considering the battle you could just make so she live but not without serious injures and needs cybernetic parts afterwards.

also get the number of MS variants done to a manageable level and bring the capacity of the ships of MS up by a lot

Well Charlotte looking like Marida is noted in the story. Comparatively in GBF no one notices if a character looks like someone from Gundam ...

Setsuna sucks a little less against Ali in episode "Trans-Am", so he has more swords when said Trans-Am gets enabled and so kills the monster, while ranting about Gundam. Then, before flying off, tells Nena that a) they are even, b) she is indeed not at all the Gundam and just a little better that Ali. And he is not killing her because of more pressing concerns.
It means that Lockon lives. You may use Patrick to prevent death of Kati Mannequin and give the guy some epicness and meaningful fight.

Then? Butterflies, all of them.

Problem is that Ali knows the ins and outs of Setsuna's style because he taught him the style. That is why Ali pretty much trumped him despite the disadvantages Ali had.

To do that you have to have Setsuna literally throw out his own god damn playbook.

Due to Ali being unfamiliar with Throne, drive depletion from prolonged continuous operations, weapons usage and damage from Trans-Am, GN Tau Drive on Throne Zwei turns into a pumpkin in the end, leaving Ali dead in the air, perfectly explodable.

Happy now?

Yes, it takes off some possibility of Nena rethinking her life, but works in this situation.

That would be ok explanation. Even if he's a warmongering soldier, he wouldn't know the limits of his machine. So he'll try to be conservative of his machine's output but he overestimated that output and paid for it for his life.

Actually, I've got another solution. Veda. Since the damn computer can HOUSE sentient.... 'ghost' for a lack of a better term for the Innovado conscience, I'd say there's a good chance it's sentient itself. And most likely not happy with :
1- being hacked
2-having its creator shot

So, it uses what ressources it can to overcome the hacking, at least for a time, and shut down the Zwei OS for a few seconds. More than enough for Setsuna to kablooie the thing.

Alternatively, I recommend MSG: Deikun's Army. It kinda follow main One-Year War, until it stops.
Ghiren used Solar Ray Cannon to bluff Earth Federation into surrender. There are those who do not want him to rule. At all. It kinda causes White Base and Char to unite forces. But situation - and alliance of a few desperate ships - is not without it's own problems...

Also while trawling through mechatalk, I found a short fic written by the guy who did that Agressor fic; i'll have to look it up. Not quite up to his usual quality though.

I think i read the first chapter of the Warriors i. The Shadows rewrite... I think it was Fed tanks killing Titans MS? And sympathetic Titans Colonel Natalie something defecting or something.

...bah, if we beed more gundam fics, we need to write our own. :p (goes to try and turn Starnded Freighter into a coherent fic)

I presume you are using the same characters as in the RP?

Shame that it died. Fifty pages over a span of under two months is impressive for an RP.

Now I am just waiting for a Gundam 00 RP in the same vein.

Pretty much yeah, same characters. Will try and work it and make a coherent story. May have something out this week.
