  • [X] Theodore and Lavenza both have concerns about their older sisters. You can't do all that much to assuage them, but you should at least hear them out.

[X] Somehow, Zen and Teddie have gotten into a competition for Rei's attention. You aren't sure how it started, but you definitely want to see how it ends.

Stroll Two: Velvet Blues
You encounter Lavenza in front of the fortunetelling booth that is currently the Velvet Room, having a hushed conversation with Theodore. "Oh, Ken-san," She greets you, waving you over. "Would you mind answering some questions for us?"

"Um... all right." You get the feeling that, in the Labyrinth, you're going to be answering a lot of questions already. At least in this instance, you're able to see the people that you're talking to. "What do you want to ask?"

"It's about our sisters," Theodore explains. "We... believe they may not be acting quite like themselves. So we were wondering if Elizabeth normally acts the way she does here, when she's in your world with you."
Even when we're surrounded by time travel, she still can't keep a low profile...
You nod. "This is... I think it's normal for her. I don't... really know her all that well." There seems to be a connection between the two of you, you can feel that much, but... a lot about her is a mystery to you.

"I see..."

"Perhaps whatever change has occurred in her comes from her leaving the Velvet Room?" Lavenza suggests. "Though, that... still wouldn't explain Margaret."

"It could just be the time travel," You point out. "It's... a lot can happen in two years." Just look at you. "And that can change people."
The sad thing is, that explanation works just as well for the both of them.
"I suppose it can," Theodore agrees with you, his gaze flickering over to Lavenza for a moment. She's quick to meet it, and you flinch despite how none of the force in her gaze is aimed at you.

"Do you have something that you wish to say to me, brother?"

"It is... strange. It seems like all of you have changed a great deal in recent years. Or perhaps it is the world itself that is changing."

"Perhaps you just need to go outside more. I have learned a great deal from my observations of humanity. You could stand to do the same, if only by the side of one of your Guests." Were it not for how much shorter she is, it would be impossible to remember that, of the two, Lavenza is meant to be the younger sibling. "...You could even learn new ways to dress!"

She sounds incredibly excited by this proposition.

Admittedly, if the amount of budget that Makoto-san asks to have set aside for his Velvet Room expenses is any indication, she can probably afford to go as wild with it as she likes.

"I- I believe that I will decline." Theodore's face is somewhat pale. "...I believe we may have gotten a little off-topic."

"Perhaps we have," Lavenza agrees, though she looks a little disappointed. "...Ken-san, what do you think?"

"About what?" This conversation has gone in several different directions.

"Do you believe the world has changed? Or that our sisters have?"

[ ] "It's the world that's changed."

[ ] "Can't it be both?"

[ ] "...You've changed, too."

Make sure that whatever worrying happens isn't enough to blow up the school or anything.
If memory serves me well, the one with the most explosions in this story would be Margaret. Even Lavenza didn't Armageddolaon anything when she went to deal with the assassins.

"Perhaps you just need to go outside more.
Yes, yes, mom.

"Perhaps we have," Lavenza agrees, though she looks a little disappointed. "...Ken-san, what do you think?"
Are write-ins good? Then I'd go:

[X] All things change.
-[J] Also, I think Theo should try a zoot-suit.

Stroll Two: Velvet Blues- How She's Changed
"...You've changed, too." You aren't sure you can say whether or not the world has changed a lot over the past couple of years, and you're definitely not qualified to talk about most of the Velvet siblings, but you can say for sure that Lavenza doesn't seem to be quite the same as when you first met her, even if you ignore the time travel incident entirely.

"You really think that?" She asks you. "How would you say that I've changed?"

And it's really hard for you to think of a good way to describe it, because words have never been the easiest thing in the world already, let alone when you're talking about things like this. But you suppose that you owe it to her to try.

That's what being her friend means, after all.

"I think... if you hadn't changed at all... you wouldn't be here with the rest of us." And you can't explain where that feeling comes from. It might just be time travel, and the fact that Nemi didn't know Lavenza until you did, but even that's something you aren't sure how to explain. Something tells you that isn't a job you can just pawn off on Nemi when it has to be done.
You've talked to her a lot more than I have, after all.
Fortunately, while you might have to do that job some day, that day is not today. "...So that's what you think." You think she might be considering whether or not she should believe your words.

"He may have a point," Theodore agrees with you. You can almost see Lavenza's thoughts whirling, and how betrayed she must feel to hear her brother say this right away. "...Even a year ago, I can't say I could see you doing what you did two weeks ago."

"Until we realized she wasn't coming back, none of us could imagine Elizabeth leaving." And now it comes back to Elizabeth, and one particular theory you have, which scares you every time you so much as consider it. "Maybe you simply couldn't see it."
Is she trying to convince us, or herself?
"I know I couldn't," You admit. "When she left at the start of the year, I... didn't realize she'd be coming back so soon." But now that you think about it, it doesn't surprise you in the slightest.

She's related to Elizabeth, after all. Why wouldn't she be willing to go to the same lengths, if necessary? Even if you don't know what Elizabeth's purpose in your world is, quite yet, you're aware that the things she's doing are... more extreme than the Velvet Room strictly recommends.

That you aren't entirely certain where that knowledge comes from is a problem for another day.

Lavenza doesn't respond to your words. You can't help but wonder what she's thinking about.

Elizabeth is getting into something she shouldn't. Somehow, this doesn't surprise you in the least.

"There should be a rift at the bottom of You in Wonderland," She explains to Makoto-san. "While I could descend to fetch it myself, I felt that you could use this as an opportunity to challenge yourself further."

So what she wants him to do is dangerous.
...She's going to get herself possessed again. I don't know why I expected anything different.
"...All right." And he agrees to it. Because of course he does. "I'll see if Narukami and some of the others want to tag along."

This is... a thing. That's certainly happening. You guess it might be some time before you can go back to the Group Date Cafe.

...On the bright side, at least you're getting a break from all of the pink.

[ ] ...You should tag along. You'd like to see where this goes.

[ ] ...Well, if you've apparently got more free time, you should go see why Theo's freaking out over some jelly.

[ ] ...Well, if you've apparently got more free time, you should try and get to know Zen and Rei better.

[ ] ...Well, if you've apparently got more free time, you should watch what happens when Akihiko-san and Satonaka-san spend too much time in the same room... from a safe distance.

Kung-Fu happens. Or something remotely similar.
