The King and Land are One
The King and Land are One:

You wanted to let your rage out onto this man in front of you. To show him the full force of the Dragon that was within you, the fury that had been forcing itself to the surface since you had truly comprehended the great crimes that Robert had procured onto him.

You were sitting on your still warm throne, watching this man, close to 80 years of age, bow down to you and pay homage, while everyone else watched.. He did so slowly, deliberately, as his bones ached and creaked as he rose. To some, he felt too frail that this was cruelty that had been forced upon him.

And if it were any other man, it would be. But not to you. And not to your counicl.

Lord Arryn was many things to the men beside you. He was a man who had raised one of the great men who sat on your council. Lord Stark was looking at you with a glint in his eyes, one that had, for a long time, joined your own. There was no time with brutality. Brutality had caused Westeros to bleed.

Yet among others, Prince Oberyn, and even Lord Stannis, there was something more. Hatred. Disgust.

Disbelief that a man who had Roberts ear would allow him to be so destructive. So careless. So stupid.

"Lord Arryn." You had felt a great deal of venom that was unnesecery to him, but it felt so well in your blood. Waiting just a second longer than you strictly needed to, you call, "I am given to understand you have new concerns about the terms of our agreement," you fold your hands in your lap and lean forward, "and had hoped to renegotiate with the Acting Hand." Arryn simmers with defiance but says nothing. "It occurs to me that, as you're in the city to attend tomorrow's coronation, we could just talk about it now."

"Your Grace is too kind, to trouble yourself with such matters," he manages to get out.

"Think nothing of it," you barely restrain a smug grin. He really didn't want to talk with you. A person didn't need your talents to see that Arryn had clearly hoped to prevail upon Ned Stark's sentiments, and try to weasel out of his part of the accords. A person with your talents, though, they'd be able to tell exactly what the problem was, and know just how to pry the information free. "After all, we can speak with each other as men, father to father." Arryn isn't so skilled as to completely hide his reaction, and while your abilities clued you in on this being his true intention, it is nice to have independent confirmation. You aren't going to be especially generous about it, though, and you present a face of dawning comprehension. "Ohh, I see. That wasn't what you hoped to talk about."

To his credit, he tries. "Well, no, Your Grace. In fact, I had hoped to discuss the matter of the financial--"

"The debts that were to be repaid to the Iron Throne are forgiven. They have been forgiven, as the subject of your parole and release."

"I-" He stammered, wishing to say another word, if not to you, than to Lord Stark, who's eyes glanced at the man sympathetically.

You cut him off. "Yes, you hoped to discuss the financial arrangement. You hoped to convince me that your house and indeed the Eyrie at large, having difficulty of late with coin – outside of the mysteriously wealthy and mysteriously vanished Lord Baelish – would face real difficulties and hardships if forced to pay the price agreed upon. You hoped to labour under this to such a degree as to illicit sympathy, if not from me then from the acting Hand." In the corner of your vision, you think you see Lord Stark scuff his foot on the floor slightly as he intently studies the ground instead of meeting anyone's eye. "You hoped to then suggest that perhaps your great house and bannermen could shoulder more of the work in rebuilding the realm, lend swords to the City Watch, send men and material to the Wall, house displaced smallfolk from the war zones. You hoped to imply this would be a great sacrifice to be made on your part, and indeed it would be." Leaning back slightly, you offer a soft smile.

"And you hoped that you might then suggest it would be an easier sacrifice to bear, if only we could be so kind as to relent on your other concession." Your smile drops. "Do you recognize the nature of your error?"

Arryn mirrors Ned, in studying his feet and the floor. His response is bitter, forlorn. "I hoped."

Well, yes, but I can't actually say that aloud. "No. You hoped to deceive and trick me. And you hoped to deny me what we agreed upon." You lean forward, now, and let your hands grip at the Iron Throne instead of balling into fists. "I am not by nature a vindictive man, given to cruelty or torment. I am not a man that blames people for making mistakes." You fix Arryn with a glare. "But I am a man that will see you pay for them."

You almost soften, for a moment, when he looks up at you and you see not an adversary or a hostile lord, but a tired old man with little left in his life. Almost. "And must my son die for this? That I must pay?"

The iron feels warm beneath your hands, like spilled blood. And for a moment, you thought you felt flames BURN! As you felt the throne warm. "I don't take children from their families to throw them in the Black Cells or murder them. You must be thinking of the other king. You know, the one you did nothing to stop."

At your words, you stood. And you glared at this man, this shell of a man who had tried so hard to hide the horror that he ordered onto others. Even Lord Stark seemd concerned you would break your word in your rage, as you felt yourself rise to your feet, and Lord Arryn almost fell over himself, wondering if he should fall to his knees and beg forgiveness, or to face you like a man.

"Your son will not face the fates you allowed others to," you add one last barb, before continuing. "He will be in the care of Lord Stark, when not attending me as my page, and raised as Lord Stark sees fit." Ned glances at you, a hint of confusion to his look, but he nods and plays his part. "And, as a page and fosterling," your tone softens a touch, "he will not be a hostage – he'll be free to visit and be visited as his guardian allows. And he will be with others his age, and allowed to write to you when I allow it."

Lord Arryn nearly collapsed onto his knees. "Thank you, your Grace." He said, nearly sobbing at your feet, even as he stood. He was shown your mercy, and all the world showed that you were not your father.

You want to take him, to put him on trial for standing by and doing nothing as innocents screamed and died, but there's no law against idleness. You'll settle for taking his son, which no matter what words you offer will keep him up for many nights to come, and stripping him of his knighthood. Idleness in the face of injustice may not be a crime against the law, but it is against his oaths as a knight, and you know that he took pride in that title, one that he earned rather than gained by birth. It doesn't right the wrongs or return the unjustly killed, though. It's a petty, unfulfilling victory, you think. You probably ought to get used to those.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Viserys of the House Targaryen, the Third of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, you heard the words with solemnity and dedication, before the High Septon added to your titles, for the first time in nearly three hundred years, King of All Westeros and Shield of His People. Thinking of it, the old man's voice still clear in your mind, you smile again. Is it a necessary restoration? Not really; king, lord and protector all cover the same ground legally and traditionally. But it's important to you, because of the subtle differences. When people hear that, they won't think of separate kingdoms or separate peoples, they'll think of All Westeros – like thinking of the unity of the Seven-Who-Are-One, rather than the individual facets. The realm to you is sort of an ideal, a generality, a reference to the polity and the land itself, but being the Shield of Your People, you and those who come after you will remember to think of the people, and not just yourselves.

You hadn't been looking for much in the way of grandeur and opulence, and your instructions had been followed, more or less; while this would be a day long remembered, you weren't bankrupting the Realm, and you weren't making it all about you instead of the lands and people you meant to serve. Still, some expenditure had been made – chief among them had been the speedily built, only slightly objected to stage outside, beyond the confines of the Sept, where you would soon repeat the formal coronation before the eyes of the smallfolk. Most of the highborn you've spoken with don't seem to really understand it, and when they think no one can hear them they call it a vanity project. It matters to you, though; you are King of All Westeros now, not just king of the highborn, and you know without doubt that your father thought nothing of the smallfolk. You feel a need to draw a contrast, explicit or not. And so, the High Septon will repeat the procedure, slightly abridged, in an hour's time.

But you did not think much more as the opulence, as you found yourself wandering into the waiting gaze of your new Lord Hand. "Ah, Lord Jaime." at the sound of your voice, relief flooded the Golden Lion's face as he bid farewell to one of the bannermen who was with him, a Lord… Frey? Oh it was Lady Genna's husband, trying to ask for coin to restore himself to the Twins from the Unlikely Olyver, who now sat on the throne. "Can we speak?"

Your smile warmed as Jaime buggered all protocol and hugged you. "I thought you wanted me to show strength?" You joked as he let go.

"They won't care." Jaime replied as the High Lord's and their retainers continued, as if they did not see the embrace. "So tell me, how does it feel, being King?"

"Should I be worried about you?" You asked, the smile was plastered on your face with a clear edge.

"In what way?" He snarked. "A sword in your belly in the future?"

"No. Your position." You stated. "My position as King of Westeros is tenuous as it is, even with Dragons if I lose one of my major allies in the West."

"We already agreed to this Viserys." He said your name with care and respect. "I already transferred and abdicated to Tyrion before I left." Your eyes went very cold for a moment. "I've only ever done my duty to you. Put something in the way of that, and that duty can get muddled and lost and broken. And I cannot do that to you."

"And you trust Tyrion?" You asked. "With my life, and the West?"

Jaime nodded. "With your life? No. With all of Westeros? I wouldn't think of a better man than he."

You nodded, not being able to look reassured at his statement. "You planning to arrest your father?" You asked.

Jaime nodded. "As much as asking the city watch and your… cousin in-laws arrest him on crimes of ordering the death of Princess Rheaynes did cross my mind, and Aegon floated the idea… No." He then shook his head, as you saw Tywin and Gerion exchanging very hostile, but very polite words. "There has been enough chaos with your actions melting down the Throne and waiting to carve a new one out. What wer you thinking?"

"Doing what I needed to do to heal the realm, instead of destroy it." You replied, feeling a great deal of pride in your voice. "Aegon conquered this realm. I mean to reforge it into something greater."

"Even if it takes the rest of your life?" He asked.

"The rest of my life is all I have." You replied. "And besides, with you by my side, i think I can survive it."

Jaime then laughed. "Best be careful then. I can't afford to save your life for the third time."

And you both laughed. Reminiscing about better times.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tywin Lannister was someone you needed to face before the day was over. The second coronation was finished and you were back in the Red Keep, eating dinner alone in your quarters. You needed this. No, you had actually desired it and would not take no for an answer.

The knock came quickly enough as you quietly took another bite of the Dornish plumbs, scrumptious and active in their flavor, as Tywin Lannister walked in.

He was every bit a lion of Lannister as Jaime was, even though he had grey on his mutton chops, and he was beginning to bald. His attire was all red, with his tunic being a dark shade of scarlet, and his belt being reddened leather because of bloody course it was. Even as he walked, disarmed, you could see that he was still unnerved about your last encounter with him, where a Dragon ruined his carefully laid plans.

It was very nice to finally see the Old Lion be put in his place. "Your Grace." He bowed as he had a thousand times to lesser men than you. Your father and Robert, both men were not. No, he had failed numerous steps of actual decorum. He did not see you as a… A king that was worthy of respect.

"Lord Tywin." You stated. This was a game of chess now, and you both were players and pieces.

"I must admit, your Grace, I was surprised to hear you wanted to speak to me, after what had transpired." He was being honest but clouded. Lying, yet rather truthful at the same time.

He was harder to read than he was in that tent long ago when he was assured of victory. You wanted to be surprised, but you know a cornered beast was the most dangerous. He saw that from you after all. "Because Lord Tywin, I am not a fool who would blindly throw you in a cell and wait for Oberyn to kill you. I'm not that kind of man. Even if the thought had crossed my mind."

Tywin raised an eyebrow. "What stayed your hand?"

"Curiosity." You stated. "I want to know what drove you to do so many actions. Personally and the most likely answer was possibly your family," Tywin was not surprised or shaken by your answer, in fact, he seemed to take pride in such knowledge, even if he is rather unamused by the answer you playing. "Yet every time I see you, with family and friends, I realize something more and more, and today, it finally hit me."

Lord Tywin remained quiet as if he was judging whether to speak or to remain silent. "It was always about you."

That answer shook the old lion to his core. "Everything you claimed to be fighting for. The Legacy, the family name, your children, the Westerlands, glory, honor. They were only words to you. Words to create a lasting name that will stand the test of time, like Aegon the Conquerer."

You didn't know if there was anger or respect in his eyes. How so easily you tore him apart and his entire motivations. "You wanted to be the Great Tywin Lannister!" You stood, and gestured, not caring about the foolish pose you made. "The man who was the Greatest Lannister since Lann the Clever."

The Depths of Tywin Lannisters:D100 => 80 #The Depths of Tywin Lannister

You smiled more, as you felt his energy lessen, and you knew that beneath his eyes of hard stoicism, you were right. And anything he wanted to try to say against that would be a lie that you would easily see-through. "You are right." He finally relented. "Every word is right."

He than drank the wine across from you.

You smiled. "Thought so."

But Tywin was not done speaking. "So why haven't you killed me, Your Grace? Why have you not stuck me to the men who would see me dead, and see me suffer?"

You smiled. And gave him an answer.

-----------------------------------
What do you say to him:

[]Because right now, you're too useful alive. I'm not a fool like Robert, nor a mad man like my father. You have your uses to me, and I am keen to make use of them. I only hope you realize that, and I may make use of you soon enough.

[]I'm not one to kill a guest in my own home. I am just here to give you two options. Go to The East, as my Representative to Lys, and make sure you keep to my interests. Or never come to Kings Landing again under the pain of death. It's a much better offer than I gave to Poor Gregor. Or Armory Lorch in that case. Oberyn played and made them suffer for weeks, after he hunted them down of course, from the hidey holes you gave them.

[]I wanted to tell you about that? The Wine you drank? Poisoned. Oberyn's idea really. I didn't even know about until you were about to walk into that door. I can give you the antidote if you are willing to do what I ask next? Go to the Wall, Serve the Realm, and never ever try to hurt me, my family, or Jaime, ever again.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You have a plan for the Realm!

What is it?: Please Note that these objectives can be changed every 5 turns, but taking on so many and not completing them may make you look weak to your vessels and abroad.

Completion of said Objective will lead to either choosing another one, or creating a new one.
(Choose as many as you want)

[]To Save the Realm: The Realm needs time to heal from its decades-long bloodshed. The REalm needs peace. So you will give it to them.

[]To Be Debt Free: Robert has squandered the Realms coffers with his appetites and flights of fancy, enough to where the Realm is in serious financial trouble, even with the debts of certain kingdoms forgiven.

[]Expand Naval Defenses: The Royal Navy is not what it was under Lord Stannis as MAster of Ships. It has fallen on the wayside, and there are many reports that your enemies in the east wish to strike back against the Dragon lord who may threaten the Slave Trade.

[]The City the West Desires: Kings Landing will be a capital worthy of being the Capital of this new Westeros.

[]Captians of Industry and Desire: For Far too long, Westeros has been at the end of a staggering Trade deficit to the East, and there is nothing any of the Kings of Westeros wished to change that. You are different. Seeing the East, and the squalor of Westeros, you know it can be better. Far better for everyone.

[]Write in

AN: enjoy.

And Please Vote in Plan Format.

298 AC Turn 1 (Q1)
The first full year of your reign has begun. Life is complicated, but good; your family sits as kings in their desires; your enemies are largely in chains or in the wind; your realm is restive but not in revolt; and the wheel turns ever on.

Special Projects (not required; may choose one)
These will take most of the year to plan and execute.

[ ] A Royal Progress: A grand tour of the realm hasn't been done by a Targaryen in almost 200 years. You would tour the Seven Kingdoms over the course of the year, holding court in various locales as you went. Most of the Small Council would remain in King's Landing to perform their tasks.
[ ] Hail the Conquering Hero: A grand tour of the former Freehold has its appeal to you, and it never hurts to remind the Free Cities that Westeros is the world power on this side of the world, not them. You would tour select Free Cities and surrounding areas over the course of the year. Most of the Small Council would remain in King's Landing to perform their tasks.
-[ ] Write-in four Free Cities/regions to tour, subject to QM approval. Andalos or Selhorys are acceptable write-ins, for instance, while Yi-Ti or Qarth are not.

Projects (pick two per category)

Diplomacy
Advisor: Ned Stark

[ ] Princess of Songs: Few things can capture minds and sway opinions like a good song. If Dany writes something good enough, and you pay bards to play it in the right places, you can stealthily change the public opinion. DC 60. Reward: Improve Happiness, change public opinion on a topic of choice. (5,000 Dr)

[]The Trading Contracts of The East: Robert was utterly fucking the Ream with his agreements to the Freee Cities, losing millions of Gold and Silver to the East, and saw nay a fucking copper for the trouble back. You need to begin to renegotiate those trade deals. DC: 80 Reward: You begin to renegotiate the contracts that Westeros is in. (10,000 DR)

[]Hold Court: You have quite a list of your proclamations to make public to the Lord's of the Realm, and they have their own Greviences that they need to be Aired. It is high time to hold a High Court and make the next coming years known, and hopefully, bearable to the Lord's and Ladies of the Realm DC:55 Reward: You let the Realm know your Objectives, and judge their reactions. (5,000 Dr)

[]To Maintain the Neutrality: There are rumors and whispers across the East from your spy network that there is another Great age of War coming. Not seen since the Bleeding years, and the Fall of Valyria. Volantis is mustering its Legions, and purchasing Unsullied by the tens of thousands. The Free companies across the East are mustering under a coalition of the Three Daughters, and Pentos and Braavos are this close to yet another conflict. They wish for Westerosi Men and Westerosi Backing. You will refuse them. DC: 60 Reward: You make a great statement and proclamation to the East. Westeros is not interested in fighting in their wars. (25,000 Dr)

[]The Rogare Connections: You remember a long time ago, that the Lysine and the Rogares in particular still need to be reminded that you own their asses, literally and figuratively. And they are committing to actions that are beneficial to themselves, and not to you. Remind them that they are the Humble servants of Valaar Vealtigar. And not to themselves. DC: 40 Reward: You remind those cunts that you are the one that makes the decisions in Lys, not them. You don't even need the Dragon to make that point, but it certainly helps. (2,000 Dr)

[]The Iron Request: The Iron Bank, or rather Representatives of Braavos who work for the Iron Bank, have requested a proposition for you, and your kingdom. A Great deal of forgiveness of the debt of your kingdom, in exchange for 500 ships, ten thousand men, and the ability to repair their ships for the duration of the War. DC: 65 Reward: You make a deal with the Braavosi to officially assist them during the War. (25000 Dr) (This will have Grave Repercussions on your diplomatic standing in the East!)

[ ] Frey'd Lines
: Many Houses across the Riverlands, Stormlands and the Reach are now in contention over who should inherit -- with a truly alarming number of men from House Frey in the wings. Lords Hoster, Mace and Stannis can only do so much, and they have asked for Royal assistance in settling these matters. DC 50. Reward: inheritances are settled, some lords may be displeased with results (2,500 Dr)

[ ] Befriending the Banners: The Crownlands are unique among the kingdoms, in that they answer directly to you. Although these lords can be eccentric, they are yours, and you want them loyal. You'll host a series of feasts and worth through inviting them all, to listen to their concerns and assure them of your goodwill. DC 45. Reward: improved relations, information. (30,000 Dr)

[ ] Alliance and Allegiance: Due to having many of the Kingdom's Children or Heirs here in King's Landing, who wish to either marry in or obtain the friendship of their new king, you may need to meet them, and keep them happy. DC: 50 Reward: You set about to meet and discuss the future with numerous wards of the Crown, and see that they are comfortable with their situation. (2,500 Dr)

Martial
Advisor: Stannis Baratheon

[ ] Pomp and Circumstance: You know what everyone (except Stannis) loves? Tournaments. Throwing a lavish tourney is a surefire way to improve the mood of your subjects noble and common alike (saving, perhaps, the Master of War). Young, bold knights will be eager to make their names on the field, and disgraced houses will be hopeful to earn favour with good showings. DC 50, improve Happiness of King's Landing, improve your reputation with attending nobles, participants may improve their Martial. (60,000 Dr)

[ ] Bastards' Bane: While the War of the Restoration has officially ended, bandits and raiders still pillage areas of the Crownlands and Riverlands, the Band of Bastards being a particular thorn in the ass. With your blessing, Stannis would ride forth with a small but respectably sized force, and stamp this nonsense out. DC 55, predations upon the smallfolk end, some lords may be annoyed at the imposition. (7,500 Dr)

[ ] A Gold Standard: The City Watch is poorly equipped, poorly trained, and you're as likely to find an extortionist as you are a good man in the uniform. Aegon would like your permission (and the aid of the Master of War) to clean house, get proper men, proper equipment and proper training. DC 60. Reward: increase quality of the Gold Cloaks to Trained/Full Strength. (15,000 Dr) (locks for 2 rounds)

[]The Watchers of the Sea: There have been reports. Troubling reports that the long-standing slave Trade that had once revved Westeros shores are making a return in force, for the first time in three hundred years. Hundreds of Ships are prowling, waiting to take cargo away from your lands, and back to Slavers bay, or worse, to the warring nations of Essos. Lord Stannis has requested a great budget increase, to allow the ships to patrol the narrow sea, and to stop any ship flying Slaver colors. DC: 65 Reward: You begin a campaign of Sea Born protection across the Narrow Sea Coastline, to protect your people and your property.

[ ] Master and Commander: Stannis has been toying with the notion of a naval academy, an institution to teach sailing and sea-based warfare to any who would learn. The idea has its merits, and it also has its detractors. DC 65. Reward: begin instituting Stannis' naval academy (30,000 Dr)* (locks for 2 rounds)

[ ] The Kraken's Men: Many men can sail and many men can fight, but few can sail and fight like the Ironborn can. Your Master of Ships is floating the idea of training a small, elite force of Ironborn that can fight at land or sea. DC 65. Reward: found the Iron SEALs. (15,000 Dr)* (locks for 2 rounds)

Stewardship
Advisor: Mace Tyrell (Oleana Tyrell)

[ ] Renegotiate Debts: The Usurper left the realm in perilous financial states, and one way to amend this is to renegotiate the terms of the loan the Crown made from the Iron Bank. DC 65. Reward: possibly renegotiate interest rate and/or repayment schedule. (10,000 Dr)

[ ] Nests Within Nests: You can't tell much, given the state of recordkeeping towards the end and the nature of those involved, but you do at least know that Petyr Baelish had a bizarre web of influence and ownerships, the boundaries of which even you couldn't begin to guess at. You'll task Ser Harry with trying to disentangle this Meereenese knot. DC 90. Reward: Baelish's 'ledger' becomes comprehensible, a more complete picture of finances and assets gained. (7,500 Dr) (locks for two rounds)

[]Roads, and all their Glory (King's Landing): You look at the decaying Roads of King's Landing, and see only the shit caked streets and dirt path where there should be stone and marble. DC: 50 Reward: You examine the Roads of the City, and discover if any of them can be salvaged, and what it may cost to repair it. (1,000 DR)

[]Roads and How they Make Trade: The King's Road, and the major road system that were created by Jaeherys the Chancellor, and one of the main arteries of Trade throughout Westeros. They have also not been repaired since they were made, save for minor improvements by the Riverlords in the Riverlands, due to an unusually active merchant class wishing to keep the roads well maintained. DC: 50 Reward: You begin to survey the King's Road, and find out it's condition. (Needs two success to succeed.) (2,500 Dr)

[]The Census of Westeros (The Crownlands): Westeros has not had a proper census in its entire history, just local counting, and guesswork that relied heavily on local tax collectors being smart enough to write it down. You are going to change that by doing something modern in this world. Actually doing something new. DC: 60 Reward: You begin a true census of the entire Westerosi Population. (Needs two successes to succeed.) (2,500 Dr)

[ ] A New City: King's Landing is overcrowded; anyone can see that. About the only thing that can be done at this point is to organize the settlement of a new district. This is going to be a massive and years-long project. DC 40. Reward: Complete the planning stage for the new district. (5,000 Dr)

[ ] Brown Bile: King's Landing's sewer system dates back to the reign of King Jaehaerys I, when the city was a lot smaller. You want to expand and modernize it into something that will keep the city, as much as possible, from smelling like human waste. DC 70. Reward: begin work on new sewers, increase Health significantly when the project is completed. (50,000 Dr) (This project must succeed 5 times to be completed)

[ ] A Stable for Dragons: The ruins of the Dragonpit still stand atop Rhaenys' Hill. Now that there are dragons living in King's Landing again, you might want to rebuild it so you have a place to keep them by the time they're old enough to really cause trouble. DC 50. Reward: the Dragonpit is rebuilt. (75,000 Dr) (This project must succeed 4 times to be completed)

[ ] Fools' Errands: the maps of the world have largely looked the same for centuries (save for Valyria becoming an archipelago of misery and death). The Shivering Sea seals away the North beyond places like Hardhome and the Wall, the Sunset Sea has never been defined beyond the Targaryen Islands (not terribly far to the West) the East is legends and mysteries beyond Yi Ti, and none since Jaenara have ventured beyond the coasts of Sothoryos. You'd like to do something about this, beginning by funding some ships to start mapping as much of the world as possible. DC 80. Reward: an "Outbound Fleet" takes shape, and exploration of the world begins anew. (65,000 Dr)

Intrigue
Advisor: Oberyn Martell

[ ] Develop Spy Network (Region): Set your Master of Whispers to finding informants. You want to know what your lords are trying to keep hidden. DC 70. Reward: get additional insights along with the standard rumors that everyone hears. (25,000 Dr) (Please specify region when voting) (may be taken twice for multiple regions)

[ ] The Red Keep's Ways: The Red Keep is riddled with secret passages. Everyone knows this. Fewer know the location of even one. Oberyn, with the help of the Sand Snakes, can find them all. DC 60. Reward: gain complete knowledge of the Red Keep's secret passages. (Free)

[ ] Sins of the Father: Your father's last mad plan never came to fruition, but it left a lot of wildfire scattered around the city, and Jaime doesn't know the locations of all the caches. You'll start trying to quietly track down a paper trail or anyone who knows of something strange. DC 75. Reward: locate the lost wildfire caches. (5,000 Dr) (This project must succeed 3 times to be completed)

[ ] Little Fingers, Large Shadows: The only remaining member of Robert's Small Council at large, former Master of Whispers Petyr Baelish has somehow vanished from the world. This cannot be. You'll find him somehow, someday. You'll start by tracing his past, his movements and his dealings. No one can just disappear, he has to have left some kind of trail. DC 80. Reward: begin gaining information about Baelish, his assets and his disappearance. (10,000 Dr)

[ ] Three is Auspicious, but…: More dragons are better, right? You came across your three dragon eggs by chance, but surely these were not the only three eggs left in the world. DC 85. Reward: possibly discover other dragon eggs??? (15,000 Dr)

[ ] The Lonely Dragons: At the moment, the entirety of House Targaryen consists of you and your infant child, your sister, and your nephew. Is it possible that there's more family out there? Your father and brother may have had bastards, and who knows how many female relatives married into other families? Your knowledge of your family tree is woefully incomplete, and you would know more. DC 50/75/100. Reward: learn more about the branches of the Targaryen family, ??? (15,000 Dr)

Learning
Advisor: Grand Maester William

[ ] The Box is Open. Ever since you destroyed the Iron Throne, you have had a great sense of peace, and also dread, as if you released something horrible into the world, that cannot be put back in. You'll have the Grand Maester look into it. DC 80. Reward: gain information about the Iron Throne, ??? (1,000 Dr)

[ ] The Higher Mysteries: Magic exists in this world. Your dragons are proof of it. Your dreams are proof of it. Seven Hells, whatever nightmarish things Euron Greyjoy got up to would also qualify. But it is unknown to you. This is where your request to the Citadel regarding the new Grand Maester comes in. DC 55. Reward: learn about magic, ??? (5,000 Dr)

[ ] The Dragon's Bane: Wildfire was an obsession of your father, and of other Targaryens before him (Aerion 'Brightflame' makes your father look sane in contrast). You like a bit of fire and destruction as much as the next dragon, but maybe there is something else here? DC 60. Reward: gain understanding of wildfire's properties, potential uses (10,000 Dr)

[ ] What Made the Red God Red?: Lord Stannis Baratheon and his wife Selyse are open devotees of the Lord of Light, after a servant of the Red God saved their daughter's life. A Red Priestess named Melisandre was once so interested in meeting you she put a bounty on you. Just what is the deal with the Red God and his followers, anyway? DC 50. Reward: gain information about R'hllor and his disciples (2,000 Dr)

[ ] On Crowns They Hung the Dragonfire: Three dragons now live in King's Landing, and they are, for now, obedient and under control. Dany has great instincts, informed by her old book of Valyrian tales and myths, but you would really like additional information, and there must be more out there than just this book. DC 85. Reward: find out more about dragon rearing, training and maintaining (7,500 Dr)

[ ] Silence Lay Steadily Against the Wood and Stone: You know hardly anything about Summerhall, one of the darkest marks in your family's long and checkered history in Westeros. Your brother went there often, but spoke nothing of it; your father wouldn't hear the name in his presence; your mother wept at the very thought of it. Perhaps an impartial third party, an observer like the Grand Maester, can give you the salient details – what the buildup was, what if anything went wrong, anything you don't know but should. DC 75. Reward: information about Summerhall, ??? (7,500 Dr)

Personal (Pick Two)

[ ] Sharper than the Sharpies:
You may not officially run your merchant enterprise anymore, but the intrigues involved are what you truly excel at, and if you're honest with yourself, you sometimes miss the fun of it. Allows you to take on an additional Intrigue task.

[ ] A Bent Copper: You remember well what happened to the last king when he didn't pay close enough mind to his financials. Seven Hells, his situation was so dire that you sent him a million gold dragons as a taunt once. While you're certainly no indulgent wastrel, you'd like to get better with coin. Stewardship/Learning, DC: 60. Reward: increase Stewardship, gain related traits, may improve some relationships (Free)

[ ] Return to Dragonstone: You haven't set foot upon the island in fourteen years, and the last time you were there, your mother died in your presence. Maybe it's been long enough, and you can lay some old ghosts to rest? And who knows what secrets and knowledge may lay hidden in your family's ancestral home? Reward: ??? (Free)

[ ] Beyond the Veil: You have little to no control over your visions. You would like to try and improve upon this. Maybe the Grand Maester knows something, maybe someone wrote on this once, anything – you need guidance. Willpower, DC 50. Reward: may unlock Seer traits, other options (Free)

[ ] The Bonds Between Us: You have a core group of people in your inner circle, but it's only a few. And a king certainly can't ignore the members of his court. (Specify a person, or perhaps two people, to spend time with). Reward: strengthen relationships, may improve stats or gain new traits. (Free)

[ ] A Dragon in Black: You do have one living relative you know of outside of King's Landing: your ancestrally and geographically distant uncle Aemon, a maester in the service of the Night's Watch. You're told that Rhaegar would exchange letters with the old man, before his death – maybe he'd like to write you? Reward: Contact with Maester Aemon Targaryen, ??? (Free)

Heroes (Pick one task each)

Daenerys Targaryen
[ ] Diplomacy of the Dame:
There are few as good with their words and innate charm as Dany, and she can put that to good use. (Allows you to take on an additional Diplomacy project, using only her Diplomacy bonus) (Please specify project when voting).

[]The Traveling Bard: Your sister wishes to travel Westeros, to the Great Holdfasts of your Vassels and their many lord's, as herself, a princess that can fly, can sing and be a young woman in her youth. Happy and whole. You agree. DC: 55 Reward: Dany Goes Traveling across Westeros with her Dragon, and she meets with the Lord's of Westeros.

[ ] Shadows of the Past: For good or ill, the most powerful and consequential of Targaryen women have always had martial skills. To advance her in this arena, you'll have Dany train with Ser Bonifer. Martial, DC 55. Reward: increase Martial, gain combat-related traits. (Free)

[ ] Sisters in Scales: Dany has never been one for the traditional route, and neither have you. She's forged good relationships with the Sand Snakes, and they could probably teach her things that would never occur to Ser Bonifer. Martial/Intrigue, DC 40. Reward: increase Martial and Intrigue, may gain combat-related and intrigue-related traits. (Free) (assigns the Sand Snakes to Dany for the round)

Aegon Targaryen

[]
The Case of a Dragon, and a City: You are starting to think that whenever it comes to the second in line of the Iron Throne, and in this city, you start to think that things will go mad. Like there are reports of a man in armor, jumping around at night, beating up criminals. Egg, do you know anything about this? DC: 40 Reward: You send Egg to investigate this strange occurrence.

[ ] A Mind that Burns: The Golden Prince is smart, and received much of the training for kingship that you never did. You would have him improve on those subjects, as they will help him over the possibility of ruling a rock that you may see him in, but when he becomes a lord somewhere as well. DC: 50. Reward: increase Stewardship and Diplomacy, gain related traits. (Free)

[ ] The Path of Ashes: Since he has lived his life as a Mercenary, Aegon has always known a life of fighting and struggle, and while he is no master at it, he wishes to learn more. You'll have Aegon train with you and select others in your court, to improve his skills. Martial, DC 50. Reward: increase Martial, gain combat-related traits, may improve relationships. (Free)

[ ] Along the Nascent Echo: Summerhall sits long ruined, a scar on the Stormlands and a sobering reminder of your house's fragility and fallibility. Aegon has some curiosity about the place, given his father's connection to it, and he's dreamed of visiting it sometime. Reward: ??? (2,500 Dr)

[ ] The Shape of Dreams: Many Targaryens across history have been touched by some kind of influence beyond the mortal coil – some dream of the future or the past, some discover things in the present beyond their ken, some speak with the dead … Aegon wonders, in his few quiet moments, if he has inherited something of this from his father. Willpower, DC 60. Reward: increase Willpower, may gain related traits. (Free)

Garret of Saltpans
[ ] Port of Call:
A trading company would be sort of silly without having operations of some kind in as many major port cities as possible, and the Tigaros Cartel is not silly. Garret will begin to expand from Lys and Braavos, working to get a foothold in various port cities. Intrigue/Diplomacy, DC & cost varies by port city (write-in 3 target cities, subject to QM approval)

[ ] Hoist the Colours: You know a profitable venture that you never got yourself into? Piracy. The Narrow Sea is almost crawling with ships, some more vulnerable than others, and the Summer Sea never lacks for opportunity either. And there's always the Arbor… Intrigue, DC 40. Reward: the makings of a pirate enterprise, varying amounts of coin and cargo, ??? (20,000 Dr)

[ ] Settling Accounts: Once upon a time, you had to flee your home in Braavos, thanks to the amorality of the servants Ser Willem Darry had hired. You are very much now in a position to reclaim what was lost (as can be, anyhow) and to have Garret exact some petty revenge. It would be unbecoming for a King of Westeros to stoop so low, but hey – that's what Tigaros is for. Intrigue, DC 35. Reward: reclaimed items lost from Ser Willem's home, sweet sweet vengeance, ??? (5,000 Dr)

[ ] Tempting Fate: You survived the Doom of Valyria once, with the help of Ser Jaime and Lord Gerion and no small amount of luck. So far, everyone else that's tried has failed where you succeeded. You'll task Garret with finding out why, and maybe collecting some treasures you recall still awaiting claimants in the Doom. It's a very foolhardy but potentially very profitable option. Intrigue/Martial, DC 90. Reward: information on failed expeditions, secrets and treasures lost in Valyria, ??? (100,000 Dr)

[ ] O Brothel, Where Art Thou?: A funny thing has happened since the Restoration – many of the brothels in King's Landing have been in trouble, their proprietor missing and assets (in every sense of the word) left vulnerable. It's a bit distasteful and lowbrow, but it is the oldest profession in the world, and someone needs to do it. Diplomacy/Stewardship, DC 45. Reward: the Vaeltigar Trading Consurtioumsteps in and gains some, erm…assets. (10,000 Dr)

[ ] Selling Swords: Besides trading and whoring, the most profitable work in the world is mercenary work. There are a lot of sellswords out there, and there's a lot of veterans who, for one reason or another, can't seem to go home. Garret will put them to work. Martial/Stewardship, DC 40. Reward: the Vaeltigar Trading Consurtioum gains a sellsword arm, and you gain a private army loyal only to you (and your coin). (25,000 Dr)

The Kingsguard
[]Rebuilng the Guard:
There are only 4 members of the guard at this moment. It needs to be brought back to full strength before anything else. DC: 0 (FREE)

[ ] A Duty to Swords: A Kingsguard is never skilled enough. (Martial, difficulty varies) Reward: Increase Martial and gain combat-related traits.
[ ] Loyal Knights: (Allows you to take on an additional Martial Project) (Please specify which one when voting)
[ ] Restoration Reformations: Ser Jaime has gotten himself Opinions as pertain to the Kingsguard, and you haven't gotten this far by not trusting his judgment. He would like your permission (and input, in some cases) to implement some changes in the Kingsguard. Diplomacy & Martial, difficulty varies. Reward: Begin instituting some reforms on the Kingsguard.
[ ] Brothers and Sisters: It has not escaped notice that an informal Queensguard has coalesced around your wife, Arianne. You will formalise this arrangement, and work with Ser Jaime to smooth over whatever vocal objections arise to armed women being legitimised by the Crown. Diplomacy, DC 75 (Jaime & Viserys). Reward: Queensguard established, some traditionalist feathers ruffled (unlocks future vote bloc to recruit members)

The Sand Snakes
When they are not minding your wife (their cousin) as an informal Queensguard, whom do they aid?
[ ] Task them to Dany (takes Sisters in Scales action)
[ ] Task them to Oberyn (+10 to Oberyn's rolls)
[ ] Task them to Arianne full-time (lowers DC of Brothers and Sisters by 15)

Arianne Martell
[-]
The Queen is recovering from delivery of Daeron, and will be available for actions in six months.

Jacelyn Bywater:

[]The Streets of Justice: Bywater and his boys are going to be cleaning up the Streets, one street at a time. They are going to be out in force. DC 60 Reward: The City Watch begin to strike back at the Gang Violence in the city, and there will be blood.

[]The Legends of Gin Ally: There is a murderer named Karl, who calls himself the Legend of Gin Ally. Let's see how a legend deals with twenty men of steel. DC: ??? Reward: You end the Legend of Gin Ally.

[]Detective Seaworth: Mathos Seaworth is a boy who knew the city, and while he isn't nearly as skilled as his father, he knows how to discover the crime that seeps beneath the surface. DC: 30 Reward: The City Watch gain its first true Detective.

Sandor Clegane:

[]Mountian Breaker: Ser Gregor Clegane will be brought before the King, and face your Justice. Sandor will be taking him to the Capital personally. All he needs to do is hear your word. And gather some swords. DC: 40 Reward: Gregor Clegane is Arrested and now sits in a Black cell for his punishment. (500 DR)

[]The Justice League: Sandor will work with the City Watch to Clean up the Streets of King's Landing. (Add a +10 to all of Bywater's Action.)

[]All The King's Men: Sandor, help the Kingsguard for a bit, I am in need of all the swords I can get. (Add a +10 to all Kingsguard Action.)

AN: enjoy.

And vote in plan format please.

Also a moratorium for 2 hours.

A "Questionable" line of business
Ok, since it seems like we are doing the brothel stuff I had a funny idea for an omake @Magoose

A "Questionable" line of business

"Are you sure about this Viserys..?" Asked Prince Oberyn after his loud and long outburst of laughter "No man would deny that prostitution is a solid investment... But this movement could be considered too scandalous to many people, Hell not even Aegon the Unworthy decided to make most of King´s Landing brothels property of the crown!"

"Oberyn, You know me better than that" Viserys pointed out "You know this is not an act of impulsiveness that my great-great-great-grandfather was so famous for... And while it is true that we need all the extra coin we can get, the reason why we have purchased those houses of ill repute doesn't have to do with earning coin, but for the great help that can be for your job"

"Yeah I can see the merit of the idea, most men love to talk when their balls are empty, and the information that a network formed by these whores could grant us lots of benefits" conceded the Prince "What I am not so sure about is whether this is a good time to make the purchase, given the how problematic the Restoration has been, and that once the people decide to come up with a moniker we you ate kind of stuck with him"

"I agree that this may look like we rushed this operation too much " Viserys conceded "But I am afraid that if we have waited, even for a few weeks more, the different gangs would have taken possession of most of these brothels which would have made the deal much less satisfactory"

"Ok, I still think you have rushed things a little too much, but I can see your point" Oberyn looks thoughtful "But I am not the only one who would benefit from this purchase... We may want to use it to help Ser Jacelyn, lots of those criminals that he has on his Wanted list will eventually get out of their hiding place for some fun in your establishments, and that is a great spot to ambush them or follow them to their hiding places"

"Well, another great idea from the Red Viper" Viserys looked back at his uncle as he left the room "Anything else?"

"Yeah, make sure that you give a discount for friends and family" Oberyn chuckled "Ellaria and I wanted to sample the local cuisine here in Kings´s Landing, and we are ready to take advantage of that awesome thing that is nepotism!"

    -[X] Diplomacy
--[X]To Maintain the Neutrality: There are rumors and whispers across the East from your spy network that there is another Great age of War coming. (25,000 Dr)
--[X] Alliance and Allegiance: Due to having many of the Kingdom's Children or Heirs here in King's Landing, who wish to either marry in or obtain the friendship of their new king, you may need to meet them, and keep them happy. DC: 50 Reward: You set about to meet and discuss the future with numerous wards of the Crown, and see that they are comfortable with their situation. (2,500 Dr)

--[X] Nests Within Nests: You can't tell much, given the state of recordkeeping towards the end and the nature of those involved, but you do at least know that Petyr Baelish had a bizarre web of influence and ownerships, the boundaries of which even you couldn't begin to guess at. "What Price shall we pay to you, Great King Viserys, for your support?"

You looked at the various members of the Delegation that were gathered in King's Landing. Eager to listen to you. Lord Tywin had been deft and aloof as you had requested, being a stone wall looking out for the Interests of your Kingdom, and yourself. It was a role that he played to perfection, a brilliant statesman was so hard to find.

But now it was your turn, and you were enjoying every moment of this.

"I seem to recall the wisdom of Lord Aegon, before he went west to Conquer Westeros, you know what he said?" No one said anything, and you were rather disappointed that no one knew this one. A Shame "Let us ignore the east. It is a silly place."

The insult was clear. Nothing could be gained by sticking to the Old World. Instead, they created something new. You were creating something new.

You were quite happy to realize how far these men would go to try and change your mind. Even after it was already made.

"So I ask again? What are you willing to give?"

This is the first time, perhaps ever in the History of Westeros… that the east was bending over and begging.

And you were going to rip it all away.

(Continued in: The Interlude: Neutrality Above All)

--[X] Alliance and Allegiance: Due to having many of the Kingdom's Children or Heirs here in King's Landing, who wish to either marry in or obtain the friendship of their new king, you may need to meet them, and keep them happy. DC: 50 Reward: You set about to meet and discuss the future with numerous wards of the Crown, and see that they are comfortable with their situation. (2,500 Dr) D100 => 81+17+17+10= 125

You had been expecting a great deal of hostility, perhaps even fear when you had kept the children in the capital. For good reason of course, many of them were taken against their will by Robert. That was expected, in fact, you anticipated many to just cry, and wish to return home, and while they were safer than they had been in years.

Instead, you had found yourself in a situation you never expected.

Playing games with your future Vassals. More importantly, playing Cyvasse in an impromptu tournament with the fifty or so children that were in your court, and it lasted for over two days.

Every challenger you played, it was a matter not of life and death, but of truly interesting introspection from children and teenagers that were-

Well, they were all enamored by your tales and adventures. Every single one of them asked how you flew on the back of your dragon, without a saddle, could you communicate with the Dragon?

The minds of children were without a doubt, truly wonderful. But it was oh so exhausting after the first five times.

In the end, you did learn quite a bit more about these young children.

They were children, and despite everything, you had managed to allow them to be children. Instead of hostages, political tools, or your duty.

And you were sure that when they went home, their families will see you as a good man.

Failing that, you would be known as a damn fine Cyvasse player.

Reward: Relations with all Vassals of Westeros are increased ever so slightly. But it is noticeable. And as you continue to reign, every year, it will increase significantly.

In 10 years' time, most major vessels will be at enthusiastic support.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--[X] Bastards' Bane: While the War of the Restoration has officially ended, bandits and raiders still pillage areas of the Crownlands and Riverlands, the Band of Bastards being a particular thorn in the ass. With your blessing, Stannis would ride forth with a small but respectably sized force, and stamp this nonsense out. DC 55, predations upon the smallfolk end, some lords may be annoyed at the imposition. (7,500 Dr) D100 => 88+25+36+10= 159

Lord Stannis had his work cut out for him, as you realized that there was a great deal of work that needed to be done just to even put together a campaign.

But Stannis was anything but slow, and he had gathered up a few men, a few words, sellswords, and even Thoros of Myr, the Red Priest of the Capital who was more likely to drink the to fight and hides his hair well with a top knot. Even the elderly, and senile Lymond Lychester, who rarely left the Riverlands, gathered his armor and answered the call to fight and destroy the bandits.

It was a strange party. That gathered more strange men. A Darry man, even a Blackwood and Bracken, two of the sons of the noble lord's, put aside their differences for hunting down bandits. For the Glory and honor of it all. Maybe even to one-up one another in the field of battle.

But the most interesting man in the group was Edmure Tully, who was now armed and armored to face them and to bring his justice upon them.

You had expected them to be gone for a month or two.

They came back in 12 days, and you had heard the Tully Rock of Doom once again.

The fighting was fierce, but Stannis suffered not a single casualty, save for old man Lymond being slashed in the gap of his armor.

But the Frey Bandits were dealt with swiftly.

And since Lord Edmure was involved, none of the Riverlords can get mad at you.

Reward: The Band of Bastards is slaughtered to a man, the Riverlands are grateful (in no small part because Lord Edmure being involved expertly milked his relationships with several lords and landed knights to minimize any discomfort) and the success here definitely helped ease some tensions that would otherwise have developed with Lord Hoster. While Lord Stannis is still mad about the whole affair, and made second fiddle to Lord Tully, he is happy he has done his duty.

And quite happy to be back in the city.

--[X] Master and Commander: Stannis has been toying with the notion of a naval academy, an institution to teach sailing and sea-based warfare to any who would learn. The idea has its merits, and it also has its detractors. DC 65. Reward: begin instituting Stannis' naval academy (30,000 Dr)* (locks for 2 rounds) D100 => 69+25+36+10= 140

You looked at Lord Stannis as he handed you a giant brick of a book. "Are you familiar with the Valyrian Legions of the Old Freehold?"

The Tome was an old one, at least a thousand years old in printing, and copied meticulously to make its knowledge clear and concise.

Even if you could see one or two spelling errors.

"Not entirely, I know the Lost Legion is one of the last who claim such a title, and that the Legions of Valyria were backed by Dragon riders, but nothing else of the sort. Most of the knowledge of the Legions themselves are either in Volantis, and out of Scholarly reach, or in Valyria, destroyed. And no offense, I am not in the mood to go back there."

Stannis did not move for a moment, as you saw his teeth go up and down, like he was about to grid them, but held firm in his statements. "This book is one of five copies still in existence, and it is entirely about the Valyrian Navy."

"Where did you get that?" You asked, now curious at the tome itself. "I didn't see you grab something like that when we were in Volantis?" Unless you had somehow missed a massive book in Lord Stannis' Chambers.

"Indeed, I had asked for it from the Citadel, and it was sent by courier. Under armed guard." He replied.

"Must be some book?" You found yourself saying aloud as you looked into the pages.

"It is the Reason that the Narrow Sea was held by so little, they knew how to do more with less." Stannis said. "And now so shall we."

You didn't want to spoil what he was thinking…but you had a wonderful idea of the plan. "Make it be done."

Reward: The Ideas and Resources that have been secured for the Navy…now comes to the matter of putting those ideas into action. And there is also a very important matter. Where to put this new academy.

--[X] Renegotiate Debts: The Usurper left the realm in perilous financial states, and one way to amend this is to renegotiate the terms of the loan the Crown made from the Iron Bank. DC 65. Reward: possibly renegotiate interest rate and/or repayment schedule. (10,000 Dr) D100 => 86+20+9+10= 125

Tycho Nestoris is as pleasant as ever in person, though it takes him a bit to warm up to Lord Tyrell. In short order, however, the three of you get down to business, and by the end of the afternoon you have the makings of a new arrangement with the Iron Bank of Braavos. Over the next few weeks, you become less and less essential to the process, and when Nestoris departs for Braavos, he does so with an excellent working relationship established with Lord Tyrell. It turns out, you discover, the rates were so usurious because the Bank wanted the Usurper's balls in a vise should he have triumphed against you, given his existing debts and proven struggles with finance. With you in the Throne, Nestoris could secure a more favourable payment schedule and interest rate, and after a bit of haggling you offered some collateral to help smooth things over with his superiors. All in all, you think things went fairly well, and this could help with other negotiations down the road.

But you had an idea. A better one.

You had a great deal of money. And you were going to use it.

Reward: The Iron Bank, with all of its debts and interests, are now paid off.

The Iron Bank is pleased with getting their money back, and wishes to work with one another again.

The Iron Bank's relationship with you is very good.

Lord Tyrell was just happy to be involved. -3 million Dragons.

Front page will be updated.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--[X] Nests Within Nests: You can't tell much, given the state of recordkeeping towards the end and the nature of those involved, but you do at least know that Petyr Baelish had a bizarre web of influence and ownerships, the boundaries of which even you couldn't begin to guess at. You'll task Lord Mace (and his loving mother) with trying to disentangle this Meereenese knot. DC 90. Reward: Baelish's 'ledger' becomes comprehensible, a more complete picture of finances and assets gained. (7,500 Dr) (locks for two rounds) D100 => 18+20+9+10+10 (Omake)= 67

You should have done it yourself. That was a mistake that you wanted to correct when you saw the shitty way that MAce Tyrell was attempting on his own.

The ledgers were in a numerical cipher that required a starting point.

But you neither knew where the beginning of the trail was. Nor how long it lasted.

Failure:

DC decreased by -10, cost increased by 10,000.

You are starting to think that Mace's mother is trying to get more involved in finding Baelish?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--[X] The Red Keep's Ways: The Red Keep is riddled with secret passages. Everyone knows this. Fewer know the location of even one. Oberyn, with the help of the Sand Snakes, can find them all. DC 60. Reward: gain complete knowledge of the Red Keep's secret passages. (Free) D100 => 7+32+17+10= 66

One day, Prince Oberyn tells you in confidence to avoid having conversations you wouldn't like overheard, especially by him. You trade japes about how that was already your standard practice, but its borne out the next day, and for weeks after that, as you'll be in the middle of something else altogether and come to hear shuffles, occasionally giggles, from within the walls. The four youngest of the Sand Snakes, along with their half-sister Sarella, are making a complete map of the secret passages, hidden entryways and listening posts that riddle the Red Keep. There is one minor incident where four gold cloaks are overheard talking about their … unsavoury practices … and they catch Elia listening in. Foolishly, they decided to try and silence her. Two of them end up killed by their own blades, a third is killed by Sarella after the impressively one-sided fight draws outsider attention, and after allowing the elder Snakes to interrogate him for information, the fourth is summarily executed by a very pissed off and newly promoted Mathos Seaworth.

No one crosses the Snakes again.

Reward: a detailed map of the Red Keep's secret passages, and personal knowledge of the few truly safe locations; a handful of goldcloaks quietly retire rather than continue similar practices; you come to learn that the unofficial Rule One for the barracks of the City Watch inside the Red Keep is "Do not fuck with the Sand Snakes".
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--[X] Sins of the Father: Your father's last mad plan never came to fruition, but it left a lot of wildfire scattered around the city, and Jaime doesn't know the locations of all the caches. You'll start trying to quietly track down a paper trail or anyone who knows of something strange. DC 75. Reward: locate the lost wildfire caches. (5,000 Dr) (This project must succeed 3 times to be completed) D100 => 98+32+17+10=157 (Massive Critical Success)

You hadn't expected to feel sick to your stomach before when you saw the WildFire. Your father was mad of course, why would you be surprised.

It was the amount that finally made you realize just how mad your father was.

You also made sure to make it known that Jaime was the one who found it. And you also made sure that you made several reports and notes and proclamations, about the ill-fitting rulership of Robert Baratheon, who allowed the city to become some sort of powderkeg.

Partial Reward: first success completed. Jaime's Reputation has begun a long climb from the Kingslayer, into something more.

You start to think that this isn't the only secret your father hid from the world.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--[X] The Box is Open. Ever since you destroyed the Iron Throne, you have had a great sense of peace, and also dread, as if you released something horrible into the world, that cannot be put back in. You'll have the Grand Maester look into it. DC 80. Reward: gain information about the Iron Throne, ??? (1,000 Dr) D100 => 76+???=??? (Massive Critical Success)

You felt for the first time in a long time. Afraid.

Afraid, and knowing what has occurred. What horror you unleashed onto the world.

but you also realized that you had something within. And within all the others that are around you, and in Westeros.

(Continued in: Interlude: The Last to Leave the Box Was Hope.)

--[X] On Crowns They Hung the Dragonfire: Three dragons now live in King's Landing, and they are, for now, obedient and under control. Dany has great instincts, informed by her old book of Valyrian tales and myths, but you would really like additional information, and there must be more out there than just this book. DC 85. Reward: find out more about dragon rearing, training and maintaining (7,500 Dr) D100 => 90+???=??? (Super Massive Critical Success)

Your Dragon gazed into your soul as you gazed into his.

You felt the same fire within. Connected, and forged by the same fires.

And with a roar, you realized that it was no regular beast. It was a symbiote. Bonded with your spirit.

And you needed to understand it, before it killed you.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--[X] A Dragon in Black: You do have one living relative you know of outside of King's Landing: your ancestrally and geographically distant uncle Aemon, a maester in the service of the Night's Watch. You're told that Rhaegar would exchange letters with the old man, before his death – maybe he'd like to write you? Reward: Contact with Maester Aemon Targaryen, ??? (Free) D100 => 6+10= 16 (Lets be honest, he deserves some good news!)

To King Viserys III Targaryen,

It is a privilege to have lived to write 'king' and 'Targaryen' together once more, and a joy beyond words to be able to write them with pride. Long have I hoped that you and your sister lived, my young nephew, far from the reach of Robert, and you grant me not only to know this hope was answered and more, but that you found a nephew of your own, safe and sound. And now, your letter confirms to me the things I have heard whispered and the curses I have heard uttered by some of our newest recruits, that our family grows once more --with a healthy baby boy!--I could not have ever dreamed of such a fine way to celebrate my hundredth name day, Your Grace, and for that, I am forever grateful.

Your brother Rhaegar, Seven keep him, was kind enough to write to his ancient great-uncle on occasion, to sometimes confide in him and to seek advice, what little I could offer. If you would have it, I would now offer you counsel as well – the men you have sent to us have been a boon (for the most part; Slynt is a creature so useless that even maggots would refuse his company) and the men settling the Gifts are likewise appreciated, but I fear many more will be necessary. The Lord Commander would not have me tell you this, but we can only man three castles fully at this time, numbering ourselves perhaps one-thousand, four-hundred men. And as the First Ranger tells me, Winter is Coming. Men and materials will soon become more necessary and in shorter supply than ever before, and I humbly beseech Your Grace to see fit to aid us however you can before winter comes.

I hope this raven returns to find you and your family well, and entreat you to write as often as you desire.

Humbly,
Aemon
Maester of Castle Black, the Night's Watch

You finish reading, and can barely keep the emotions from your face before you notice a small scroll has fallen free from the letter. Picking it up, you see that it bears the same tiny, precise writing of Aemon's hand, and you quickly read it:

My King – most often, I can be free in my writing, given my position and direct access to the ravens, but these eyes have long since failed me, and so reading has fallen to those who aid me. Take care that any words you send to me are words you care not if others see them. – Aemon

You take care to burn the latter note, and as you watch it burn you resolve that you will share the longer letter at your family dinner this evening.

Result: You have contact with your great-great-uncle Aemon. You also now have an unimpeachable source of information on the Wall … so long as you trust the Black Brothers who help Aemon read and write his letters.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--[X] Return to Dragonstone: You haven't set foot upon the island in fourteen years, and the last time you were there, your mother died in your presence. Maybe it's been long enough, and you can lay some old ghosts to rest? And who knows what secrets and knowledge may lay hidden in your family's ancestral home? Reward: ??? (Free)D100 => 74 +???=??? (Massive Critical Success)

You had hoped to return your mother's Crown, alone.

You did not want to be disturbed by anyone.

It seems mother had another idea. But her cold embrace, even as a shadow, was exactly the same as you remembered, even after all these years alone. Warm, comforting, and beautiful.

"I'm proud of you Viserys." She whispered.

-[X] Sisters in Scales: Dany has never been one for the traditional route, and neither have you. She's forged good relationships with the Sand Snakes, and they could probably teach her things that would never occur to Ser Bonifer. Martial/Intrigue, DC 40. Reward: increase Martial and Intrigue, may gain combat-related and intrigue-related traits. (Free) (assigns the Sand Snakes to Dany for the round) D100 => 5+20+10=35

You had hoped, or prayed that Dany would be receptive to the great deal of extra training, and just fun that the Sandsnakes were going to do to convince her to give Ser Bonifer a chance to train.

You were wrong. Oh so wrong.

She must have known that you would ask the Snakes to do what they could to help in getting her comfortable with weapons training. But instead, she just withdrew into…

Tywin? She would rather meet with Lord Lannister than her family?

Or maybe she was doing something else that you did not know.

You were worried, but you also knew she may be focusing on other tasks.

Failure.

New Dany Action Available.

--[X]The Case of a Dragon, and a City: You are starting to think that whenever it comes to the second in line of the Iron Throne, and in this city, you start to think that things will go mad. Like there are reports of a man in armor, jumping around at night, beating up criminals. Egg, do you know anything about this? DC: 40 Reward: You send Egg to investigate this strange occurrence. D100 => 3+10=13

Aegon looked at you with a small frown.

"Did you find out the identity of this strange man?" You asked.

Aegon hid his hands, and you saw the bruises. "From interrogations?"

Aegon nodded. "Sorry your Grace, but it seems he's built up quite a following. People, that want to protect him?"

"Is he a man?" You asked.

"No, a symbol," Aegon said it with almost awe in his voice. "Of hope and Justice."

Blackfyre? No… no no no!

You don't need more headaches!

Failure.

You are impressed that Egg managed to fail, but also are impressed.

Someone took the Blakfyre heraldry and turned it into a symbol of justice.

Someone has a sense of Humor.

--[X] O Brothel, Where Art Thou?: A funny thing has happened since the Restoration – many of the brothels in King's Landing have been in trouble, their proprietor missing and assets (in every sense of the word) left vulnerable. It's a bit distasteful and lowbrow, but it is the oldest profession in the world, and someone needs to do it. Diplomacy/Stewardship, DC 45. Reward: the Vaeltigar Trading Consortium steps in and gains some, erm…assets. (10,000 Dr) D100 => 94+10=104

You looked at the owner of Chatya's Brothel with a small shy smile. It wasn't that you weren't experienced with this sort of operation, it was just the investment needed.

And this was a steep investment. Though Incognito, you were nonetheless worried when you used the Veltigar name.

Chatya handed you a cup of warm, spiced wine, which you assumed was a Summer Island delicacy.

"You must understand there is a great deal of fear in the air…Master Veltigar. " You knew she knew your true identity, but humored you, for the sake of appearances. You were paying after all.

"I appreciate the level of discretion you are allowing me…It's quite freeing being Valarr Veltigar if only for a night." You said, allowing her to understand that this was just as much a political statement, as it was a business trip. "But as much as you've given me this moment of calm, I only ask, to consider joining the wider Veltigar Consortium."

"And Deny assets to the… other unsavory folks that wish to make a mockery of your organization."

A funny way to call the Seven Kingdoms? You actually smiled at that.

"I am merely asking if you would like the wider protection and safety that such an alliance brings. I care not for your day to day operations nor your employees, however I do care about the information they hear…and in doing so inform me." You noted.

"And what do I get out of this arrangement, besides safety and the ear of a king?" She said sarcastically.

You held your hands like a tent, your fingers tapping one another as if you had captured them all like a fly. "Some would say I'm making a poor decision, making investments where none exist. But we both know that Whores are not just for carnal pleasures."

"Indeed…As a Courtesan with the Ear of a King…I could do many things." She said, swirling the wine slightly.

"A Seventy-Five Twenty-Five split your way…for any and all information that comes grants a bonus." You said. "What do you say?"

"You are being far too generous." She said, "Done…"

"Done." You said drinking the wine. "Oh and one more thing, my master of whisper and his paramour, require the nicest room in the Brothel with no question asked?"

"For Free?" She said,

"A Discount mayhaps…I'm not here to rob you." You grinned.

Reward: The Brothels of King's Landing are now part of the Vaeltigar Trading Consortium. You have a feeling that this will help you greatly.

The rumor mill in King's Landing is expanded.

Gain an additional 50,000 Dragons per turn.

--[X]Rebuilng the Guard: There are only 4 members of the guard at this moment. It needs to be brought back to full strength before anything else. DC: 0 (FREE) D100 => 14+10=24

You did not expect this sort of… knights to serve you.

But then again, two civil wars tend to do that. Lower the usual suspects of good knights. Or just help.

--[X] Task them to Dany (takes Sisters in Scales action)

--[X]Detective Seaworth: Mathos Seaworth is a boy who knew the city, and while he isn't nearly as skilled as his father, he knows how to discover the crime that seeps beneath the surface. DC: 30 Reward: The City Watch gain its first true Detective. D100 => 36+10=46

Mathos Seaworth is a good man and true. You only hoped that he was as knowledgeable as his father.

Reward: New Actions Available.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

--[X]Mountian Breaker: Ser Gregor Clegane will be brought before the King, and face your Justice. Sandor will be taking him to the Capital personally. All he needs to do is hear your word. And gather some swords. DC: 40 Reward: Gregor Clegane is Arrested and now sits in a Black cell for his punishment. (500 DR) D100 => 96+10=106

You did not need to know what happened, only that Sandor Clegane had hauled his brother before you, and met the King's Justice.

You had heard some men call the battle between brothers, CleganeBowl… A stupid name for a an epic battle. The two men fought for hours, before Sandor won, pushing Gregor off the tower, into a very large pile of dung, and breaking one of Gregor's Legs. While the Maester was able to save the leg from infection, Gregor would never walk properly again.

He now waits in a cell. A cell that he will never leave.

Reward: Gregor is in your custody. Oberyn wishes to have his way with him.

New Action Available.

Rebuilding the Guard
Rebuilding the Guard:

You looked at Ser Barristian, and then to Jaime. "I haven't heard of half these men, much less know of their qualifications?"

Jaime frowned. "When Westeros has bled for as long as it has prior to your reign, the number of competent knights who are willing to join you are lessened, as they stand to gain lands, titles, and the like."

Barristian nodded. "Your Grace, with respect to the Lord Hand, he is right. Many of the potential candidates for joining the guard are men who have now become your bannermen, and ones who are loyal to a fault."

"But not everyone is willing to give up one of the Seven Kingdom's to serve you." Jaime said as he sat down.

"I know your honor Ser Barristian, but I must ask about Ser Mandon? Is he well?" You asked.

"Ser Mandon is still recovering from the wounds he gained at the Trident, but he is able to return to his duties." Barristian replied.

"I meant in his loyalties?" You asked. "No offense to Ser Jaime, but I'd rather not worry about having a sword in my back when I expect protection."

That made Jaime and Barristian share a glance, before Jaime shrugged. "He's fond of killing."

"Far to fond of it. Some would say he relishes in the fight more than most men." Barristian stated. "But he is loyal to his oaths to you."

"And as a knight?" You asked.

There was an eye roll from the Lord Commander. "He may his own ideas on how justice should be done. His own ideas for protecting women, but never ideas on what his duty to you."

Your eyes narrowed. "If I were to claim he was a rapist, would anyone be surprised?"

"Surprised?" Jaime asked. "Yes. he is dangerous, but only because no one knows what goes through his mind. He always hides his intentions. But he is not violent towards women, or anyone he isn't actively trying to kill. No one knows what the man thinks, and I think it makes him more dangerous than myself, or the Lord Commander."

You nodded. You would need to speak to Ser Mandon soon. But not now. "And you approve of some of these men?"

"Approve is not a word I would use lightly." Ser Barristian stated. "They are odd, radical, even poor choices due to politics, but our roll in protecting you is the same. You may not have Arthur Dayne in the guard. But your choice is all that matters, and we will obey no matter your choices."

The Kingsguard

Currently, there are four Kingsguard: Ser Jaime Lannister, the Hand of the King, Ser Arys Oakheart, Loyal and true, and a new friend of your wife, and quickly becoming her favorite of the Kingsguard that protect her and Daeron, The enigmatic and quiet, Ser Mandon Moore, a man whom not even the Gods know who is loyal to, and an injured but recovering Lord Commander Barristan Selmy. That leaves at least four places to fill, and you can reward valiant soldiers and allied kingdoms with positions here. You can appoint more than seven, but such an act will irk some traditionalists.

[ ] Harras Harlaw is one of those true rarities: an Ironborn knight, albeit one who keeps to the Drowned God. His appointment would forge closer ties with the Islands while only being somewhat controversial.

[ ] Beshka the Basilisk would be … a choice. A woman, of foreign birth, with no knighthood or ties to the Faith, and one of the youngest ever recruited. She's willing to take on just about any challenge you pitch at her, though. And the Faith can only get so mad at their new king, right? More than Destroying the Iron Throne could… right?

[ ] Brynden Tully is an able commander, a sharp wit, and a valourous knight. He is also in his fifties, and his brother the Lord Paramount still hopes to see him married off. However, Hoster Tully is not like Tywin Lannister and would accept the honor of having a relative on the Kingsguard without much fuss. (Requires a DC of 60)

[ ] Jon Connington was stripped of his lands and titles during the Rebellion, and has spent the last several years helping to raise your nephew. He wouldn't mind being restored to his lands and title (as his cousin Ronnet is, in his words, "a snivelling little shit") but he would also be pleased and proud to remain in King's Landing and serve your family once more.

[ ] Jorah Mormont has served as your acting Master of Whispers in the past, and did so on Ned Stark's informal small council in the North for years, but he's also no slouch with a sword and would be honored to serve (you also get the powerful impression he wouldn't mind doing what his father did to him, and making Maege Mormont someone else's problem).

[ ] Jon Snow is about the last name you expected to have presented to you: Ned Stark's infamous bastard. Younger than every other name put forward at 14, Lord Eddard nonetheless praises the boy's martial talents, and would not mind seeing the boy well taken care of here. In addition to his youth, he's not a knight or a man of the Faith, but not many Northmen are. There is also a very interesting conundrum that you feel whenever you hear the name. You can't help but feel… a familiar feeling, a feeling you haven't felt since Rhaegar was still alive.

[ ] Asher Forrester showed promise when he marched south with his father and brother, and you have noticed in the past few days he has struck up an odd rapport with Beshka. House Forrester is not among the greater families of the North, but the gesture would be noticed. When pressed, Lord Forrester mentioned there might be an impolitic lover waiting for him back in the North, and placing Asher here would do him (and Lord Stark) a favour.

[ ] Imry Florent is a young goodbrother of Lord Stannis, a proud knight and respectable warrior, and possessed of the least prominent ears on a Florent you've ever seen. His appointment would be seen as a gesture of goodfaith to the Reacher lords that stood with you, and to Lord Stannis, who does not speak ill of Ser Imry.

[ ] Loras Tyrell is quite young, and depending on when he arrived to take his oaths would beat out Ser Jaime's record as the youngest recruited. He is known as being gifted with swords (this is occasionally said with knowing smirks, which you don't get) and has had a haunted look ever since he surrendered to your forces at Storm's End. Lord Mace recommended him personally, and every time you ask for more time, there is a glint in his eyes that makes you feel concerned.

[ ] Robar Royce is the second son of Bronze Yohn Royce, a good tourney warrior and a skilled swordsman who did not have a chance to fight in the Restoration. Quiet but kind, his demeanour is a stark difference from his rough-hewn appearance and familial reputation. His appointment would be seen as a conciliatory gesture to the Vale.

[ ] Brienne of Tarth is a staggeringly tall young woman, and looks like she could beat up Ser Jaime at just seventeen. Her father once hoped that you might consider marrying her, and now seems to hope you might consider trusting her with your life. The former was, frankly, out of the question. The latter, though … you've seen her move with a sword, and it suggests real skill. Still, she's a woman, and unknighted, and the Faith (and some traditionalists) may get grouchy. The question is, how much you actually care.

Interlude: A Promise Kept
Interlude: A Promise Kept

Dragonstone was not as you remembered it, in either your dreams or in your fading memories, which drifted from clear to foggy with each passing day. There was nothing about the place you once called a home in which you remembered.

The many small villages of the island were gone, reduced, not only to ashes but consolidated after the great war and genocide that Robert attempted to commit on the island and its inhabitants. The Westerosi Valyrians as some of the more patriotic and protective of those survivors who had taken the island with Aegon and Stannis called themselves had rebuilt a central village near the port, rebuilding the town that had once been the heart of commerce of the island, now called Dragonport, because of course it was. It had another name, a long time ago, in the old tongue of Valyria, but you did not know it. No one did.

But from the air, as you soured above the island on the Dragon, your Dragon, Ebron, you felt the weight of your past slowly bring you down. To the ground and to the place that held one of the worst memories of your life.

It took less than a heartbeat for Erbion to understand what you wanted, as he began to glide, first past the Dragonmount, where the smell of sulfur and smoke mixed with the sea air, and you found yourself invigorated by the smell.

Small wonder that Aegon the first loved to fly above the Mountian, and remain here on Dragonstone.

But your thoughts ended as you stopped and Ebrion landed on the mount near the castle, lowering his head to allow you to safely get off his back, the satchel on your side waving around in the wind, as your eyes wandered, first to the Keep then to the ground you were soon to be walking on. You clambered down from his wing, instead of by his neck as you realized who was waiting for you at the castle's entrance. The Black Dragon glass was smooth, almost like Glass, and you could see your reflection The Maester of the Castle, Cressan.

He was a greying man, one of a great deal of age and wisdom, but he was also a fit one, having no hunch or bend in his back, as well as standing tall to greet you when others would have bowed their heads.

"Your Grace," He bowed his head as you approched, making you confused for a brief moment before the old man gazed at the great beast that began to fly away. "As if I need more proof to be fearful of the Gods Wrath." He stated as he took a breath.

"He's friendly, as long as he's fed, and he's allowed to fly wherever he wants." You replied. You hadn't heard any reports of any incidents involving any of the dragons. So you were happy with that.

"I must ask Maester. Did Lord Stannis care for-" You started but the Maester stopped, placing a hand on your shoulder.

"He did. He saw fit to protect her body from the looters and the traitors. He laid her to rest in the Crypts." He replied.

A moment passed, as you realized you needed to get Lord Stannis something for that kindness. It must have caused him no small part of anger when news reached Robert, who must have raged that her body was treated with respect. When so many other members of your family did not seem to get the same treatment.

You paused to remember the fate of the bodies of Rhaenys and the boy whom for many years you thought was Aegon. Their bodies, what little left, were tossed into the Blackwater bay to feed the fish, and to be forgotten about by the order of Robert.

Rhaenys body was found by Prince Oberyn, when it washed ashore on the Blackwater Rush when he retrieved the body of his sister. Her cat Balerion had been standing by the body, protecting it from the animals and the carrion that had sought to eat her. You learned from the Red Viper that he felt as if he died that day before he found his daughters, and in the end, found you and Dany.

You walked past the door. "I'll find her myself."

"My King, you-" Cressan protested.

"I know this castle Maester." You whispered. "Let me find it."

You were going to hear the protests, but you decided to descend into the Castle alone. You needed this.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You had found her tomb at sunset.

You had not gotten lost, at least not without purpose. You had walked past numerous members of the family that were interred here in the Crypts of Dragonstone. Aemon the Dragon Knight, Baelor Breakspear. Even the ashes of the Aegon the Vth were interred here, instead of being left at Summerhall, with the rest of those who had died there.

Legends in their own right, but none of them were important. Not to you, not to anyone else alive, save historians.

But here, at this small place before, near the heart of the Volcano, whose heat you could feel from the walls and the floor, you stood before your mother.

You wanted to be alone here. With the dead and the gone. To allow yourself to cry.

"Viserys." A voice spoke, and your eyes immediately jumped out of your skull, as you stood up, preparing to defend yourself!

"Who goes there?!" You screamed, and your voice echoed through the crypts as the sound dissipated.

Your heart thumped and you thought you were alone.

It seems mother had another idea. She was standing before you, looking the same as your memories. She was wearing a red dress, clean and warm. Her silver hair was ashen and white, with braids on the back, going down a little way. Her crown, the most defining feature of her memory, was missing.

"Mother." You sounded like a child again, for a brief moment before falling to your knees, the tears leaking from your eyes as you couldn't bear to stand, looking at her. "I- I'm sorry"

"Shh… Hush my little dragon." Her voice was a soothing whisper as she knelt down next to you. "There is nothing you need to be sorry about. Nothing at all."

"Your dead." You sobbed. "You-" You didn't want to believe that she was here. The weight on your chest felt impossible to carry.

"You think that just because I was gone, doesn't mean i wasn't with you?" She asked.

"I wasn't… strong enough." You said. "If I was-"

"You were strong enough Viserys. You were always strong enough. Even without me." She said as her finger lifted up your chin to face you. "You had the strength to move on. To keep moving forward when others would have given up. Even your brother, even your sister." She said.

"That-"

"It may be hard to see, but it is true. You made your choices. You made them, and remained alive, and prospered." Finally, the words you had waited nearly 15 years finally left her mouth. "I'm proud of you Viserys." She whispered.

She was dead. Your mother was dead and had been dead for years. She was a ghost, a spirit, some mad figment of your imagination that has taken form.

But her cold embrace, even as a shadow, was exactly the same as you remembered, even after all these years alone. Warm, comforting, and beautiful.

And you set her crown down. You were alone.

But also not.

You would never be alone again.

"Remember my little Dragon. I will always be with you."

  • [X] Plan: Magnificent Nine
-[X] Harras Harlaw is one of those true rarities: an Ironborn knight, albeit one who keeps to the Drowned God. His appointment would forge closer ties with the Islands while only being somewhat controversial.
-[X] Brynden Tully is an able commander, a sharp wit, and a valourous knight. He is also in his fifties, and his brother the Lord Paramount still hopes to see him married off. However, Hoster Tully is not like Tywin Lannister and would accept the honor of having a relative on the Kingsguard without much fuss. (Requires a DC of 60)
-[X] Jon Connington was stripped of his lands and titles during the Rebellion, and has spent the last several years helping to raise your nephew. He wouldn't mind being restored to his lands and title (as his cousin Ronnet is, in his words, "a snivelling little shit") but he would also be pleased and proud to remain in King's Landing and serve your family once more.
-[X] Asher Forrester showed promise when he marched south with his father and brother, and you have noticed in the past few days he has struck up an odd rapport with Beshka. House Forrester is not among the greater families of the North, but the gesture would be noticed. When pressed, Lord Forrester mentioned there might be an impolitic lover waiting for him back in the North, and placing Asher here would do him (and Lord Stark) a favour.
-[X] Imry Florent is a young goodbrother of Lord Stannis, a proud knight and respectable warrior, and possessed of the least prominent ears on a Florent you've ever seen. His appointment would be seen as a gesture of goodfaith to the Reacher lords that stood with you, and to Lord Stannis, who does not speak ill of Ser Imry.
-[X] Robar Royce is the second son of Bronze Yohn Royce, a good tourney warrior and a skilled swordsman who did not have a chance to fight in the Restoration. Quiet but kind, his demeanour is a stark difference from his rough-hewn appearance and familial reputation. His appointment would be seen as a conciliatory gesture to the Vale.

-[X] Beshka the Basilisk would be … a choice. A woman, of foreign birth, with no knighthood or ties to the Faith, and one of the youngest ever recruited. She's willing to take on just about any challenge you pitch at her, though. And the Faith can only get so mad at their new king, right? More than Destroying the Iron Throne could… right?

-[X] Loras Tyrell is quite young, and depending on when he arrived to take his oaths would beat out Ser Jaime's record as the youngest recruited.

-[X] Brienne of Tarth is a staggeringly tall young woman, and looks like she could beat up Ser Jaime at just seventeen.
