Warhammer: Perseverance and Grudges

I can fill it in, essentially we are at a tipping point with the Grobi up north, if we cock it and don't hurt them this turn, expect a fight on our hands. To the east we are doing a battle with the Grobi from up stairs and to the mines to the east. the south is just a hornets nest waiting to be lit off by a warboss, which wont happen at least this turn. the south west is the same with the east except there in the engineering hall. Honestly, if we either go with the Bronzebeard hall's, or the forge and district we can curb most of the damage the grobi can do before its to late, In the north at least. The rest is just stretching ourselves way to thin.

Known Ogre and Goblin Tribes
The Information about these tribes affect their battle Rolls and Dc checks for certain things as well as providing certain units

Did this because it adds a bit of diversity to the Tribes for both the goblins and Ogre's. (I would not worry about knowing this as I will add this info to updates when it is needed that way you have the Info on hand this is just the place where I store all of it so you can see what you are up against as a whole. It Will also act as a nice little sheet to see how many goblin and Ogre tribes you wipe out.) (Will also start factoring in their unique traits from next turn only so it does not apply for Turn 3)

Information about this tribe (Represented in Purple)
-Ambushers: This Goblin Tribe prefers to strike from the shadows, hitting patrols and striking at weak spots where they can and have grown used striking unseen and is their preferred combat method. (+15 to opening Ambush rolls and have a chance to actually ambush troops moving near their tribe's locations)
-Sneaky Gits: This Goblin Tribe is known to Excel at concealing their numbers from rangers and have more than likely evaded their prying, expecting larger numbers than what is reported by the Rangers the general rule when dealing with them though sometimes they're right about how many there are but that is a rare occasion. (Expect larger numbers of goblins when attacking them. Battles against them have a roll of determining if the rangers spotted the correct number the DC for this is 70 (So rare for you to not be facing more than you think.))
Information about this tribe (Represented in Dark Green)
Siege Experts- This Goblin Tribe has been known to siege forts of the Kazad-Ankor and survive, their artillery has also been noted to be a bit more effective than what is expected from their umgak skills. (+10 To all their artillery rolls)
Looted Gear- The Goblins of this Tribe have desecrated the vaults and dead of the dawi, they wield both arms and armour of your fallen kin. (Do not suffer from being a fodder troop unit and have better DC's to their casualty rolls.)
Information about this tribe (Represented in Brown)
Trolls- This Goblin Tribe has managed to secure itself a troll enclave and while not as smart as the average ogre their regenerative capabilities make them far harder to kill. (This Tribes armies have a few trolls in the mix.)
The Change to the map is purely cosmetic mostly, the dots represent the different tribes now, this was so that I knew which tribe was where and so you know which group is which. Now I kind of forgot to add their differences in point form during the update. (Mostly because the map I was working on at the time was lost and I kind of just posted after that as it was the last component and I was rather tired so sorry about that.) Will remove this and the map at a later date once the turn passes.

For everyone voting for "axe and hold" you do realize that for the residence hall needs a 70+ roll to succeed right?.

I know, I did the numbers for them, and the dice and modifier's from our units check out with the rolls needed to win. And its a 60, not a 90 with the forge. Honestly, with the units assigned we literally, can't lose with the units assigned, it would probably be more of how well we do, and how many injured and dead we get. Though, I would like to know where, you got the idea in the first place, as it only says minus -60% chance. Which can be evaluated with the proper hero's and units. Especially cmpared to the forge. And we have got to start taking care of those damned mines, especially as their under night goblin wanabee's, because the number of units need to be on patrol is really starting to hurt.

Hey @Mad0Slayer, can we get a timer for how long we can vote, so we know when and when not to from now on? And Can Wick also be used for Marshall actions, besides just intrigue ones?

One thing I'm curious about. How do the remaining sky titans view other existing giants? Since they probably only or at least mostly encounter slave giants I'm guessing uh, not good.
Mix of pity, and despair. On the one hand, they were once kin who were not able to help stave off genetic corruption by inbreeding, leading to dumber generations, and unfortunately, stupid wanders, that pay for food, ale, fighting and a place to sleep and shit. Most of which, have been either broken in the mountains of mourn or the darklands. On the other they were once kin of there's that got a rough hand to them, and have know the knowledge that in a few centuries that could eventually happen to them. Just look at the giants of Albion to get my grasp of how doomed these guys are.

You can use him in Marshall actions as he specialises in combat, (Though he has a Higher DC to pass to avoid injury in the Martial category options)

As for the vote, I think another 60 Hours so about 2 and a half days before I close the vote.

Welp, Im feeling good about my plan now that, that's been explained.

Vote closes in 24 hours.

You snaped the haft of the arrow as your armour runes flared slightly while you glared at the approaching grobi, "Pull back to the Barricade!" raising your shield in time for arrows to impact against it your armours runes clashing against the grobi fire, the hoard of green already pushing you from the front as more of their cruel kind flooded in from a nearby hall that the rangers had said was clear.

One of your fellow dawi ahead took a glancing blow from a spear across his armour as a looted dawi axe clanged against his shield, he lashed out to bisect one of the grobi only for the grobi ahead to pile atop him.

Stepping forward you beheaded the nearest offenders while snaping the neck of another with your shield, one of the clan checking over your kin, as you stood at the front of the line, the grobi keeping their distance as they poked at you with their spears, only for you to lash out and grab a nearby spear and brought your shield down snaping it as you felt a grobi dagger glance off your plate armour, glancing over them you growled as fell back in line noting the dwarven weapons amongst them than any other, no doubt looted from the many dead of your fellow clans or from previous battles.

"Guzzen Un Back" The Longbeard of the Ironbreakers called out, you took a step forward and cut down two separate grobi before throwing a good few back with your shield before rapidly and in sink falling back a few paces as the grobi reformed their line, gritting your teeth you looked for their leader and felt your stomach plummet, standing atop an overlook stood Oget as he grinned nastily.

You barked a few orders out as you dealt with another grobi before pulling back behind the formation, a burst of flame incarnating a group of grobi who tried to flank you as your formation was pushed out of the hall and onto the bridge.

Clearing the formation you gave a quick nod to elder Floki and glanced around as you spotted grobi running atop the abandoned hallways that ran across the bridge, while below you could hear their vile songs and war drums echoing in the distance and below.

Growling you managed to spot Johnugrim pulling back, the grobi hounding his group just as much as the legend dealt out death against any of the grobi along the right flank his axe flashing as it dealt with any offenders.

You managed to direct the regiments around you to pull back and regroup with one another though it was slow going especially as you had to protect the grudge thrower, which was been pulled by it's crew, though as you watched another group of grobi swarm from behind you, the dawi from gronti holding them at bay you knew that their was little chance of you fighting this on good terms.

You heard a shout of warning as a volley of arrows flew into shatter against your shield and armour though not all were as lucky it seems as if the ancestors were on your side as it seemed you would not be burying one of your kin yet. Though as you saw Oget reforming a large force behind the main group you knew that if you did not make it back to the barricade soon you would be fighting a hard battle.

Glancing over the halls you saw grobi archers taking up position in nearby above halls as they started to loose more arrows, only for a runedrake to unleash a full stream of flame cooking anything within buying you more time.

"WAAAGH!!!" you dived to the side as you heard a grobi plummet towards you and just in time as a score of grobi ambushers landed amongst the rear line and were cut down in moments without issue but it seemed that for every grobi you cut down another could take their place at least for now.

Though as you were about to make your decision on the gathered throngs course the throng fell silent as you saw Oqet lifted high, though your eyes did not rest on him but on the head of an ancestor and two garazi within his hands , their lifeless eyes staring at you.

Glaring daggers at the grobi your stomach on fire you tried to wrestle with calm as the dawi around you roared in fury managing to push the grobi back but the line thankfully hold making Oqet frown, grinding your teeth you ordered the throng to…

[] Order the Throng to Charge and wipe Oqet while he is at the front and show why to never anger the dawi. (You will stand and fight the Grudge Thrower becoming part of active combat straight away and your Trait Stalwart applies)

[] Order the Throng to pull back but to ensure the Grudge thrower is secured for future use (will have to roll three phases before you reach the barricade and defensive regiments.)

[] Order the Throng to destroy the grudge thrower and retreat to the barricade in good order. (will have to roll one phase before you reach the Barricade and wait 1 extra phase to receive reserve defence regiments.)

***

You will be facing Oqet's Tribe first and this is followed by a smaller raid from the Night Spear Tribe

Will work out the losses later but none of the regiments actually had anyone die and they're healthy enough to avoid any debuffs.

"Guzzen Un Back" = Push and Back

Well, I did say this would happen, (I know now the meaning of the phrase: I hate it when I'm right) I only wish we could've achieved all of our objectives before that happened. but sucky rolls and all that. Well, at least it isn't a complete disaster. We set and took one of the three rooms and suffered relatively little in that regard, now all we can do is repel this assault and split this Grobi's skull. And make sure the night goblin wannabes are gone.
