I don't think so, we only really care about Vale and expanding kinda puts it in harms way.
Besides, swamp is not exactly best place to even expand to and we have a whole mountain range to pacify of a large kobold kingdom.

Plus splitting off a portion of the populace and having them build and live on the other side of a mountain range sounds like a good way of undermining our efforts to integrate everyone into a single, cohesive tribe. We'd end up with the Stranglethorn Gurubashi and Morass Gurubashi soon enough. Better to limit any permanent presence there for the time being.
I think it might be worth it just because we'll need a prolonged presence there just to get rid of all the Hakkari stink and if we're already clearing a mountain path we might as well take advantage of it
The biggest issue IMO is that it's where the orcs will eventually make their debut

Like most problems I think the hardest part of any thing is a reason for why the gurbashi would do it, like I cant see a reason why jojo who wants to unite the tribes and rebuild what was lost will waste time expanding outside the vale when he can barely use all the land he has now and risk turning human gases towards us cause at the moment the humans and elves hate the trolls. as for dealing with hakkar shit yeah jojo would leave that to the lao
I imagine it would mostly be because you can't just get rid of the Hakkari juju in one sitting, it would take a prolonged effort

We are gonna wait until we have done the integrate of the tribes before expanding into Morass, and remember, the trolls have no problem with having a empire, the old Gurubashi empire was all the way to where the Farraki Tribe are right now
We did it once with the Altar of the Blood God in Zul'Gurub, it was the place where the old Gurubashi empire spilt all that blood to the blood god, so we could clean the taint from The Temple of Atal'Hakkar and use it a city in Morass
