You have a heavily censored video that shows a BB player getting killed by a sub, with zero context as to where he was, or how he got there. For all, we know he yolo rushed.
Isn't that called survivorship bias or something like that?
I just played my first match in what I can only imagine is several years last night with @MagicianX26 and I think I still came second in the match which just goes to show that Belfast is vastly OP.

For real, PQ has been known to say a lot of stupid shit in bias of BBs while using his status as a member of O7 to push his narrative that BB's are somehow being powercrept, to the point a lot of the more serious players in the game consider him in a meme. I'm not trying to be disparaging of you, but you should know that he's a really biased source and a major source of laughs with his takes.
Also, like what @Parth, said, literally none of the context leading up to that sequence of events were ever shown in the video. Which is a tad dishonest, because a lot of things in WoWS happen because someone fucked up a few moves ago. Not showing the whole thing in full definitely lying by omission.
Its the automatic deactivation of the homing on a submarine's torpedo at a certain radius. As I mentioned, torpedoes stop homing into BB's at 2.1km, for cruisers its 720m (360 for a double ping), and for DDs its 120m. That's why the biggest concerns shouldn't be BBs, but cruisers and DDs feeling too much of the brunt.
The subs remind me of the old RTS CVs: most people suck at them but in the right hands you'd better pray. I personally don't like them very much: they add nothing substantive to the game. Is pressing G supposed to be engaging? All the time and effort spent on this really could have been put elsewhere.

Yes, Battleships can heal 100% fire damage, doesn't matter if you'll get lit on fire again (Thunderer says hello). But the problem with subs is more like that it does Citadel damage. Which you can only heal 10% of in a BB.

I don't speak for everyone, but I personally enjoy hunting subs. Hunting one down, either by circling around and dropping airstrikes on them or running over them with a DD/CL with depth charges, is so reminscient of the sadistic glee I get running down DDs with Bourgogne/Henri.
But then again I'm a CV main, making people suffer is kind of my skillset.
One thing I've enjoyed is that since the rocket nerf, DDs have come out more often...perfect for radar Minotaur! Full concealmemt build gets your detection down to 9.1 km while your radar is 10 km. Certainly a flawed ship (no armour at all) but very fun.
Pan-Asian researchable Tier V-X cruisers, as well as Tier IX Pan-Asian cruiser Dalian have been added to the game for testing. Pleas

So this is the blog post announcing the newest line, the Pan-Asian CLs. They are basically Atlanta-archetypes with the quick reloading pan asian smokes, and the lack of hydro or radar.
Seems underwhelming, but, look at this.
Tier VIII-X ships are equipped with the Torpedo Reload Booster and, starting from Tier IX, the Repair Party consumable.
Main battery - 5x2 127 mm. Firing range - 13.5 km.
Maximum HE shell damage – 1800. HE shell armor penetration - 21 mm. Chance to cause fire – 9%. HE initial velocity - 808 m/s. Maximum AP shell damage - 2100. AP initial velocity - 808 m/s. Reload time - 3.8 s. 180 degree turn time - 4.5 s. Maximum dispersion - 126 м. Sigma – 2.05.
Torpedo tubes - 4x5 533 mm. Maximum damage - 17900. Range - 13.5 km. Speed - 69 kt. Reload time - 133 s. Launcher 180 degree turn time – 7.2 s. Torpedo detectability - 0.8 km.
Would you look at that. 10 Deepwater Torpedoes on each side, ane with the Torpedo Reload Booster, twenty. That's basically the dread goddess KTKM herself, reincarnated!
Truly, someone at Lesta must have woken up one day and chosen violence.
Considering they removed team damage, KTKM has no excuse to not return anymore. (aside that she is a Tier Four being placed as either a Tier Eight or a Tier Ten). But 40 torpedo tubes sounds hilarious.
Ok so, its been a while, and I've gotten myself a few ships.
Alexander Nevsky
I've been wanting this one for a while, ever since I played her on the PTS and the Halloween event, and as such I spent a good chunk of my FXP resources rushing towards her. A CL that comes with 4x2 180mm rifles accompanied by a suite of stronger than usual armor and a powerful 12km radar, she's quite frankly one of my favourite ships in the game...
Aside from the fact that I'm pretty clumsy with her. No joke, I'm legitimately unsure how to play this ship. The best results I found seem to be doing the Moskva thing and angling out while tanking damage, but at the same time this cause me a lot of time and positioning that could give me more damage. At the same time, not running IFHE means that her HE is a lot more situational than in most cases, meaning more reliance on her AP, which require far better positioning to get the use of, as nasty as they are against cruiser broadsides at all ranges. Still, I can't seem to get kills with her, nor are my damage numbers consistent.
In addition, her torpedoes are also a hilarious tool at times, good as a knife in your boot final weapon against BBs or CAs that get too close.
All in all, finally getting my first T10 light cruiser has been a blast. I can't wait to trying for Minotaur or Jinan.
Z-52
My first T10 DD has been nothing short of a blast. For those who need a refresher - Z-52 has 3x2 128mm, a set of 2x4 relatively quick loading torpedoes, and a gloriously long range hydro of 6km. While her armaments aren't the best for cap contesting, the hydro makes it so any one who gets caught within is relatively doomed by virtue of their unawareness, and how they are guaranteed to be focused on. (Seriously, I keep running into people who charge into a cap even knowing that there's a Z-52 there. What's going on?). The fiendish KMS AP is just as fun to use as well, capable of tearing apart enemy DDs surprisingly quickly even with the weaker RoF. And with 10.5km torps and 14 km guns, its quite good fun farming the shit out of inattentive cruisers and BBs.
Vampire II
This one's been a long time coming. Suffice to say, after extended periods in Z-52 and thoroughly enjoying my first taste of DD gameplay I decided to bite the bullet, and instead of going for Zao and DM's legendary modules I went straight for this beauty. Seeing she's RB, here's an elaboration - a Daring Class with one less torpedo launcher and no heal, in exchange for the best DPM of all destroyers, a 5km hydro and a Crawling Smoke Generator.
Fun describes this ship pretty well. Crawling Smoke gives you so much flexibility when its active, able to creep around for two minutes straight and give your enemies no small amount of grief. The hydro, like in Z-52's section, is also great for DD hunting, except its even nastier combined with the crawling smoke and the greater DPM. Best part is, should you ever need to, you can help out a friendly Scheliffen get close to the enemy and just wreck havoc under the cover of your smoke train! I tried this a few times with a clanmate and the results were glorious.
My experience with these two have kind of solidified my opinion on DDs. I'm no longer a CV main, I'm a DD main now. (in all honesty I've played cruisers the most but I think most people know me for the amount of effort I go into talking about CVs)
Still, my next grinds are going to be Midway (and Kleber), and I've already grinded enough XP for Nakhimov, so I'm still playing CVs. But god are DDs just fun as hell when you finally get to grips with them.
Since they're making the Khab and Kurfest coal-only ships I've been grinding them out.
I went from Kiev to the Khab in roughly three weeks, and right now I'm currently grinding out the last 20K exp I need to unlock the Kurfest.
Seriously, anyone who doubts the value of flags and camo's needs to realize that when you're getting 8K exp for a loss and over 10K for a win without a %50 win bonus in only a game where you do average amounts of damage hasn't used them.
On top of that, I've unlocked the Harugumo which I don't have the Credits to buy, and the Worchester which I just gained enough credits to get yesterday, making it my second Tech tree T10 after the Yamato.

I've also gotten the Haru yesterday and it's very good. Can farm out enemy ships like it's going out of style. And if you use it with reload mod it even takes apart enemy Darings. Also has a big HP pool so it can take some punishment before going down. Though it's best played as a second line DD with someone else spotting.
I've also gotten myself the Napoli, very nice ship, especially when you want to push while under smoke. My tactic is waiting until the enemy BB's are a little roughed up so a single slavo of torps can kill them, then round the island in smoke and torp them. Of course, any DD you spot is bound to get chewed up by your SAP secondaries. But you don't get a hydro so you either need good situational awareness or a team to spot for you. But of course, what makes it so suitable for brawling is also its tanky hull. With a 60mm ice breaker and 60mm side armor it practically can't be citadelled if you angle right, but the aft and bow are only 25mm, wo you really have to pay attention to where you are taking those shells. All in all it's a very fun ship and I can only recommend it if you like brawling.
I've been (slowly) making my way towards Khaba (since I already own a Kurfürst). They're definitely not my favorite DD line, especially since I am now out of the Fun Zone of citadelling T5 cruisers. But they're definitely workable.
In general I got a whole bunch of ships I need to go and buy in the higher tiers, but I don't expect to make good money until next CB season.

Getting the Napoli is on my to-do list, I'm only at the Zara ATM, I'm going to grind out the conqueror which I'm almost at and then probably focus on her.

I'm only 20k away from the Venezia (except for the money because I'm saving up right now to get to the GK before it's removed from credit sale). Currently also at the Fiji, KGV (I've already got all the EP I need for Monarch but no credits right now), Tallinn, Gneisenau and some other ships that I'm not playing that actively right now.

My understanding was that if you had GK researched and you don't have it in your port, once it's made into a special ship WG will add it to your port for free. I remember back when Moskva was announced as being removed people were planning on how to best take advantage of it by selling Moskva before it was removed in order to gain some credits.
So, I noticed a community news blurb on steam for Warships, and it does seem like they are trying to communicate more.
Dated November 19, for whatever reason I can't copy the url, but its under the news section on WoWS steam page. It seems to outline and at least offer some explanations for their future plans.

P. much. Most of the stuff they promised two months ago has been done -
- all future lootboxes have their rates revealed and a guaranteed pity counter added, they are going to be adding rates for the currently existing ones in the future - including the New Year Containers.
- They are now avoiding putting ships exclusively in lootboxes or behind really shitty gating - as seen by Schlieffen's release on the Auction, the Soviet Carriers not being gated and all the Black Friday ships all available for sale in standalone packages
- all their balancing and their clan battle decisions have been made more transparent
- subs are significantly less cancerous.
They even wrapped up the whole LWM scandal by adding in Yukon's special camo for no additional cost.
Honestly feels like its going to be a pretty good run for the game, at least for the rest of the year. Arms Race is fun as hell, Ranked starting from T10 is a relief, and Schlieffen/Nakhimov are back to back great additions.
Also (double-posting isn't against the rules so fuckit) - SET YOUR BIRTHDAYS, PEOPLE. If you are willing to give Wargaming your birthday (or set a fake date, like maybe tomorrow), you can get a gift of 3 Supercontaners, some premium time and a 100% cashback coupon. Remember that you can only set said birthday once a year, so be careful!
I picked up a few Black Friday containers, I never got the Jean Bart as I wanted, but from the missions I got for doubloons, I should be able to get enough to get it.
All in all, I don't feel like I wasted any money. At least no more than I would have going out to buy a case of beer or something.

JB's pretty great - as long as you don't make the rookie mistake of trying to bow tank anything and everything. You are mainly a flanker with speed, try to avoid being the central target unless you have to.

Ehhh, I'm still pretty mad about subs. Since they're not fun to play against and can just dive if you spot them. Then you're out of luck because you only get 2 air strikes and he'll just continue to be there without you really being able to interact with him. And the new T11's (especially Conde which is just so strong you could brawl 2-3 people and come out on top if you know what you are doing). And the whole thing about Nakhimov striking you for 40k easily. So Nakhimov very much feels like another overpowered CV. So I will say from a balans standpoint it just became even more out of whack.

Airstrikes are one of the things I've found really dumb about subs so far. They're good, and they should be good, it seems like if they don't kill a sub they do at least leave it half dead and weak enough to kill next time it appears. The annoying thing is that they're way more convenient and useful than anything destroyers can do. If the sub has half a brain cell, it's not going to be somewhere you can sail over and drop charges over it without getting dangerously out of position yourself, if you can even get close in time.
My reaction to a sub spotted anywhere within airstrike range as a battleship being "sweet, free damage," while just hoping the battleships do something about it as a destroyer seems backwards.
