In the world of Pokemon, there are people and institutions whose preeminence in their fields of expertise grant them worldwide fame and notoriety. The late Samuel Oak was the Pokemon Professor for his contributions to the field of Pokemon Research and his brainchild, the Pokedex. Red Isamu is the Pokemon Trainer for his meteoric rise as a youth a scant 26 years ago and for his victory in The First Pokemon World Tournament a little over a decade ago. Closer to home, Mesagoza Academy is the Pokemon Academy, the foremost learning institution for Pokemon raising, training and battling—or so Paldea and her allies claim.
As a proud citizen of the mighty Paldean Empire, you have been fortunately blessed with the opportunity to attend Mesagoza Academy. Now it is up to you to live up to and abide by the motto of that Ancient and August institution:
"Arise, O youth, and become the foundation of the world."
-[X] Ostia and Argy: They seem to be doing better now than when you last saw them during your first day together. They're inviting you to go out and eat with them in Mesagoza. They seem really enthusiastic about all the restaurants and eateries in the city. Their treat of course. Next to them Argy stares at you like they always do. Improve Bond with Ostia and Argy. 0/3 to Bond 2
-[X] Erika: She has cordially invited you to join her in perusing the older sections of the Academy's libraries with her. She seems interested in myths, histories and legends from around the period of the Paldean Dark Ages. She even managed to find a couple manuscripts written in Old Andosin. Any reason to practice your Andosin is a good reason in your eyes. Improve Bond with Erika. 0/3 to Bond 2
-[X] The World in a City (1/10): Mesagoza is huge. Obscenely so. It's so massive and sprawling that you could spend days traveling through every inch of it and still miss some nooks and crannies. But you're going to be spending the better part of three years in this city. Maybe even more in the future. Better get wandering. -1 AP (2 Times)
-[X] To Train Them is Your Cause: While live battle is useful in sharpening moves, nothing beats good old practice. Experimentation, Building Muscle Memory or just plain old Mastery. At this stage early on it's still safe to use the Training Fields of the Academy. But as you get stronger you'll have to look for more isolated places. You can't let people find out what you're cooking after. That and something about collateral damage from moves getting worse. -1 AP
-[X] You Can't Run from a Trainer Battle: The battling Arenas at Rodrigo Hall are both numerous and massive. Since it's still early in the school year, the gap between the various students in the same year isn't quite big yet. Get your and your Pokemon's blood pumping with a good battle. -1 AP
-[X] You Can't Run from a Battle Between Trainers: Apparently the school has a dueling arena. Not for Pokemon but for Humans. Where the students can pick up wooden spears and sticks to beat each other over with. You might be simplifying things but it'll be a way to keep yourself fit and sharp. -1 AP
-[X] Advanced BATTLE: A Pokemon Journey is a multi year long process. Most Trainers get one badge and then struggle for years getting a second. Half of all Paldean Trainers quit around the third Gym. Only a tenth make it to the seventh Gym. There are no shortages of Trainers with only one Badge hanging around in Mesagoza. Many of them go to Battle Arenas in Mesagoza proper to prepare themselves for the League Circuit opening up in August. You can challenge them, you're absolutely going to lose but there's no better way to reveal your weakness than having them ruthlessly exploited. -1 AP
