Chapter 9: Playing with the Big Boys
-=-=-=-=-=-

When one is in trouble, one must find the most optimal solution that will result in the least amount of harm to oneself possible. That is just common sense, and that is just a no brainer. So knowing now that Bulkhead isn't alone in hunting this Relic and is in fact partnered up with WHEELJACK of all bots, means that something has changed a lot back with the autobots. I doubt Optimus would let Ratchet go find a relic alone, whatever is happening back there, I can only assume that the Autobots got an increase in numbers.

[ Emotional Processor Levels Rising ]
[ Raising Emotional Dampeners ]
[ Dampener Output raised to 70% ]

But anyway, back to my solution. After raising my dampeners so I don't panic, I decided to do the smart thing... and throw the relic container at Wheeljack like it was a football sized explosive and turned around to run away like hell. Turns out it was the correct thing to do as the exchange behind me explained everything.

"It threw a bomb!" I heard Wheeljack say followed by the sound of a sword being drawn.

"Jackie wait no that's the RELIC!" Pure panic emanated from the green wrecker as Bulkhead warned Wheeljack from destroying the container that held nothing inside it.

Before they realize the ruse, I need to get clear YESTERDAY. I may have Silas' fighting styles saved into my data drives, but I am nowhere near as experienced as he is yet. I don't think I can reliably take on a single autobot, much less two at the same time, and hell of a lot less with one of the two autobots being fragging WHEELJACK.

So I ran to a nearby rock and used it as a stepping stone to jump from it. Transforming into my alt-form the Hind in mid-air, all the while I make sure the box was held close to the underside of my helicopter mode. Thankfully I don't see any insecticons nearby- aaand just as I thought that I heard that buzzing noise. Turning my chin mounted camera around wildly, I attempted to find the insecticon squad I- OH COME ON!

My camera found them, and I initially thought it would just be three insecticons including Hardshell. But nope, there was six insecticons, and guess what? Four of them split off to attack the Autobots who were turning to look at me, ah, they must have figured out that I had the Tox-En in my servos. But two insecticons decided to head STRAIGHT for me, is this karma for taking the insecticon corpses and one stasis fried insecticon? I can't help but feel this is karma of some kind.

Regardless, I have a new objective. Before I can escape, I'll need to fight these two insecticons. If I can surprise them with my firepower, then I think I can get the drop on one like I did with that insecticon earlier. But I'd have to fight the other one. Though before I do so, I should get as far away as possible from the autobots lest my cover gets blown. I don't want any surviving insecticon to report back to Megatron on an Optimus look alike after all.

Taking stock on their distance from me, I figured I can fly for a little while longer before I need to turn to face them. In the meantime, I began descending, picking up speed as I did so to get into a group of rock formations. My goal for the first part is to see if I can lose them, if I can and get away far enough I can then open up my own groundbridge and get the hell out. But I'm not betting on escaping just yet.

I dove through the rock formations and made a few sharp angled turns, it is probably just a perk of being a cybertronian but I have a lot more agility than I thought despite being a Hind. Those things are most famous for being more like boats with rotors and a lot of guns. Regardless, I could still hear the noise of those mechanical bug wings vibrating behind me and by the steady rising it means they are getting closer.

Humming to myself, I think this is far enough from the autobots and the other insecticons. So I just turned my camera to look behind me, I see the insecticons were still there and it looks like they are preparing to fire. With that in mind, I'm taking my shot first!

In my hind form I swerved left before turning to face the insecticons, I don't know if they are surprised by my actions but I hope they hesitate once I fire THESE! Thermo Rocket pods locked on and firing from their pods on my wings, I fired a total of four for each of them and I can tell by their sudden break off that they decided to try and take care of the incoming homing rockets. Yeah, you think I'm gonna let you have an easy time doing so?

Choosing the beetle to my right, I gave chase and followed behind my rockets while firing my chin mounted blaster repeater turret, yellow blaster bolts flew through the air in rapid fire as I attempted to shoot down the insecticon while he was busy dodging my rockets. However with the combination of weapons fire from me and my four active rockets chasing the insecticon, he was too distracted to dodge well and was struck by two rockets after dodging the first two. That's checkmate for you buddy, I thought to myself as I watch the insecticon make a crash landing and followed after it.

Taking it out is my top priority so I'll just fight the other one by itself, so no hard feelings bug boy. I fired all my weapons at the still crashing insecticon and was rewarded with seeing it screech as holes were blown into it, dying as it crashed into the ground in near pieces. Though just before I could turn around, a red blaster bolt flew past me and I immediately swerved around as fast as I could, seeing the insecticon with what seems to be scratches over his form. He must have let the rockets crash into a rock beside him or something if the faint scorch and scratches were any indicator.

However luck wasn't on my side this time, I got hit by one of its blaster bolts to my tail rotors, so now I was spinning out of control and I had to make a crash landing of my own. This is terrifying! Words cannot express how scary it is spinning like this without any control of your flight path. All I can do now is focus and attempt to at least fire off another salvo of thermo rockets in order to distract the bug.

Targeting isn't great as a spinning weapons platform but I fired anyway, hoping to any higher power that the rockets will distract the insecticon from finishing me off while I'm still in the air. I used my camera and spun it the opposite way I was spinning in order to get an idea of where I was landing. It surprisingly worked and I was about to crash onto a relatively flat land and just before I landed, I quickly transformed as I didn't forget about the Tox-En I was carrying. I did NOT want to break the container while it is attached to me.

So I transformed and cradled the box before crashing into ground back first. Thank the higher powers for my currently offline pain receptors, my HUD though in return seemed to pull up a window showcasing the damages to my body. I'm surprised I didn't take more damage, I got away from that with light damages to my left arm and my right leg. Cybertronian durability for the win I guess?

Quickly remembering I wasn't alone right now, I looked up just as blaster fire started peppering my location. Though when I looked up, the insecticon stopped firing for a brief moment as it stared at my faceplate which was undoubtedly 'Optimus Prime' of all bots with a flying alt mode.

I took ruthless advantage of the lull in blaster fire in order to put the box on my back and transformed my servos into my yellow path blasters firing back as I retreated backwards a few steps. The thermo rocket pods were on my hip skirts and I fired two more homing rockets at the insecticon who decided to dive down while taking potshots at me. Now is the time for the true test I suppose, Silas boasted that this chassis possesses all of Optimus' Strengths, Speed, and Firepower. I've tested the firepower and I've tested the speed, now it's time for the strength.

Regardless, I continued laying down fire towards the insecticon who pulled up before hitting the ground, charging towards me firing his own blaster at me. In a bout of stupidity, and in the heat of the moment, I charged forwards switching my right path blaster for my regular servo while continuing to fire my left and only path blaster at the rapidly approaching bug.

He decided to transform midway and let out a screech before throwing a fist forward, in response I pulled back my own right servo and threw it forward into his own fist. Silas you may be an ass but I dearly hope your comment rings true.

Metal met metal as our fists collided, creating a small shockwave that cracked the ground beneath us and disturbed some rocks nearby. Neither of us moved an inch, and I can't believe I'm saying this. But thank you Silas you bastard.

With that confirmation and mental thank you to the megalomaniac, I saw the the insecticon screech at me before raising his other servo up to try and hammer fist me. Alright big boy, let's dance!

I jump back and let the bug's servo slam into the ground, he looked up just as I spun around to give him a particularly fierce kick right into his mouth. Launching his head back and making him fly off his pedes for a few meters, I slammed my foot down and charged the insecticon as he recovered before screeching at me again.

We met fist for fist a few times, my HUD gave me updates on damages to my armor plating while I wailed on this bug. I however noticed the smaller claws getting ready to slash at me, so I ducked under one of the insecticon's punches and gave him an uppercut to his torso with my right and slashed his smaller claws with my transformed left. He retaliated by grappling my waist and giving me a bear hug that caused my HUD to pull up a warning on the crushing force behind it.

Thankfully though my arms were free and I raised them above my helm and slammed them down onto his helm, causing him to let go of me and reel back with a pained screech holding his helm in his servos. This gave me my opportunity, I lunged forwards and grasped his left shoulder with my left servo and harshly pulled, which with his current distraction caused him to uncontrollably fall forward as I spun around him.

The insecticon instinctively threw his servos forward to stop his fall just as I got behind him with my right servo turning into my blade that I raised up to my optics before thrusting it violently at that little bit of space I can see connecting his arm to his torso. He let out a screech as his left shoulder was impaled, and let out angered hisses and shrieks as I pulled my blade out to pierce that shoulder again. Not good, I intended to rip his arm off.

So in order to prevent him from recovering, I quickly shifted my right back into a servo before I slugged the insecticon across his faceplate with the following fist. Actually sending him back to the floor, I took advantage of this by letting go with my left, changing it into a blade before stabbing the bug through his shoulder again. Except this time I violently pulled him up and got up close and personal to stab my left blade under his shoulder.

Shrieking in what I can only assume is pain and anger, the insecticon's right servo landed on top of my helm and I could actually feel him trying to get a grip. Not so fast big boy, I ripped out my left blade and stabbed that shoulder area again, except this time I twisted my body and shoulder checked with my right side. In that movement I slid the blade out of the insecticon's shoulder and out of his grasp. I watched as the bug staggered back looking a lot more sluggish and figured that I can end him now.

Running up to the decepticon, I identified the weakest point I could reach and stabbed my left blade forwards and into the open maw of the insecticon. Oh? It still seems to be fighting back as it tried to reach me with his right servo, in retaliation I pulled back my blade from his now hanging jaw and changed it into a servo that proceeded to grapple with his hand. Only this time I decided to cut out the middle bot entirely. I raised a pede to the torso of the insecticon before raising my newly formed right blade and then swung it down, violently dismembering the insecticon.

Energon dripped onto the floor as I threw away the limb before ending it by stabbing the insecticon in the neck and spinning around to decapitate the decepticon. The bug con's helm landed a few meters away with the visor slowly dimming in light.

...

I look down at my work, that of a dismembered and decapitated insecticon before I turned away and checked my alt-form's availability. Which, thankfully during that fight it had regenerated enough that I could safely transform. I checked my back to see if the box was dislodged or if it was damaged, though judging by me not feeling any weakness right now, and that I can feel the box. I think it is safe to say that the Tox-En is still there.

Turning away I looked towards the direction of where I knew Bulkhead, Wheeljack, and Hardshell was and just before I opened a groundbridge and stepped through to return to the Harbinger.

Quickly shutting the groundbridge behind me, I let up on the dampener and nearly lurched at the feeling of revulsion that followed when I thought of how I took care of those three insecticons. Those weren't just fights, those were executions. Like... like squashing a bug. Especially with how I took down the third one.

Standing up straight I looked up into the sky and thought about how my feelings about this will not do me well here. Especially since I'm still considered a hostile with the Autobots and Decepticons, if anything I'll have to continue on being so... ruthless when it comes to combat to ensure my own safety.

After all, I don't really have anyone to back me up.

I vent out a sigh as I checked the nearby console to see if I can take a look at what the Decepticons were do-ing? They sent six parties. They sent SIX instead of FOUR, are there MORE relics?! I quickly checked the locations to see if I am familiar with any of them.

Four out of Six are familiar, the Apex Armor in the Antarctic, the Phase Shifter in New York, the Resonance Blaster somewhere in Oregon apparently, and the Tox-En which I just got from somewhere in Brazil. Two of them I clearly don't know, one is smackdab in the center of Australia, and the other is up north in Russia.

Knowing this however, an uncomfortable feeling started to weigh on me. Do I make an attempt for one of those two as well? Essentially announcing to the Autobots that I got myself a groundbridge, or do I pass them up and potentially hand over those relics to the Decepticons?

I quickly think as I blasted myself with the energon repair ray. There is merit to keeping my capabilities secret, but with Bulkhead and Wheeljack seeing me in Brazil, they may start to suspect that I am getting around to other countries far too quickly for being by myself.

Bah! I think I've already announced my mobility to them already, and the Decepticons still think I'm Optimus so they'd not bat an optic over me having a groundbridge. Right, I place the Tox-En on top of a nearby table and made it look inconspicuous. Before grabbing a metal disc with the decepticon logo on one side and an autobot logo on the other, I decided to make it out of boredom during my time trying to get this ship's systems running.

"Autobot for Australia, Decepticon for Russia." I say out loud in my soft femme voice, I'm still getting used to that and flipped the coin. Catching it mid air and slapping it onto the table I looked and saw... Decepticon.

"Welp, Russia it is then. I'll be right at home with my Hind form." I comment with a bit of a laugh before turning to walk out while opening a groundbridge a short flight away from the location. I can only hope that if the relic is still there, then the bots and cons were still fighting for it.

Entering the bridge and exiting out, I was bombarded with the cold winds. Ok so that's how cybertronians feel when they feel cold huh? It's almost like when humans feel cold. Ah wait focus me, don't get distracted. Now, where's the location again?

My HUD pulled up a map of the surrounding area and the location the decepticons sent their force to was... ah ok, East. I nodded at that and transformed into my hind form before taking to the skies, heading straight for where hopefully conflict was. Judging by the explosions I see in the distance, they were still fightiiiing- that's the power couple.

If my optics are not deceiving me then that is Ironhide and Chromia, and they are fighting- Oh what the, that's Blackout and- hold on, is that Blitzwing?! Damn those two look good. Oh wait, hell nah am I fighting them! I'm thinking of heading to Australia instead. I'm not fighting four seasoned fighters at once... then again I could just sneak in and find the relic while they are distracted with each other?

I'll have to abuse Chromatic Engine to blend in with the environment, thankfully the snowy winds only help me here. Going up high I change colors to match with the clouds and start to survey the area, paying attention to the 2v2 fight going on and, oh. That's oddly lucky, I can see the container half buried on top of the cliff.

They seem to be relatively far, I think I can open the container and swipe what is inside real fast before hauling aft. Right that's what I'll do, but I'll have to do this as fast as I can before they decide to race on over there. I made sure to go around, flying in through the opposite side at a low altitude, last thing I need is for them to hear me coming after all.

Flying under the cover of the snowy winds and clouds while using the chromatic engine actually was actually easier than it sounds. Though I can think on that later, I transform and land onto the cliff, no one was here and I still hear fighting going on in the distance. This was good, I walk over to the container of the relic and saw it was kind of identical to the one that held the Tox-En except with blue markings instead of green.

Shrugging I pop open the lid and... what is this? I pick up what seems to be some sort of visor? Is this like an X-Ray visor or something? I instinctively turn it over and out of idiotic spontaneity, decided to put it on my faceplate. What I saw surprised me, I see energon. In fact, I can SEE energon, like I can see the energon coursing through the sparks of the two autobots and decepticons.

Hell I can even see the energon in myself and in the spark right... behind... me. Scrap.

"Autobot, I will request only once, that you surrender the relic." Turning around I could only mentally curse as I take off the visor for a brief moment.

Of all cons. Why did it have to be you? Why didn't Megatron decide to throw a mook instead of a named character? I thought he'd be in Antarctica searching for the Apex Armor!

Blue with accents of Gold scattered over his wide form. Red optics, a horned helm, and wielding his blade pointed in my direction. Dreadwing. Twin of Skyquake. You know, I was hoping my first fight with a named con would be someone easier, someone like Knockout but nooooo. I had to get the skilled combatant capable of fighting Optimus.

This is going to be rough.

NemeSIs Prime, has't thou ever heard. That Greed is NOT good? (I know I'm talking to myself just roll with it.)

You didn't think I'd give just the Autobots more named characters, yes? Might also give them OCs tho and not just for the cons.

Also pics. <:3

Edit: Replaced Blackout pic with [Objectively] better one. (I'm a sucker for robotic facial hair)

Might be a bit old, but could perhaps be handy, for some personal thinkering, later on.
They are currently working on a Apache Cheyenne, so throw in the Comanche stealth helicopter as well.
Still think (s)he should get himself a jetfighter alt-mode, though, for when Nemesis really needs to move.

Heh, is Nemesis going to consider constructing a small fall-back base below the Autobot base?
Last place anybody would look.
Do hope he can fix the ship, being able to relocate...

So what will Nemesis Prime do next?
Open a Groundbridge to the next location?
Make it look like Optimus is blitzing the locations, while his troops are acting as distractions?

Well looks like you got a warm up before the main fight . Getting the experience fast too to boot. Maybe some simulations are in order after this.

This artifact will be useful for the situation our MC is in. Very convenient I might note. Hmmm.

I'm betting she might loose any surprises after this fight after everyone reports back at the situation at hand.

You know now that I think about it. Our MC might be geared to black-op operations considering what she is cappible of doing. MECH really used Nemisis the wrong way. I also wonder if they join the fight and make it a four way contest. That would be hectic. Then again it's already hectic.

Thanks for this fic!

Chapter 10: Skydance
-=-=-=-=-=-

I slowly take off the visor, slowly changing colors with my chromatic engine into Optimus' colors and was rewarded with Dreadwing looking briefly stunned at seeing the leader of the autobots right in front of him. "Prime? Since when did you- nevermind. I will not ask again, hand over the relic."

Silent, I weighed my options whether to toss the relic away and have Dreadwing panic and try to catch it while I escape, or do I try to fight him and probably get my aft kicked by him? I blink my optics as I suddenly got an idea, it worked in distracting Wheeljack and Bulkhead for the moment. Maybe it will work on Dreadwing as well? I can only hope as I made a slow and small show of putting the visor in the container, though I managed to attach it to the winch that was hanging below my back, I closed the lid and held up the container.

Before I turned to the side and chucked it off the cliff. Seeing Dreadwing's faceplate go from mild confusion, then to shock and disbelief, then to outright panic as he followed the container and leaped off to transform and chase after the falling container. "THE RELIC!"

As he disappeared over the cliff, I couldn't help but think that this was anti-climatic and immediately jumped off the opposite end in order to get away with my prize. Putting the visor onto my faceplate I then transformed into my hind form and quickly changed colors to that of the snow storm using my chromatic engine and flew as far as I could so I could use the groundbridge to escape.

That was oddly easy-

[!!!]Incoming missile from behind[!!!]

Wait what?! I used my hind's specs and popped chaff and flares to distract the missile before sharply turning. I heard and felt the explosion lick my tail before spinning in place to see Dreadwing hovering there just a short distance away from me. "I will admit Prime, that was a good ploy. However I will be taking that relic from you now, your flight capabilities are no match for mine with your alt mode."

What the hell was that? It was like I just sort of knew that attack was coming before I could even see it fire, wait no, focus me. We have Dreadwing stalking my tailpipe right now, so I Optimus Mimed at him. "I cannot allow you to take this relic Dreadwing."

"Unfortunately, it's not up to you." I heard him growl before he launched rockets and fired his alt-modes repeaters at me, I in turn fired off chaff and flares again while firing thermo rockets back and ascending higher into the sky while firing my chin mounted blaster turret at him.

[!!!]Incoming missile from below[!!!]

Instinctively following that warning, I rotated in the air and watched as a rocket barely passed through my rotors and going above me. What the hell is-

[!!!]Incoming fire from right[!!!]

I then twisted my alt mode's orientation to see Dreadwing flying straight for me while firing his blasters. I reflexively fired all my thermo rockets targeting Dreadwing, and was unintentionally rewarded by him breaking off to begin maneuvering defensively around the homing missiles.

Keeping Dreadwing in my sights, I slowly begin to realize that what was happening was probably due to the RELIC. Like holy shit, I can see energon signatures, and this thing WARNS me of attacks? This thing is very useful for a femme like me! Though I calm down as I wonder if this functions like One Piece's Observation Haki, as in it will warn me but I need to be fast enough to actually take advantage of that information.

Regardless I don't want to stick around to find out if that is a thing and look in my HUD, specifically my Energon stores to see if I'm fit for any kind of extended battle. I wasted quite a lot converting them to thermo rockets, and I mentally hiss at seeing the number sitting at 39% and curse as that is not going to last me too long in battle. Especially against a con like Dreadwing whose combat experience outstrips mine.

I can't keep using the thermo rockets or I'll run dry real fast. I need to somehow distract Dreadwing long enough so that he won't be able to follow me into the groundbridge. Man I wish I brought the Apex Armor with me, this would have made me much more confident when fighting. Regardless, I'll have to deal with the hand I've been dealt with. So I made a show of flying towards another large plateau and transformed, while changing colors back into Optimus Prime's red and blue.

[!!!]Incoming dive from above[!!!]

Damn Dreadwing not wasting any time huh? I twirled in place and shifted my right into a path blaster to fire at the incoming seeker, the blue and gold decepticon performed a textbook aileron roll to dodge my blaster fire. He then transformed mid-air to draw his sword falling towards me with a yell.

Right. Hopefully with this Visor I don't get my aft kicked too hard. I watched Dreadwing perform an overhead swing with his falling form and moved out of the blade's path, shifting my right back into a servo I tried to mimic Megatron of all bots when he took control of Bee. Surprisingly, my body followed what I was thinking and as Dreadwing missed my helm and chest by mere inches, I had grabbed his arm holding the sword and his shoulder before using his falling momentum to spin and throw him helm first into a boulder. Can't believe this but thanks bucket head for the idea.

My slight disappointment grew as Dreadwing per his experience of being a seeker, managed to right himself mid air and landed on his pedes on the boulder before hopping down. He stood tall in front of me, my yellow optics hidden by the blue visor looked into his red optics. The two of us looked at each other warily as we began circling the other, Dreadwing held up his blade to optic level while I shifted both my servos in blades.

The only sound between the two of us being the winds of the light blizzard around us, we stayed silent as we eyed the other up for any perceived weakness. I don't doubt that Dreadwing must be getting different kinds of signals from me instead of the clear experienced vibe of Optimus.

I can't fight like him, and I can't even fight like Silas. I have to fight this with my own thought process in mind. I don't have the sheer experience and control of my body like a natural cybertronian, so I have to make do... with going overboard. Computer? If you'd please.

[ Command Received - Engaging Emotional Dampening Procedures ]
[ Dampener Output at 70% ]

I've danced with an insecticon earlier, he was clumsy. Let's see how elegant you are Dreadwing. I broke first and charged towards Dreadwing, he in turn charged as well. I went to perform a swing of my right blade towards under his left arm, he jumped to my left in response.

[!!!]Incoming blade slash to left shoulder[!!!]

Following that I attempted to turn my torso enough so that I could move my left arm up to block with my blade. It succeeded thankfully.

[!!!]Kick to chest[!!!]

Scrap I can't weasel out of that. I didn't feel pain, but I felt the force as I received a roundhouse kick straight to my torso, this caused my HUD to send me a damage warning as I slid back and focused onto Dreadwing. Behind my visor, my optics widened as I saw him put away his sword to bring out his gun.

Quickly going through my choices, I curse mentally as I fire two thermo rockets from my side skirt. This caused the decepticon to stop bringing out his gun in order to pull out a bomb and throw it, detonating it as the rockets crossed the bomb's area.

As the explosion peppered my form with shrapnel, I charged through the smoke to try and surprise Dreadwing.

[!!!]Incoming explosive ahead[!!!]

Wincing within the smoke, I tried to perform a slide and kind of succeeded though I spun a bit. But at least the bomb sailed over my helm and blew up behind me, though my HUD pulled up damages to my rear. I wince as I'm going to have to eat through a lot of energon to repair my latest bout of stupidity, provided I live through it.

I got up to charge through the smoke, as I exited the shroud I saw Dreadwing looking surprised that I charged through anyway. Only for me to tackle him while shifting my servos back. We tumbled a bit as I successfully domed him in the head, although in return he managed to punch my mask covered jaw before the Visor could warn me. So there IS a limit.

Our roll came to a stop and I managed to get on top, I began wildly punching Dreadwing in his faceplate repeatedly. He held up his servos to block me as much as he could before he let out a yell and kicked me in the back, causing me to roll off him and facing away from the con.

[!!!]Incoming kick from behind.[!!!]

Scrap I can't react in time! I turn around as much as I could only to not be fast enough as Dreadwing had dropkicked me in the torso, launching me backwards a great distance. I came rolling to a stop slamming back first against a boulder, my faceplate down into the snow and HUD telling me I received a great deal bit of damage, urging me to get repairs.

I'm suddenly so much more thankful that I can't feel pain right now, my HUD is showing my chest is orange, which probably meant I was taking too much damage.

With the Visor still on my faceplate, I could see Dreadwing's energon signature approaching. "I don't know what changed about you Prime, you hit harder now... but you swing wildly. If you fought my lord as you are now, you wouldn't last a single nano-klik."

That's it, come closer... I see his signature nearing my body. Closer... Dreadwing was now standing above my prone form. NOW!

I got up as fast as I could before shoulder checking Dreadwing to his torso, this rewarded me with a grunt from the decepticon. Though I felt an impact of a fist to the side of my own helm, I threw my right arm aside to force Dreadwing back. It succeeded and he followed it up with spinning on a heel strut while drawing his sword, scrap I don't know where he is going to swing.

[!!!]Incoming blade slash to head.[!!!]

Thank you relic, I duck and pull back my right servo forming a fist before charging into Dreadwing's open guard and threw a punch to the heavyweight seeker's faceplate. Actually carrying him up for a brief moment before I slammed him down onto the ground. I think I felt something break under my fist and shakily got up to see Dreadwing's left optic was actually cracked though it still looked functional, he turned his head to look up at me before he smirked.

[!!!]Incoming bomb from above[!!!]

Snapping my helm upwards I saw a falling bomb heading straight for us. I felt my legs get swept from under me and I saw him transform and jet away. Turning to the bomb, my optics widened as I saw it start blinking rapidly. Despite the dampener, I scramble for purchase on the floor and got up to quickly haul aft away from ground zero.

Throughout this I suddenly had an epiphany, Dreadwing threw the perfect cover!

As I ran away, I began opening up a groundbridge. Just as the telltale hiss of the portal opening reached my audio sensors, I was also assaulted with the sound of an explosion right behind me.

With no choice, I initiated the closure and jumped forwards. Diving straight into my groundbridge right as the shockwave from the explosion reached my back and launching me faster through, thankfully the portal shut off before more of the explosion hit me.

As I flew out of the safe side of the groundbridge, I uncontrollably rolled into the wall and let out a groan of not pain but annoyance. But at the same time, I lowered my dampeners and raised a fist up and weakly cheered. I did it! I managed to get away with another relic!

Pulling up my HUD, I winced as the damages across my body really put me in the low, and my energon reserves were- holy scrap that is 18% energon left.

I suddenly felt myself moving a little bit slower and figured that was enough for today. No more greedy relic grabbing. I managed to nab the Apex Armor, the Tox-En, and this Visor. I'm good on relics, and frankly I don't want to test my luck trying to grab another.

Slowly getting up, I stumbled as I pressed myself against the wall in order to head to my energon stash. I'll need to top off while I repair myself. I can't keep doing this by myself and to myself, I've been getting lucky. Even when fighting Dreadwing, it was only due to the Relic that I wasn't taking even more damage, fragging hell if I didn't equip it then I'd probably be dead or dragged to Megatron like an early christmas present.

Reaching my cache, I took one fresh container and all but ripped off the top before I began chugging the energon, greedily drinking it all up as I slowly began to feel more energized. Letting out a cross between a moan and a sigh, I slump next to the energon cache as I activate my repair ray to begin healing my wounds. All the while drinking more energon in order to bring me back up to decent operational capacity.

I'm horribly inexperienced, and I can't fight alone. Thinking back to the dead scraplet, the cloning facility, the protoforms, the dead tanker vehicon, dead clonescream, and dead insecticons in my possession. I now realize that if I'll get any chance of surviving against the Autobots and Decepticons, I'll need a team of my own.

Hopefully there are a bunch of instructions on this ship on how to make minions. I don't want to pull a Starscream and get betrayed by my own creations...

I just hope I don't get compared to Shockwave.

Not so Surprise, NemeSIs got pounded by Dreadwing.
Big Surprise, NemeSIs actually dished out some pain back.
Biggie Surprise, NemeSIs actually managed to keep the relic.

Wll, if I was you, I would go for one or two relics, anyway.
The hammer and the sword.
Removing either, from play, would really alter the future.
Afteral, without the hammer, Megatron won't be able to forge his Dark-Energon Saber and without the Saber, Megatron won't have a reason to forge his dark saber.
Either way, a win win, there.

I suggest, the moment he can do so, that he borrows that phase shifter.
He might want a second stasis pod, though.
Yeah, he might want to make a deal deal with Smokescreen.
Would also let him secure one of the Keys and thus prevent Megatron from using them all.

Will Nemesis end up becoming a link-up combiner?
As in, the Armada & Energon Optimus Prime add on stuff, ability?

Now the big quistion, will Nemesis intergrate both Relics or not?

I'm still waiting to see him combine with the laser satellite. As in combine permanently. The only things that I've seen for the moment are those alternate modes that stop working after he changes vehicle (From truck to helicopter, hind, etc)

It would be cool forming a new frame for himself with the relics and the satellite.

Also I'm curious about what the MC will do with the toxic energon. Maybe something like Moira from Overwatch or some kind of Arcane/LoL chemtech thing?

Within the Nemesis Warship

"How is this POSSIBLE?! FOUR Relics, each within our GRASP, and only Soundwave returns with something other than an EXCUSE!" Megatron yelled angrily as he stomped past his subordinates, angry beyond belief at how their plans were foiled five-fold.

Knockout, the red sportscar mech who was the lead doctor aboard the vessel. Blitzwing, the grey, black, and purple triple changing mech with multiple personalities and a perchance for order and chaos. Blackout, a grey and black airborne mech that towers over everyone including Megatron. Dreadwing, the 1st Lieutenant and brother of Skyquake, a blue and gold seeker with a cracked left optic. Soundwave, the black and purple chief communications officer and unknown to all but few, Megatron's true second. Hardshell, a battle hardened and scarred insecticon who is missing a pincer on his helm. All of them sans Soundwave were feeling shame at their losses, doubly so when only ONE of them so far managed to bring back a Relic.

Megatron turned to Hardshell angrily and glowered down at the insecticon. "Tell me Hardshell. WHAT is yours?!" The leader of the decepticons goaded the insecticon to answer wrongly enough that he would be 'justified' in swinging his fist into the bug's helm.

Hardshell bowed his head subserviently, arm going across his torso. "I... have none my liege. But I do bear strange tidings."

That seemed to be the right call as Megatron now looked more curious as he was angry. "Oh?"

"My swarm and I had had converged together to attack the green and white autobots when we noticed one of our number was missing. We initially thought that the autobots had gotten the drop on him when we saw what appeared to be a human aircraft lingering nearby. Not wanting any witnesses, we split off two of my brethren to take care of the interloper, and while we were fighting the autobots. We were alerted to the death of the first insecticon, and then heard the pain of the second one. I had sent one of us to go render aid, but when he arrived it was too late, and he barely saw that the interloping vehicle was a cybertronian. He looked like your adversary my liege." At first Megatron looked bored at the weakness of the insecticons, but was still curious as he had seen the aftermath of the three dead insecticons.

But now, hearing that the aircraft was apparently Optimus changed things. Megatron now looked puzzled, and when he was about to question Hardshell more. Dreadwing spoke up.

"I can confirm, that was Optimus Prime. As I had battled him for the visor relic in the north. He had a flight capable alt mode." This caused Megatron to twirl around and look at Dreadwing, now focusing on the clearly cracked optic and dented helm of Dreadwing. Seeing the damage to the three insecticons and to Dreadwing's helm, Megatron let out a curious hum as he held a servo to his chin.

"Prime with a flight form? He also attacked two relics at once? Bold of him to do so." Megatron looked almost worried at the knowledge his most decorated adversary was apparently blitzing his way through multiple relics.

"Three relics actually. We nearly lost ours to him." A female voice piped up from the entrance and helms turned to see a purple and teal colored femme, accompanied by a black and purple mech.

"Slipstream, Barricade. Judging by your words, you are about to give me GOOD news? Hijack still hasn't found anything down in the Antarctic." Megatron demanded the two decepticons who walked in. Slipstream the seeker held up a small black box in one servo, while Barricade silently walked to fall in line with the other subordinates, not needing to say anything since Slipstream will say it anyway.

"Indeed lord Megatron. We managed to acquire this relic from the hands of that big idiot of an autobot Warpath, although we nearly got blindsided by Optimus himself when he exited a groundbridge right behind us. Though if we go by the bug and crater face over there, then Optimus wasn't in a flight mode at that time, he was land based." Slipstream's insulting comments to Hardshell and Dreadwing did not go unnoticed, and while Dreadwing didn't seem affected by it, Hardshell reacted rather strongly with his chittering and snaps.

This caused Megatron's faceplate to scrunch up in genuine puzzlement for a brief moment before he shook his helm and waved a servo. "Bah! We can speak about Prime later, what is this relic that you have retrieved?"

Slipstream held it up so that Megatron would be able to get a closer look at it, and when he did he realized what it was. "It appears to be a databox. Of an unknown model... Soundwave, crack it open."

At the order, Soundwave nodded their helm before they stepped forward and let a tentacle slither from their chassis, grabbing the black box from Slipstream's dainty servo. Their black visor lit up as cybertronian characters and numbers flew past at speeds no regular could follow before it abruptly shut off and the communications chief turned it around.

The black box opened up with a hiss before unfolding outwards, a light forming in the exposed core as it projected a hologram showing the planet's geoscape and the moon orbiting it. There were two locations being marked, one is on the moon, and the other was in the middle of open waters.

Unknown to the Decepticons, this place was marked by humanity as the Bermuda Triangle.

"Strange that it seem to be giving two sets of coordinates." Knockout muttered loudly as he inspected the hologram from a distance.

"The easier coordinates to pursue at the moment would be the one on the moon, instead of the one in open waters with no land in the area." Dreadwing admitted, looking at the hologram of the moon with a narrowed gaze.

Megatron let out a hum as he gazed upon the hologram, looking at it with curiosity. Why would the relic be a set of coordinates? "So it would seem. Soundwave, have Hijack return so that she gives me her report on the search for the relic in the South ice cap. Once that business is done no matter the result, we will head to this planet's moon."

At that, Megatron received affirmations and bows from his subordinates before they went about doing their own thing. Before anything however, Megatron called to Soundwave. "Soundwave, see if you can get any intel on that set of coordinates on the planet. Something about it is bothering me."

He received a burst of affirmative data from his true second and turned to gaze out of the bridge of the Nemesis. Still angry but now more so interested in their latest acquisition.

At Autobot Headquarters

"Wait, you're saying you think you saw Optimus fighting Dreadwing?" Bulkhead asked Chromia, the green autobot looking more than a little worried at the implications if what the blue autobot saw was true.

"Yeah, in a flight capable alt-form of all things. Optimus you didn't inform us you were in the area?" Chromia turned to look at Optimus who looked a little absent minded currently.

This caused Ironhide to snap his digits in front of Optimus, getting no reaction at all. This worried Ironhide and he was about to grab Optimus when Ratchet held out a servo in front of the red mech and shook his helm at the veteran. "Sorry Ironhide, Optimus is just a little bothered at the series of confusing events. I can explain everything, or rather everything we know about it. Wheeljack managed to get glimpses of our reports of our past missions so he sort of knows a little of what to expect."

Wheeljack piped up from his place leaning against the walls of their base. "Yeah, apparently this fake Prime is acting weird compared to their last encounter with it."

Chromia looked confused a bit. "Fake Prime?"

"Well that's an understatement and a half." Arcee grouched from her place sitting on the berth.

"An understatement, but fair considering you don't know much yet. Seems like you just skimmed the information. Anyway, Nemesis Prime is not a true cybertronian first of all. It was made here on earth." This made the new arrivals do a double take at that information.

"As in their protoform was forged here?" Chromia asked with a raised optic ridge, only to receive a helm shake from Ratchet.

"No, it was cold constructed. By humans. Using parts from deceased cybertronians to look like Optimus. Nemesis Prime was created by a human terrorist group called M.E.C.H, a bunch of butchers seeking to uncover the secrets of cybertronian technology, and techno-biology." Ratchet began explaining as much of M.E.C.H and of Silas as he could, with every word the new arrivals grew increasingly disturbed or felt something akin to horror and disgust at what they have learned.

"That's... madness. Sheer madness." Ironhide shook his helm as he reflexively charged his weapons at the thought of a bunch of micro-terrorists taking apart their people. Regardless if they were decepticons.

"You said though that this Nemesis Prime thing isn't acting like it should be. Isn't that a good thing?" Warpath asked with a scratch of his helm, only to be answered by Optimus.

"It should have been. However thanks to Bulkhead, Wheeljack, and Chromia's optic witness accounts. I believe my wayward double may have gotten several upgrades, and a base of their own. The only way for Nemesis Prime to be in one continent one moment and another the next, could only be through the use of a groundbridge." Optimus said in a low voice that still carried throughout the room.

~"Optimus, that makes sense. But this is a M.E.C.H-made bot, where would it even get the tech to create a groundbridge?"~ Bumblebee beep booped at Optimus, and every mech and femme in the room understood at what he is getting at.

"I do not know how my double has achieved this Bumblebee, but I'm beginning to believe that they were also the one responsible for taking the relic in the Antarctic. As at its exact coordinates, there was only ice and rubble. I had left once I saw decepticons beginning to approach the site in order to prevent unnecessary combat, although I had Special Agent Fowler evacuate the nearby human settlements." Explaining his findings in the Antarctic, the autobots couldn't help but feel a little bit worried.

"What I'm more worried about is... how does it know of the relics? Moreover, if we go by all the evidence then that means Nemesis Prime is in possession of THREE Iacon Relics, relics we have no clue as to what they are and/or what they do." Arcee gave an incredibly valid worry, as that meant an unknown 3rd party is wielding three unknown artifacts.

"I think I did see the relic when I saw your double Optimus." Chromia's words got every mech and femme in the vicinity to look at the blue heavyweight femme.

"Please do tell, any kind of description would be helpful in identifying the relic and its purpose." Just as Optimus inquired that, Chromia gave him an answer that caused him to momentarily freeze.

"It looked like a blue visor that looked like it stuck itself to your double's faceplate." The autobots saw their leader thinking quietly, his blue optics looking around a few times before he blinked and furrowed his optic ridges.

"If I remember correctly, then that is the Oracle's Gaze. An ancient creation, one not normally known due to it being rather old and being locked when it was put into storage. If this IS the Oracle's Gaze, then I'm afraid finding Nemesis Prime will have become an even more difficult task." Seeing the confusion on the faces of the other autobots, Optimus decided to elaborate.

"The Oracle's Gaze is a mystical artifact capable of allowing the wearer to see all energon signatures, even the ones in cybertronians and even against invisible targets. But aside from that it is also capable of giving the wearer warnings, especially during combat. This allowed the wearer to predict their opponent's attacks even before they were made."

"That sounds incredibly powerful, it gives nothing but advantages. Why was it boxed and archived away?" Ironhide asked as this was the first time he has ever heard of this artifact. It surely would have given him an easier time in fights if he had it.

"Because it has an inherent disadvantage and prolonged usage is incredibly detrimental to the wearer. The Oracle's Gaze only warns you of attacks, it is then up to you to do with that information what you will. Prolonged usage however will only improve the artifact's ability to perceive things, instead of attacks it will warn you of any action, and if one wears it for long enough then they will no longer be able to ignore any kind of visual stimuli. Records say it has driven the first few wearers to madness that it permanently crashed their drives." Optimus could tell his reveal of the downsides caused the autobots to look at him incredulously.

"Sweet Primus, to not be able to ignore any visual stimuli... What if a building exploded and rubble fell from the sky?" Jazz asked, morbidly curious about the answer.

"The wearer would be forced to move their optics to look at every single piece of falling rubble, almost freezing in place due to the numerous amount of visual stimuli happening at one time. Making them far easier targets." The leader of the autobots gave the answer, and it disturbed the rest of them.

"I can see now why it was boxed." Warpath said in a serious tone, his arms crossed as much as he was physically able to while he looked down.

A somber silence permeated throughout the base, before their human allies. Specifically Jack spoke up. "So... Nemesis Prime's got three relics out of the six, did any of you manage to get any luck with the others?"

This got an affirmative from Arcee. "We did, we got the Phase-Shifter from Knockout."

But got a negative from Jazz. "Sorry, I tried to take the Resonance Blaster from Soundwave, but seems like he's got me beat." The little pun at the end caused Chromia to groan as if she was in pain, though it only seemed to make Jazz and Ironhide grin.

"Though we did manage to upload a virus with the help of Rafael, we have a full complete copy of the Iacon Database within our mainframe. After putting an obvious decoy grenade to distract them from it, inspired by that reckless wrecker over there." Ratchet finished by jabbing a thumb over at Wheeljack, who smirked at that.

"You're welcome doc!" "Don't call me doc!" Wheeljack quipped and was immediately rebuked by Ratchet who despite the vehemence was smirking a little as well.

"It was a gamble that paid off old friend. I'm afraid I can speak for Warpath and I that we were unable to retrieve the relic from Slipstream and Barricade." Optimus spoke his piece.

~"Barricade, I'm surprised that crooked cop is still functioning."~ Bumblebee let out a growling set of beeps as he crashed his servos together, throwing a three punch combo to thin air.

"Regardless, at one point we will have to find a way to get in contact with Nemesis Prime. They have retrieved three of the six relics, the decepticons have retrieved two of the six and we have only gotten one of them." Jazz shrugged while saying that, some of the autobots turned to look at him with skepticism in their optics. More so from the earthbound team.

"What? You said it yourself, this Nemesis Prime guy is not acting like they are being controlled. What if it is reasonable? From what you said, the guy runs away from you instead of actively fighting." The thing is, they know he's got a point. It is just a bit difficult especially for Team Prime to think that the previously mindless remote controlled Nemesis Prime could potentially be sentient.

"I suppose that is an option." Ratchet muttered lowly.

After that though they were interrupted by a call. "Prime! I got calls from Uncle Sam saying they spotted the Con Warship heading off the earth and towards the moon. Got any idea what's this about?"

"I'm afraid not Special Agent Fowler. But we will look into it." Optimus apologized but informed their liaison that they will find out.

"I'll hold you to it. Fowler out."

Oh hey, the Autobots are being reasonable about NemesisSI. Id say its surprising but considering they are thousands of years old it truly isnt, they probably learned to minimize the number of enemies they have to fight pretty early on.

Nah this is just the softest version of prime. If this was comic book prime then it would have been a toss up. Micheal Bays prime would have done the opposite.

Glad to see this getting a lot of updates. Do you just stockpile and then release chapters or something?
Nope. All thonked from up in my head. Which is why I'm writing one more chapter as me brain juice is no longer flowing after.

Thats cause good conflict resolution skills are not conducive to massive explosions and brutal fighting
If this was Bayforce Prime then NemeSIs Prime would have to pull out all the stops and not hesitate to try and take advantage against Bayforce or else she gon die. Since NemeSIs here is unintentionally mimicking his brutality is gon be a nasty fight.

Grap the Forge Of Solus and one key, that should derail canon, quite heavily.
You asking her to one bot solo the Nemesis Warship for the Forge?

The Forge of Solus Prime is still with the cons at this moment. That'll put our baeformer right in Megatron's sights, and considering Dreadwing's comment on 'Optimus' lack of skill. She'd be straight up fucked.

That's why she needs that shifter, that it can also give her a key...
Getting Smokescreen to understand that Megatron can't be allowed to keep certain things...
It's that or removing a certain sword, rock & all, if needed.
Though I would laugh if her Prime designation is not actually faked.

Mmm, if not, can she fake it by using that gate behind the moon?
Recovering that Prime Body, might actually be for the best, long term, since it prevents Megatron from using it.
Bonus if it becomes her trailer unit, even if it's a flatbed.
Think Armada Optimus, here, as a possibility.

Thing is, to grap Megatron by his tailpipes, she needs to prevent somethings from ever happening.
Grabbing that hammer and a key, is the easiest course for that one.
Also lets the writer of our tale herd, really shake things up and derail canon quite well.
Thus letting our writer steal somd plots from the other transformer universes.

Would be funny if Nemesis figures out how to use the Lock & Keys, to recharge that hammer.
More troublesome is that most of those relics are meant to fight Unicron.
And this fight is wrecking them, together with the tools to fix them.
Besides, tweaking Megatron by a confusingly effective Optimus Prime....

I just hope it doesn't become a Energon Saber versus Dark Energon Saber versus Tox-Em Saber.
Besides, Nemesis doesn't have a long-range bridge, either.
So yeah, getting that Phase Shifter in order to grap that hammer, a key and potdntially somd blueprints...
Remember, without that hammer, Megatron can't forge his Dark Energon Sword.
Without that sword, Smokescreen won't get hit enough to need it in order to survive a direct attack by Megatron.
Still would need it in order to escape the Decepticon base.

One thing I can see Nemesis being interested in, is getting a copy of the Autobot Blueprint files.
Plus mayby a more up-to-date Decepticon one.
Now if only she could get the Autobots to create a fall-back base deep below their current base.
Bonus if they put their long-range bridge, there as well.
Especially since it is basicallt a modified groundbridge, so....
Could also act as a deep hangar bay as well.
I think that that Autobot Wrecker would get Nemesis her hint of not putting all their eggs in one basket, in case Megatron finds their base.

But yeah, Megatron not having the Forge Of Solus, really would derailthis storg from the canon tracks.

Chapter 11: This is most logical
-=-=-=-=-=-

Ok, so I placed the relics together and away from Starscream's Stasis Pod just in case. But I did keep that visor on me, I'm not using it right now as I don't see the need to look at energon signatures and I'm not in danger yet. So it's just sitting on top of my helm like how you'd put up your sunglasses after raising them above your head. It is far too useful compared to the Apex Armor and especially compared to the Tox-En, so I'll be keeping it on me for a while.

It has been a day since my whole Relic Blitz, nearly getting myself killed in the process through Dreadwing, you know? As you do. But I've been thinking, now that I'm no longer taking relics, and I'm in no immediate danger. I'm starting to think a bit more clearly, and I realize that I'm an idiot. The Iacon Relics are sought after by both Autobots and Decepticons, so by taking those relics to boost my survival chance, I in turn also LESSENED my survival chance with both factions now hunting for me.

Granted I can only hope the old bucket head and his cons are just thinking Optimus blitzed them and took four relics from them, but I don't doubt for one moment that the Autobots are now probably openly looking for me. There aren't many places on this ball of rock and water that can house and power a groundbridge, it is only a matter of time until they realize I'm in the Harbinger.

So? There are two things I have come to realize about my predicament, one is I need to get more combat experience. Maybe create simulations of fights, and wars, it should only help me there. But the second one? I can't do this by myself, by that I mean I can't fight alone anymore. The Autobots and Decepticons have a lot more of their named champions than normal, so I'm going to need named characters of my own, no matter how green they'd be right now.

The Harbinger was apparently a protoform research facility, using cybermatter-cloned protoforms to perform numerous experiments. One of the files I found depicted the process of Cold Forging, the act of Forging the protoform to your desired specifications. This is good, that means I can make my own cybertronians with these protoforms. There is only one problem, this act requires energon and actually requires other cybertronian parts as a catalyst.

Which kind of explains why this line of experimentation hit a roadblock after Cybertron, this means you need the corpses of other cybertronians to Cold Forge. Though I don't think it will be a problem for me since I know of one place that has dead cybertronians. Though I will not touch that accursed valley, those were tainted by Unicron's spark and I don't want to know what will happen if I use a Dark Energon infused corpse to Cold Forge, I might just end up giving Unicron an outside force he could control even in his dormant state.

But the insecticons in that cave, I don't see a reason why they can't be used... that makes me sound rather bad. But I don't have the luxury for any other kind of thinking, I'm going to be in a lot of danger soon and I'd rather take measures to make sure I stay as safe as possible.

Speaking of those insecticons, I still have the stasis pod insecticon in the Harbinger, I figure I can open it up and see if the insecticon is actually dead or in perma stasis... wait I can just use the visor. I doubt the stasis pod will prevent the visor from seeing the insecticon's signature if it is alive.

Looking around the protoform lab, I eye the five capsules and nod to myself. Hopefully five will do for now. This also made me think about the scraplet and I can't help but think of a rather insane idea. Before I could pursue that line of thinking any further, I shake my helm and start making my way to the insecticon pod. Through the act of Cold Forging, I need to make it so that they are all loyal to me and me alone. I won't treat them badly of course, they are going to be made by me so why antagonize them?

Regardless, I arrive to the insecticon pod and eyed the stasis pod for a brief moment before I pulled down the visor to see if there is any life in there. Nothing. So far the only energon I'm seeing is from the actual pod, not its occupant, though I prepare for a fight just in case the visor was somehow tricked.

I open up the stasis pod and watched it unfold with a heavy clang and hiss, the insecticon just looked slumped and even with the visor I see no spark of energon running through it... Though just to be safe... I morphed a blade and stabbed the motionless insecticon directly in the neck and severed the helm from its body. I look down at the now fallen body of the insecticon and can't help but wonder if I'm starting to get used to this kind of sight before shaking my helm.

Sighing I turn around and pull up the visor, my yellow optics looking at the corpses around me. The Tanker Vehicon, Clonescream, the three Insecticons. Hell I even remember the vehicons I brutally slaughtered over at that mine and think of how much I've changed. It hasn't been that long and I've changed a lot during my time in this universe.

Closing my optics I lightly shake my helm. No. Let's focus, come on me, let's try and make it so we aren't alone at least. The files did at least explain in detail what checks and preparations one can do before the process of Cold Forging, one thing is that I need energon for each protoform I am cold forging, that's easy enough as I have like several cubes still in storage. Probably will need to head out and find a mine to raid or something.

Another thing I need is a clear idea and design for each one of them, turns out protoforms come in different sizes. So I figured I can go cover my bases, two heavies, two scouts, and one support.

Frankly I already had designs for them, but I'm mostly pulling from OCs I had created using... ah, borrowed art. So I suppose that helps me here... I just hope they don't exist in this universe or meeting them is going to be hella awkward. But so far, after inputting the designs in, I found out I need maybe two or three more insecticon corpses considering the two heavy boys I'm making are rather large.

So I guess that's another trip to the inactive insecticon hive. I should take the Apex Armor so this won't take me an hour to pull the damned stasis pods.

20 Minutes Later (Pretty much uneventful)

That was a MUCH faster run than last time, I deactivate the Apex Armor after setting down the insecticon pods down and getting the dead insecticons out of their stasis shells. Of course I tore off their heads just to make sure they stay dead, and I'm beginning to question my sanity being so nonchalant with ripping off heads. Ok let's continue on from this thought and give me some new friends to save me from my degrading mental health.

Thankfully the protoform lab was much larger than what was depicted in the show, otherwise it'd be awkward moving the big protoforms into place. Right, time to go find the protoform storages, I'm glad Starscream is an idiot and didn't search for more Protoforms to make an even bigger clone armada like his Animated incarnation did.

Stopping by a large door, I pressed on the terminal to send a signal to the door in front of me. Nothing happened much to my annoyance and I slammed my fist against the terminal thinking it didn't read well, thankfully that opened the door. Though there was a lot of dust that made me almost reflexively gag, but as the door opened the lights flared up and let me view what was inside. I hiss at seeing the various Protoforms in wrecks, that changes things.

I walk in to look around and see if I can find some intact protoforms, it's kind of insane that the Harbinger had a whole storage rack of protoform clones just sitting here. Albeit quite a few of them are damaged, but there were still a good number of them mostly intact. I picked out two protoform chassis, they were the same size of Bumblebee and Soundwave, so that works.

As I continued looking through the storage, I spotted a strange looking protoform, it looked kind of... malleable, like it was a fusion of two? Wait, is this a split-spark protoform?! Does this mean this protoform splits into a twin spark? I quickly mark it down and ran to a nearby console to see if my suspicion rang true.

Turns out it IS a split-spark protoform! Jackpot! I can get two more for the price of one! Now I just need to find the big boys. I need BIG boys, I'm a big... well, girl, but I need me some bigger muscle. My yellow optics zeroed in on one such protoform and after calculating its size I can see he was actually larger than Megatron if I'm right, this would be good for getting a larger aircraft form perhaps. So I mark that one down.

Continuing on, I walked around some more and turned around one storage rack to find a protoform that is my size, that works. Alright, so I have a protoform for a scout, a split-spark protoform, a protoform for my support, and two big protoforms for my heavy boys. That should do it. I mark them all down and left the storage room so I can get the Apex Armor to bring them all into the lab.

As I left the room, my mind kept straying to the bloody dead scraplet and I can't help but be reminded of my insane idea. Brain, can you shut up? I'm not going to try and create scraplets that are domesticated to me, that is just asking for everything to go horribly wrong.

Reaching for the Apex Armor, I can't help but sigh as I felt like I was arguing with my own brain at times. Especially now. You know the feeling when your brain decides to give you random goals like; 'Reach that tree before that car does or you die.' it's so annoying.

But then again, the idea of having a swarm of scraplets that answer my calls sounds insane but also looks... cute. Like they would probably be like they were with Rafael and act like puppies. Though I think they might try to chomp on others but I think I can work around tha- Wait NO. I can't believe I'm actually entertaining that thought, alright stop, let's just move on.

I sigh as I put on the Apex Armor and lumbered my way back to the protoform storage unit with a hover pad to put the protoforms on. Looking at the Apex Armor I can't help but think that this could be a suit that could protect me against scraplet bites. Then I could see on the glass of the Apex Armor, my reflection showed that my faceplate twisted into a deadpanned look realizing that I thought about the scraplet puppies again.

I really hope that I'm not going to keep thinking about scraplet pups for the rest of the day, I don't need this kind of distraction at all!

Reaching the storage unit, I began the slow process of moving the five protoforms onto the pad and began pushing it along towards the lab. Earlier when I brought in the two more insecticon pods, I made sure to bring the corpses into the lab already. That would save me the effort of going back and forth.

Looking down at the five protoforms, I can't help but think that these are going to possibly be my first allies if not friends on this godforsaken rock. I can only hope that I do things right and I don't ruin this.

Fighting by myself is one thing, but staying alone for this long is going to drive me mad. Hell, I think I'm already going mad with my thoughts about scraplet pups keep circling around my helm. I may not have been an outgoing person in my past life, but with how much I need to fight just to survive, it would be nice having others I could trust to have my back.

Arriving at the lab, I audibly gulp as I stare at the corpses I left on one side, and the five capsules for the protoforms right in front of me. "Right... this is it. Let's see if I can pull this off." I slowly began moving the protoforms into the capsules one by one, making sure I do not damage them accidentally with the Apex Armor.

I turned to look at the corpses and especially clonescream. Waste nothing I guess.

Time to bring out the Inner Shockwave within me.

"It's only logical after all." I mutter a little loudly as my yellow optics hover over the ones I killed before turning to the console to look through the files pertaining cold forging. I don't want to make any mistakes here.

Ok First Step is grab the desired protoforms from storage. I look at the five protoforms I've chosen and nodded at that, check.

Second Step, design the appearance and main attributes the protoforms will take on. Right this should take up the most time.

Ok. So the first protoform will be mainly a scout and fighter, kind of like Bumblebee and Arcee. Black, grey, white, and orange. Primarily designed to be a melee combatant but can also shift hands into ranged options. Let's also make them talkative and playful.

The second protoform, they will be my support. Dark green, with bits of orange and black scattered about them. They will be a planner, they will be intelligent, and they will also be well versed in the art of spying and hacking. Smart, and a little bit snarky and arrogant, but means well.

The first of the big boy protoforms, the one that is my size. Let's make them grey with whites, chunkier and more robust. They will be quiet, a gentle giant and be well versed in the medical and mechanical theatres. They will be a protector who puts himself in between his allies and the danger.

The second big boy, the bigger between the two. They will be mostly grey with some whites and yellows, they will be bulky, they will be strong, and they will be able to jump into the enemy and rip them a new one. Most of all, they will be a flyer. They will not be so outspoken, and can be a bit awkward when talking with those they care about. Though when talking to strangers and in combat they will be cold and ruthless.

Finally, the split-spark protoform. I decide to design them with dark blues, blacks, and whites, with a little bit of red at the collar. They will be scouts and fighters like the first protoform. They will be playful, but more serious and have more of a dark humor.

Right, that should be the basics. I'll let the 'natural' part decide the rest, whether they are a mech or femme and all that. What other stuff they will like or dislike, among other things.

Looking back to the file, I take a look at the Third Step. I feel a little ill reading it. There is a chamber to the right of the room that connects to the capsules through the ceiling, this is where one... deposits the cybertronian bodies which are used to provide the... material for the Cold Forging.

... I've come this far. I don't need to stop now. Computer, you- actually... don't. I need to do this myself.

Without the Apex Armor, I was still strong enough to one hand an insecticon. So within a few minutes I had brought the five insecticons, one tanker vehicon, and one clonescream corpse into the chamber which I closed and sealed behind me. I watch as a light above the chamber door turn red and look to the terminal next to the door and hesitated for a brief moment before I activated the chamber, turning away as I heard electricity and flames sound off behind the closed doors.

The Fourth Step which was supply at least two energon canisters to each protoform capsule, four if the capsule carries a split-spark protoform. Easy enough, I did so with a small bit of delays, looking at each protoform and hoping that just maybe I won't be alone for too much longer.

With that done I look at the Fifth Step which is the most important before activation... ah, I need to place a cord on the back of my helm? I read the instructions and why that is... ah, the donor would subconsciously aid in the formation of the forging of the protoforms. Lending their knowledge for the forging to fill in certain blanks, such as knowledge and the instinct to transform and shift body parts. Makes sense, and also to provide a master personality to help base off newly formed personalities and attitudes.

Right, I look at the cord that is on the console and hesitate for a brief moment. What if this goes wrong since I'm not a true cybertronian? What if I make them feral since I'm essentially a walking animated puppet?

Just from that alone, I was about to stop this entire thing. Then I turned to the chamber that had the corpses of those I had retrieved for this endeavor and thought to myself. I had already desecrated their dead bodies, it would be an insult to not at least see this through, whether it succeeds or fails.

I then placed it to the back of my neck strut and felt a flash of pain as my pain receptors were forcefully brought online. I let out a hiss as my HUD pulled up the information of an unauthorized connection being made. I allowed it and was bombarded with windows opening up revealing the five protoforms, my designs, the energon stores, and the 'material' ready for Cold Forging.

Blinking my optics I looked down at the console, and in my HUD they both asked the same thing.

[ Begin Cold Forging? - Yes | No ]

Taking a deep vent, I looked at the choices and clicked Yes, I then had a stray thought pass through my helm just as I made my choice. Wait, doesn't this technically make me their parent like a mom?

Right before I felt pain of the highest order start from the base of my neck. I couldn't hear anything as my whole vision went white and I could barely register myself letting out a scream, falling to my knees as I tried to rip off the cord connected to my neck. But my body locked up and I could only sit there and basically take the pain.

If I was still organic, I probably would have been crying my heart out at this unbearable pain. My entire body felt like it was on fire, and my head felt like Metroplex decided to play whack a mole with it viciously.

My HUD was off and all I saw was white, I then noticed that I was no longer screaming in pain. Oh wait that was just me gritting my denta in an effort to keep the pain in while I suffered through this.

It felt like forever, at least until the pain abruptly stopped and my vision slowly returned, my HUD flickering back on to its soft gold color. I briefly heard and felt the ground shake about six separate times before I slowly looked up as much as I could. I felt so weak.

Oh? The cord was pulled off my neck, and I felt myself getting lifted up by large but gentle servos and looked into the yellow optics of another mech. My own optics blinked softly as I shakily raised up a servo to feel the other mech's faceplate thinking this was a hallucination borne from the pain.

Despite the belief, I felt his faceplate and softly smiled at seeing the worried looking mech. He was a big boy, slowly looking around, I saw five more faces, and couldn't help but feel happy at seeing them for some reason.

"Y-you probably d-don't have n-names yet." I whisper softly, no doubt due to the pain causing my vocalizer box to glitch out something fierce.

"We can wait a little longer. You must rest and repair yourself first, mother." I saw the dark green mech with a yellow synthwave animated visor said before seeing the rest of them nod.

Rest does sound grea- hang on a second. MOTHER?!

NemeSIs Prime: *Tries to do like Shockwave. Accidentally becomes mom.* "I think I made a mistake somewhere."

Names will be revealed in next chapter. Maybe, or it will be the one after if it is an interlude.

Anyway, this is the last chapter for now. Brain is no longer churning out chapters for this fic, it is now doing so for the other ones under my jurisdiction. So dunno how long until this gets a new chap. Hopefully this satisfies ya'll for now! <:3

Great chapter. I enjoyed it throughly. Also, hurray for motherhood(?) If I couldn't tell how badly canon was derailed already this absolutely does it, our girl made Shockwave proud today, for SCIENCE! As much as I'd love to see Momisis interact with other characters more I completely understand her need to play things with caution given how she's (formerly) alone, and lacking allies to back her up. It doesn't help that she's literally the cybertronian version of Frankenstein's Monster (the book-accurate one).

Okay, seen the pics, so here is what I notice as things as possible options & needs.

First one, Scout, where is the pistol or rifle?
She really needs one and she still has a empty hip.
I see two wheels in the legs, and modern headlights as the head (eyes) decoration,
So some modern car.
Can we get Cyberverse Bee his body, with flightmode?

Second, Support.
Evil Scrapper Joker Batman feeling in looks.
No clear support to be seen, at all.
Not even in terms of tools or so.
Honestly, seems like a fusion between canon Soundwave & Shockwave, might have been more logical, here.
Think a MCV or a tank recovery unit, here, as a potential option look.

Third, Big Boy.
Wrong name, not big enough for that alt-mode body.
Looks to be somekinda military transport, wheeled.

Fourth, Bigger Boy.
Something like a V-22 Osprey or so?
Nea, rotors & engines are part of the arms, not the wings.
Carrier awacs & tanker plane, hull frame, perhaps?

Fifth, the Split-Spark.
A Smart perhaps?
Like the Smart Roadster, with a solid roof & back and the open top one?
Sure, needs some headlight modifications, but you get the general idea.

In all, could he not have gone for a more Constructicon setup, if with different alt-mode options?
Like say a sky-crane, tank-recovery-unit, ect, ect???
O well, may for next time.

Edit:
TheLunchKing might I suggest you take a look at the other Transformer Universes, for a bit, in terms of plot points?
Because if you get rid of that hammer being in Megatron his hands...
Well, it lets you bypass a lot of trouble, several episode's worth, in fact.
And I think for you being able to break away from Canon Prime Events, might actually be good for your muse.

I also think Nemesis was a idiot, simply by trying to create all five, at ones.
But since he was for a moment, thinking Stunticons/Constructicons, I think there might be a change the five might actually be combiners.
Check the Protoform Cold Forging tests, see if he needs to actually provide a spark, if all he wants, is a trailer that can become his lower body.
Like Armada Prime.
Also check if this process can be adapted to revive transformers, as well.
He needs to steal Soundwave his cloning research, if nothing else, might let him to fully unlock his Cold Forging ability and perhaps even remove the need for death bodies, as well.

One thing is sure, he needs more crew, if only to run his base and fix it up.
Not even talking about things like mining and so on.
Don't really care if most of them are just drones, under the control of one or more bots.
Mmm, could he make something like a Hivequeen bot, capable of constructing new drone bodies, if given the raw resources?
That way, Nemesis can have a Queen Bee to act as her ship's captain, turning the (secondary) bridge into her command-nest.

So think things over.
If for one, that forcefield generator survived, then it could have been added to the Autobot base defence systems, preventing it's lose.
A hidden lower base would have added to their options, as well.
Especially if it housed the longer ranged stuff, for long duration periods, besides acting as a store house & factory complex.

Mmm, would be fun if one if the bigger bots, was a tripple changer and is willing to select a military air defence trailer as a alt-mode, so Nemesis can be pulling allong a big surprise.
Mmm, could Nemesis intergrate that vizor, into her ship it's sensor system?
Because if so...

Through the act of Cold Forging, I need to make it so that they are all loyal to me and me alone. I won't treat them badly of course, they are going to be made by me so why antagonize them?
That is creepy AF, and also a generally bad idea.

First, there is how you make them loyal to 'you and you alone'. Whether you're making some sort of hard-wired IFF, or setting your voice/appearance as 'master' then you're asking for trouble if anyone works out exactly what you did and spoofs it. If someone is following you because they want to then they'll be quick to pick up on doppleganger/spoofing situations, but if it's hard-wired they may be unable to tell something is wrong or unable to disobey fake-you even if they can tell.

The best you can do is to aim for personalities that have a general pack-tendency and desire to seek direction and build up loyalty the old-fashioned way.
