How is one decision going to give us a reputation for cowardice?
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. In the past some of our brothers seem to have misgivings about us (one example being where we were outright accused of heresy), which seems to me like our relationship with the rest of them might not be the best.

Add to that a choice to NOT graduate with the majority of them... I'm concerned that would further damage our relationship to them. Cowardice could be a reasonable explanation chosen by naysayers to turn others against us.

To be fair that guy who accused us did so out of Jealousy at our rate of improvement, the fact that he was dealt with immediately by the Master of Intiates and that other intiates have approched us to ask what we were reading doesn't really paint a picture of being a pariah

Sure, it seems to have improved from where it was before, but I still wouldn't consider it a strong relationship.

I won't claim to be a 40K expert, but considering that we're in training to become part of a much-needed military force (an elite one at that), do you think that our fellow trainees and mentors would look favorably at a decision to delay our contribution to the war effort when they've already lost one promising recruit to unavoidable training injuries? Sure, some of them might think "Oh he's a good guy, staying behind so his friend won't be lonely."

But I'm guessing more of them would think "Why is that guy slacking off when we need him to step up even more?"

Well to be fair we are a extremely powerful psyker so us staying behind for extra training would not be weird, them sending us out so quickly would be kinda odd. Also it would make even more sense if we now decide to become a specialist who would get some more extra training. Plus what we will become is space marine interns we are not exactly going to do heavy lifting.

Ah I hadn't factored in the psyker aspect. That would make IC sense for holding back. I was thinking our PC was going to be needed on the front lines.

I mean we are not yet powerful enough that we can really chance things as we do have the raw power but not the skill. And we are such a powerful psykers so sending us to the front-lines at this moment would be a bit weird cuz if we go of then everyone around us are going to be fucked. Though they would probably do it if they where desperate enough.

Prologue 21
You know that Siegfried would love to advance with you and become a true Space Marine at the same time, but you know that you can't just abandon a brother who was injured. You have decided to stay back and finish with Hollus, and that is what you will do. Tyris does not care, but you can tell that your decision hurts Siegfried. He blinks, looks down for a bit, and does praises you on your devotion to Brothers in need, but when he looks back up you can see a bit of hurt in his eyes. Hollus greatly appreciates your decision, and profusely thanks you for staying with him. You go to inform the scouts, who blink themselves, before praising you for your devotion as well. They do leave you with a warning, that no matter how powerful you are, you will have to choose at some point. And your choice may have far-reaching consequences. In the meantime, you will be aiding the other Scout trainers in teaching the newest batch of Neophytes, because of your freakish progress. You decide to take some tricks you remember and apply them to your teaching. It seems to go rather well, as the Neophytes confess that they seem to learn more from your lessons than anything the other scouts do when they think you can't hear them. Of course, it's not all just teaching. You do take some time to train yourself.

First thing you do is spend some time with Hollus. He appreciates the sentiment and hopes to get better as soon as possible. For the rest of the time you spend, you just catch up and vow to do your best for the Emperor. It feels rather nice, to be honest.

(Gained: +1 SL rank [Hollus])

You also spend some time honing your psykic prowess. Specifically, your Iron Arm and Regeneration.

(2d100=186)
(d100=60)

They go rather well, with you making excellent progress on your Iron Arm capabilities.

The other thing you do is to train your raw intellect, making sure you will be strong not only in body but also in mind.

(2d100=194)

It goes exceedingly well, and you feel as if you have reached a new level of intellectual prowess.

is it possible to unlock exotic abilities like runes or rituals etc?

is it possible chapter demands that we undergo soulbinding? I mean we are the only sane Alpha class psyker so i think Imperium will do everything to make sure we remain sane and on their side.

if we read farseer brain or warlock can we learn from their memories and skills?

I want to raise the level of regeneration before we have to go to battle. Also, since we are staying back, might as well spend time with our friends.

Tyris graduated too so he is not around. Regeneration as to be at Basic master to be of use. No reall way to get unless you do all or most of the actions.

I will be keeping my vote name because people already voted for it.
