So does anyone else think that BoatShrieks is a fallen Dorf fortress? Because that name is too similar to BoatMurdered for me to not think that.
Everyone I should hope.

For one thing it's how the Zombie Zpiders showed up. And assuming I remember what I've been writing (a dangerous assumption) , the abandonment of the Hero's Overlook section was because that fortress had a whole bunch of nasties waiting to hop out. This made them reel back, which let the garrison have enough breathing room to send out some girls for R&R.

Care to guess how strong BoatShrieks was at it's height?

@Fuse: Summit may still Fuse items for XP, but she can also non-destructively examine things or phenomena.
 
Voting seems fairly clear.

Summit will be attempting to facilitate a sneak attack via a portable HumanTech dimensional waypoint. This will entail hauling a bunch of equipment through a 'light horde' of demons, as well as escorting a couple of technicians with the relevant codes committed to memory.

Wow I completely forgot about this quest entirely until the vote lock. So question people voted for what seemed to me to be a classic escort mission. So why did we not take the two most useful upgrades for the situation.

Edit: missed that the other one was a Super Ability and those get priority and now to bed.

edit: Also missed the Auto leveling to 21 which is way better then one more extra attack.

because with 10+ attacks a turn we don't need to intercept because everything will already be dead, and we are likely going to get at least that high because demons are not smart enough to catch onto "oh god hitting her just makes her angry." before at least that point.

There's going to be an option to select tactics and spend EXP before the escort mission proper starts.

I would also like to mention a rules change: Summit must have Intercept selected as a Panoply Ability to Intercept attacks. It isn't an innate part of her kit anymore. This should bring UtOS closer to the moving target of CMGQ rules.

I expect the bulk of next update to be watching other MGs scythe down demons until you start feeling sorry for demons (or not, depending on if you've read Katie's intro). Deo Volente it will be shorter...

As for the mission, at least we'll be getting some backup in the form of two other teams of MGs. Since on of the teams us explicitly described as a support team, and the other is Team Atlantis, I think we'll be able to handle this mission without the techies getting killed.

The APT boost got spoiled a while back. That's why I've really wanted the Super Ability.

Non-canon Omake - Insight Sees Summit After Milidia is Secured
This sort of explosive growth and propensity to land in increasing amounts of trouble that she somehow survives is something Commander Black has heard about before.

In Summit's case Insight would notice that Summit has just recently been able to start absorbing new things to fuel her growth. With the massive pile of EXP sunk into foundational skills she'd understand how Summit could 'suddenly' start getting all the things. Insight would probably call the trouble "Solid Core Syndrome'.

Said trouble is really "Quest Syndrome". Black is hoping he can milk the attendant improbable success to close the gate for reasons that may be explained later. Do note that lots of examples end with "Red Rose/Goddess Grey killed them before they could get Overwhelming Presence".
