Honestly the jedi shouldn't be a political faction here. Our best bet is evacuate everyone to the Outer Rim temples. Find that one planet from Jedi Suviror and rebuild the order with that as the new main site.

Rather then enforcing the rule of the republic have knights do pilgrimages through the outer rim helping people, learning about themselves and the galaxy as they wander. Then they return to the temple and share what they learned into the new temple archives so that all Jedi can share in the wisdom.

Idea to help keep things on the down low for the Jedi. Rather then calling themselves jedi we find Tanalorr and refer to the Order as the Tanalorr Conclave. An organization composed of force sensitives and non force sensitive dedicated to self improvement and aiding the people of the Outer Rim.

Here's the thing. And this is my reasoning.

"What Jedi?"

The order has just been kneecapped. Lost multiple masters and council members, entire clans of younglings, the temple was purged. And the Jedi who survived order 66 are scattered all around the galaxy. Many of them young or with their training incomplete. And the clone wars has seen the role of Jedi shift from mediators and wise diplomats to warriors and generals. Many of the former in point of fact died in the first Battle of the clone wars.

Hundreds of dead Jedi in the Arena on geonosis just to begin with. Many of those with less focus on lightsaber skills to boot. So the Winnowing effect that the Clone wars had, meant any remaining Jedi had a large focus on combat, such that several conversations the council had during/near the end of the war was that too many Jedi had grown up, effectively, as soldiers of the republic.

The Jedi had their failings. Many things they are/were criticised for. And there were those within the order itself who called for reform and changes in the way of doing things.

And now, with so much of the Jedi order damaged and in need of rebuilding. I guess the question becomes, what does the order become?

It's a 'jedi quest' sure. But, what does being a jedi actually mean? What direction do we want to take it in?

With Yoda at it's head, I don't there would be as much change as you'd think. But who knows. It'll be up to 0th law.

Also, I doubt anybody knows about tanallor in any capacity, the temple's records where either wiped or destroyed and since tanallor dates back to the high Republic times or earlier it's supremely unlikely any information on it would survive.

Besides, this is right after palps was assassinated nobody in their right mind would help the jedi at this stage.

[X] Avi Singh, Separatist Senator of Raxus Secundus, and the current Speaker of the Separatist Parliament after Dooku. While generally unopposed domestically after the slaughter of the Separatist Council by Darth Vader, he now has to contend with the realities of being the head of a government that has perpetuated countless atrocities, while also having little to no military to speak of after the deactivation of the Droid Army by Nute Gunray.

Which doesn't change what we do short term: get to the Outer Rim and start searching for the scattered survivors. With palp and Vader dead there isn't gonna be a truly effective and focused effort to hunt the jedi via an inquisition, this makes hiding and rescuing other jedi easier.

Still won't be in any way easy, there will be probable jedi hunts anyway and the empire very well be more ruthless as a result of such a early assassination. We basically start out with no resources and no friends.

Also it kinda stings to see those Singh votes come out after the vote is done not gonna lie.

There will also be the truly hard part. Convincing Ahsoka to come back because I want her back in the Jedi dammit. It will help that the council is for the most part gone.

not really sure how much freedom we're going to have to change the jedi order (like as an example reversing the changes from the Ruusan Reformation) with Yoda at the helm

Functionally speaking, the Ruusan Reformation has largely been abandoned by the Jedi Order by this point. The Reformation demilitarized the Order, while in the Clone Wars, nearly all active Jedi held military ranks. Additionally, the "centralization of the Order under the Republic and in Coruscant" part is... impossible at this point. Yes, the Jedi still only train initiates from very young ages, but that is honestly a fairly minor point in the grand scheme of things, and it may very well be reexamined, if only for the sake of rebuilding the ranks.

Defining "Home"
(Note: Part of this chapter is paraphrased from the Revenge of the Sith novelization by Matthew Stover)

You are Grandmaster Yoda of the Jedi Order, although that title means… less than it used to. You have lived for nearly nine-hundred years, and have been a Jedi for the vast majority of them. You lived through the Golden Age, the Great Peace of the Republic, and you were there as it deteriorated into a fascist empire. Part of that was the result of the Sith's machinations, yes, but it was undeniable that you could have done more, could have done better. You failed to help, to let the Order change as the Galaxy changed, and it cost the Jedi nearly everything. Regardless of what path you take, it will be a difficult one.

But it is not one that you will need to tread alone. Not only are you working directly with Obi-Wan Kenobi, but you also have been in contact with the spirit of his master, and as you find more survivors, more Jedi will be able to aid in rebuilding and reforming the Order.

Around a conference table on Tantive IV, Bail Organa, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and you meet to decide the fate of the galaxy.

"To Naboo, send her body…" You stretch your head high, as though tasting a current in the Force. "Pregnant, she must appear. Hidden, safe, the children must be kept. Foundation of the new Jedi Order, they will be."

"Agreed." Obi-Wan says. "Regardless of where we go from now, we should protect them — train them as Anakin should have been trained."

Are you going to train the children?

[ ] Yes. With the Sith gone from the galaxy, there is no risk to training people in the Force, and there is significantly less of a reason to split up. You and the other Jedi will be able to not only teach the children, but also learn from them as you change your methods of teaching.

[ ] No. The Order is going to need new ideas and fresh perspectives, and on the new path the Order is taking, it is clear that their lessons will need to come from the Living Force, instead of the rigid hand of a millennium of traditions and teachings.
-[ ] Have them be raised by their closest family, on Tatooine.
-[ ] Have them adopted by Bail and Breha Organa.
-[ ] Write-In.

After that question is settled, you move on to the next topic, one of equal import. "A new home, we must seek. A danger for all Jedi, Coruscant is."

"You could come to Alderaan." Bail suggests. "We'd be able to use all of our power to protect and hide you, as well as make sure you have all your needs met. And once the Republic is restored, your Order will be more easily reintegrated."

"But it's still under Imperial occupation." Obi-Wan points out. "A couple dozen Jedi could hide there, yes, but more, and we'll draw suspicion."

Where do you choose to take the Order?

[ ] Alderaan. While it may be under the Empire, limiting the number of Jedi that can take refuge there, it will allow you to work much more closely with Bail Organa as he works to restore the Republic, and it will ensure a stable lifestyle for the Order.

[ ] Ossus. The second home of the Jedi, and home to countless relics from the pre-Republic Jedi and beyond. It is largely barren and inhospitable, and while that will pose its own challenges, those will be far easier for the Jedi to overcome than anyone who would try to find you. Additionally, given its location, it will be far easier to conduct missions, outreach or otherwise, in the Outer Rim. However, it is also fairly known to the Empire, meaning that Jedi Hunters could end up becoming a significant problem.

[ ] Tython. The original home of the Jedi, and home to relics from even before the Jedi became the Jedi. Its climate is very conducive to agriculture and anything else the Jedi need to do to sustain themselves. It's largely isolated and unknown, while having a location that's very conducive to conducting missions in the Core. However, it was scarred by the New Sith Wars, and there may very well still be tribal remnants of the Rakata left on the planet.

[ ] Write-In (Note: Tanallor is not an option in this case, in part because I have not played Jedi Survivor, and in part because it's very much not a place the Order could just go to)

I want Luke and Leia trained together since it provides such interesting AU possibilities. We've already killed Palpatine and the Empire is in complete disarray without him, so I say we should depart further from canon.

So far I'm interested in Tython but does anyone have any interesting ideas?
We could always try heading to Dweem and seeing if the Iron Knights would be interested in helping us rebuild the Order. Dweem is pretty remote, and since we're trying to learn from our past mistakes, integrating them into the Order would provide us with some much-needed manpower and broaden our perspectives on the Force.

Corellia maybe? Still an integral part of the Republic, so we dont look like we are abandoning it. And the Green Jedi are there, and might be willing to help.

Though that's a strong MIGHT since the relations between the main Order and the Greens was frosty at best.

[X] Corellia, home to the Green Jedi as well as a founding member of the Republic. The Temple may no longer be safe, but the Jedi cannot afford to be seen abandoning the Republic.
