Under the Open Sky (CWMGQ Spinoff)

I would suggest the Instant Manufacture because of the downtime oppertunities. We could finish off the tanks pretty quickly, and with what looks like the option to make obalisks it would give us a considerable amounts of merit.

That would be an interesting idea... but Panoply lv35 would eat up another 1,650 EXP.

If we go for that one, should we get one of the infantry killers or danmaku or something?
Actually, this is a good idea.

@ReaperofInterest how about adding Double Hit and Anti Infantry to the plan?
Those would cost 50 + 60 = 110 EXP together and allow for some pretty neat combination play.

Alright, I've corrected my math, and I've added Double-Hit, Anti-Infantry, Mark, and Flare Arrow to the purchasing list. Mark and Flare Arrow should probably be useful in the future, and we'll at least get them out of the way so that when we upgrade the Panoply to level 35 and 40, we'll be able to get the abilities unlocked by those levels.

[X] EXP Plan Upgrade
-[X] Upgrade Panoply to level 30 (1,100)
-[X] Upgrade Aegis Field to level 20 (540)
-[X] Purchase Formidable Defenses (210)
-[X] Purchase To Defy The Gods (700)
-[X] Upgrade Aegis Field to level 25 (1,100)
-[X] Purchase Formidable Defenses (540)
Total XP spent: 4,190
I was thinking something similar, but without going the second round of upgrades to Aegis Field and Formidable Defenses.

Something like this.

[X] EXP Plan Mixed Upgrades
-[X] Upgrade Panoply to level 30 (1,100)
-[X] Upgrade Aegis Field to level 20 (540)
-[X] Purchase Formidable Defenses (210)
-[X] Purchase Multi-Caster (60)
-[X] Upgrade Shifting to level 15 (840)
-[X] Upgrade Gating to level 15 (900)
-[X] Purchase Standing Wave (245)
Total EXP Spent: 3,895

That leaves 360 EXP remaining to grab To Defy The Gods ASAP afterwards, or 260 EXP if we also want to grab Danmaku (60 EXP) and Emulate Fire (40 EXP) right now.

In exchange for only having one tier of defensive upgrades, this grants us the ability to cast two spells in a single action and makes Wave Force a ranged attack that's hard to dodge.

Easy to cast + Grand Dispel + Long Range + Hard to Dodge + twice in the same action = Extremely Powerful Wave Force.

My logic for delaying grabbing To Defy The Gods over delaying grabbing Standing Wave is that after our latest stunt, it's probably going to be a few updates until we're probably going to be stuck handling ranged combat for a while, and being able to use Wave Force for that would be awesome.

Grand Dispel and Multi-Caster can't both work at the same time. No casting Wave Force twice in a row unless we can get a Double Cast modifier on the spell itself. Or I think we can cast it more than once that way anyway.

Well, I know that when Multi-Caster is an ability attached directly to a Spell, it means you can cast that specific spell twice in the same action, but each cast is a completely separate damage calculation.

So it would be like firing one Wave Force from each hand, with each cast aimed at a different target.

Double Cast makes the two casts be a single, combined damage calculation.

Omni-Caster is the one that lets multiple of your actions each turn be spells.

And even if Multi-Caster doesn't let us use Wave Force twice in the same action, it should let us hit someone with Wave Force and Ramming Speed simultaneously.

Can you replace Flare arrow with Danmaku? Danmaku's more likely to be useful in the coming battle than a level 1 damage spell. (Yes, it has homing, but we're getting that soon anyway.) Not sure what Mark is but it's probably a tracking, debuff, or some other utility function that could be useful.

I realize that a level 1 spell probably isn't going to be very useful, I'm getting it so we knock it off the list. Besides, we have enough abilities available, even discounting the ones we're purchasing here, that we don't really need Danmaku at the moment. Besides, odds are good we'll be able to afford it after next turn.

Like I've noted, we really need another Level or two of Protean to really start getting the funny combos on all our abilities. And the abilities themselves of course.

Keep in mind that I'm pretty sure that we can't stack Full Auto + Danmaku, even with Protean.

So Danmaku is basically an upgrade for everywhere that we'd normally use Full Auto (such as in this most recent update).

Huh, I just noticed something. @kelllogo, I noticed that we have yet to purchase Emulate Fire. Are we allowed to purchase Flare Arrow before we get Emulate Fire? Because if not, I'm probably going to replace Flare Arrow with Danmaku in my xp plan.

[X]Plan MOB RUSH!
-[X] It's a boring night.
--[X] Something's blasting the anti-air platforms to the north.
--[X] A huge rush of demons attacks all at once.
--[X] A Giant Fire Breathing Demon Crab approaches!

If I understand the wording right, this makes all of these battles happen at the same time.

We could have the one girl walk out after I suppose or something. I figure what they're using against us isn't being used elsewhere at least.

[X] EXP Plan Upgrade

Welp if we survive at least we get XP:

[X]Plan MOB RUSH!
[X] EXP Plan Upgrade

Edit: huh we might want heavy caliber for the crab, its not too expensive at least.

Ceaseless Warrior + Mooks + Danmaku/Anti-Infantry/Multi-Caster/etc. = Demon Commander: *Blink* "What happened? I blinked and a quarter of my army died all at once."

And for the big guy we have Wave Force.

This is the best combo we could get hit with, with probably a few nasty surprises mixed in granted, but we're not alone either.
