Again, warping space. It's hard to dodge a homing Bullet because it will swerve to hit you anyway even if you get out of its way. But if your dodge is "suddenly I am 50 meters away from my previous position, good luck correcting for that" even the fastest homing Bullet will have a hard time hitting the target.

Well, yes. Summit can dodge. The interruption cuts both ways and, in my opinion, leaves Anna worse off since any nearby spot you dodge to can be tracked and attacked before her emergency teleport comes off of cooldown. Unless she's got 20+ stacks of Ceaseless to enter turbo mode or something.
Trying to dodge without teleporting (and thus keeping your own combo/threat going) is just going to get you smacked anyway. Point to point within her line of sight at crazy-high speed.
And to answer the question you haven't asked yet. Quell can dispell her buff, if only it has an MM roll of 12,500 or above (so... no).
... I'll say that first reading, casual like, of the nightmares Parthian shot on Summit gave the impression of some sort of event horizon effect.
Ie: Once it fires and aquires you as a target, reality turns at right angles to time so the only way not to get hit (and OHK) is in the past, getting hit is in the future and doing anything would take you closer to the hit including doing nothing. Maybe I just got black holes on my mind.
But sinve Summit ain't got time to get OHK so easily, so she soldiered through it for long enough for Goddess Bullshit to pull her out and the nightmare wasn't around to counter and make it stick.
Sadly we have so many people voting with my name so I cannot just make an EXP plan like this:
[] EXP Plan Every Spell Has Its Day (590 EXP)
-[] Upgrade Guardian Touch from 1 to 5 (100 EXP)
-[] Upgrade Quell from 1 to 5 (100 EXP)
-[] Upgrade Aggressive Absorption from 9 to 10 (90 EXP)
-[] Upgrade Mana Bolts from 1 to 5 (100 EXP)
-[] Upgrade Mark from 1 to 5 (100 EXP)
-[] Upgrade Flare Arrow from 1 to 5 (100 EXP)

Not far off from what I was thinking. It's closer to drawing you into a space where non-nightmare life is impossible, or drawing wounded space over you, if you prefer. This alone does a big chunk of 'damage' to your 'stay alive' stat, but can crawl under your skin and just make your soul fall off with other effects.
You're spot on about the nightmare booking it. It only has 65 million HP or so. Doesn't want anything to get a clean shot at it.
On a (mostly) unrelated note, I'd like some clarifications on how Laser, Spell Boost and Multi Caster will interact.
Specifically, the idea of charging Laser on the weapon with normal actions (to deal with a champion or something) while using spells to actually keep the lesser opponents back. Would that work?
Also... Fffff... Does Laser work with our spells? Does it work with Wave Force??? And, in general, does charging a spell up use only casting actions, or would any actions do?

I know Anna is about having options, but she's so dangerous because she can mix and match her options to kidney punch shank whoever she's fighting. These spells are the equivalent of leveling one ability basically. Except not really and worse because we only have one casting action per turn. Period.
Guardian Touch is good, Quell is situationally useful, Aggressive Absorption is downright nasty, Mark is situationally useful as well, Mana Bolts and Flare Arrow are all but downright useless.
GT and AA? Sure, put them in. You want to make a good argument for Quell and Mark? Let's see. Throw out the last two though, we have better things we can spend our XP on.
Paragon, Abomination, and Super Slayer are all still waiting in the wings.

Double Tap and Multi-shot work with Wave Force as long as you use the slow casting option. Nearly any other Ability is going to treat it as a 10 base-damage-per-level spell with Unstoppable.
It's tricky for Summit to get the scaling effect.
With Laser spells you cast the spell and can then spend normal actions to charge it before unleashing it. Same thing with Ray, normal actions to keep it going (with some headaches based on spell nature).
Having a Laser charge stored will prevent casting most spells, unless you're willing to expend the saved charges for basically nothing.
If you're charging a spell with Laser you can't cast any other spells until you fire off the current one.
So Summit cannot hold Laser with Panoply and cast spells at the same time. Can she hold the spell with Laser and still attack with Panoply, without wasting charges?

Right. After literal years of staring into the obvious I finally asked the right question about the right ability, on discord. See, there is something about Peerless Explorer- it, and I quote, "Allows improving assimilated Abilities."
For simplification, Panoply Abilities can be upgraded, with some caveats. To quote kelll:
kelllogo on Discord said:
No on Unstoppable, but otherwise yes. Just has to meditate on it and practice for a time (plus some EXP).
One of the holes Summit has for Abilities is being able to outright bypass things. Punch-Through, Unstoppable, and Vorpal all do this to one degree or another. As does Sunder.
The list of upgrades asked about and not shot down says that Summit can:
1) work on her Shred and evolve it to Disintegrate,
2) or work on her Rend and evolve it to Murder,
3) or work on her Burn and evolve it to Melt,
4) or work on Multi Shot and evolve it to Bullet Hell,
5) or work on her Intercept and make it Overwhelm.
6) or work to gain Mana Pierce though it would be tricky.
We can surmise getting Blitz and Full Combo is also possible by evolving Rain of Blows, though by the time we get them we are probably going to have access to SuperSlayer already.
That's actually what the last option in the vote list is about.
Expect me to get Bullet Hell (+40% ranged damage) as a first option, only maybe losing out to Mana Pierce.
On a different note, Millidia has been good for Summit's growth. If we compare Summit before Millidia to Summit after Millidia we will see:
1) Health quadrupled, from 4220 to 18000;
2) Effective Health improved by an order of magnitude, from 8440 to 90000;
3) Base Damage improved by a factor of 1.5, from 1040 to 1600;
4) Effective Damage improved by a factor of at least 20 for both Ranged attacks and Melee attacks, not counting Laser or Slayer effects, from 2300-ish (Full Auto) and 4000-ish (Crush) to 54000-ish (Rain of Light, Multi Shot) and 90000-ish (Smash, Slash Hell) respectively.
5) Resilience has improved from 680+(15% Incoming) to 1500+(25% incoming). Comparatively modest even if it now no-sells Hell Beasts outright.
6) Summit also gained plenty of other bells and whistles. In fact this is a bigger boost overall than Summit somehow getting Core Connection prior to Millidia.
And all that it took was several nearly hopeless battles against - StarLancer and the duo of Castor and Pollux; Massy, Lunatic Psyker and Herokiller Mica; the Headhunters; Val-Kroppi; Oversoul Priad; Juggernaut Drive, twice; Goddess Red and her minions; and Goddess Grey.
That's like nine separate battles where we mostly had to be bailed out by our allies. Of the listed situations, only one was truly resolved by solo Summit (the Headhunters). Grey had to be talked down but was a hopeless boss fight otherwise, and we missed the opportunity to sucker punch Juggernaut Drive in the first encounter.
My internet is acting up, so it may be some time before the long awaited rematch happens.

[X] Persuade Gabriel to practice against you in a spar. Something to hone your skills and hers…
-[X] Ask permission to examine (Inspect) her new armor and sword after the battle, you are curious. Especially about the blade.
[X] There's some Elven VIPs hanging around another plaza. See if they can help you figure out some of your Abilities that defend others.
-[X] Also work on figuring out how your new ability to modify spells works with Guardian Touch. Test Adamantine and Collateral Damage (AOE), but be careful to not harm people.
[X] You have another idea for borrowing strength. The three Drives have Abilities that flow between them and Judgement Drive has a high control over her magic. Ask them to help you by storing some of their power that you can absorb later in a pinch.
So. Let's discuss the future advancements, mostly the ones related to narrative training of Summit's abilities. I am not talking about stuff mostly given by experience spending.
Section 1. Panoply Abilities
Below is a list of abilities I think we can get for Summit by upgrading assimilated Abilities.
Bullet Hell (two more offensive strings in ranged combat, effectively +66% total damage) Overwhelm (intercept gives +75% enemy Base Damage as a bonus, stacks with Slash Hell and Smash for a +3375% rebound, and also with Hit By Level on Aggressive Absorption) Apocalypse (ridiculously large AOE, for meme purposes, killing swarms, and spell boosting, mostly) Mana Pierce (ignores magic modifier and defense buffs when attacking enemy, really messes with people who rely on those) Melt and Incinerate (3-to-9% and 5-to-15% of enemy health in damage over time, and body damage modifiers to targets aka extra damage) Murder and Slaughter (pure damage over time on target, now without needing to go through their defensive string like Rend) Disintegrate and Erase (doubles/triples the effectiveness of Shred reducing resilience, may cost loot or may automatically fuse it instead) Consume (+50% effectiveness of Vampire, largerly unnecessary at the damage and Health values Summit has)
Section 2. Personal Abilities.
Below is a list of personal abilities I think Summit can properly upgrade with training.
Masterful Dodge (after purchasing Cold Considerations and putting some more training into it) Inhuman Skill (after purchasing Cold Considerations and putting some more training into it)
Section 3. Spell Development
Below is the list of spells and spell upgrades listed in the first post
Guardian Touch (5 actions) - gain Damage Reflect, lose stat boost
---mostly solid but takes quite a bit to develop
Dimensional Jaunt (1 action) - gain new spell
---I believe this be a formalized and faster version of what we can already to with Gating.
Corrosion Pulse (1 action) - gain a new spell
--- the effects of this I am unsure of.
Victor's Rites (3 actions) - gain a new spell
---said to raise the enemies Summit has recently killed from the grave to fight for her. Necromancy more or less.
Beyond the Limits (2 actions) - gain a new spell
---said to be a short term buff. But again, with net x45 multiplier on melee attacks even a minor boost will have a strong impact.
Section Final. What do you want?
Of these options, which ones do you want more? Post your first five picks, in no particular order.
Bullet Hell, Overwhelm, Masterful Dodge, Mana Pierce, and Beyond the Limits are mine.
Huh, spell development actions only need a couple of hours? I wouldn't mind asking for a day off and spending time to get the lot if we could.
Still, if made to choose, I'd like Corrosion pulse and beyond the limits. The first cause I'd like to see what it does in this setting, and the second cause it sounds like a cool super move.
Bullet Hell, Overwhelm, Mana Pierce, Murder and Slaughter, Disintegrate and Erase, Consume, Masterful Dodge, Inhuman Skill
tbh I want all of these, but some are more useful than others, yes. Consume and Mana Pierce fall under the category of not used a lot of the time, but when we need them we'll really need them. Upgrading to Murder seems like a higher priority idea because being able to bypass defensive string automatically makes it far more applicable... Erase and company might be a bit less important really. Dodge and Skill and never not useful, especially with our action economy when we get going.
Overwhelm and Bullet Hell are mainly about just doing more raw damage, but Overwhelm also has an auto-win on Intercepts I think? Or it Cleaves enemy weapons? I don't remember. Either way being able to more effectively smash our way through intercepts is both broadly applicable and very useful.
Not to sure how to cut down more though.
It strikes me that Erase on its own will likely destroy loot, but if used in combination with Aggresive Absorption might instead eat things.
Oh yeah, important note for those who aren't on Discord.
The Ordnance and Heavy Caliber abilities (both of which Summit has) were recently given a very large buff so that they more correctly fill their intended role as the special thing ranged attacks get since only melee gets Crush/Smash.
Ordnance is the same as before, except now it's a X2 multiplier instead of a +40% increase and halves the effectiveness of size based defenses like Large Enemy.
Heavy Caliber is now an upgrade of Ordnance that has the same "don't move" caveat (and the same greatly increased range perk), but gives a huge X6 multiplier (more than Crush but less than Smash) in addition to its old effect of completely ignoring size based defenses.
When asked about Summit's "default weapon loadout", Kelllogo has said hers are (shortly prior to the rework) Ordnance, Ray, Smash, Collateral Damage and Priority Boost. You can probably replace Ordnance with HC in that list.
Re: training stuff
Bullet Hell 3
Overwhelm 2 Dodge 3
Mana Pierce 2 Beyond the Limits 3
Corrosion Pulse 2
Victor's Rites 1
Murder, Disintegrate, Consume and Skill - 1
Please continue sharing your opinion, it is valuable to us.
To be clear, there isn't a loss of apparent humanity besides the whole realization that she's a magical T-1000 now. All humanity functions are kept in working order. Unless you nom a Gehaburn or something...
Random foreshadowing from the past we avoided successfully. Related to getting Abomination and we avoided it by not nomming Gehaburn. Look for invisitext.

In my defense, Summit is the superlative scout. She can rush ahead, spot magical forces very quickly, is tough enough to weather blows, and can rush back with info in a heartbeat. There was no reason not to call in help for Herokiller Mica or Val-Kroppi. Summit was less bailed out than participating in a group effort.
First Starlancer encounter was mean, but I recall that there were tricky ways to beat Oversoul Priad and the first Juggernaut encounter. (In fact, Headhunters had a tricky way. A dead simple tricky way that still had a bit of panic involved until someone pointed out how to sink Re-class...)
