Warcraft: Fallen Kingdoms (Old)

[X]Questions?
-[X] Ask about the situation with Garithos, What is the Alliance's stance regarding him?
-[X] Inquire about the possibility of smaller alliance naval vessels heading up the Thondroril river, to harass Scourge travelling between Andorhal and Scholomance.
-[X] Mention the Hearthglen is under siege from Stratholme but has not yet fallen to the best of your knowledge. And that a friendly port on the Northwestern coast would have the dual benefit of blockading the Scourge and not having to travel along the Troll-infested eastern coast.
-[x] Ask to coordinate diplomatic contact with the Forsaken. Might be very useful to have some friendly undead to deal with diseased scourge materials.
-[X] Ask if is it possible to have a joint venture to cure the undeath disease with the forsaken.
-[x] Ask if Calia is still alive.

From the Sea – Part 4
Interlude

From the Sea – Part 4

"I have a few questions, the most pressing one is if you can send any aid to Hearthglen."

Barean shakes his head as he answers you.

"Unfortunately not, with land route blocked by Andorhal the only way to send aid would be by ship and with the expedition to Kalimdor, needing to block the Scourge navy from going south, and the losses we have already taken, we don't have enough to help them."

You sigh at the answer.

"I see, that´s disappointing, but if you can´t do anything let's move on, my next question involves Garithos, what information do you have on him?"

"At the time he was the highest surviving authority we found and with no news about your survival we decided that he was the best chance at restoring Lordaeron as he had a large military force of surviving soldiers with him already, both Stormwind and Ironforge sent forces and supplies to help him, the blood elves also sent aid that was led by prince Kael'thas and it seemed to be going very well, they had retaken Dalaran and we later got reports of them taking the Capital, but somewhere in between those two events it seems that the blood elves were arrested for treason and locked inside the dungeons of Dalaran from which they later escaped. We don´t know what treasonous acts they committed, as we got conflicting reports, but the most prominent one was that they had been seen consorting with the Nagas, a few weeks later we lost contact with Garithos and later learned that they had been wiped out." Bolvar answers you.

"Nagas?"

"They are best described as humanoid sea serpents, they have been appearing along the coasts of the continent, attacking and raiding our ships, coastal towns and villages."

"If it is the same group of Nagas it does not paint the blood elves in a good light, but do we know if they belong to the same group?"

"We don´t know, but every Naga camp we have raided has had the leader bearing the same mark despite coming from different clans."

"I see, that will be something to look into later, but for now is there anything else or shall we move to the next question?"

"Nothing else, we can move on."
"My next question concerns the Forsaken, if it is possible would you be okay with cooperating with the friendlier Forsaken? Whether it be military actions or conducting research into the plague?"

Bolvar frowns while he thinks.

"The king will probably listen to you in regards to the Forsaken, but if we are attacked I can´t promise anything."

"If you are attacked I don´t expect you to do nothing in response."

You hesitate to ask your last question, afraid of what you might hear.

"I have one more question, do you have any news regarding my sister?"

Your resist the urge to shift as you wait for an answer, but by the look on their faces they don´t have a positive answer.

"No, I am afraid not, we have searched for her but haven´t found anything."

"I see…that is saddening to hear. I have no more questions, we can move onto the aid you can give us." You can´t keep the disappointment out of your voice as you speak.

Bolvar nods in response.

"Okay, I have documents with me that has the details but I will give you a quick summary for now. We will be operating out of Kul Tiras, everything will be transported there before being shipped here, we will be able to come around every 3-4 months.

We can transport a maximum of 2,000 volunteers, but that won´t leave room for anything else, if you want or need something else transported, like herbs, we would need to remove at least 500 volunteers for you to have enough to last till the next time we arrive. Unfortunately you will have to pay for anything other than the volunteers.

There have also been a number of mercenaries and adventures that has shown interest in coming here if you post bounties and offered missions with pay."

He hands you the documents as he finish speaking, taking a quick look you can see that it will take a few days to go through it all, when you are finished you raise your head and look at them.

"My council and I will go through it all, in the meantime you, your soldiers and sailors can enjoy our city."

You depart after bidding farewell, on the way you order the council to gather in a few hours.

You have 4 slots in the transport fleet. Each slot can hold 500 men or one of the items below. You have to pay for the items each trip. Each trip will take 3-4 months. Remember that you are ordering 3-4 months in advance. If you are doing a project and run out of the material needed the project will halt and an negative effect will occur.

Once you have an excess of something you will be able to sell it.

Bounties

You can post bounties on your various enemies and if the pay is high enough, adventures and mercenaries will come, this will of course weaken the enemy without you having to sacrifice your own men at the cost of gold.

There are two main enemies in the EP, the Scourge and the Trolls, both of these have items that are carried by their troops, Scourgestones by the Scourge and Beads by the Trolls, the more elaborate the higher the status. There are four level of troops:
Basic (3g Min)
Advanced (10g Min)
Elite (35g Min)
Leader (80g Min)
I have also included the Minimum bounty that you should set, you can go lower but there won´t be many that come, even at Minimum not many will come.
If you feel like you are losing more gold than you are willing, you can limit the amount of bounties that can be turned in each month and/or restrict what bounties you accept, like only Basic or Advanced or both but not higher.

Leaders does not include Bosses, so you will not destroy the leadership but you will cripple it for awhile. Bosses are special cases and are very dangerous, so don´t expect Adventures to take out Baron Rivendare for example, you can put bounties on Bosses but expect a lot of dead Adventures and needing to put the bounty in the thousands.

I have made changes to the economy spreadsheet, which I will put up next result turn. (You earn the same amount of gold)
I have also made changes to the soldiers stats.
The last change regards Ashbringer and Clarent, I have removed the martial bonus and replaced it with a Combat Bonus and a Military Roll Bonus, you haven´t lost anything.

If you see something is wrong and won´t work or feel that something can be improved feel free to tell me.

It's back!

Also, nice options.

I take it the Wool and Silk are mostly upgrades for our mages and priests?

Hum, we'll probably want cattle and/or sheep. Get food for our growing population(in case we aren't fast enough at researching a way of cleansing the lands with the light*) and plan for a gear upgrade that we can't give them ourselves.

We should be able to outfit our own troops through mining expansions so that's less of an issue.

That leaves volunteers(not pressing but useful when we start clearing out scourge targets in earnest), herbalism(should boost combat effectiveness for our troops, though the need for health pots could be mitigated by training enough priests) and horses(I think we'll want more farmlands first to be honest, also upgrading to iron/steel).

Hm...

*Mind, I'm hoping to expand the monestary first, get our priest training started, see if it will lead to a second piety action eventually.

Apologies for double post but...

@Genezz looking at page 9, our priests(when compared to the mages) seem to have lost 2 defence and 1 mobility in the conversion. Losing some of the survivability their volunteer bonus was geared towards.

If we lost most of our volunteer bonus, why are our archers still mobility 9?

I don't think we need potions just quite yet and this shipment will arrive come Juli. Mid-late summer means it'll be winter before we can harvest them if we order seeds, may as well wait until the next shipment.

Regarding bounties:

[X]Yes
-[X] Prices:
--[X] Basic Scourgestones: 4g each, 85g per 20.
--[X] Basic Troll Beads: 5g each, 55g per 10.
--[X] Advanced Scourgestones: 14g each, 75g per 5
--[X] Advanced Troll Beads: 14g each, 145g per 10
--[X] Elite Scourgestones: 50g each
--[X] Elite Troll Beads: 45g each
--[X] Leader Scourgestones: 200g each
--[X] Leader Troll Beads: 180g each
-[X] General Bounties(basic, advanced, elite, leader) are capped at 3.500g(Scourge) and 3.000g(Trolls) per month.
--[X] Additionally, there's a separate bounty pool for high ranking Scourge(elite, leader) at 2.000.
---[X] Bounty pools are counted separately(Total possible bounty drain of 8.500/month on the treasury).

Prioritizes the headcapping of enemy leaders quite well, though more so for Scourge leaders because we know their grunts don't always work willingly.

Also Troll regen making their basic soldiers harder to put down whereas the Scourge only needs to raid graves,

I'm okay with the rest, but I'd like to leave the bounty on Leaders uncapped, in order to incentivise getting more of them.

Good point. Though perhaps not too uncapped.

Maybe set up separate leader pools of 2k/1.8k each?

Mind, this would be extremely expensive, adding 3.8k leader bounties to the 6.5k for general bounties would mean spending up to 10.300g a month.

Current income is 19.411g/month. And I'm hoping to purge a scourge base soon(and expand our military).

Sure, our income is still growing but I'd like to expedite some stuff.

Oops, my bad, that´s what you get when looking through three different files.

I'd recommend keeping the troll bounties capped, but uncapping the Scourage for one simple reason, or at least increasing the cap. The troll leadership collapsing overnight would make them easy picking for the Scourge which is bad when they've got a lot of dead underneath their stronghold.

Done.

Though the Troll leadership collapsing overnight wouldn't be that bad if the Scourge leadership also collapses.

We should probably put some condition on the bounty that all slain bodies should be burnt.

Edit: Actually on a similar vein we should probably invent some sort of auto cremation trinket for our forces (or at least the commanders) to wear while on the battlefield that torches their bodies upon death.

I'm hoping more for individual dungeon bosses excluding the final boss.

I'm expecting for stuff like "whoever manages that ziggurath", "the leader of that plague cauldron" or "the leader of that group of 20-40 undead."

Lower ranking officers mostly. Though I'll extend the Leader pool to include elites as well. We can deal with their mooks...

That is what I meant when I wrote Leaders, I just wanted to clarify that it didn´t mean the ones that are in overall control, just the ones that handle certain areas, whether it be a building or a large patrol and such.
