Stark Transcendent (Iron Man/Marvel Quest)

[X] Disarm Gandhi : Go for the weapon first, disarming the brute and perhaps getting rid of the nuclear power-source. Between you and Peter, then, it should be a cinch to shut the guy up permanently. You can then move on to more important things.
[X] Interrogate Her : try to capture the woman to get some answers out of her - you can perhaps figure out if she's the ringleader of the whole affair, or if she's just another hired assassin that's been sent to pester you.
-[X] "Spider! Masked woman!"
[X] General Resistance : The primary weaknesses of any computer-driven suit are going to be its electronics, and you'll have to make sure they can't just burn out or freeze over. Resisting electronic shocks and pulses will help you against brute force tactics, and protection against extreme temperatures should help with flying.

I'm about to leave, so have a good week and I'll see you back friday or saturday. If you're in London, wave at anyone who looks hilariously dutch, it might be me.

[X] Conventional Weapon Slots

Because this one option will give us tons of weapons and expand our Loadout... The Tradeoff is definitely worth it as we would have options to take down the enemies instead of just relying on our armor and hope that we can last long enough to take them down....

And if the radiation fries the electronics before we can use any of those fancy weapons?
Stay out of range and spam it at him...

We have missiles, lasers maybe even 1 or 2 guns! After all Conventional Weapon slots are filled with the other weapons developed by Stark Industries! AKA mostly lethal ones, so yeah more options that tanking and duking it out...

"They've got a nuke in there?" You demanded incredulously. "Since when? Why didn't you notice it before? How do nukes appear out of thin air?" You skidded to a halt as you saw a positively huge figure departing the ship, carrying an oversized gun under his arm. "It's not - that guy, is it? What are we dealing with, here? A dirty bomb?"
3
Fantastic - another super soldier. That was a secondary concern, though, for the moment. "I'm more worried about the radiation," you muttered. "Beta radiation - that's electrons. What the hell would put out mass quantities of those? Some kind of weird railgun? Star Trek phasers?" You were about to make up something else, when you noticed it. A blue glow that emanated from the top of the weapon. "Jarvis - what's the power source on that thing, exactly?"

Recording or not, if the gun didn't really run on an arc reactor, the blue glow would have to make sense another way - and the electrons were the key to solving that puzzle. When particles were accelerated to a higher speed than light in a medium, which possible, then a special kind of radiation was emitted. Usually that just happened in nuclear pools - but here it was happening right in front of your eyes. These were the telltale shine of Cherenkov radiation.
Unshielded drones are likely to fry far more quickly than the ironman suit electronics which at least have large metal plates in the way to protect against some of the radiation damage.

Beta radiation is the biggest threat to stark right now, he even explicitly states this himself.

It is important that we try to disable that nuke as soon as possible, killing him (while efficient) is unnecessarily brutal for our first team up with Peter.

[x] Interrogate Her : try to capture the woman to get some answers out of her - you can perhaps figure out if she's the ringleader of the whole affair, or if she's just another hired assassin that's been sent to pester you.

This is a bit risky, she might try to attack us if we capture her, but letting her walk free (while being tracked) could allow her time to contact reinforcements, or her boss who could do anything, no, it is best to keep her within arms reach.

[ ] Conventional Weapon Slots : Repulsors aren't nearly enough. You have a small arsenal of weapons your company's developed, and you'll put them to use. Micro-missiles, lasers, flares - it all fits.

This one is difficult, obviously if we hope to survive the radiation (suit intact) then we need better armor, but we will still have to get in close to use our repulsors, getting closer will increase the amount of radiation that we are exposed to, and this is only partially finished if our armor is insufficient and we get close then we are dead in the water,

But weapons are something that Tony is good at, (especially traditional weapons) and will allow us to stay well out of the range of the radiation while still attacking, if we have armor piercing rounds then we could try to pierce his kevlar with them, if not then we can draw his attention with small arms fire while Rhodey takes the shot,

Anyway, I just finished reading the thread (figures that QM goes on hiatus the day i finish reading,) Loving it so far, Roarian does great characterization. (love your fanfic's by the way) and i like how things have parallels to canon while being completely different (the gas is a great example) that in mind I think that if we cure the palladium poisoning then stark will just succumb to the pyre he was exposed to, (although that is massive speculation and is probably wrong)

Speaking of Pyre, next time we get a chance we should install a small amount of it in our suit, while it would be completely unacceptable on normal targets, it would be useful for combating regenerating foes like deadpool.

and considering the fates, we should probably try to get The Phoenix-Killer Armor

Disabling the weapon and power source takes priority. The thing sounds nasty if it already puts out severe levels of radiation without being fired. It would be rather unfortunate if the power source can function as a mini-nuke, too. If Peter and Tony tag-team him he should go down quickly before he can get up to any shenanigans. Peter should keep his distance and support us from afar until the radiation is at safe levels, then he can help us take the enemy down. He has no effective protection and radiation burns are rather nasty, even if beta radiation only goes skin-deep (besides the cancer risk that is enough to damage the eyes and cause blindness).

[X] Track Her Movements : Let her escape, but make sure she can't go anywhere without being tracked. You can perhaps figure out who is responsible for the weapon thefts.

As much as I would like to capture and interrogate her, it would cost us time. We need to get inside the ship. Considering that she is a professional I doubt we would be able to get anything useful out of her in the time available, either. If we track her we can lead Shield to her or something.

We face an enemy whose weapon puts out enough radiation to glow. Without protection the electronics of our suit will end up fried, especially if we have to tank a hit from the weapon.

[X] Let's Split Up : You duke it out with the big brute, while Peter sneaks in and fetches Obi. With his skills and weapons, Peter's far better off than you are inside a confined space, and he's smart enough to get out before it gets hairy.

It's better than it was. It was -4 originally, but heroic action against Deadpool and talking with Coulson improved it by 1 point each. See the results of the last arc.

While I agree with your conclusion, I feel that's a rather ungenerous interpretation of Tony's actions. There was certainly no flat refusal as you claim. We didn't act without SHIELD support because we wanted to, but rather because we weren't confident that Obi would remain safe through the delay required for SHIELD forces to arrive on site.

They still aren't going to be all that happy with us putting our selves in danger.
