Star Wars: A Padawans Tale: Episode II: A New Galaxy (A CK2/Adventure Quest)

So... I've got the second update... anyone want it now or later?

The Force And You
The Force And You

You smiled as you saw the Father. "Oh… It's you again." He said with a groan. "You are worse than that Skywalker in some ways did you know that?"

What a way to start a conversation. Of course, you only continued to smile. "Really? Am I the chosen one then?" You wanted to ignore this… thing that was before you, that was consumed in the Force. But to make things simpler.. .you might as well annoy him because he was invading your dreams, and they were your darn it!

"No." He replied with a groan. "But you should not exist."

"Oh, but I like existing, it means I'm part of something awesome."

The Father did not look amused at your attempts at being annoying, clearly seeing that you did not like your dreams hijacked. "No, I mean you should not exist. You are an anomaly that neither the Force nor I understand."

"What am I a character in some game being controlled by some people who think I am an amazing, but flawed main character?" You said, folding your arms.

The Father did not like that and he slapped you. "You are playing with the destiny we have set out for the Galaxy. For the rest of the universe that has been disrupted. It can get worse from here. Only get worse from here."

You frowned and rubbed your stinging cheek. "Well, I'd rather have a choice to make it better, than have it only get worse under your control. The Force doesn't control all life… we have control of it too."

"You truly think that your actions made the Galaxy better?" The Father asked. "The war will get worse, this will end only when one side is completely destroyed and the sith and the Jedi are wiped out from existence!"

"Is that what you want? Everything you know destroyed!"

You frowned. "You make it seem like it's inevitable that we will be destroyed, that our actions only lead to death and destruction. So let me ask you this Father?" You stated. "What about Jacen Skywalker? Is he something that can only lead to destruction?"

"Every action you have taken will destroy this galaxy." The Father said. "There is no balance in the Force!"

"Balance comes from an equilibrium and choices made, not from forcing something to your will… You think everything will be destroyed because it does not fit your prophecies, your vision… why not be open-minded. Be ready for the future and just be capable of adapting? Has the Force forgotten how to do that in its millions of years of existence?"

The Father paused. Than said. "Do not make me regret this."

"I hope I don't." You replied.

And the Dream became your own again.

Reward:

The Force is….

Calmer… more susceptible to change… but more capable of bringing balance to both its life… and its users.

Unknown Effect on later turns.

I suspect we may be able to best tailor our appeal if we can speak each Master's language. For healers, we discuss an infected wound; for Mace, we discuss a cracked speeder windscreen (repair it and it will be less likely to shatter, continue on and it will slowly crack from that point). If something which threatens the whole galaxy would be worsened by inaction, then taking action to improve it is needful.

Good news at least...

THe Padawans are very open to tell you what they belive is wrong with the Order.

Hint, it's Everything. :V

Master Windu, at least in OTL, loved The Republic so much it was his attachment. Perhaps here his attachment is the Jedi Order, the status quo of the Jedi.

The problem is when you run a "support my country (organization), regardless of if they're right or wrong" character into a "my country should be something I can be proud of, when it is wrong it should be steered right" character.

Your not wrong.

But it's mostly because we changed his mind, plus you know...

Papa Palps kinda broke his faith in the Republic.

We could possibly get a lot of support from the Jedi service Corps by making ways for them to continue their Jedi education rather than just shunting them off as failures after a lifetime of promising them a destiny as Jedi
Also perhaps a better PR and easier access to information about the force and the reason as to why children are taken young
EDIT*-Also how many seats on the council will 90% sure vote for us

Like I said, the Padawans have lots of problems with the order.

And by Lots, I mean everything with the Order.

The Galactic Rumor Mill 1
The Galactic Rumor Mill:

The Galactic Republic:

The Jedi Order:D100 => 49

The Jedi Order has remained in a stance of insulation, with only a few Jedi, mostly ones who were already on thin ice with the council or Jedi that know that the War is still needing the fighting… left. Jedi like Even Piel who wish to fight and save the Republic.

Leading Armies like generals of a bygone age. And while the Council has not exiled them, they have not welcomed them back with open arms.

The Clamors for an Army of Light, or at very least a change in how the Jedi is seen by the Republic, which the young Padawans, who call themselves "The Children of the Force at War" see it, as an uneven and abusive partnership, with the Republic using the Jedi orders powers, influence and skills to solve its problems, instead of taking action when it should have.

The Jedi are peacekeepers, but why does the Republic rob this order blind?

They are guardians of the Peace, but why does the Republic not try to help systems that are in need of true assistance…

The Jedi, in their eyes, is an arm of the Republic.

When the Jedi is something far more than that, for the whole Galaxy.

Reward: The Jedi is in a very… precarious situation, and it may blow up soon… if not dealt with.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Grand Army of the Republic: D100 => 97

The GAR… to describe the force that has single-handedly saved the Republic while the Jedi have… retreated to get some work done is impossible. the Clones and their officers, men of steller caliber, have risen to the task of fighting near unwinnable battles and not only winning… but crushing the enemy at every turn.

Supreme Commander Yularen has been everything that an army needs him to be. Active, Energetic, always aware of the great game that is in front of him, seeing his forces and knowing his forces and how to best use them in any given situation effectively

Even his Chief of Staff, the Unenviable but never uncomfortable and uncompromising Admiral Tarkin, has turned an otherwise impossible staff situation, and a stunning lack of competent officers for staff and field work, into something that he has built from the ground up.

His 90-day wonders, officers from the volunteer regiments and untrained officers who have maybe commanded no more than a squad of militia… into brilliant fighting men and women who are not only capable but have earned the respect of the clowns that had been fighting in the war.

If the Jedi come back… they may not just be generals in every legion… They may be something far more… or less.

Reward:

The Grand Army of the Republic is working on many of its shortcomings and has come up with genius solutions that have earned the respect of the Public, and the awe of almost every observer, from every planet.

The 90 Day wonders are widely considered an effective emergency measure to produce competent officers, though the Republic Judicial Academy, now the Grand Army Military institution, has begun starting classes for the Republic Army again.

The first time such a class has been formed since the Sith Wars.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Clones:D100 => 79

To say the Clone Troopers are high in morale and standing, does not begin to say their skills.

While they were bred for war, this war, a stalemate of raids and counterraids, has shown them at their very best. They are good soldiers. Good Warriors…

Good Men.

Reward: The Clones now that they are being treated as men… are fighting far harder than anyone believed they could have.
---------------------------------------------------

The Volunteers:D100 => 38

The First, Second, and Third Volunteer Legions, as they are called, made up of Freshly trained Volunteers are not… what one would call reinforcements that the Clones could count on.

They are raw. They are not prepared for the rigors of war, and they are… more motivated by money and glory, which the Clones do not like.

It's telling that at headquarters, there are no less than two clone commanders speaking of the ill-discipline of the Legions, and the atmosphere among the two camps are clearly…

Not shared.

Professionalism and discipline are lacking.

But what concerns the Clones, is the numbers. There are more, and more, and more coming, a neverending stream of replacements for those who died or got kicked out.

Reward: The Volunteers are not a hardened force. They are green, raw, able to learn, but not willing to learn from their battle-hardened comrades.

Those that do, end up surviving.

Those that don't… well, will learn. Or die.
----------------------------------------------------------------

Chancellor Organa:D100 => 66

The Chancellor is in a sticky situation. He wishes to return the Emergency powers to the Senate, but he is being pressured by his top Generals and advisors to remain with such powers until the war ends.

He feels if he does not give himself some guidelines, he will be nothing more than a successor to Palpatine, so he did.

Reward: Chancellor Organa has given restrictions to his Emergency Powers, especially when it involves orders… like Order 66. He does not want to have that kind of sole authority over that kind of power.

He however is still very much in command of the strategy of the Grand Army of the Republic and its Doctrine.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Senate:D100 => 80

Senator Skywalker, the Majority Leader of the Newly formed and elected Senate, has announced that there would be new legislation, to attempt to answer many of the causes of the Republics' issues…

And while many scoff at it as an idealist's crusade to end a war, her options and organizational methods to use existing units and commissars and judicial's to write the reports and try to give answers in a quick and speedy manner.

Reward: De Sepretisitcation? Desithification? Anti Curroptions mesures?

Call it what you want, change is coming to the Republic… whether it's a good thing or a bad thing, we won't know till it's over.
---------------------------------------------------------
The Core:D100 => 58

The Core, while not entirely happy with the lack of government money coming its way with the new Chancellor and Senate makeup, nonetheless are happy..

They are happy that they still have control over the key shipyards.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Mid Rim:D100 => 30

The Mid rim has reported Slave ships and slave raids on their planet, one very concerning report comes from Kashyyyk…

Twenty thousand wookies taken in only two hours.

Reward: Slave raids are striking the Mid rim, the soft underbelly of the Republic, from unknown hyperspace lanes.

They are targetting Wookies.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Outer Rim:D100 => 90

To describe the Outer Rims...well the Loyal Outer Rims turn is a difficult thing to say. With the reformation of Elections and districts, they now have numerous voices in the Galactic senate pushing for more funds to develop the worlds, to protect them against the Hutts and slavers and syndicates.

And they are beginning to fight back.

Reward: Um… There are revolts all over Hutt space. And the GAR is helping them?

Well, the volunteers are anyway?
----------------------------------------------
Unrest Roll:D100 => 19

The Republic is not in any worry of Unrest, the blame of so much pain now solely on one man.

Reward: The Republic's Anger is now squarely on Papa Palps
--------------------------------------------

CIS:

Papa Palpatine: D100 => 96

"This Confederacy will be reorganized, into the FIRST GALACTIC EMPIRE!"

Senator Bontari could only watch and say… "Well now… this is how democracy dies… with a thunderous applause."

Lux looked at her with bewilderment. "Where did you come up with that, that sounds like something Padme would say?"

"Oh hush now Lux, you know as well as I do, that Padme always had a flair for the Dramatic, it's who she is."

Reward: Papa Palps… Formed the Empire.

Well it could be worse?

The Droid Army:D100 => 13

The Droid army is suffering from a severe lack of… competence.

The army is ill-programed, and ill equipped to deal with this… new volunteer army.

It will take years to see it done.

Reward: The Droid Army is in tatters.

The Officers of the CIS:D100 => 8

Almost every officer among the CIS Army not loyal to Palpatine was sacked or killed.

There aren't many officers.

Reward: there is an Extreme officer shortage in the CIS ranks.

The Zygerian Empire:D100 => 100

The queen smiled. "Tell me, Emperor, what is it you offer in exchange for my slaves?"

"Everything that the Republic has taken from you?" The Emperor said with a coy, almost playful tone.

"Very well."

Reward:

Well… Slavers are going to Slave.

They have entered an Alliance with the Empire to build a new empire.

(OOC: Where Billy Yank when you need him.)

AN: The State of the Galaxy currently.

There would be more but I'm tired.

Well the chancellor was over thrown and massive changes and reforms are happening.

In the history books it would probably be referenced as the end of the old system of the Republic and the start of a new one.

*Looks at Palps and zygerian rolls*.........oh f**k, that's where our important rolls went. Oh man, this is gonna get crazy and I am both afraid and intrigued by this. Basically keep up the good work @Magoose.

Sithsbane: You have a penchant for making a certain siths plan go awry… every time. (Unknown Effect, but you do gain roll bonuses against Palpatine… Somehow?)

I'm surprised that Obi-Wan doesn't have this trait too considering how often he's been a monkey-wrench in Sith plans. We are too, but we're just more annoying about it.

"The last time that was called, it was led by Revan during the Mandalorian Wars." Master Kenobi stated. "And led to a Schism within the Jedi Order."

Actually, last time was Lord Hoth, a former Battlemaster of the Jedi. That led to him recruiting kids by the end, slapping spears into their hands, and sending them off to fight the Sith with little to no training.

He's also most of the reason Ruusan was the last battle of the New Sith Wars because he turned that place into his own version of the freakin' Battle of Verdun.

This is all... hilariously worrying. Darth Sidius formed The Empire, got the slavers to help him... yet has his entire army fucked to the upmost degree. The droids are in shambles, all the officers in the army has been killed.

Indeed, this is all very new and very... strange.

P.S. Where are we in the timeline, when it comes to the year of the war in canon (as in how many years before Revenge of the Sith happened in canon?)

IIRC we were in season two of clone wars when Canon got taken out back and shot. (Man what I would've gave to do the quests equivalent of the fifteenth episode of season 4 titled Deception)
