Under the Open Sky (CWMGQ Spinoff)

Bear in mind that Big Ugly is currently occupying the spot you'd stand on to Wave Force to get the Teleport Homer.

anything that walks will get crushed by the supervisor/swarmed by spiders, so the mg team is out. that leaves the war angels, the hover drones, or the fairies. The angels would have to close to melee and don't have the damage to quickly dispatch the spiders so they would just get swarmed. so it's either the drones or the fairies.

I'm leaning towards the fairies, they can probably out damage the drones and a rain of magical death sounds exactly like what we need right now.

The thread showed approximately zero interest in saving her

Because the thread didn't think it was possible. If something says death would be a mercy it usually means that they can't be saved. If you wanted us to save her you would first have to let us know that she could be saved.

Like have Summit notice with something other then invisa-text hidden from the character and go that's a person how do I save them.
Then if the thread goes not going to try you can talk about how we threw her aside without trying. Right now she was basically a worse version of candy heart.

[] buy Flawless Interruption 210 XP
[] Inform control of what just happened and state that you are going to attempt to bring down the jammer to get reinforcements.
[][Backup] Angel Laurence's Flight.
War Angels Laurence, Tabitha, Shamed, and Abaddon arrive with haste spells active.
[] Use the confusion to launch a wave force at the jammer and then teleport away opening the way for your reinforcements
[] Teleport to and blast the still active hell beasts

Angels have aura effects and can fly, The drones are what I wanted to get but there two small to be worth anything. Finish off the hell beasts because right now we can't really hurt the boss or other spiders

Hmm...War Angels to breach so we have the space to Wave Force?

I think they would have the lowest damage of all our options. with double hit and their buff spell they swing they put out 2 4000 damage hits a turn, and do not count as large. fairy battle mages swing on the low end around 20,000 damage a turn. Their ability to turn squishy demons to ash with their presence isn't useful since the swarm of foot soldiers are all dead, everything left has too much reliance to care about a hit of 500 a turn.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I gave hints by giving the spear odd Affinities and confirmed it with invisa-text. No one asked further about Iron Age and nothing was mentioned about trying to get hold of her to check. I concluded that no one was interested.

:V And besides, the first thing she would do is ask you to kill her.

I'll add a quick rundown of what all the reinforcements offer.

Laurence's group is elite War Angels and hit a fair bit harder than the standard ones even before the doubled speed and Attacks Per Turn comes into play. When combined their Presences heal/damage for 2,500 per turn, which is an effect that ignores Resilience and most Abilities. Laurence has a powerful stacking damage bonus and Abbadon is a caster with some Ruin Affinity spells to deal lots of damage.

Sakura Saber can (sort-of) Teleport and benefits from Zeal of Light. She's quite capable of doing the whole head-slicing thing to several Hell Beasts a round and ducking to and from attacking range of the big critter. There's also the nebulous possibility of Synch spells with Sumire. They are both supremely skilled Magical Girls and you can rely on them to rapidly respond to changing situations.

The drones only have 750 Health and 500 Resilience, but can fly at 50 mph and have a freakin' laser cannon that hits for 1,500 damage with Armor Pierce. They also get +50% from Commander Black's Ability on top of their Synchronized attack bonus. Even if you lose a few it's still a lot of power to swing around. And you can always claim the combat data is worth more than the destroyed hardware :V.

A Fairy squad is far and away the biggest stick, but is vulnerable for a little bit as they get their bearings. ~50,000 spell damage a turn should clear things up quickly, but they are potentially vulnerable to most of the things on the field.

I thought that Spear = Iron Age was too obvious to mention. I also thought that saving her was impossible.

"Zael! What are you doing! You only have one…." it stops and looks around.

For the moment it doesn't seem to have noticed you. Something you expect will change as soon as it decides to look up.

"Oh, you're dead. WHY ARE YOU DEAD!"
I almost died right here XD

[X][Backup] Angel Laurence's Flight.
War Angels Laurence, Tabitha, Shamed, and Abaddon arrive with haste spells active.

A Flight of War Angels is nothing to snease at. And with how many spiders are now running around in circles, their combined 2k damage a turn will help a lot. And that's if their Presence of Light isn't higher than level 5, which is likely considering how Laurence was able to keep up with a Magical Girl of Sumire Saber's ability. That, and the healing would help Summit stay in the fight.

[X] Plan Crystalwatcher's Murder Machine
-Abuse the fact we can Wave Force with impunity. Start nuking everything.
--Keep in the air out of melee-rape range. Make sure not to get stunned and knocked out of the sky by the fucking spiders. And the boss' spit of inferiority.
---When Laurence get's his happy ass into the fight, focus on keeping the spiders off them as they focus on mauling the Boss into submission.
----Buff them with everything we've got, and add start nuking the Boss after the all spiders are dead and openings present themselves.

Same. Also, what invisitext?
I'm on mobile here.
[X] crystalwatcher

The only invisitext was the name Magical Girl Iron Age and +5000 Resilience death would be a mercy.

An other hidden evidence was in the same update where the magical girl died.

The thread noticed this and reacted to it but given the very name death would be a mercy, and the fact that in the last update he didn't use the Spear to soak any damage. Well we assumed that she was nightmare fuel that was impossible to save.
Given that we were actively trying to kill him and didn't know about the intercept he didn't use when hit by artillery she was doomed at the start even if we tried to come up with a plan to save her.

I'm not actually sure if this is viable. Kelllogo has stated before that currently Wave Force is a very short range spell, which means that spamming it everywhere requires actually getting really close to everything.

Additionally, look at this piece of info from the explanation of why our teleportation isn't working.
and the 'fuel' Summit uses was mostly used up when she cast Wave Force.
This makes me unsure whether it's even physically possible for us to spam Wave Force.

Usually not, but Summit is benefiting from Commander Black's Super Ability at the moment. So if you want to kick reason to the curb and do the impossible while you have the drop on this guy now is the time.
Ahh. Issue I was concerned about was Wave Force being too exhausting to do that, that even casting it once per turn every turn wouldn't be possible for more than a few turns.

huh, in that case we could probably kill the big guy with a few wave force spells.
Given how many unknown abilities it has, I doubt it will be that easy.

On the plus side though, the fact that Wave Force has Scale To Target means that the 50% damage reduction from smaller attackers is irrelevant.

@crystalwatcher
If spamming Wave Force everywhere, shouldn't the plan specify to switch to Spell Boost + Collateral Damage?

Huh? I'm pretty sure I remember Crystal saying that Scale to Target of Juggernaut Drive's spell can say Fuck You to the 99% reduction of Indestructible Core.

Does this not work the same way?
I don't remember that, but Scale To Target is defined in the ability list as:
Allows the Damage of a weapon/spell to use multiples of the Target's HP as it's damage counter.
nothing about negating damage reduction, just that things with S2T can use "target's health" and suchlike as valid damage values.

If it does, I'm pretty sure it's because of how horrifyingly lethal it is. That is, it is so powerful that it is capable of blowing straight on through Nep's HP pool through the sheer damage potential. Rather than negating Indestructible Core's reduction.

Might be remembering the details about this stuff wrong. I know that Juggernaut's spell has Unstoppable, Scale to Target, and Overwhelm.

........Also, I just noticed that an infodump mentioned that Goddess Gray managed to deflect that spell. Does that mean that she has a way to use Unmatched Skill against Spells :o
