Though Earth's Shenron should be able to grant that wish just fine I suppose. Charging it with selfish wish is good if the QM decides to incorporate that part of GT.

Inventing the most powerful and amazing Magic in the universe sounds like a project worthy of a Legend and a fun goal for this quest that does not involve being a Evil dictator.

Unless Baba was secretly the real martial artist of the family, the first one is magic. And unless Bibidi was secretly not a wizard, so I the second one.

Guldo and Whis, respectively. Since LC said he's borrowing magic ideas from Cooler-Broly, those are both magic. Well, the second was already magic, but the first was "psychic power" which sounds more like magic than ki to me anyway.

Also the Transformations don't give a fuck about how long natural instincts take to truly appear. They overlay their own mental state and behavioural patterns then set a Minimum Instinct Level (dependant on form and form mastery).

This is actually very helpful. It means that dealing with Legendary is possible without going on a murderrampage, so long as we find a way to keep his pride satisfied; cruelty and aimless anger isn't necessarily part of the package. Gossard's a smart kid, teaching him to find worth in things beyond raw strength would at least help curb the instinct to murder anything more powerful than him.

The other bit would imply that, as far as self-control goes, there's no meaningful benefit to fooling around with our unique ki types at the moment.

Along with other stuff he likes or we could go Full Doctor Strange and Rape our opponents reality if we want to invent the magic.

We don't have to use the same magic though we can go our own way like the Wizardry Dark Schindler uses in Bastard!!! which is very much following the philosophy of sufficient daka or showing our supreme command over reality by shaping and warping it has our will commands. Of course there will be plenty of classic Kung Fu fights as well.

Totally understandable in hindsight. I probably should have been more specific. Instantaneous Movement is basically the magic version of instant transmission. It's used by Kami, Baba, and the Kais primarily.

The sealing technique was never really given a name besides "sealing spell" since apparently the human tongue can't pronounce it. In addition to sealing Buu in his egg thingy, it was also how Beerus sealed away the old Kai.

Yes? Because I'd prefer to see something different? Retreading a gimmick that's already been done just feels boring to me, personally. Especially since we already have a bunch of ki-type lines to explore anyway, even mad-science options that have already been introduced.

To be frank, the idea of gunning for even more power sounds completely redundant for this Quest. We're already stronk.

I totally agree with you on both counts. Well, on one count anyway. I refuse to accept any amount of stronk as enough, since Legendary Super Perfect Cell is probably going to be a thing and that's going to be a rather insane arms race.

That's fair, I'm just not seeing a point to having "be overpowered" as an endgoal since that's effectively the entire purpose of Legendary in the first place. Legendary Cell will be an issue, but by then we'll be significantly older and (hopefully) have a bevy of allies in addition to our transformations.

That's kind of how I feel. Pretty much no matter what we do we're going to be overpowered so we should probably spend our time learning to use our power rather than getting more just to let it use us.

I was going to make a joke about weaker allies doing nothing but standing around for every fight except Broly, but then I remembered we're basically Smart!Broly. So Cell will be Smart!Namekian!Broly. Hopefully that'll be it. Anyway, gangups are totally allowed against him by DB rules, so we should be able to get him.

I sure as hell have no plans of letting Frieza survive Namek to die on Earth where Gero can get to him.

It's literally one damn quest. The thing is in fiction everything has been done. So saying we shouldn't do something just because one quest did one thing doesn't make any damn sense because literally everything has been done before. Besides magic is pretty damn useful sometimes.

Ignoring the fact you seem to be arguing that because "everything has been done," it's impossible to find any gimmick tired or boring (which is, of course, obviously false on its face), it's my opinion dude. That's not a direction I (and apparantly a few others) am personally interested in seeing the story taking, and so I'll probably vote against it if it comes up. You're free to vote otherwise.

Goku is both a Telepath and Telekine, you do know that right?
Telepathy is read-only though, no sign it is related to the Attack-type Telepathy other settings have.

In this quest, Ki is the direct expression and manipulation of raw energy or direct Self-Empowerment. Moving yourself somewhere in space. It also deals with detecting Power both in use and within someone
So Kamehameha, Punching harder etc.

Magic is the shaped application of Energy to change things. Your location in space, the loyalties of a subordinate (though the Defense against this is Ki), telekinesis and Creation
The Super Saiyan God Ritual is actually Magic.
