[] Train Observation
[] Discover QA
[] Luffy
