Springbreaker - A Forever Winter Planquest

You know I been think, @BOTcommander it's possible that we can reversed engeneer Euraska and Eurasia technology for our ends. I mean they mechs and guns are way more advanced than Europa currently and the best we can do to catch them is to create imitations, heck even they tanks and drones are better than ours.

Sorta?

Like, tbqh, the biggest issue is that Europa doesn't have the *special* techs that they have for the military. Having cyborgs and Biologically Augmented soldiers is a great advantage, but things like their guns, armor, and such do not seem to be appreciably more capable the way you would expect for someone pulling out Decades Old Stock.

Even with their Vehicles and Mechs, it really does just seem like Europa's biggest problem isn't necessarily getting an equivalent on the field, it's that they simply cannot spare the units to actually meet the enemy units man to man.

Like, there's clips on YouTube now that the game is actually out showing a Europan Medium taking on multiple units of Euruskan Mediums and winning.

Even their actual guns aren't that super amazing once you get your hands on them in-game, and their performance against Europan troops correlates with that, as it is either their sheer durability (euruskan) or human wave tactics, (eurasian) that wins them individual fights, assuming generic Infantry on both sides, and not stuff like the Euruskan Grabber.

Our problem is not getting to peer, it's getting enough war material to actually stabilize things.

I get it so is like the new things are not necessary better then the old ones.

The biggest issue is more that we can go "We did it! We got the secret weaponry plans of the other AI's. Now, where do we build them. Ruined factory A, or destroyed factory B." We are much more of a infrastructure type problem, then something with research at the moment.

We have a storage of military equipment going back to WW2 like bot said to deal with the zombie bombers it's better to make old tanks into ballistic AA to deal with them then anything else, well likely besides finding a factory line making a old vehicle design and doing the same to them to get a ""new"" vehicle.

Making an Assumption, it's probably more of a matter that there's only so much performance you can get out of a weapon ostensibly intended to be used by a roughly humanoid individual, and only so much Armor you can put on them before you compromise effectiveness.

Because otherwise an M16 would just be patently worthless and all of our vehicles would be worth less than the scrap materials we could break them down into.

Your ability to do science by yourself is massively hampered by the fact you dont know shit about anything
How that Fuck does a literal miracle machine of man the epitaph of untold intelligence and power, made just for the sake of growth and war, connected to the biggest Archive in Human History not know shit about Science. If even a Literal Mega AI is back to square one in Science, you know shit went down HARD during the war.

I need you to understand how fucked things are and I'll illustrate with a fun example from the game.

There are two quests with the same objective on behalf of different factions. Europa and Euruska want to recover a totem of the Mech God, each of their representatives claiming that it's a long-held symbol of their people's strength. It's the same totem in the same area and I don't think either one is lying. They sincerely believe that the totem has always been Europan/Euruskan and that the other side just wants to steal it as a demoralization tactic. Perhaps it's been changing hands for decades.

Records are so irreparably damaged that the origin of a religious artifact made after the war started is unclear. Imagine how much more impossible it is to retain information from before it started.

We literally didn't know the state of our factories the biggest we still don't know why it is not doing much still, we didn't know we were making a surplus of electronics and capital goods and a minus of all other resources until we looked, and we have no idea what our logistics are like right now at all, the people are right in one way about the ai being a god that it's a blind one is just that they have missed about in there worship.

You, as a human, function as a highly advanced biological defense system, capable of autonomously identifying, analyzing, and responding to viral, bacterial, and other pathogenic threats. Your immune system can generate custom-built antibodies specifically designed to neutralize these invaders, while orchestrating a sophisticated immune response through intricate chemical signaling pathways.

Remarkably, all of this capability is encoded within a mere fraction of the 3 gigabytes of genetic data stored in your DNA. And the strangest part? This entire process occurs without any involvement from your conscious mind. You don't need to understand chemistry, biology, or any of the underlying mechanisms, your body simply knows what to do.

The player character, the AI, is much the same way. It can do a lot of advanced stuff consciously or unconsciously, but that does not mean it understand anything of it.

To add to this, you really dont need to know all that much science in order to run a battlefield.

Logistics, the use cases for weapons and tactics, your current assets, geography, maybe a bit of construction.

We wouldnt need to know anything about theoretical physics, astronomy, or material science to know how to deploy a column of tanks. And that's gonna apply to a lot of things.

We get exactly enough biology to know how to keep our troops alive and the enemies dead. We know enough chemistry to oversee production of powder and explosives. We have just enough psychology to keep the Enclaves from fucking imploding.

You probably have subsystems (plus the people working there) that know more about science and engineering than you, but the problem is how you can access that knowledge if you cant even really speak english.

For the moment, I doubt that our subsystems are unfucked enough (or existant enough) for us to start doing proper scientific, or Scientific, research.
Furthermore, I doubt that we have the resources (human or otherwise) to conduct research.

But the day will come where we will.
Soon.

Soon....

Don't know if we should research most military stuff unless it's for our elites when the time comes, we need to get our conscripts equipment and weapons somewhat in order and consistency with more modernish stock before getting any big ideas for them.
