Sudden Active Development... I certainly feel SAD at the moment (Transformers Prime SI)

A warped, blackened Optimus Prime stalks an ever-paranoid Starscream through the Harbringer. Never speaking, never approaching. Always just out of sight, slipping around the corner as Starscream turns around in fright, catching but a glimpse. Is he losing his mind? Who knows.

Sounds like a half decent horror game tbh.

How much change the Autobots plotted out Nemesis Prime his route and looked for anomalies along it?
Naturally, he can't keep the wreck, but if he can, would he try to fix it or see about constructing a smaller ship, using it's remains?

One thing the SI might want to think about, Armada Optimus Prime his Super Mode, where his body becomes his torso and his trailer, his legs.
If he can thus remodel his stolen trailer, that way...
Then there is the Energon Optimus Prime his mimicing of the Constructicons, Dinobots, Airial Bots and so on.
Mmm, could he use Starscream his cloning setup in order to create his own Airial bots setup?

Heh, Nemesis Prime had in several versions, a fueltank-trailer, could that tank-vehicon thus be used for a heavy remodel of that trailer of his?
I think the SI should go for combiner & linker technology, in terms of upgrades.
Check the healing gear, maybe there is a nice database that could be used for say, upgrades, there.

My camera on a ball turret quickly looked below me as I heard Optimus call out to Bumblebee of all bots to fall back, I had turned just in time to see the yellow scout transform and grab my tail. The added weight, which is a lot forced me off course as we barely cleared the cliff and I saw Bumblebee prepare to shoot down my rotor blades, yeah no. I like you little one, you are the closest thing Optimus had to a son but I'm not going to let you clip my wings after I just got them.

So I began transforming into my biped form, the scout noticing that he had to drop down lest his limbs get crushed by the transformation. The both of us landed with quite a heavy thud and Bumblebee got a good look at my biped form and I saw him visibly do a double-take.

"Female Optimus?" I blink my optics as I registered that not only did he speak, but I also understood him. Wait, even if Nemesis is a Frankensteinian creation it is still a cybertronian and Silas could not understand because he was a flesh and blood human.

Myself on the other hand am using the computerized drives, sensors, and other cyberbiology of this body in order to perceive the world through a "cybertronian's" optics and sensors.

What he said gave me an idea however to prevent the Autobots from shooting me on sight. Thank you Bumblebee for the chance, I made sure to 'stiffen' visibly upon hearing what he said and looked at him with a tilt of my helm. Which was reciprocated by the yellow scout, wary as he is.

I then slowly approached him, looking as non-threatening as possible. I can see Bumblebee slowly backing up as I got closer, but he didn't fire as he saw me not looking like I was trying to fight. Hmm, I wonder if Prime taught him that discipline.

The slight backwards movement from Bumblebee continued as I approached him with a 'curious' tilt of my helm, it continued until his back met against a rather large boulder and he had nowhere to go. Bumblebee was aiming his blasters at my battle mask covered faceplate. So I slid them back and was rewarded by the yellow scout letting out a cute little confused whirring noise.

Suddenly I reached with my hands and grabbed the startled autobot underneath his arms and lifted him up effortlessly, much to his chagrin. But now he looked incredibly confused before I decided to be as confusing as possible and held him close to my chest, head 'resting between' the bubble cockpits and letting him hear the rumble of my engine and the low synthetic hum of my power core.

Before Bumblebee could say anything, I laid the cheek of my faceplate on top of the scout's head. Hehe I can already tell the autobots are going to be hella confused when they come here.

Rearranging ourselves so I was leaning against the boulder, I made myself as comfortable as possible and also made it so the confused scout can feel that I wasn't exactly doing him any harm. He even made the adorable confused whirr noise while looking up at me from 'between' my chest, in response to that one of my servos went over his head and gently dragged a servo digit over his helm.

The telltale sound of engines and wheels on the ground dragged the scout's attention to the left, I stared at Bumblebee for a brief moment before turning to face the autobots just as they transformed.

They looked just as confused and bewildered at the sight in front of them, they were seeing a 'female-ish' Optimus/Nemesis Prime cradling Bumblebee like he was a child.

I made the mental equivalent of snickering as I saw the three of them look at each other now unsure of what to do while Bumblebee waved at them hesitantly while beeping out. "Hi guys, as you can see... I'm in a predicament."

Optimus politely 'coughed' and waved his hand while his optics alternated between the scout and myself. "I believe I can speak for everyone here when I say that, that is an understatement."

"Your damages are superficial, you are lucky you came out of that engagement with your spark intact. The last time you engaged Nemesis Prime you were swiftly defeated and you walked away with dents to your helm and cranial chamber, even Optimus had a hard time defeating his double as he received grievous injuries himself." Ratchet lectured me after he finished scanning myself for any injuries.

"I know Ratchet, I know very well it could have gone extremely badly for me. But what else was I supposed to do? That M.E.C.H piece of scrap was going to get away from us had I not chased after it." I bit back, although Ratchet just looked annoyed.

"Your life is far more important than ensuring the mission is completed." The medic retorted as he put away his medical tools.

The sound of heavy pedes cut through the air grabbing my attention. Turning to the source of the sound, I looked up as I saw Optimus Prime look down upon me. "I will have to agree with Ratchet. Arcee, while your desire to complete the mission is admirable, I do not wish for your spark to be the price for such a completion."

I look away from Optimus, it was concerning to see Nemesis and despite the slightly different frame appearance, I fell into the trap of thinking it would fight like Optimus. The helm shape, battle mask, among other things made me try to fight Nemesis like how I would spar with Optimus.

A weight slightly tilted the berth I was sitting on and I could feel a servo place itself on my shoulder, turning a little I saw Optimus look at me with an understanding look. "It is fine to desire victory, but one should not focus on the end goal, one must also focus on how one gets to said goal."

Although I was feeling a little bit better, I could not help but let out a little smirk. "Ever full of wisdom to impart, huh Optimus?"

My little quip had Optimus smile in my direction as he pat my shoulder before he stood up. "Now I apologize Arcee, but now that you have been cleared by Ratchet. We need to discuss about my double."

My faceplate turned serious as I nodded and waited while Optimus contacted Bulkhead and Bumblebee, meanwhile I turned to Ratchet and my serious look melted slightly and gave way to worry. "Ratchet?"

The medic turned to look at me from his workplace, his look that of puzzlement and silently asking for me to get on with what I was going to ask. "How is Cliffjumper?" I whisper just loud enough that the white and red mech heard it and his puzzled look turned into one of understanding.

"His vital signs are stable, he shows brainwave activity but he has still not yet awoken. I have done all I could in ensuring his recovery Arcee, yet I believe the only thing stopping Cliffjumper from awakening from his coma is himself." He saw my down look and whispered back to me. "I'm sorry."

Raising my helm to look into his optics, I gave a firm smile. "It's alright Ratchet, you did what you could. He could not have been in better hands." Despite that, his look softened which meant my smile wasn't as firm as I wanted.

Before either of us could say anything else, Bumblebee and Bulkhead came rolling in, transforming into their bipedal form and seamlessly transitioning into a walk. Optimus turned back to me and I schooled my faceplate features. "If you would please Arcee, will you allow Ratchet to patch in what you saw so that we can see what we are dealing with while you explain?"

I nod my helm at Optimus and looked at Ratchet, nodding to him as well. The medic nodded and reached for his workplace, giving wireless access to my memories was something I rarely did, but frankly it would be much easier to explain with some visual assistance.

With the other autobots, I turn my helm to look at the terminal display as it showed the memory data of my fight with Nemesis Prime. I could already see that they were slightly interested in the difference in appearance between Nemesis and Optimus.

"So is that how you'd look if you took on a flying alt-form Optimus?" Bulkhead couldn't help but ask, and I had to think that too, I wasn't exactly in the right mindset at the time to inspect Nemesis. As I was fighting the abomination in the first place.

Optimus turned slightly to Bulkhead before looking back at the display. "Perhaps it would have been, but for now let us focus on what Arcee can tell us."

I shook my helm and spoke. "I don't really know what to say that isn't already being shown by the display, Nemesis Prime is faster than I thought, whoever is behind its wheel has a reaction time on par with faster mechs, which is surprising given the one controlling it has to be human."

"Although that may be true, my double seems to be exhibiting strange behavior. You were hanging off a cliff and yet the replica saw fit to... play a recording of your voice and then leave." I had to nod at that, it isn't like M.E.C.H to just pass up a chance to capture a cybertronian, especially a live one like they did with Breakdown a long while ago.

"You're right Optimus, it doesn't make sense. I'm not complaining, but why did M.E.C.H let me go in the first place? You were still a fair distance away, and I would not have been able to take your copy on if it decided to grapple and capture me." I nearly shuddered, as Bulkhead's recount of how he found Breakdown at the tunnels painted a really bleak picture should I have been whisked away by Nemesis.

Bumblebee stepped forward to place his servo on my shoulder comfortingly, I placed my own servo on top of his and gave him a thankful smile. I looked back at the display as it repeated showing Nemesis 'running away' from my camera and flying off.

"We do at least know that Nemesis Prime now has a larger area of influence, with access to aerial capabilities my double is now able of possibly appearing anywhere. Perhaps that is what M.E.C.H is accomplishing first, giving Nemesis flight capabilities makes it a more mobile threat and who knows when the group will strike again." Optimus intoned gravely, but also determined. I can't help but think he was slightly challenged by Nemesis coming back, but I mentally shook my helm at that, that isn't like Optimus to act in that manner.

"What if you guys are looking at it from the wrong angle?" I turned to see it was Raf who spoke that, hmm Miko, Jack, and his mother June are there too.

"What do you mean Raf?" Bumblebee asked with a beep and a tilt of his helm, curious at what the smart human child is thinking of.

"Yes, care to explain your theory Rafael?" Optimus nodded his helm as he turned around and stepped closer to the raised platform and looked at Raf in particular.

"What if M.E.C.H isn't controlling Nemesis Prime?" Huh, that is... a rather interesting theory. I can't help but run what Raf said through my drives and processors.

"Preposterous! Nemesis Prime could only move under the control of a human element, the only ones who have access to the controller in the first place is M.E.C.H itself. How would it not be controlled by M.E.C.H?" Ratchet rebuffed Raf's theory with evidence gathered from Optimus and Agent Fowler's findings.

"Well, you said Energon is said to be the Lifeblood of your God Primus right? What if the energon decided to bring Nemesis to life? You know, like how Dark Energon brought Megatron back?"

"That is-" "Then that would mean that Nemesis would essentially be a newborn, a sparkling in an adult frame if you will." Just as Ratchet was about to say how crazy that line of thought was, Optimus interrupted him and gently spoke to Rafael.

"Your theory has been noted, and although it may be one that is extremely unlikely. There is also a chance that it may be true as well."

Ratchet didn't like the sound of that, he rounded on Optimus raising his hands in a slight pleading motion. "Optimus, the effects of energon on machines other than cybertronians have already been tested and catalogued. Energon doesn't bring machines to life and transform them into cybertronians."

"But the Allspark is capable of doing so." Optimus patiently spoke back.

Bulkhead, Bumblebee, and I were watching this slight back and forth as Ratchet stumbles on his words. The Allspark, the vital piece of Cybertron's core, an important part of Primus. Last I remember, the Allspark is how Primus creates sparks for cybertronians and their sparklings.

"The Allspark is a piece of Primus. If one uses human terminology, the Allspark is Primus' heart, and Primus is the heart of Cybertron. Energon is his Lifeblood and what we use to function, it is not unfair to think that energon could be used to bring a machine to life." Ratchet could only look down as Optimus explained one of the most important artifacts of cybertronian history to the humans.

"But Nemesis Prime was already capable of transforming and fighting on its own. How would it know how to do that if it was newly born like what Raf said?" Bulkhead piped up with a confused look on the big lug's faceplate, Bumblebee shrugged and let out a few beeps which could be translated to 'Beats me.'.

"Uhh, it's a robot? Doesn't that mean it has memory drives of its own?" Jack threw out a guess, and that kind of makes sense. There has to be several computer systems within that thing but still, it is hard to believe that.

"Regardless, our new mission is clear. Nemesis Prime is acting differently than when we last encountered my double, for now if there are any sightings of Nemesis, then we will simply watch and minimize any casualties within its vicinity." That's fair enough, if it is being controlled by M.E.C.H, then we can ambush and frag the thing, but if it is actually sentient then we can observe its behavior.

I highly doubt that the thing is actually sentient, and yet that little parting message it gave me. I can't help but wonder if Raf is right? The... implications of something like this disturbs me more than I'd like to admit.

So is going to start thinking that it imprinted on her from that message it gave her. If so, I would find it to be quint funny.

No POV

Starscream ducked behind a corner holding his handheld energon rifle, peaking around the corner the seeker quickly pulled back as null ray beams nearly took off his helm. The seeker cursed as leaned his weapon around and fired blindly, feeling a phantom sting of agony across his arm made him know he landed a glancing blow on his wayward clone.

Taking a chance, Starscream then left his cover and aimed one of his wrist mounted rockets before firing at his clone's general direction. The seeker then ran across the room to get behind one of the larger sturdier tanks, and just in time too as newly revived null ray beams landed right where he was previously standing.

"It only took me a while to realize that the 'Original' air commander lost his wings quite some time ago. With you out of the way, I will be the 'TRUE' Starscream!" Clonescream taunted from across the wrecked lab behind one of the machines.

"By the Allspark, am I really this CHATTY?!" Starscream whispered with more than a hint of frustration as he waited for a lul in the null ray barrage before peeking around and briefly noticing the guarded stance the clone had, the right arm was being hidden behind and was smoking. Combined with the earlier phantom pain it showed how much damage he did.

Though Starscream didn't come out without some scraps of his own, both of his precious wings had a few holes in them and he had a bit of a gash on his arm when both he and his clone got into CQC with the other for a moment.

Leaning out of cover, the seeker then aimed his rifle and tried to take the head or spark off of his traitorous clone. However the clone saw his attempt and ducked behind his own cover, Starscream kept his gaze and weapon trained on the clonescream's cover as there was no way for him to get out of it unless the clone decides to try and break Starscream's focused aim.

As he does so the flightless seeker began going around his cover and closer to his clone's cover, although he was making sure he was behind other cover as he strafed around. What happened next saved his spark, Clonescream's arm came around the cover with a missile extended. Starscream took aim at the arm and fired at the missile, it hit and Clonescream's arm blew up and fell to the ground.

Starscream felt the pain transfer to his own arm but without the actual damage, letting out a vent of pain the original looked up to see Clonescream on the floor clutching at the stump that used to have a functioning arm.

To the original it was some kind of cosmic joke as it was the right arm that got blown off, exactly like his did when he taunted Optimus Prime with dark energon while resurrecting Skyquake.

The seeker began walking towards the downed clone and aimed the rifle at his helm, right between his red optics. Clonescream looked fearful but he also sneered up at original, noting his silence and the fact he still hadn't died yet. "What? Not going to gloat? You have defeated me and I am at your mercy, you knew I would betray you."

Rolling his own optics, Starscream prepared to pull the trigger on his clone when something froze the both of them in their tracks. A faint sound, that did NOT come from either of them. The two seekers snapped their helms to the only door to the room and stared at it for a brief few moments.

"Did one of the other clones survive and return?" Starscream muttered questioningly, only to be surprisingly answered by the clone.

"N-no, I saw Megatron offline the rest of the clones. I should be the only one left." Clonescream looked hesitant as he stared at the door, conveniently forgetting about the energon rifle being pointed at his faceplate.

"Then you have been followed! Megatron must have sent some minions to kill you and you led them right here!" Starscream hissed as he prepared to shoot his traitorous clone.

Clonescream however raised his hand and pleaded to the original. "Wait, wait, wait! I can help you! I'll serve under you! Together we can crush the intruders!"

Starscream mentally sneered at that. "Do you really think I would fall for my own ploy?"

Clonescream continued to try and convince the seeker. "But you have no idea how many intruders there may be! You will need all the help you can get in order to deal with them!"

Starscream POV

I'd be a fool to trust my clone, especially since he tried to offline me just a little bit earlier. But he is indeed correct, I have no clue as to how many intruders are even on this ship. But I can at least say that it may be seeker vehicons as they are the only ones with the flight capable forms to keep up with my alt form.

Granted there may be a few Raider Vehicons but they rarely come close, most of their weaponry puts them at a longer range in engagements. Regardless, it may be a good idea to have my clone be at the forefront to soak up any damage when we find them.

So with that thought in mind, I took a few steps back but I kept the rifle trained on my traitorous clone. "Then you won't mind being the first one to scout and fight."

As soon as I said that, I saw my clone's faceplate twist into one of disbelief before resignation. Oh I can't wait to be rid of this and be rid of the disturbing feeling and this accursed connected feeling. It is going to hurt like scrap but it only needs to happen once.

Clone-Me stood up slowly, warily watching me as I motion with my helm towards the door. He let out a grumble as he picked up his arm from the floor and tried to re-attach it to himself. Didn't exactly work and he knew it, grumbling even more the mech walked to the door as he took off the missile and attached it to his functioning arm with a bit of difficulty.

The both of us then walked towards the door, with the Clone-Me being in the front and myself being a good short distance behind him with my energon rifle trained on the back of his helm.

When the door opened to the dark hallway, I fought down a chill running up my back strut as I watch Clone-Me look down both hallways looking just as unnerved as I was feeling. That one noise was not being replicated and it is making me feel more than a little paranoid.

Another noise caused the both of us to snap our helms in that direction, it was to our left and towards the storage area, the one near the only entrance of the Harbinger. Looking at my clone we shared a look before we aimed our weapons down the hall and began slowly walking towards the storage area.

The lack of working lights made this situation all the more grim, who knows what might come out of the darkness. We reached the door to the storage area and the Clone-Me was about to open it when I stopped him. "Wait." I whispered as I held up a servo digit and listened through the door.

Seeing me do so caused the Clone-Me to do the same, we heard nothing and that was more than a bit concerning. Clone-Me pressed the console to open the door and after a few silent moments, pressed it again. "Argh come on you stupid piece of junk. Work!" I watch as he slammed a fist onto the terminal and the door began opening, it was at this moment I saw it.

Those were pedes.

Those were BIG pedes.

From the corner of my vision I saw the Clone-Me also noticed it and we both watched with rising dread as the door slowly rose up.

Blue, Red, and White, that color scheme is incredibly familiar and my first thought was that this was no Decepticon. This was Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots.

The door stopped halfway through opening and I looked to the side to see the Clone-Me rapidly pressing the close button on the terminal. It was a sound plan, only for it to be interrupted as a large servo came underneath the door and began forcing it up.

We back up aiming our weapons at the lone prime as his yellow gaze was revealed when he forced the rest of the door open. 'Wait, since when were Prime's optics yellow?'

But before I could think of anything else, we watch with dread as Optimus began aiming one of his blasters at us. Thinking fast, I attempted to go behind my clone, only to run into him as he thought of the same idea and we both fell just as Prime's blaster fired and barely missed our heads by a mere micron.

This is not good, Prime's little autobot must have expired and he must be hunting me as I was one of the main culprits for his confinement to the berth.

Optimus Prime just stayed silent as he slammed and broke the door with his servo before he began walking through, aiming his blaster at us. Letting out a scream of fear, I raised my energon rifle and fired at him. The autobot leader twisted his chassis and the blaster fire missed, just as I was about to fire again he raised his own blaster and shot at the rifle in my servos.

I felt my optics widen as I throw the rifle at him, the weapon exploded and smoke covered the room. Reaching for my clone I pull him up. "We are leaving come on!" I yell as blaster fire began coming through the smoke, signifying that he wasn't even slowed down by the explosion.

"You don't need to tell me twice!" Clone-Me yelled as the we began running back down the hall as fast as we could.

The sound of pedes slamming down behind the both of us combined with the blaster fire gave me the idea that Optimus was chasing us. Turning to my clone I watch as he transformed into a damaged fighter form and grabbed at his wing just as he flew off.

Unfortunately fate was not on our side, as a blaster bolt struck the fighter's engine and we crashed into a ramp, my clone now prone as I stood up slightly disoriented just slightly ahead of him. As soon as I turned around to see my clone, I saw Prime right behind the clone.

Without a second thought I turned back and ran away in fear, only to stumble as pain spread throughout my legs. Turning back, I saw Prime just finished stabbing his blades into Clone-Me's legs, energon leaking as Prime quickly aimed his blaster at the Clone-Me's faceplate.

I knew my fate was sealed as the merciless Prime turned his own helm to face me just as he fired his blaster at the pleading clone's face. The blast of pain was nothing next to the sheer dread I was feeling as the clone perished, and I was alone on the floor and helpless.

"W-wait Prime! Is this about Cliffjumper?! I swear I was being merciful! I was only trying to help!" I tried to calm the Prime down as I crawl backwards away from the slowly stomping Prime, the darkness of the hall shadowing the Prime's appearance combined with his yellow lit optics made the autobot leader just as terrifying as Megatron in his rage.

Seeing Optimus Prime be so silent and so brutal made him quite the horrifying fighter.

To be honest, I thought I would be going down in a blaze of glory in the future. Become the ruler of the decepticons and fall in some epic duel.

Just as I scream in fear at the slowly reaching servo, I only had one thought.

"This wasn't fair!" Before darkness consumed my vision and I thought no more.

Yeh, it's back. I've missed you. Is it bad that I hoped that the clone would have survived and ended up being that female clone from transformer animated?

It's popped up a few times outside g-1.

The thing about his spark was mostly just a theory from beast wars... admittedly a pretty good theory based on how much shit Rampage's spark went through before it finally gave the hell up.

Vaguely remember something about G1 Starscream's spark being described as a mutated indestructible spark capable of self-sustaining outside of the spark chamber.

So just because he's physically dead doesn't mean he can't still be an annoyance.

It LIIIIIIIIIIIIVES!

Also, RIP Screamer, you deserved better. Perhaps not much better, but still.
