If we go for that one, should we get one of the infantry killers or danmaku or something?[X] A huge rush of demons attacks all at once.
I think two out of those options should still be good for us without compromising too much.
I would suggest the Instant Manufacture because of the downtime oppertunities. We could finish off the tanks pretty quickly, and with what looks like the option to make obalisks it would give us a considerable amounts of merit.
Actually, this is a good idea.If we go for that one, should we get one of the infantry killers or danmaku or something?
We really do need more levels in Protean, don't we.
No Multi-Caster?Alright, I've corrected my math, and I've added Double-Hit, Anti-Infantry, Mark, and Flare Arrow to the purchasing list. Mark and Flare Arrow should probably be useful in the future, and we'll at least get them out of the way so that when we upgrade the Panoply to level 35 and 40, we'll be able to get the abilities unlocked by those levels.
Oh good point, we have just enough XP to afford that as well. Alright, I'll add that to the list, but we really can't afford anything else after this. We only have 5 XP left after all.
I was thinking something similar, but without going the second round of upgrades to Aegis Field and Formidable Defenses.[X] EXP Plan Upgrade
-[X] Upgrade Panoply to level 30 (1,100)
-[X] Upgrade Aegis Field to level 20 (540)
-[X] Purchase Formidable Defenses (210)
-[X] Purchase To Defy The Gods (700)
-[X] Upgrade Aegis Field to level 25 (1,100)
-[X] Purchase Formidable Defenses (540)
Total XP spent: 4,190
Grand Dispel and Multi-Caster can't both work at the same time. No casting Wave Force twice in a row unless we can get a Double Cast modifier on the spell itself. Or I think we can cast it more than once that way anyway. In exchange for only having one tier of defensive upgrades, this grants us the ability to cast two spells in a single action and makes Wave Force a ranged attack that's hard to dodge.
Easy to cast + Grand Dispel + Long Range + Hard to Dodge + twice in the same action = Extremely Powerful Wave Force.
My logic for delaying grabbing To Defy The Gods over delaying grabbing Standing Wave is that after our latest stunt, it's probably going to be a few updates until we're probably going to be stuck handling ranged combat for a while, and being able to use Wave Force for that would be awesome.
Well, I know that when Multi-Caster is an ability attached directly to a Spell, it means you can cast that specific spell twice in the same action, but each cast is a completely separate damage calculation.Grand Dispel and Multi-Caster can't both work at the same time. No casting Wave Force twice in a row unless we can get a Double Cast modifier on the spell itself. Or I think we can cast it more than once that way anyway.
Can you replace Flare arrow with Danmaku? Danmaku's more likely to be useful in the coming battle than a level 1 damage spell. (Yes, it has homing, but we're getting that soon anyway.) Not sure what Mark is but it's probably a tracking, debuff, or some other utility function that could be useful.[X] EXP Plan Upgrade

I realize that a level 1 spell probably isn't going to be very useful, I'm getting it so we knock it off the list. Besides, we have enough abilities available, even discounting the ones we're purchasing here, that we don't really need Danmaku at the moment. Like I've noted, we really need another Level or two of Protean to really start getting the funny combos on all our abilities. And the abilities themselves of course.I realize that a level 1 spell probably isn't going to be very useful, I'm getting it so we knock it off the list. Heh, yeah. Hopefully we'll get enough XP to afford both Danmaku and a Protean level soon. We only need to earn 545 XP, after all, taking into account the amount of XP we'll have if Plan Upgrade wins.Like I've noted, we really need another Level or two of Protean to really start getting the funny combos on all our abilities. All of the development ladders except for the one filled with Slayer abilities need to be purchased in sequential order.Huh, I just noticed something. @kelllogo, I noticed that we have yet to purchase Emulate Fire. Are we allowed to purchase Flare Arrow before we get Emulate Fire? Because if not, I'm probably going to replace Flare Arrow with Danmaku in my xp plan.
Ceaseless Warrior + Mooks + Danmaku/Anti-Infantry/Multi-Caster/etc. = Demon Commander: *Blink* "What happened? I blinked and a quarter of my army died all at once."
