Not necessarily - what the Yangban actually do with that ability is the result of an absurd degree of training and brainwashing, not an actual function of the power. I don't think. I'm not actually sure which members of the hive mind do what, actually, but I'm pretty sure the primary function of the power sharing ability is to divide one power among many. Anyway, Division? Distribution? Apportion? Dispensation?
the idea is that with Null's power to split other powers across multiple hosts one would normally need cooperation to get any benefit out of it

[X]Edit out mention of Host, but leave the rest of it alone.
[X]Head out to chat with the local shards and their hosts.
-[X]You just became the first shard to kill Terror-Drone #7. Time to go rub this fact in Queen Objective's face.

[X]Hand back control over to Host. She responded really well to the dreaming and you think it's possible to do so now.
-[X]Um... oops? No, wait, you didn't mean to do tha-

I mean technically Sting was apparently refined and perfectly ages ago in the Cycle and hasn't really evolved since; now Sting is just released amongst the shards to see how people react and interact with it.

Still. Fun ideas.

I guess there could be respect in that Sting has reached its final form, and there is nothing left to improve? But also tragic, in a way, because it has nowhere else to go.

And scary, because holy shit that bitch can kill us all!

Also, Simurgh may missed a chance after that apocalypse talk.

"Also, I am the only being with a plan to survive the apocalypse. Right up until that bitch screwed it all to hell. Good luck with that humanity; your guardian angel leaves you to your fate."

More mindscrews as a final fuck you.

Can't complain about what we got though.

Honestly, I imagine Sting isn't much of a player at all. It hasn't changed in millions of cycles. It shoots things gud, and that's it.

Don't know what he means by "player", but yeah, pretty much. (And possibly not millions, but certainly a lot; I never could find a number in canon) Sting never really tries to improve itself. It could have gathered massive amounts of data by now, but it just doesn't bother. Why should it when it has already figured out how to shoot through anything it has ever encountered? It's one of the early generations of shard, ones that were designed entirely as weaponry with learning as an afterthought.

It certainly isn't perfect, given as it can be dodged or sometimes deflected (if some parts are unenhanced)

So... Kinda like a senile old person that carries an assault rifle everywhere. The other shards are respectful, but point it out to newborns for what not to become.

@HymnOfRagnarok I think you might enjoy the QM note of the last story post :p

I am amused.

Oh I enjoyed it immensely. Just pointing out other ways it could be improved.

hmmm...maybe if sting decided to add a HOMING aspect to his projectiles he wouldn't FUCKING miss ALL THE GODDAMN TIME!

[X]Delete it and purge all records. Even if you don't know who Jack Slash is, if Terror Drone #7 wanted to say something about him as her last words, odds are it isn't anything good.

[X]Head out to chat with the local shards and their hosts.

[X] Keep Host asleep. This is a novel experience and will provide great data for later cycles.

You could visit Queen Shaper and some of the newer shards since some of them like Radiant hang out with Queen Shaper at school. So pick them up from school and bring them along to watch while you taunt Queen Objective.

Also have her ask if the hosts of Adept and Queen Objective are mated while being helpful and performing a wedding ceremony for their hosts resulting in Leet and Uber being married because they're too terrified to say no to Tatania. Meanwhile, Panacea and co. have the ceremony captured on their phone and will upload it onto PHO.

[X]Leave it as it is. Terror is a legitimate weapon for demoralizing your enemies. Being known as a possible future terror drone can only inspire more of that in your enemies and confidence in your allies.
- [X] But set their minds at ease: "I am far greater than a mere Terror Drone could ever hope to be." There. That should help.

If/when we start getting Queen Shaper's host to do more than heal, we could start by getting her to fix the brains of the people we crippled at school. It looks like Taylor's desires are going to be more relevant soon, and I can think of at least one more person besides QO that it'd be fun to lord this over.

>our secret identity!

The Protectorate already knows. Besides, do we really have any actual reason to care about that?

I dunno, I rather liked Sophia immediately disappearing, with not a single fuck being given.

But the delicious impotent rage!

But...Sophia's just so worthless, compared to having a dick-measuring contest with the other shards! And killing the Simurgh! She's so tiny she doesn't even register at the scale QA plays at!

Seriously, screentime spent on Sophia is screentime not being pent on much cooler things!

Taylor having sweet revenge over her bullies is a dime a dozen, this kind of QA though? Priceless.

Besides, didn't the abnormal trigger drive sophia and the other 2 potential triggers brain dead?
