I seriously want this to end up as Sting's personality. When all you have is a multi-dimensional penetrative murder field, every problem looks like something you can fix by killing it?

the idea is that with Null's power to split other powers across multiple hosts one would normally need cooperation to get any benefit out of itNot necessarily - what the Yangban actually do with that ability is the result of an absurd degree of training and brainwashing, not an actual function of the power. I don't think. I'm not actually sure which members of the hive mind do what, actually, but I'm pretty sure the primary function of the power sharing ability is to divide one power among many. Anyway, Division? Distribution? Apportion? Dispensation?

Sure, but shards are named after what they are/do, not how they're best used.the idea is that with Null's power to split other powers across multiple hosts one would normally need cooperation to get any benefit out of it

dividing the power across multiple hosts is a way of fostering cooperationSure, but shards are named after what they are/do, not how they're best used.
Honestly, I imagine Sting isn't much of a player at all. It hasn't changed in millions of cycles. It shoots things gud, and that's it.
Don't know what he means by "player", but yeah, pretty much. (And possibly not millions, but certainly a lot; I never could find a number in canon) Sting never really tries to improve itself. It could have gathered massive amounts of data by now, but it just doesn't bother. Why should it when it has already figured out how to shoot through anything it has ever encountered? It's one of the early generations of shard, ones that were designed entirely as weaponry with learning as an afterthought.
It certainly isn't perfect, given as it can be dodged or sometimes deflected (if some parts are unenhanced)
So... Kinda like a senile old person that carries an assault rifle everywhere. The other shards are respectful, but point at it for what not to become.
@HymnOfRagnarok I think you might enjoy the QM note of the last story post![]()
A mover and a shaker, but not a Mover or a Shaker.
hmmm...maybe if sting decided to add a HOMING aspect to his projectiles he wouldn't FUCKING miss ALL THE GODDAMN TIME!
If/when we start getting Queen Shaper's host to do more than heal, we could start by getting her to fix the brains of the people we crippled at school. It looks like Taylor's desires are going to be more relevant soon, and I can think of at least one more person besides QO that it'd be fun to gloat over.
But the delicious impotent rage! The poorly concealed jealousy!I dunno, I rather liked Sophia immediately disappearing, with not a single fuck being given.
They're just resting/mostly dead, which is slightly alive.Besides, didn't the abnormal trigger drive sophia and the other 2 potential triggers brain dead?
