Ayo what the fuck.
Still, I noticed that a Runesmith needs to have a certain state of mind to properly engrave certain runes. Canon, or just quest?
Implied canon. Common in quests, including Rhunrikki i think.

Garek lost his eye when he had to forge a rune filled by hatred and a need for vengeance, but he let his sorrow and sadness leak into the project, and the rune blew up in his face.

Ah, I mean as in, is it WHF canon, or just a quest canon?

Speaking of which, does the Master Rune of Soulshredding actually permakill daemons if they cast magic on us?

Though I guess there's a reason for the Rule of Pride now, considering how some of the Runes work.
Well, Garek said that it takes a chunk of the soul, reduces it to raw magical essence, and then this energy powers a healing rune. So it is all filtered.

Dang. If Garek manages to reverse engineer the runestaff, we should have him try to figure out how Kragg did that rune light bolts thing.

@Mayto: did the rune take effect late (i.e after Bokri got squished) because it was inactive, or is that the intended function?

The rune of spelleating is normally a dispelling rune. Does this ring, now that it's active, counter incoming magic?

Because if it only heals after the spell takes effect, we might want to invest in some damage prevention, rather than Kragg's "revenge and cure".

Bokri is fine now, but the Durazstrollar got crushed.

What the story showed.

You got crushed, then the rune struck out and healed you.
