Scout - East: To the east lies the Farmlands, the farms were abandoned during the Plague as the farmers fled to Tyr´s Hand. -Alexandros has started to gather the men and the supplies, meager though they may be, needed for a Militia unit. Barring any unforeseen accidents, the Militia should be done training next month. Will be completed next Month.

Send out Patrols: It would be a good idea to start sending out patrols and start clearing out the undead that loiter around the roads and the woods, this has the benefit of making the trip safer for refugees and more will be able to make it to you, it will also make it easier to set up outposts later.
Cost: 500. Time: 1 Month. Chance for Success: 70% Reward: Dead Undead, 100+2d100 Refugees join you each month patrols are out. Required: 30. Rolled: 55

Similar events happened throughout the month. Reward: Fewer Undead near the City, 100+2d100[56, 95] = 251 Refugees.

Diplomacy: You are smart, beautiful and able to charm almost everyone you meet, is there any wonder why you have taken over the diplomatic aspect of the Crusade? (Pick 1)

Hold a Speech: The Scarlet Crusade is newly founded, your people are worried about the future and the refugees are in a bad state of mind, this is the perfect time for you to make a speech, of who you are, of what the Crusade stands for and the future you will lead them to.

-Standing on top of the keep in Tyr´s Hand, wearing your armor and with your new sword Clarent on your back, you look out towards the people gathering, everyone that was able to come has come and it shows, the entire yard is full. You can´t help but be a bit nervous, you have never spoken in front of so many people before, but you steel yourself, step forward and you begin your speech.

"Over the last two years our country has suffered greatly, first the plague appeared, spreading through the towns and cities of our kingdom, killing our people and turning them undead, soon after the Scourge appeared, gathering those that was turned they assaulted our greatest cities and conquered them despite the best efforts of our armies."

"When Arthas returned from his expedition to Northrend, we were all overjoyed, the Scourge had stalled, they were disorganized and we were pushing them back, he had succeeded in his quest to slay the Scourge leader, but we were wrong, with his help the Scourge took over the Capital and killed most of its population. Over the next year he wiped out several towns and killed Uther the Lightbringer, led the Scourge against the elves and destroyed their capital as well as the Sunwell, he killed of the leaders of Dalaran and summoned demons to our world and when he returned here he tried to wipe any survivors out, before he left to Northrend again."

"But not all hope is lost, formed from the remnants of Lordaerons armies and the surviving paladins of the Silver Hand, the Scarlet Crusade is born, led by heroes such as Saidan Dathrohan, one of the original four paladins, and Alexandros Mograine, wielder of the blade Ashbringer. Our mission is to eradicate any and all undead and to restore Lordaeron to its former glory, but we cannot do it alone, we will need you, to grow the food we will eat, to make and repair the weapons and armor we will wield, to live your lives so that we know what we protect when we fight out there."

With one smooth move you draw Clarent and points it over the crowd, the blade sparkling in the sun, and you say with a clear voice.

"I am Angelica Menethil, last surviving member of the Menethil line, and I will make this vow here and now, Lordaeron will rise again, stronger than ever before, the undead will be completely wiped out wherever they are and Arthas will be made to pay for his crimes."

As you finish your speech there is a beat of silence before the crowd starts to cheer, looking over the crowd you can´t help the smile that appears. Reward: Boost in Morale, Boost in Opinion, ??? Increased.

Stewardship: You are a Genius and nowhere has that been more apparent than now, seeing you quickly and efficiently going through piles of reports and paperwork concerning every little thing in running the realm is awe-inspiring. (Pick 1)

It will be dangerous as you don´t know if the Scourge or any other creature have moved in after the farmers left so you should probably scout the area first.
Cost: 2000. Time: 3 Months. Chance for Success: 70% Reward: Small Farming Community, Less danger of overpopulation, +500 Farming Income. Required: 30. Rolled: 70+10=80

Will be completed in 2 Months.

Cost: 500. Time: 1 Month. Chance for Success: 60% Reward: You find someone that becomes the Spymaster. Required: 40. Rolled: 80

-After searching through the population of the city and the refugees that were already in the city, you struck gold with one of the caravans that arrived after being saved by your patrols. Invar One-Arm, your father's chief assassin were with the caravan. He explained that when he heard of your survival he joined a caravan that was headed this way. He quickly accepted the Spymaster job, after being offered.

Invar lost his arm in a battle during the Second War and after having passed out from pain, he woke up in a cell filled with other captives and with his wound cauterized. Not content with remaining a prisoner, he and a few others hatched a plan to escape. A few weeks later the plan was executed and the prisoners were able to escape. After returning to Lordaeron he was unable to rejoin the army due to his injury, but one of the other prisoners were a member of Lordaerons Intelligence Service and after having seen what Invar was capable of recruited him, Invar quickly rose up through the ranks of the assassins and soon became their leader and the rest is history. -Towards the end of the month, a small explosion was heard in the refugee camp one morning as you were overseeing the resettlement work being done, you quickly ordered the guards around to investigate what happened. Half an hour later the guards returned with a sot covered man in overalls, looking towards one of the guards with an eyebrow raised, she began to explain.

"Your Grace, we found this man at the site where the explosion originated from, when questioned on what happened, he told us that he was working on a way to replicate the dwarven guns and that the explosion was the result of an unstable mix of gunpowder."

Nodding, you turn towards the man, if you were to guess you would say that he was in his mid-thirties, he was wearing sturdy clothing, which was covered by an overall, and a belt with assorted tools as well as goggles and a wielding mask on his head.

"What is your name?" you ask after looking him over.

"Aldan Nathon, at your service, your Majesty." he says bowing at his waist. "I am an Inventor, the best one in the world if I may say so, my inventions will one day change the world and one day with my inventions man will walk on one of the moons.

"Oh?" you can´t help but ask amused. "And how many inventions do you have that works?"

"Ehehehehe." He chuckles sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. "None yet, but that will change soon, once I replace everything I lost in the explosion, sorry about that by the way, it won´t be long before I make the first human made gun.

Tilting your head slightly you come to a decision.

"Your hired, gather what you need and report to the keep tomorrow morning, you are our new research leader." With that said you turn back to what you were doing before, leaving Aldan dumbfounded.

The next morning you got a new companion. Reward:

Train with Brigitte - Martial: You have never been one to fight physically having always preferred words to settle disagreements, but with the way the world is right now it would be for the best to start training in combat. Brigitte, your bodyguard, is willing to train you when you are able to take breaks.
Cost: 0. Time: 1 Month. Chance for Success: 90%/50%/10% Reward: +1/+2/+3 Martial, Increased Closeness to Brigitte. Required: 10/50/90. Rolled: 99

-Training with Brigitte one thing became very clear, you suck at using weapons, swords, bows, daggers, axes, maces, spears, it didn´t matter what weapon you tried to use, you just couldn´t make it work. This continued until one day when you and Brigitte was looking through the armory for a weapon you could use when you saw It, a beautiful silver sword adorned with red decorations, and you couldn´t help but fall in love. Picking it up you saw the name "Clarent" inscribed at the base of the sword.

Calling for Brigitte and telling her that you wanted to test the weapon you found, the two of you had a quick sparring match, and even though you lost it was a stark improvement from previous spars. Happy that you finally found a weapon you could use, you couldn´t help but hug Brigitte, and thank her for the help before releasing her and going back to sparring.

As you lie exhausted on the ground, with Brigitte sitting beside you with only a light sheen of sweat, after the sparring, you decide to ask her about what she likes to do, looking a bit surprised she hesitates for a few seconds, but soon you have struck up a conversation. Reward: +3 Martial, Clarent (???), You and Brigitte are now Friends?.

Here it is, hope you like the speech and the characters.

Great start for the kingdom. Hopefully we can build some docks/shipyards on our Eastern coast.

Our mission is to eradicate any and all undead and to restore Lordaeron to its former glory,

Lordaeron will rise again, stronger than ever before, the undead will be completely wiped out wherever they are
Welp, there goes any chance of a peaceful resolution with Sylvanas' faction. Or peace with the Horde.

To be fair, nobody wants peace with the Forsaken, they're not really anyone's friends.

That aside, it's nice to go from below average to actually pretty competent with a sword!

Fuck Sylvanas, the horde would be better off without them. They're squatters in our rightful kingdom and throne.

One thing that i do admire is what they did with the sewers, if we do take that back we're going to clean them and make it into an underground place.

Wait, we rolled a crit success and didn't improve our relationship with Brigitte?

Again, and let me be clear.

The Forsaken are nobody's friend. Their chief advantage is that they hate Arthas more then they hate the living. It literally required a bullshit handwave to include them into the modern day Horde, because they're pretty only marginally less evil then the Scourge (And even that's more because they're not a hiveminded bio-horde like the Scourge is. They'd probably be more successful if they were)

And on top of that, they're squatting on our capital city.

Individuals may be treated with on a case by case basis, because yes, there are a small handful of decent folk among their number, but on the whole, the Forsaken are almost universally a race of villains, and Trust should never be your first response to them, because the majority of their species will happily and gladly stab you in the back for some form of advantage, transient or otherwise, because their ability to feel anything but hate is atrophied, and they need to actively Try to be decent people, because it no longer comes naturally to any of them.

After all, Putress wasn't killed off because he murdered their own allies. He was killed off as Collaterl Damage because the Alliance's reprisal on the Undercity--Sylvanas' was only interested in dealing with the coup that happened alongside it--more likely, if she was left to her own devices, she'd just tuck Putress out of sight to get the plague right next time. And the Horde has no territorial ambitions in the Eastern Kingdoms as a matter of overall policy, and had backed them up in the past.

They're kinda sitting on our capital city, so peace was highly unlikely to happen since I doubt Sylvanus is willing to leave peacefully.
It's more than likely that rolls would have decided that, not anything set in stone. Probably a very high DC roll, but still. Also, merging with them might be possible for the common goal of revenge, though again, that would probably be very difficult.

We could make common ground with the Forsaken, which translates to let's go kill Arthas' Lich Necromancer because he's running a cult of death worshippers who seek to spread the plague and is sending agents into our ranks to mess things up. Even cooperating with the more moral lot of the Royal Apothecary Society in the name of SCIENCE!

Unfortunately there's two big elephants in the room, the first is that they're squatting in the sewers of the old capital and the second is tall with bat wings and horns. You can't trust a Dreadlord to watch your cat let alone loyally serve as Chancellor.

Yeah, those are two major sticking points.

And let's not forget that Sylvanas Still trusts a fucking Dreadlord in a position of power

This requires high tier delusion, or such short-sighted thinking that she figures he won't stab her in the back until Arthas is gone, rather then stabbing her in the back in a way that fucks over his enemies too. And he basically subverted the Royal Apocathery Society too.

And they won't abandon the Capital, because that would weaken them, and they're not good at accepting disadvantage for any reason, no matter how much it might pay off. The Forsaken are, in general, very bad at long-term planning.

Ahh, always feels good for every roll to succeed, especially when there are several excellent successes :)

We've got excellent, non-crazy Intrigue and Learning advisors, a sweet sword and decent Martial now, delivered a great speech, are off to an excellent start resettling the farmlands, and we can start researching ways to counter the plague.

I think the reason she trusts that Dreadlord was because she made him "break" a taboo(killing another Dreadlord, he didn't but she doesn't know that) and now thinks he has no other place to go but to serve her.

Well I think she simply believes he has nowhere else to go. He's failed in keeping Arthas in line, lost his army and then 'killed' his 'brother' (from her pov) the Legion wouldn't want him back and everyone else...

Not to mention he is probably the best learning/intrigue advisor you could have with knowledge of a hell of juicy secrets to tell. We need to get rid of this guy... After we shove our boot so far up his arse light blares out through his mouth.

At least I think our Learning Advisor isn't mad, well evil crazy, a regular nutter with an obsession we can cope with.

Medium long term we should probably look into taking alterac to threaten the capital and have a place to keep the majority of our population Taking out Anderhol should more or less be possible and if we can isolate Schoolomance and reduce the number of necromancers that be a major bonus that could make taking back more of the eastern plague land more vaible.

I think that without Sylvanas's super moany sad sad angry hate choking out most other opinions amongst the Forsaken, some could be some nice folks.

After all, some joined the Argent Crusade full time and others decided to just not join the Forsaken in canon.

Man, they could have played Slyvanas way better but she dived into derpy levels of evil and self-sabotage so fast it made my head spin.

Really makes one wonder why nobody's kicked her teeth in.

Well aside from her being the leader of a PC faction.

Honestly looking at how things are going I almost feel sorry for the orcs having to go through another redemption arc while another more blatantly evil faction within their own midst gets away scott free.

Semi-serious:

Makes you wonder if Varimathras was secretly corrupting her.
Also makes you wonder if the only reason his takeover at Wrathgate failed was because he didn't quite influence her enough.

Dreadlords are the masters of the manipulating/mind magic stuff.

Who knows.

Unfortunately there's no clear big Forsaken character to take her place, so they obviously aren't even close to lopping her her.

I mean, we had the son of Cairne, all these different orcs, a ruling council of Blood Elves, Vol'Jin...eh, I guess not much for Vol'jin either.

But you get the point.
