You guys do realize that any nation set up by a mad genius will likely end up like the big empty in a few decades right?

probably worse actually.

it definitely will not resemble an actual functioning society.
[] Mad Genius: People May have mocked you, for your differences, called you a wierdo, a freak, a megalomaniacal psychopath! But you'll show them! You'll Show them all! (+10 to all stats except Diplomancy, -40 Diplomacy, Possibly psychotic, Counts as three traits.)

ummm -40 is a bit much, especially since it counts as three traits.

-30 or -20? sure but 40 just seems a bit much to me.

It's suppose to represent you being a complete fuckup when it comes to understanding or giving a shit about other people.

If it was only -20 or -30, there is chance you could pull yourself out of the hole pretty easily if your base stats rolled high enough.

You don't get a plus ten to every stat without a guaranteed massive downside.

Alrighty then, whats our vote count?

If one group has a big enough lead i'll be locking it here.

Looks like Plan Iron Man and Teacher are tied.

Alright.

Vote closes when I wakeup tomorrow morning.

If anyone else wants to have a say they should hurry up.

[X] Plan Iron Man

Genius is just too good to pass up. It's literally worth 4 or even 5 of the other ones put together.

Also doesn't saddle us with a bunch of kids to look out for, especially since we don't know where they will fall between 8 and 18. Most of them will probably die from the immediate aftermath of the war or we get saddled with tasks like finding their parents (who turn out to be dead).

They will be more of a ressource drain then a benefit.

Yeah... With combat engineer you get just get stuck with neighbors that are adults and wont just listen and do what you say most of the time.

oh and their kids, too.

Your stuck with a group of survivors no matter what, this is supposed to eventually be a civ builder, once you find a good place and have the resources to start building your civ.

@ninjafish this may be an obvious question but will we possibly run into Vaults with varying levels of success? I mean there are some control Vaults and sometimes the social experiments worked out well like Vault 21 though will admit not often.

Will you roll or something in the background with the experiments (if any) they have and how well they handle them?

I've just got the feeling that adults will be easier to handle then a whole bunch of kids. We can use the army engineer background to brow beat people into doing what we are telling them to do, because we are actually trained in survival.
A teacher on the other hand has exactly zero authority after the end, except the kids obeying out of habit.

Furthermore, adults tend to have useful skills like mechanic, plumber, policeman, doctor and so on, while the 12 year old teachers pet who got straight A's in english and art is only useful for menial labor or as a emergency ration.
Mind, we can still end up with Jeff from accounting or Bill from marketing, but the odds of a gem is a lot higher there in my opinion, while the main benefit of the kids seems to be their loyality.
