Another thing I just remembered is that Alexandria came by one weekend and removed the ship blocking the Bay. So they may not be doing the Parahuman Experiment full bore like they do in canon/fanon.

Are they still known as the Triumvirate? It's Alexandria, Hero, and Legend left the group?

Minor critique for this great story;

Why was so much focus of the story on the ship and storm. I was just waiting for a rock Worm or leviathan reveal for all the words and foreshadowing it was doing, just to get the 'yep, nothing to see here' conclusion from everyone but those already in the know.

I kind of read it as sort of a lead-in for appreciating just what Leviathan can do which might become relevant later.

Er, in this story? That would seem at odds with recent events.
Oops, wrong story.

There are a couple of Eidolon died/Hero lived stories out there, one where Alexandria moved the ship. Also one where Alexandria is about to pressure Taylor to join, only to find Legend (who had left the group when he found out stuff) waiting at Taylor's house to support her

The last two stories I read where Alexandria moved the ship were by @Ack: Earning Her Stripes, where Alexandria turned the ship 90 degrees, and A Darker Path, where she, Legend and Bastion cleaned up the Boat Graveyard as part of the payment for Atropos Ending the Endbringers.

I quoted that for a reason, you know?
I stand corrected.
Maybe he moved straight to the US instead of China in this story? That might explain a few things about him that are different.
Point of fact, according to the timeline Lung came to Brockton Bay in September of 2008. So the ABB is fairly new as a gang. The Archer Bridge Merchants I think are suppose to have been around in one form or another for a while though.
The ABB under Lung is new - he incorporated all Asian gangs in Brockton Bay into it. But there was a gang that had the ABB name before Lung came in and took it over.

The storm it's self is kind of thing which is very impressive and terrifying to live through. But more importantly, it can happen naturally. And the entire point of what Taylor was up to with the drillipedes was "make it look like the storm removed the ship naturally". It's just that the storm she planned to use as a cover was far worse then predicted and could probably have legitimately done the job on it's own. So Taylor's work on releasing the ship from the reef ended up having a much greater then expected result.

And to Costa-Brown's horror, the video call was recorded as is standard practice. She also fails to notice the webcam was on (and recording) and call started while she changed out her Alexandria identity due to the monitor being turned off. The resulting congressional inquest ends up revealing Cauldron's existence and all their crimes across multiple Earths. Legend gets off with merely a (large) fine due to his "friends" keeping him in the dark about all the Crimes Against Humanity going on.
Funny the way her monitor was turned-off? Almost as if it had some sort of bug? :)

In my fic Recoil, Taylor (having travelled back in time) manipulates Eidolon into dying to Behemoth in Jakarta, and plans to make sure that Hero survives.

Hero, understandably, is entirely in favour of this outcome.

Armsmaster looks around the table before saying "This was recorded less than half an hour ago."

a quite rhythmic thumping can be heard over the speakers that is slowly getting louder. Then a few moments later voices could be heard.
" The Driders are marching eight on eight hurrah hurrah.
The Driders are marching eight on eight hurrah hurrah.
The Driders are marching eight on eight
The Nazis had better not be late
and they all go marching down to the docks
to get out of the drain
...."
The voices diminishing as they travel off into the distance leaving only the rhythmic thumping to be heard once again, and total silence at the table.

I wonder why the people responsible for parahumans, knowing about the existence of some very dangerous super-hornet, do not take any action to find it. It seems to me that Colin or the dragon should flood the sewers with search drones and systems. Of course, Taylor can easily avoid them, but she can also "accidentally" expose herself at the right angle, just for fun.

You know, this whole story reminds me of the late 70's early 80's camp-sci film "The Food of the Gods".
A meteor swarm hits Earth, and either exposes or releases a fungoid that when animals or insects eat it, they grow enormous.
I specifically remember a Yellow Jacket large enough to carry a grown man. It stung him, and the medical doctor said it was like he had been stung by a hundred hornets.
Food for Thought. Lol.

Why spend resources trying to track down a rarely seen and generally helpful, arguably heroic, entity when there are so many active criminal parahuman threats to deal with first? Remember, PRT ENE has continuous budget shortfalls and can't afford to deal with the problems it already deals with, much less invest in actually dealing with merely potential issues.

Because they have neither the equipment nor manpower nor the training nor the support nor the mandate nor the funding to run city-wide subterranean pest control.

For the same reason Kaiser doesn't flood the docks with men in an attempt to find the oversized and hilariously lethal hornet(s). The area to search is just too large, and there aren't enough resources for such a search. And that's assuming the 4 foot long hornet is even above ground in an abandoned building somewhere. Considering how finicky and kind of fragile Armsmaster's tech is due to him cramming far too much functionality into everything, it's doubtful he has a large number of search drones. And Dragon basically has to be any search drone she wants to send out, so again there's no large swarm of drones. Plus as you mention, any such mass search is likely to fail due to the target deciding to evade it. And that's if the mass search effort is even in the right general area. Which "the docks" may well not be the right area. It's just the one main data point the E88 and Protectorate/PRT have. Other data points include near a library, no where near the docks.

It's like the Green Dragon Inn, named for young!JRR's green great dragon. (It's a great dragon that is green, not a green dragon that's great!)
