Souls of Beyond, Returned to Protect (Kantai Collection) (Still Open to Submission)

Character Sheet (Seiichi Ito) (Out)
Name: Seiichi Itō

Gender: Male

Age: 28

Rank: Commander

Location: Yokosuka

Personality: A young man who has always been serious when it comes to his career and would more than likely take the more safer route if given a choice. Seiichi is dutiful to some traditions such as giving cards out for Obon or Shugatsu. He prefers action and effort over words and would do his best to protect those under his command and those he cherishes.

Quirks: Strangely enough, many have not seen him open his eyes. On those occassions he claims that his eyes were open, circumstances would make it so that no one would see them. Reports of obstructions of views from his hat, to the wind blowing into their faces, and even a spontaneous seagull attack would frustrate many to no end.

Bio: A young man born to a family of Admirals, he has dreamed of joining the navy and achieving the rank of Admiral since he was younger. Seiichi joined the Japansese Naval Academy and graduated near the top of the class, one spot from the top ten. He rose rapidly in ranks until becoming a lieutenant and then joined the Naval Staff College, graduating as a Lieutenant-Commander. He then served until being promoted to Commander and being assigned to Yokosuka.

Likes: The sound of the ocean and the rocking when out at sea, the feeling of being on a ship and ships in general, relaxing while drinking tea, competing in kendo, zen mode while doing archery, Pets, Kanmusu

Dislikes: Waking up early, writing for a long while without rest, triplicates, bird droppings, some of his colleagues due to their attitudes

Character Sheet (Matthew Walker)
@TheMaskedReader were you going to pick Yokosuka?
No, I'm going for something a bit closer to home.

Name: Matthew Walker

Gender: Male

Age: 46

Rank: Commander

Location: Pearl Harbor

Appearance: A fit older man, he is always disciplined and at the ready. His face is kept clean-shaven, and his hair kept trimmed short. While his face may appear stern at first glance, he can typically be found with a smile on his face. He is clearly American.

Personality: This gruff older man is devoted to his chosen career, to those he has sworn to protect as commander. This extends to more than just military matters, as the commander attempts to become at least somewhat familiar with the men and women under his command. Despite this caring attitude towards those he protects, Matthew is ruthless towards those who would endanger the lives of innocents. To him, treachery is the greatest crime, and traitors are the scum of the earth. While he can brush off most words, those who decide to threaten others or attempt to make good on such threats will find themselves facing his wrath. True friendship with him is hard to earn, but those who are his friends will be friends for life.

Quirks: Matthew is nervous around most insects, despite his tough exterior.

Bio: Coming from a rural community on the western coast, Matthew signed up to join the navy as soon as he could. He had been enamored with the idea of joining the navy since he was a child, and had undergone a rigorous exercise since he was old enough to understand that he couldn't just walk in and get a job commanding a ship. He's served aboard many ships, having risen through the ranks through dedication, hard work, and by accepting every responsibility possible. His parents are gone by now, dead of cancer and a car accident. Now, the navy is all he has left, and he'll be damned if anyone takes that away from him.

Likes: Loyalty, friendship, proper procedure, the Navy, classic mystery novels, following a schedule, waking up early, coffee, and children.

Dislikes: Treachery, incompetence, messiness, trashy fiction (especially romance), and dogs.

In hindsight I might have put a bit too much of myself into this SI, but ehh...at least it'll make it easy to write posts. I just have to imagine what I feel like every waking moment.

What benefits do the Admirals give, GM? Mechanically, I mean. Also, does this mean the other RP isn't going to go on? :(

I think Miporin Miho will be running both RPs at the same time.

Your depression is still worrying...

It's alright. Its why I join/want to join RPs so much. Its the closest thing to interacting with humans I can do. Also they're legitimately fun...

EDIT: Other people. You know what I meant. uwu

Alright, done some research on the setting.

Now, before I make my character, I have just one question. Do Admirals have to be Self Inserts? Or only shipgirls?
Admiral can be a SI, but you can make it a PC (Same Scenario though. You died, and reincarnated as something else.)
Will the GM allow an Iowa? I wouldn't mind being one of the Iowa sisters, namely the one that will eventually die. I'm still functioning on the limit of the other Kancolle RP.
I'm a Shinano Class CV, so I don't see why not. Iowa or even Montana is okay. Just.... no paper ships that where never constructed. (Montana had started construction before being scrapped as far as I'm aware. That or they reordered them as Iowas.

Admirals give benefits. They make sure the Kanmusu aren't running around like headless chickens, and eventually.... *grins*

Oh, other RP is still going. Running both at the same time will be a challenge, but doable.

The first two Montanas were reordered as Iowas to save on time, only to be cancelled midway and scrapped since the war ended and it would be too pricey to turn them into carriers. One could say that they were stillborn.

The other five were simply cancelled because the navy realized that they were better off building carriers. They were never conceived.

Hm, what would an Iowa-based carrier be like...?

Eventually...?

Doubling down it is. Now you have 12 main guns instead of just 9! Even the Yamato only has 9.

Does this hull make me look fat?

The Nelson-Class Battleship is an interesting one. I hope, if not as a player, we get one as an NPC. Twin torpedo tubes! That possibly might have/might not have scored the only Battleship-on-Battleship Torpedo hit in WW2.

No, you're not fat. There's just more of you to help. I mean, I'm a big carrier here...

Also, you want the ones with all three turrets in front? I think they had problems with not letting the gun blasts damage the ship itself...

Any battleship with torpedo tubes will do. Its not so much about how practical they are as I just like torpedoes in general.

Maybe you could ask for one later on?

On 27 September 1941, Nelson's port torpedo station almost proved to be a liability when an Italian air-launched 18-inch torpedo holed the compartment behind the torpedo body room, allowing 3,750 tons of water to enter the ship. Following this, Nelson's torpedo tubes may have been removed[15] although another source suggests the torpedo tubes were retained in both ships into 1945.[16]

...I might stick to just admiring them from a theoretical point of view...

@Miho_Chan do we have our hulls, or only our riggings? Where do we first wake up?
This is Pure Kancolle, so Only Rigging. I might borrow Harry Leferts idea of Kanmusu being able to manifest their hulls later on though. Also, For the members that have already joined, you may select two Kantai Musume to control along with your PC.

I'm considering USS Lexington (CV-2), but like Sara in the other game, she would be under your control.
