[X] Plan: All In

Aren't we going to earth to meet people after this?

I like the honesty part and the sticking to our beliefs but...

We're gonna die.
This is still Kesar we're talking about. Mort left because he wants a civil war, and this will help. We leave, go to Terra, and presumably say "My captains voted 6-5 on this. I apologize, but I'm seceding. Also, here's copies of the new STC templates I've found to make everyone's lives better. After this meeting I'm going back to true-killing daemons. Call us if you need expert assistance with that."

At which point everyone listening nods their heads because as far as our legion is concerned, little has changed. Or their eyes twitch because of course that's what we'd do. ('Dammit Kesar, stop being reasonable!') And then people familiar with us start panicking when they realize there's no longer anyone who can order the legion to not invade the Eye.

Horus and BjgE would resign to the fact that either sides of the civil war can't drag Eternal Warden to their side unless they invest enough forces to dragged them kicking and screaming from whatever Apocalytic battlefield they decided to go fight on.

I originally wasn't going to vote. But after thinking more about it, I'm now very sure that if we both sacrifice our secrecy and publicize our decision such that it seems to be in line with Mortarion, we will suffer horrendous consequences.

Why not? I'll vote because OpSec might be important here. Granted, I'm good with anything.

The current vote as it stands. They are very evenly matched.

In regards to most recent news and regards to loyalists/rebels,

9a. how many wardens would leave the legion if they knew we were seceding
9a. You will see if the open truth wins, but otherwise, probably 5-20%. You're not sure how much.

To explain this further, Daemon rolled to see how well Morty's legion responded. Out of the 50,000 members of the Death Guard, 12,000 declared loyalty to the greater Imperium. Please note that this isn't necessarily toward the Emperor (although some are loyal to him). So that was 24% of the entire Death Guard legion. Most of Morty's Tech Marines and human blanks left with the loyalists. The Emperor has ordered an embargo of Mortarion's domain in light of this event, which is making things worse inside the former Desolation regions. Independent worlds are getting the same treatment. It should be noted there are plenty of worlds that remained loyal, but only for two reasons: "I don't want to die" and "I like Mortarion way less." So, none of them are actually truly loyal.

In short, He (Morty) didn't do a great job of actually seceding and essentially came off the starting line and faceplanted. He did have a plan, but he played it so closely to his chest that he lacked key information.

Further details also paint a grim but hilarious picture of bad decision-making from Malc.

Leon: I sort of expected Morty to have a min of 15% and a max of 40% loyalists
Daemon: Without the assassinations, it'd have been 40-60%. Those caused the Death Guard to radicalize a fair bit

So yeah, been a shitshow all around.

EDIT: It should be noted that while Morty lost 12,000 marines, he's getting 20,000 new recruits back around this turn. He made sure to time it properly before making his announcement.

So, as the vote is rather close, I figured I'd chime in on the two main plans:

All In: This plan ensures that you're able to avoid large scale defections from the Wardens due to involving them into the process. Additionally, you'll be able to tell early on if there are problems with the secession as well as being able to mollify internal factions about matters. However, the timing does mean that propaganda tying you to Mortarion will be present and effect. And the lack of secrecy does mean Malcador and the Emperor will act.

For the Love of God Listen to Ori: This avoids leaking information as well as prevents you from being tied to Mortarion as much. Not having to deal with Malcador and the Emperor sabotaging you is arguable useful, with the PR benefits from the later time being not inconsiderable. However, the delay and secrecy does mean you'll likely see a larger amount of defections and have a harder time with internal factions even if you'll also have enough time to better prep.

Edit: The vote will be open till Wednesday evening my time (PST). I'll call it around that time.

Which plan reduces the chances of more Gamma Camps forming in our domain? I figure it's All In because if the Astartes are fall in line, less IA are going to be trying shit.
