What Fresh Hell (Naruto SI)

[X] Name: Feruza Khagan
[X]
Land of Lightning - Storm-ridden Hellscape (I think I have the most potentially prepared for this option, but choose whatever)
[X] (S) Void Footsteps (+1) - Personal biomaterial degrades rapidly when lost e.g. blood denatures, scent evaporates, hair disintegrates - Does not effect normal physical signs of passage
[X](S) Second Affinity (+2) - Possess a secondary elemental affinity
[X] (M) Defiant (-2) - Increased bonus to resist compulsions, moderate bonus to resist bindings, highly disinclined to bind others (Replaces ancestor trait)
[X] (M) Freedom undreamt-of! (-3) - Immunity to compulsion effects, Immunity to Ordinary Spiritual bindings, unwilling to bind others spiritually in any way, has to resist impulse to break any bindings holding others. (Replaces ancestor trait)
[X](P) Adaptable Weapon Fighter (+2) - Never suffer penalties for utilising weapons you aren't proficient/trained in, for all but the most exotic weaponry.
[X](P) Double-Jointed (+1) - More flexible than typical, minor agility bonus, minor bonus to escape holds

Since we don't have huge amounts of chakra and we don't posses the shadow clone skill we can't train all 5 affinity if we possess it at an any short time frame. Also the adaptable weapon choice mean we will be good with all ninja weapons and don't need to train with them that much.(I want us to be as badass as it's possible considering the events that's coming)
Also if samehada ever absorbed our chakra what would happen?
Edit: So would this character be a battle junky?

Loved Redium's Warring Era quest, so I'll choose some place outside the elemental nations. Seems like it'll be sufficiently hard for my taste too.

[X] Feruza Khagan
[X]
Land Beyond - Outside the main area where Naruto is located (Most flexibility, but the least potential)
[X] (S) Void Footsteps (+1) - Personal biomaterial degrades rapidly when lost e.g. blood denatures, scent evaporates, hair disintegrates - Does not effect normal physical signs of passage
[X] (S) Second Affinity (+2) - Possess a secondary elemental affinity
[X] (M) Defiant (-2) - Increased bonus to resist compulsions, moderate bonus to resist bindings, highly disinclined to bind others (Replaces ancestor trait)
[X] (M) Advanced Paranoia (-1) -Very suspicious, will frequently take action to defend from perceived dangers, penalty to social interaction.
[X] (P) Adaptable Weapon Fighter (+2) - Never suffer penalties for utilising weapons you aren't proficient/trained in, for all but the most exotic weaponry.
[X](P) Double-Jointed (+1) - More flexible than typical, minor agility bonus, minor bonus to escape holds

EDIT: Was thinking of us being some kind of nomads that could ally with wind later.

Thoughts?

I want me a Nomadic Conquering queen. Plus I want to engage the elemental nations on our terms as best we can. Might allow us to pick up more skills if we're outside the war or can take advantage of it when ready.
:D

NB: MC is female.
And you'd have to encounter samehada to find out.

Do you know I hadn't even considered that as a possibility? It'd be an interesting one if nothing else.

@deadcrystal is a pure void elemental chackra affinity possible? Where it's not just tainting the jutsu but actually the primary component of the jutsu?

Not an affinity, or at least as much as anyone could be considered to have one you could say you have it. As for jutsu utilising the void...You don't know. It's something you'd have to experiment with.

Tattoo looks like this, if you're interested.

Honestly I kind of want to go the route of "let's use chakra to actually be a productive member of society" you know, instead of being a mystical warrior ninja.

-Profane Void - Any of the Tailed Beasts recognise your nature on sight, though whether they tell their Jinchuuriki is a different matter. It is unpleasant to use medical ninjutsu on you. It works fine, but it isn't very pleasant for the one doing it, something feels wrong.
Would they know we are a reincarnation? What would we be to them?

I'm fine with the land of lightning choice as long as we can expand outside of it. I'd think with Kumo being so militaristic they'd be more inclined to reach outside the borders too. The west seems more ripe for the picking than the iron borders in the east.

They wouldn't know you were reincarnated, but they recognise you as fundamentally wrong.

The default starting traits total a net +0, you have a net +3 to play with. Mildly complicated by the Obstinate trait being replaced by the ones that succeed it so that defiant is only worth an additional -1, and Freedom undreamt-of worth -2, but all the same.

You're still free to come up with more traits, both positive or negative if you can think of something you think works.

Seriously? So elemental prodigy costs a total of +5, not a total of +10? That changes things.

Oh gods no, costing that much would be absurd. It's different stages of the same trait, you're just choosing where you end up on it.

Edit: Since I realise that comment could still be ambiguous, yes, it costs only +5 not +10.

I only put up the first post very late yesterday, so I'll see where we are when it gets around to that time, but there's no rush.

Abominable Void - The taint permeates your entire chakra network and eight gates. This is indescribably unpleasant to those capable of seeing the network directly. Sharingan users, for example, experience extreme nausea if looking at your network with their eyes active. Results vary depending on the individual and the means by which they are viewing it.
So what we would look like to people who usesage mode?

What about traits affecting our natural amount of chakra or base health? I.E whether we have say, Naruto-levels of chakra or have Itachi's crap health.

What about a trait that effects our rate of learning?

Chakra is primarily a matter of training, though you could potentially have a trait so that your maximum is capable of reaching Kisame bullshit levels. You could have a negative trait that impacts health if you're after the points.
And no, rate of learning depends primarily on time, situation and resources Might be room for a trait to increase learning speed in a narrow area, but not a general global increase, all a matter of what you want to prioritise really.

[X](S) Second Affinity (+2) - Possess a secondary elemental affinity.
[X] Write-in: Improved Chakra Reserve (+2) - Our chakra reserves are just plain bigger, potentially speaking.

As best as I can tally when it's point buy and there are multiple traits, here's what's winning.

I'm going to bump the points on Freedom undeamt-of! to -4 so we balance to net +3 total, which is probably a better representation of the extremity.

I'll admit, not as much min-maxing as I was anticipating, I was expecting some finagled mix of write-in traits, but then I guess not everyone munckins like that. a/w, not calling the vote just yet, but I'll be calling it pretty shortly.

It's basically because I suck with coming up with interesting ideas for traits.
One idea of a trait I had is the longer we are in pain/anger the more the area around us suffer from a field of insanity/void emitted from us. But it sounded too boring.
