It helps with achieving and exploring the form, it doesn't help with the SuperSaiyan Mind-Alteration (well indirectly maybe, Mastering a form cuts the Mind-Alt to 0 at the same time it cuts the Stamina reduction to 0).
So congrats, you can become terrifyingly more powerful when you go bezerk and murder literally every annoyance in a screaming deathwhirlwind
Innate sense of superiority, the need to dominate and toy with opponents even while seeking out stronger and stronger enemies, needlessly cruel retaliations to harmless annoyances. The usual, just turned up to 12 (or rather, 1,130).
And yeah, you should probably worry about murdering everyone on the planet you are currently on. Especially if you enter any kind of Transformation (Oozaru, Legendary Oozaru, Super Saiyan, Legendary Super Saiyan etc.)
