Alright, so, now that I'm back on my computer I'd like to expound a bit vis a vis the benefits and drawbacks of both:

To put it simply, not going after her is conservative. There is little chance of a blow-up, or a blow-out. But in that conservatism, your wife might put on yet more masks, more air; and she will withdraw, hide more in her shadows.

But to go for her now is to clear the air. She will not have time to think how best to word it, how best to speak it, how best to make herself look, only raw emotion and truth, truth like she has not spoken for some time. Though this will birth-- almost undoubtedly-- a storm, the devastation wrought as such will open space for new love, born on only-- and entirely-- truth to bloom.

Well when you phrase it like that then there is only one option then:

[X] "You have an odd definition of Malicious!" Rip out of her grasp-- you will have explanation of this...this betrayal.

[X] "You have an odd definition of Malicious!" Rip out of her grasp-- you will have explanation of this...this betrayal.

I feel like voting for this with that clarification.

o_O You do realize that most of the fae that live in Bretonnian woods work for The Lady right? You really think she would allow you to fuck with her shit even if you are a Grail Knight all because you want revenge?

we are a Grail Knight, as a literal we can't fuck with her shit as it is close to impossible, if we are able to kill them she is allowing it

[X] "You have an odd definition of Malicious!" Rip out of her grasp-- you will have explanation of this...this betrayal.

[X] "...There will be an accounting, one day." If you go for her, now-- wrath of betrayal, so close to another-- you will do, you will say, things that you will be incapable of taking back.

We have been patient and trusting of our wife, but I believe that it's time to get some answers from her.

I hated it when Philip's son was given to the autumn court, but I wasn't there for the decision. Then she gives them another child behind our back, without our knowledge or consent. Anger and demands are more than justified RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

Now that this is clarified I'll vote for it

Yeah I voted for it before because her handing over another child of ours in secret and then never trusting us enough to talk about it? And then us just standing by twiddling our thumbs afterwards instead of demanding answers? Fuck that noise. Now that I hear it'll prevent her from putting up fake masks and lying to us again I'm all for it, I doubt there's any argument that could sway me now.

My choice here isn't about the Fae. It's about our family.

Don't argue mad. Don't debate mad. It's bad relationship principle. It's bad marriage principle.

Don't give away a daughter to the Fae without talking to your partner about it and then lie for decades about said untold daughter. It's bad relationship principle. It's bad marriage principle.
*Takes several deep breaths*

Please don't twist my post against me. It's not funny. It's not clever. It's not snarky.
It's just asshole.

I am voting from the perspective of "I am responsible for how I handle myself and my emotions". You are allowed to vote for the other option, from another perspective, but give me the basic respect as a fellow voter to not engage in this level of banal immaturity.

*shrug* sorry I angered you so much, I'm low on sleep and stressed, didn't realize you'd be so upset

>TFW You realize you've accidentally made a total fucking mess of things that once were good and, having read more, realize you've accidentally made a protagonist with no character

Urge...to reboot...and make a better quest, with characters that have...character...and with a tighter...narrative focus...rising...

(AKA Goddamn it Voikirium, you done goofed. Again)

(I mean, I'm probably not going to-- at worst, I'll make a second quest and update it concurrently-- but it does kind of hurt, knowing that I could do better now and being incapable of that)

An example of why we sometimes ought to stop and think before responding to something?

Not... really? I mean, they're wildly different situations in just about every way possible, other than somebody getting annoyed. But one is because they were total strangers who neither know, nor owe anything to each other, and the other is a husband and wife who were supposed to trust each other and not maintain any crazy secrets like this. He just found out his wife had had a secret child with him that she then gave to the Fae without telling him Jack shit. I think he deserves to get angry, and deserves to get straight answers, not the lies and half truths she's been feeding him for however many years she's been hiding this. She's had years to come up with a good excuse, let's see if it holds up

I just don't believe that "anger" translates to "good way to handle oneself in a relationship". That's the perspective I'm working from and voting from, and don't feel compelled to change it.

Let's drop the subject, before we find this disagreement escalating?
