Weiss stood in front of the tall building with the single suitcase she had been allowed to bring, Yang and Blake standing beside her with duffle bags. Repairs were clearly in the works, but otherwise it was a decently respectable building.
"Welcome," Ruby Rose said, smiling, "To Fairy Tail, my home and family. Hopefully, they become yours too."
Ruby threw open the doors, revealing a bunch of scattered tables with people eating and drinking at them, tearing into haunches of meat and downing flagons of alcohol, a bar in the back with a pair of women cooking and making drinks for everyone. The people milling about glanced over at Ruby before crying her name, "Ruby! Mira!"
"Hey, I'm back!" Ruby called, "Where's Grandpa?"
"Back here, Ruby," an elderly voice called and Ruby led them towards an old man wearing a jester hat, "Welcome home. Hello Tai-Yang, Qrow. Who are these three lovely young ladies?"
"I'm Weiss Schnee," Weiss said.
"Yang Xiao Long."
"Blake."
"And this is Zwei," Yang said, lifting the dog in her arms.
"They've come from Remnant to join the guild, as a sign of good faith."
"I see. I was of the impression that there were no Wizards on Remnant."
"They can learn," Ruby argued lightly, before taking on a whining tone, "Please, Grandpa, it's my sister?"
"True, true," the old man nodded, "Very well, welcome to Fairy Tail. Let me get the stamp and we can give you your guild marks."
"I'm not sure how I feel about getting a tattoo…" Weiss said. Her father would be beside himself with anger.
"It's removable, if you decide to leave the Guild," the old man explained, gently.
"One sec," Ruby said, attention suddenly caught by a passerby, "is Laxus home?"
"Yes, wh-?"
Ruby lept to the second floor with a warcry of "LAXUS!"
A bolt of lightning flew over her head and she turned, transforming into a beam of light as she chased the lightning bolt. They flew around the guild hall, people leaning back in amusement before-
"White God's," Ruby suddenly remanifested, leg extended and glowing white, "Guillotine!"
She hit the lightning bolt, smashing a blond haired man with a scar across his face, spiked headphones on his head, and a black coat draped over his shoulders into the ground.
"What was that for, you crazy bitch!?" The man demanded.
"I told you, if you didn't help with the Guild War, I was gonna kick the crap out of you! Did you think I was joking!?"
"Yes!" The man threw a lightning bolt at Ruby, who dodged it easily.
"Anyways," the old man said, like the fight going on was an everyday occurrence, "Where do you want your marks?"
"I'll go with one on my shoulder," Yang said, tapping her right arm.
"In what color?"
"Does gold work?"
"Indeed it does," the old man pressed the stamp against Yang's skin, and there was a glow before he pulled it back, a golden Fairy Tail mark had been branded on her skin.
In the background, Laxus was punching Ruby in the gut, sending electricity through her body. To Weiss's confusion, nobody seemed to be reacting to it.
"Purple, on my thigh, " Blake said, lowering her tights enough for the old man to press the marker against her skin.
Aaaannnddd Ruby had grabbed Laxus by the face, slamming him into the ground.
"...On my hand," Weiss said, "in white."
The old man pressed his stamp against her skin, pulling it back to reveal the mark, "Alright, you two, that's enough."
Laxus looked up from where he was preparing to powerbomb Ruby, a glowing elbow in his back, "Fine."
"Fine, fine," Ruby said, dusting herself off, "come on, you three, lets get you your first job… Oh, hunting Direwolves, that's always easy."

They had been in the back of the carriage for two days, each of team BSL reading a book they had found in the Fairy Tail library about a type of magic that sparked their interest. Shadow for Blake, Heavenly Body for Yang, and Solid Script for Weiss.
The most basic skill of a Shadow Wizard is to store items, up to including themselves, in shadows.
Yeah, that sounded good, but how did you do that? Blake reached for the feeling in her body that had come into existence when Ruby opened her "First Origin". A seal appeared in front of her, before sputtering out.
"Good try, Blake," Ruby praised, sitting next to Yang, "We're almost there, so you won't be using your magic for this job, unfortunately. But don't worry, I'm sure you'll get a handle on the basics quickly enou-"
The carriage shook, and Blake heard the sound of the horses making noises of pain.
"And just like that, the fight begins!" Ruby said, disturbingly cheerful as she threw open the doors and caught the jaws of a wolf the size of a pickup truck. Breathing in, she breathed out a beam of dark tinged white energy down the beast's throat before throwing it aside, "Come on, girls, show them your stuff!"
Blake came out to see five slightly smaller wolves prowling around them, just the size of a large sedan. Blake drew Gambol Shroud, while Weiss drew her rapier, Myrtenaster, and Yang deployed her gauntlets, Ember Celica. Ruby was sitting on the top of the carriage, legs folded and head resting on one hand, "You're not gonna help us?"
"I'll intervene if things get too bad," Ruby said lightly, "but my magical presence would make the Direwolves run away, which will make the job harder, so I'm staying out of it unless I need to."
—
Ruby watched Yang rush towards one of the wolves, firing Ember Celica into it. The pellets hit and dug into the skin slightly, causing the wolf to turn towards her sister…
That was gonna take a while to get used to. The only family of worth she had known in her entire life had been Fairy Tail. It wasn't that she was unhappy about it, far from it, but it was strange.
Ruby caught one of the unoccupied wolves by the head, beginning to slowly crush it as she did. As she did, she suddenly got a feeling something was going horribly wrong. Crushing the wolf, Ruby stood up, eyes raking the area in an attempt to find the source of her distress. Then, as quickly as it came, it faded.
Ruby fell back onto the top of the carriage, hoping the kids got done with killing the wolves soon she could get back to Fairy Tail. Something was wrong with Erza, she could just tell.
Looking over, Ruby watched Blake drive her katana into one wolf's eye, piercing the brain and killing it. Weiss had, somehow, frozen her wolf solid, and Yang was putting a shotgun shell between the third's eyes.
Which left the last one…
Ruby flashed over to it, drawing back a hand back and coating it with magical energy, before driving it into the wolf's neck and severing it's spine.

Yang walked back into Fairy Tail four days later, the time extended by the loss of their horses. Ruby immediately made a b-line for Mirajane, face serious. Yang walked in, looking around awkwardly before going to sit at the bar, "Can I get a strawberry sunrise?"
"Of course! And to eat?"
Yang looked over the list, before saying "Can I get the spicy wings?"
"How hot do you want them?"
"As hot as you can?" Yang heard snickering from the tables near her, "What?"
"You're gonna regret that, girlie," the man with a pompadour said, "I'm Wakaba, by the way."
"Yang," Yang said. She'd show them.
"Why don't you find a table to sit at?" The woman tending the bar said, "we can bring the food out to you. Don't worry about paying, we'll put that on Ruby's bill. Is that alright, Ruby!?
"Huh?" Ruby looked up from where she was pouring over a map with Mirajane.
"Putting the girls you brought in's food on your tab until they make enough money to pay themselves?"
"Yeah, sure, go ahead," Ruby waved a hand before going back to the map.
"Can I get the salmon?" Blake asked.
"Grilled or smoked?"
"Grilled."
"We'll get it to you right away," she said with a nod.
Yang turned with Blake towards the tables, seeing Weiss had already been awkwardly pulled over to one by a girl wrapped in bandages. Yang took a long way around so she could listen in on Ruby's conversation quickly.
"That job, it's here, isn't it?" Ruby asked, jabbing a finger at a spot on the map. Mirajane nodded, and Ruby's face pulled into a severe frown, looking unusual on her face, "That's close to the you-know-what, isn't it?"
"She's not going to go there," Mirajane said, "at worst she sees it on the horizon."
"That doesn't mean it won't cause bad memories," Ruby said, adding just before Yang left earshot, "if they aren't back in a week I'm going to look with them. Take care of the kids for me?"
"Of course," Mirajane said.
Yang and Blake settled at the table Weiss was sitting at. The blue haired girl sitting across from them smiled, "Hey, you're all new to the guild, right?"
"Yeah," Yang said, "I'm Yang, this is Blake."
"Levy Mcgarden, and this is Jet and Droy. How was your first mission?"
"Pretty boring?" Yang said.
"They always are. They get more exciting, I promise."
"Are you injured from a job?" Yang asked.
"No, something else."
The wings were placed in front of Yang while the salmon was placed in front of Blake. Yang took a bite of a wing and-
Holycraponacrackerthatwashot!
Yang grabbed the drink, downing it to kill the heat, "Why is the hottest you have hot enough to kill a girl?"
"Natsu," Levy said, giggling, "he isn't here right now, but he really likes spicy foods.
