Winner: Go look around for Jubilee
Number of Votes: 7
OOC: Weird sort of almost-tie on this one, but I think 'going to look for Jubilee' regardless of the nitty-gritty won out by a wide margin, so we'll go with that one. I don't normally talk about die rolls in the OOC text, but should I start inserting them? You didn't 'find' Jubilee thanks in part to a bad Awareness check. I bring it up this time because I don't want you guys to feel like you chose poorly; just that the dice were super not on your side for this one. :/
"I'm going to see if I can't find Jubilee," you announce. Everyone else takes a quick look around, apparently not having realized she wasn't nearby, even Mr. Cage.
"Shit, she never did show, did she?" he asks, rhetorically. You shake your head.
"Well... hey," Quentin offers, "I could go with you. Maybe we could spread out and find her faster."
You shake your head and hold up a forestalling hand from any further aid. "I think I'll be fine on my own, thank you. I'm sure she's safe, but... I worry, and she hasn't checked in for a bit. You know Jubilee; always on her personal phone. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm worried over nothing."
Quentin watches you for a long moment and nods. "OK. If you say so, I have faith in you." He turns and walks out of the pawn shop over all the debris and broken glass, "call me if you need me."
Alaris follows, and you take the back way out. You're not sure entirely where you might find Jubilee, but you remember the street she was set to patrol and start by heading off in that direction. You're really not sure how she patrols... does she stay up high? Stick to the alleys and side streets? Is she just walking up and down the main thoroughfare with her head on a swivel? Hell, how long was she even on her patrol street? Do you have the right patrol street? Was this the one she was on last time? Or was that Kitty? Up and down the road you trot, peeking your head into the windows and open doors of the late-night storefronts and standing on tiptoes to try and see her amidst crowds of people. It's about an hour of dedicated searching later before you feel your pocket buzz insistently. You take out your work phone and notice Jubilee has pinged you back.
Jubilee
I'm fine. Sorry.

Caught up with some friends, got to talking.
Jubilee
Heading back to the dorm now.
... a lot of you is frustrated. Very frustrated. First of all that she ditched patrol to chat with friends. Second that she waited so long to tell you... granted, patrol would usually only just be wrapping up by now, but somehow that sort of makes it worse! She has a work phone for a reason! She should be checking it! And using it! But then... you want to give her the benefit of the doubt. It's only her third time out on patrol, and not everyone is going to take to it as well as you and your friends have. Still, this isn't something she needs to be making a habit of. If she's having a hard time patrolling, someone needs to talk her through it. Preferably Mr. Cage, and in the mood you're in you're not super happy he didn't notice Jubilee was absent from the fight in the first place. But getting irksome with authority is far more Quentin's inclination, so you tamp down that particular fire and make your way to the dorm yourself.
Everyone is either still out or asleep by the time you arrive, so you simply slump off to your room and call it a night. You finished your homework before patrol, so the next two days are entirely open to you. There's a lot that's been on your mind lately, not the least of which is Jubilee and her attitude toward heroism. If she doesn't want to participate so much, why is she even here? This brings your thoughts to another grump who's only recently slid to the back of your mind; America Chavez. You never did figure out what her deal was. The Gwens said she was just like that; kind of a standoffish person, but... that can't be the only reason, can it? Maybe it's too presumptuous and meddlesome to try and help her figure it out, but has anyone ever tried to help? Speaking of help, you wonder how Elvin is doing, as well. He didn't seem wrapped up in Murderworld when he was talking to John during your visit, but you don't see him day-to-day like you did before. What was it about that game that made you so nervous, anyhow? Ruminating on the past, your mind wanders over Roxy, and the fact that Herman Schultz apparently knew her dad? You miss Roxy, but is it appropriate to come to her asking about her parentage? Of course, there's also the question of Spider-man and his new black suit. He said he'd text you later about it. He never did. That makes sense; he's kind of been working a big job with Harry Osborn since you last saw him... but you're also concerned he might be avoiding talking about the suit. Rocket didn't seem to trust it, and Killer Thrill was sent to hunt it down for some... collector? You're pretty sure that's what you pieced together. It's been a while and a lot has happened since then. Honestly, maybe you should just relax this weekend and get your mind off of things. Visit with a friend, or maybe take some time to explore your options for romance.
