To Be a Hero is once again a Thankless Job. But between good pay, government-mandated operating costs and a lifetime of getting something right...its getting better.
Now with something resembling stability you can now work...the Climb to the Top of the World.
And keep all the Supervillains from dragging you down with them.
In time, hero's often let themselves revolve around the world...not the world revolving around them.
To allow that to happen is dumb and stupid.
And One of the first Lessons of The Hero Agency is…

It doesn't...no matter how strong or how powerful it is...you are not that special...You are apart of a wider society...its the fact we give domestic trust and stability that allows you grow up without the fear of being mugged everyday, so Yu...next time you bitch about my training...I will make sure you walk away with something broken." He said calmly as you looked at your other trainer.
Logan's Wife, Sarah was trying to feed Taylor and EVE. " Logan, can you find Anna she slithered off again."
"Its like she hates not looking human...And Yu...this conversation isn't over, you can't showboat shit on the Job...or brag about it on Social Media...or bitch about it to your friends at school, you made a commitment when you and your parents asked for me to train you control of your mind and body. And assist you on your Heroism Journey." He said not even breaking the stride of the conversation.
"All you did was bring me to work at a farm at least 5 times a month, and have me move cows goats and sheep for hours on end." You said looking at the produce that made your rather lavish looking meal.
"And do you know why we are forced to do this?" He said as he now went under the table for a moment.
You used the quiet for a second and looked at Sarah. "I already know but back me up?"
"I have these two to deal with...and one more thinking now is a good time to play hide and seek, I have no energy today Yu...admit it to him and he will understand. Because he already knows." Sarah said, trying to keep her shadow utterly still while making faces to distract Taylor from...making a mess.

And it wasn't just Taylor...Anna was hell to deal with.
Maybe that was the reason they brought you on...to help them deal with this all.
At least Eva was calm most of the time.
"Because its the only way to safely train my dexterity while being giant?" You said.
"Because the facilities to train like that...don't exist…" Logan said. "And its expensive to get the guy to accept that...sure the little kickback will help me and you...but the showboating...has to not be something I have to yell at you for...in the line of duty people could die...because you hold too tightly. And I don't want that on my concise and neither do you." He continued.
"I know…"You said.
"You don't and these habits have to stop if your going to be successful." He said. "No Anna, stop that."
"Sometimes heroism is about being flashy...look at All-Might?" You said.
"He didn't showboat, he had mastery and control and enough foresight to know how to save people down to a science...and the situations arn't all going to be like that, you will probably need to kill someone to make that stay saved?" Logan said.
"Logan, don't be talking about Death at the table, the possibility exists but a hero's first priority is the Citizen's safety and the incapacitation of the threat, not an elimination." Sarah said.
"Yes dear...But know that it's always a possibility, a rather slim one at that." You said.
"Found you you little, its broccoli …" He said holding what looked like a pile of sludge "You like broccoli Anna."
"Blaaa." Anna said as he seemed to frown. "You will eat the broccoli and like it, just like Eva."
Sarah laughed. "Come on Logan, is it just your daughter? She is mostly harmless." She said finally cleaning up the other two children.
"Easy for your to say you're hyper flexible in holding them both down." He said. "Yu can make Anna solid she's being fussy again."
"You really need me to play the fool for your benefit?" You said.
"That's part of the reason you're here...as well as training, come on we can't exactly hold them down properly." Logan said.
"I'm an over glorified babysitter for children." You said.
He sighed. "Think of it as training for when you deal with children...because by god you're going to need it."
"Oh...great...now I have to make a fool of myself." You said.
You then stuck out your tongue, puffed your cheeks. And made a silly face and put your hands above your head.
The desired effect was had as Anna stopped being a pile of sludge and became a normal looking two year old laughing at your stupid face.
"Gotcha…" Logan said as Anna looked at her dad and the Broc.
She knew she had been defeated and took the green food in dignifully or as with as much dignity as a two year old can have with the fact she had only one way out. By eating, it would make her feel better.
"Alright...you can stop being silly now." He said. "I'm doing the dishes and Yu."
You froze up. "Yes sir…"
"Take the nest two days off and call your parents, tell them you are making good progress, the UA Academy Exams are coming up, so I'm going to be working seasonally with full benefits. And you deserve some time to yourself."

"Logan...are you pretending to Meditate to work on your monologues?" Sarah said as you looked around your office and stretched your neck as you got off your meditation mat and rolled it up.
"I wasn't...so you can't say that." You said as you walked out and looked for your shirt.
For her part Sarah hadn't moved that much from where you expected her to be.
With a practiced step you moved behind her and lifted up her glasses as you covered her eyes. "And you know that its one of the reasons you love me."
"Logan...stop, you said you were going to be running around half an hour ago, there have been sightings of Vigilantes for a week, you said you were going to deal with it." She said as she moved your hands off her face.
"I said I would and I'm going to be going out soon, so why are you on my case again? A few minute delay on Vigilante searching never hurt anyone terribly…" Alright that wasn't exactly true but not in Taris proper, you've been running around keeping an eye on things for months now.
But no one's died or lost a limb because of you yet and you're going to keep that record as long as possible.
"You said you'd keep clean since you dismantled that Kill team years ago...and now you're going to keep it. Or else." She said. "Last thing we need is Hero Society giving us a reason to go quiet again."
"Hey we didn't make a splash on anyone's radar since we sold the Robot to the Government for Japanese citizenship." You said noting the rather quiet amount of time you and Sarah have been having ever since you returned to Japan after burning down the Home of your family.
"The fact you still openly bragged to Enji about it still makes you seem like a dick. And it caused that Anti-Immigration Riot." She said.
"Oh come on, they were paid to cause a mess by All for One. Its Obvious." You said not even looking at her back.
She rolled her eyes. "Logan, just because 7 different robberies, 3 Assasinations, a rise in certain street drugs happened at about the same time does not mean All for One orchestrated it to bandwagon people on an Anti- Forgine Hero tried."
She then stopped for a moment and sighed. "One of these days...you're going to have to cool off a bit, you have kids to pick up later and paperwork to finish."
"I know…" You said making a face and then smiling. "You need to get out more, you only patrol two days a week."
"Two days a week are enough Logan." She said as she went back to what she was doing. "Besides, I have the least glamorous Job of paperwork and White Collar crime specialist. It's all on the card."

"You mean good for the PR we barely have because we're overshadowed by a dozen high ranking Hero's with their own Big Organizations." She said turning around to look at you.

"Alright...time to get the sights and sounds from the top." You said out loud as you finished your jog around the main perimeter of the Prefecture and quietly mused that once again you needed to hit the high ground of the Station to get any progress.
Now normally its a normal and sensible thing to do BUT…
It makes you predictable.
And being predictable at this point in your life, especially with All For One in the Shadows of Japan is something you rarely want to deal with.
Afterall if a Hero like Endeavor got his attention, he'd go after the family unit and cause a mess.
A Mess you didn't really have the strength to think of a solution for.
And you had to move and see it all now.

And you knew far to many things that were beneath the water of the world. Namely because you were born to deal with them...even if they wanted you to go off and CAUSE problems and difficulties for the entire world at large.
You may be a harsh man, but you weren't a supervillain like your parents, you had standards and dignity...unlike them.
And Unlike a vast Majority of People...you were not a coward when it came to criticism of society at large.
Society needed a certain amount of strife to rise above the great stagnation of the world proper...brought about by security.
Security indeed breeds complacency and you've made it your mission as a teacher to prevent the worst of it, namely arrogance.
By GOD...some of these people were arrogent.

"Hey...how long have you been stomping around with that green thumb of yours anyway?" The Hero said calmly as he hung upside down from a lamp light.
You lifted your scarf and sighed. "I was just doing my civic duty sir."
He flipped down and landed on his feet as you noticed the sheer power in his legs. The man...no.
You wern't dealing with the average hero of Japan…This one didn't skip leg day.
Like really those legs looked well maintained. With the ability to run several miles, choke you out while kicking wood at the same time into several splinters. Such a man was up their physically with the prime of Humanity of the past, an Olympian they called them.
"Yeah...he was uhh running, and wasn't personally invested in hurting you, so by law, you were doing extrajudicial vigilantism. I mean, its kinda obvious." He said.
"What are you going to arrest him for? Then me?" You said feeling the sheer weight of your choices start to bare down on you.
"I mean...by law I'm required to...but given that the person is likely going to be taken away. And I arrived on the scene to apprehend him." He said. "You were here as a witness."
Was...he sticking his neck out for you?
Why the HELL would anyone sane do that?
"How did you...find me?" You said.
"You smell awfully like plants...all I had to do was follow the smell." He said.
"So...You're not going to let me go are you?" You said knowing exactly where this was going to go.
"Yeah...you and I are going to have to have a talk." Azurewing said.

"Your a drifter, never stay in one place for very long...sort of guy that THINKS the world is hunting him." He said.
"You don't know me at all...why are you getting so personal." He said.
"Because you're one of about four types of people that exist in that sort of mindset. One, You're someone who activated your quirk and may have killed someone and are doing this out of guilt. Two...You ran away from a rough home to be a hero plain and simple to get back at the abusive people that tried to break you. Three, you ran afoul of a Powerful Organization and saw shit that scared the shit out of you." He said listing off things.
"Or, Four...you pissed off something close to All for One and are being hunted." He finished. "So witch is it?"
"Can I say its an unfortunate situation that involves all four of those." you said sarcastically.
"Yeah...oh well, you can talk or run kid...but if you run I'm going to chase you." He said wiping his nose and checking the criminal you tied up.
"Well good luck trying to catch me." you said as you scratched your bark covered mask.
"I have no doubt its gonna be a hell of a chase." He said.

Shinji for his part took the hint and followed you as you sat down.
"Why the hell are you even doing this?" It was a sort of question that was both rhetorical and genuine at the same time. The sort of question that everyone wanted to actually answer.
He was quiet as you failed to get a really good look at his face under the scarf and the heavy jacket. "I help people, isn't that enough of a reason?"
You shrugged as the thought went through your head in a clear and notable way and then you went to another more obvious answer. "Not a good enough one for the courts. I mean we'll likely let you off on a misdemeanor if this was your first run, and knowing you it isn't but they don't need to know that."
He scoffed. "You enjoy bucking authority don't you?"
"Due process has its place, kid...but sometimes you need to move the wheel of Justice on your own time to make it work. I've been in your boots long enough to simply let something off when it's not worth it." You said not even trying to find out what his face looked like at this point.
He seemed in part relieved and still slightly on edge. "I'm...doing this for entirely personal reasons."
So he was finally going to give you an answer. "What personal reasons would you have in being a vigilante?"
"Guilt…" He said.
Wait...guilt...he wasn't one of those...quirk using criminals who grew a conscience after a dark heinous act? The ones that think their unstoppable and righteous but ruined everything in a single day?

"I was...in the MLA's Ecoterrorist department." He said.
"The Meta Liberation Army? I thought they were driven into Cells after Destro committed suicide?"
"Hence the Eco Terrorisim department...I've been trying to hunt them down ever since they abandoned me in Mt. Fuji operation about 3 years ago? Pieces of a HOUSE started falling form the sky and they left me for dead...and in doing so I realized how much of an idiot I was and ruined so many lives so guilt." He said.
Wait...that might have been...wait, Yu lived in the country and destroyed her house at least 4 times...and-.
Heh...well this is interesting.
"Oh...well I wish you good luck in actually finding and dismantling them?" You said standing up.
"Your not going to arrest me...or even make me you know file a report or turn myself in?" He said.
"Not how I operate...I let people make their own mistakes and learn, plus I'm not going to stop a man from getting revenge on parents who ruined their life for cold and arbitrary reasons." You said.

That made Shinji look in surprise. "Your going to let me go...to continue some mad quest to fight a terror group with my Arbor powers because I see it as the right thing to do?"
"Who am I to get in the way of a man's desire for justice and or revenge. This is your business not mine. Though as a precaution-" You then stopped and handed him a card.

Shinji looked at the card and put it in a wallet. "Azurewing? Why are you even doing this? This goes against Hero Society. And your completely okay with it."
"Kid when I was your age I've already been to five countries, killed at least 30 people for the government and won and lost a fortune in Platinum ore...what you're doing isn't anything special in my eyes. Good Luck though." You said.
Then you were gone, tired and knowing that somehow that kid was going to turn out alright.
You just knew it.

"Ba." A small black puddle said as you looked around the floor. Ah there she is?

"I don't have time for this Anna, get back to normal." You said not even looking as she then put hands on the couch to both pull herself up and reform herself. At least she remembered to keep her jamies on when reforming.
Once was funny, twice was hilarious and three times was just embarrassing photo blackmail.
You then put her on top of you and looked at her. "Yeah dads home early."
She sneezed a bit and then laid on top of you. "Hey don't get too cozy, don't want to scrape you off the uniform again."

Damnit, Yu...clean up after yourself…God...do you still knows who pays for your food. Maybe you should force her to worry about house work now and again, it keeps on dealing with her physical training, but that sort of life skill is invaluable.
"I wasn't going to say anything at all when it came to that." He said not even looking up from his drink.
"Well why the hell are you here anyway?" You said. He knocked on the door, asked to see you and well, so far hasn't given you an explanation. "I doubt this is a social call given my previous runnings with everything. My guess your here to evaluate my performance as of late?"
"No..I'm merely here to ask about long term technological movement in the last say...three months, certain technologies are moving, or rather the parts for them are moving to and from the warehouses of the City on company trucks , we think an international cartel in the Tech Trade is slowly forming...with dire implications." He said, handing a small file.
You skimmed it and handed it back. "Short term Tech Cartels happen all the time, especially to get shit out of sight of the Super Villains."
"This one looks like it's in for the long haul." He said.
"Hmm, so it's more than likely going to be running around trying to make a big win on the Space boom or bust trying." You said.
"That was my first guess." He said calmly.
"Then why worry if they start pulling trust violations and form a monopoly to exploit shit we're going to send someone in and do the digging, like we always do." You said calmly as Sir Nighteye prepared to leave.
"All I know is that this is going to be a mess if we dig deeper." He said.
"And I know we are...so get on with it, you know I can't keep running around like that with all the things I have." You said.
