"...You've changed, too." You aren't sure you can say whether or not the world has changed a lot over the past couple of years, and you're definitely not qualified to talk about most of the Velvet siblings, but you can say for sure that Lavenza doesn't seem to be quite the same as when you first met her, even if you ignore the time travel incident entirely.
"You really think that?" She asks you. "How would you say that I've changed?"
And it's really hard for you to think of a good way to describe it, because words have never been the easiest thing in the world already, let alone when you're talking about things like this. But you suppose that you owe it to her to try.
That's what being her friend means, after all.
"I think... if you hadn't changed at all... you wouldn't be here with the rest of us." And you can't explain where that feeling comes from. It might just be time travel, and the fact that Nemi didn't know Lavenza until you did, but even that's something you aren't sure how to explain. Something tells you that isn't a job you can just pawn off on Nemi when it has to be done.
You've talked to her a lot more than I have, after all.
Fortunately, while you might have to do that job some day, that day is not today. "...So that's what you think." You think she might be considering whether or not she should believe your words.
"He may have a point," Theodore agrees with you. You can almost see Lavenza's thoughts whirling, and how betrayed she must feel to hear her brother say this right away. "...Even a year ago, I can't say I could see you doing what you did two weeks ago."
"Until we realized she wasn't coming back, none of us could imagine Elizabeth leaving." And now it comes back to Elizabeth, and one particular theory you have, which scares you every time you so much as consider it. "Maybe you simply couldn't see it."
Is she trying to convince us, or herself?
"I know I couldn't," You admit. "When she left at the start of the year, I... didn't realize she'd be coming back so soon." But now that you think about it, it doesn't surprise you in the slightest.
She's related to Elizabeth, after all. Why wouldn't she be willing to go to the same lengths, if necessary? Even if you don't know what Elizabeth's purpose in your world is, quite yet, you're aware that the things she's doing are... more extreme than the Velvet Room strictly recommends.
That you aren't entirely certain where that knowledge comes from is a problem for another day.
Lavenza doesn't respond to your words. You can't help but wonder what she's thinking about.
Elizabeth is getting into something she shouldn't. Somehow, this doesn't surprise you in the least.
"There should be a rift at the bottom of You in Wonderland," She explains to Makoto-san. "While I could descend to fetch it myself, I felt that you could use this as an opportunity to challenge yourself further."
So what she wants him to do is dangerous.
...She's going to get herself possessed again. I don't know why I expected anything different.
"...All right." And he agrees to it. Because of course he does. "I'll see if Narukami and some of the others want to tag along."
This is... a thing. That's certainly happening. You guess it might be some time before you can go back to the Group Date Cafe.
...On the bright side, at least you're getting a break from all of the pink.
[ ] ...You should tag along. You'd like to see where this goes.
[ ] ...Well, if you've apparently got more free time, you should go see why Theo's freaking out over some jelly.
[ ] ...Well, if you've apparently got more free time, you should try and get to know Zen and Rei better.
[ ] ...Well, if you've apparently got more free time, you should watch what happens when Akihiko-san and Satonaka-san spend too much time in the same room... from a safe distance.
