Still, next time we probably should spend an Intrigue action to soften them up if practical. This battle would have a lot fewer casualties if those doom divers had been sabotaged, the shaman killed, or both.
On the other hand if we had rolled that 1 for the intrigue action we could have lost the Ordo Ok Ansger or both. The action was literally a coin flip before bonuses ad failures for intrigue can be nasty because there is no fallback. Like it says in the description, those dwarfs are not warriors, they are killers.

This is warhammer, it does not matter if you are Kairos Fateweaver or a Slann lord, no one can guarantee staying out of melee.

Well done on getting the tone across, @Mayto - the constant grind of campaigning against enemies that just don't care about attrition being a major part of why the Karaz Ankor's in such decline is a thing I'm definitely taking for the future.

Anyway jokes aside it would be nice to get an option to send ansgar's boys to find numbacrumcher and 🏹handle🏹 him before he pulls more orcs together. Also selgra looks like a fan of the lever action crossbow, no clue what production costs are like but expanding that out to our basic troops would be a serious increase in killing power

I mean, Kragg did legit pay off that grudge. We got a Reckoner and everything. Without even knowing what it did, it's a pretty safe bet that anything made by Kragg the Grim is ample compensation for an heirloom axe that, so far as I recall, isn't even runic at all.
That was the kind of grudge that could plausibly be paid off with mere gold (albeit a shitload of it). Let alone something like this.
Yes, but Kragg is such a giant spiteful asshole that he is even more bullshit than those rolls.
Longbeards are even better at shaming other longbeards than beardlings are.
