[X] Plan Prepare for Trouble
-[X] When in Rime
-[X] Cortondo Cart
I see no harm in voting for the better plan name.
(and I don't hate them except Tinkatink because our family heirloom is not a item to give to a pokemon we got because we fangirled over it at a festival.)
That's a (for the most part) mischaracterisation of why the Tinkatink fans want to give them the knife.
It is true I wasn't as inclined towards Tinkatink before that, but that was because I had no idea they could have weapons other than a hammer in this AU. I do also think it'd be neat if Mariana did become a knight, but there's enough potential issues with that (even just counting the time commitment it'd require) that I'd be perfectly happy with just the Tinka-mon.
The dagger itself seems like it'd give a buff to Steel/Flying type Pokémon and moves. Tinkatink literally makes their weapon out of scrap Steel from other Pokémon, so I shouldn't need to explain why a lot of people jumped to the idea of giving one our dagger. Steel type aside, I and some others think the Flying type would also be useful if the Dragoon idea can actually payoff, where instead of using a hammer to smack things at enemy fliers they build a spear and yeet themselves. Which would be useful against Sunny the flight-capable Monferno but also any other flying Pokémon in keeping with the Tinkatink lines theming.
Typing aside they're also just cool, both in design and in their gremlin energy (see: their complete refusal to allow Corviknights to exist within their airspace).
Even if we got a Tinkatink, I wouldn't want to give it the knife.
That's just Skarmory metal. If we're aiming to catch the sun we should search for better.
We're not exactly swimming in Pokémon material? If we'd voted for the Pokémon caring club we might've had more choice, but even then I'm struggling to think of something better for a Pokémon like Tinkatink. A fourth badge level material is pretty damn good, even setting aside the near perfect match for typing.
