You shuffle a little, looking away. That look has been focused on you more than once by Amelia for some of your ideas.
A Klein bottle would be awesome! It's not your fault that reality doesn't seem to be permeable to itself...
Anyway. "So she should be fine with just a nap and some downtime? No need to go any further if she is going to be okay, right?" Best not to draw any attention to the scan thing now, you can ask her later about it.
A nod and roll of his eyes is your response as he sighs.
"Sure, sure, she can rest here for now, but she'll need a hand getting home."
"That's fine, I live with her so I can get her home easily enough."
He nods again, heading into his office.
After making sure Sam is asleep, you decide to leave her to her rest while you have a look for your target's friends.

It takes about twenty minutes to find someone from his class, since there suddenly seems to be a lot more people moving around the building. On the plus side, that means there are more people, on the downside, thats is a lot of congestion.
You were able to finally find out his Esper power from the girl who apparently shared a Product Design course with him.
"Frank's power? It's that… cat in a box thing. Tangles." She seems to suddenly realize what she just said and palms her face.
"Give me a sec." The girl pulls out her phone, typing into a search engine for a couple seconds before pointing the screen at you, displaying a wiki article.
"It's like that, but for anything. As long as you don't know what's in the box, he gets to decide. Entanglement manipulation."
The girl, Misa she said her name was, seems to nearly jump, her eyes widening.
"Crap! I'm late! See you Reporter-chan!"
And she makes like a hurricane and vanishes. You look over to where she had before jumping and spot a clock. That explains that then.
Entanglement manipulation eh? She didn't explain that very well, but you do have access to a rather sizable quality data base...
You find a quiet corner and boot up your phone's browser and access the local wifi.
User name in, password in, lets have a look at what your Society has to say about Esper abilities.
It takes a few minutes to find the section, which contains a few de-classified papers you should probably need some form of clearance for.
Shhhh.
Entanglement manipulation, a rather rare ability, with about twenty or so users in the city.
A slightly unusual power, letting the user manipulate the properties of 'unknown' factors, like the somewhat famous Schrödinger's cat thought experiment, if an outcome is variable, the users can choose.
Incidentally, every single user is banned from any gambling location in the city.
Hmm, there's a quote from one of the users. Pretty egotistical too, credited to one Shinji Tucker.
"You don't know whether the cat is alive or not, and really, neither do I. The difference between us? I get to choose. Uncertainty has power all of it's own and that power is Mine. Entanglement will be unraveled with these eyes!"
A dangerous sounding power, and apparently one that could allow creation of either a temporary or very convincing fake AI. You guess it must have been done using the space in the box, some kind of 'Black Box' type thing? Computers really are not your specialty, maybe you should ask Techie?
Text Techie about the AI?

Well, that seems to be all you will get from here today, and you have managed to spend another half an hour.
May as well go see if Sam wants to go home now or to sleep longer.
You take the same staircase as last time, not using your powers since you plan on abusing them to get Sam home fast.
The window was left open, right? That should make things easier.
-
Luck: 73 +43 = 115 -> Crit
You dodge past a group of people arguing on the staircase and head up towards the medbay.
"How did it end up like that then? You're the only one who would have done it!"
After a moments thought you ignore the arguing students, they are all at least two years older than you and it is really none of your business.
Sam is awake as you push through the door, smiling slightly as she sees you. "Hiya Ri."
You smile back. "Hey, decided to come back and check on you, got what I needed out of one of his classmates."
"We're leaving then?" She moves to stand up, tugging her bag from under the bed.
"Only if you're okay to, I figured you might prefer to sleep in your own bed though."
Sam nods her agreement with a grin. "Kagari Express?"
You grin back, "Of course princess~, you mind pulling up the map for me?" You hand her back her phone so that she has something to actually use for that task and turn to face the doctor watching you both in bemusement, asking a question that both causes him to raise an eyebrow and sets the tone of the trip home.
"Mind if we open the window for a minute?"

Fifteen minutes later you are tucking Sammy into bed, reality unraveled from the twisted knot you turned most of the roof's between the Dorm and the academy into. Would have been faster by yourself, but with Sammy exhausted and lacking skates...
Your range is pretty high when you don't need to compensate for anything being in the way, and with the AC-SkyWayTM App, you could plot your route out fairly well across the various rooftops. There were even helpful notes from other Espers who used the 'Sky-way'. Ha. ha. ha.
Interestingly, Kuroko was accredited on a couple of the one's closest to the Dorm, including a very useful warning about a retractable roof.
It did cost the majority of your reserves however, leaving you feeling tired and hungry.

Sammy gave you her phone again, and it is about 5pm.
What Do?
[ ] Onward! To the shop that you never caught the name of, Neka-Camera-drone-thingie awaits!
[ ] Eat first, recover some EP and make sure Sam stays asleep.
A quick check of your email while you deliberate reveals that you have received a 25 Credit bounty for the picture you sent in to Pyro Post. Not much, but it did pretty much buy your entry to the Society.
The pictures you have taken so far are on the private server as advertised too, so those are safe.

He continues, seeming to have taken your silence as a no. "Well once she's up can I just ask her, it really does just look like exhaustion, though I'm not sure how she would have burned down that low..." This is followed by a pointed look at you. It's one you are somewhat similar with, most Espers are. The 'Crazy psychic kids don't know when to stop playing god' look.
And yes, an entire generation managed to learn a look to convey exactly that message.

Schrödinger's cat is a thought experiment, sometimes described as a paradox, devised by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935.[1] It illustrates what he saw as the problem of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics applied to everyday objects. The scenario presents a cat which may be simultaneously both alive and dead,[2][3][4][5][6][7][8] a state known as a quantum superposition, as a result of being linked to a random subatomic event that may or may not occur. The thought experiment is also often featured in theoretical discussions of the interpretations of quantum mechanics. Schrödinger coined the term Verschränkung (entanglement) in the course of developing the thought experiment....
