Also @Questing for fun I know you said you would only use your vote for things you feel strongly about but in cases like this you could use it to be a tiebreaker.

Here's why I voted the way I did!
1) We should absolutely take advantage of any options that lets us "social link" with two people at once, especially in RWBY, which has Too Many Main Characters. Befriending Ruby early on will also give us an "in" with her team, because if we are going to be on Cardin's team we're unlikely to get missions etc alongside team RWBY.
2) We are friends with Qrow thanks to our backstory. We absolutely need to take advantage of that, as the QM said that the rewards for choosing that background were significant. This should help us use good ol' Social Link Synergy to befriend his nieces much easier.
3) I think at this point, before her own character development, we'll just piss off Weiss more than anything else.

Though I'm not trying to min-max especially in non-combat situations.
Besides we're an arrogant dragon faunus and earlier the schnee insulted our pride .. Are we just going to let that go?

Intro part 4: conversation with Yang and Ruby plus confrontation with your future team!

'hmmm, despite my better judgement and my curiosity to meet the kitten and desire to further torment the Schnee, perhaps I should just go visit Yang and Ruby.' You think eyeing them where they are laying seeing Yang purring at the guys arm wrestling. For some reason this bothers you?
'After all, it wouldn't do for her to look at such pathetic specimens when she can gaze upon my glory.' You think justifying going over to her to yourself.
Your presence is made obvious to everyone in the Ballroom however as you stride towards Yang and Ruby with your tail and wings causing plenty of murmuring and exclamations of shock from everyone you pass by as they realize how glorious your form is. Awed by your sheer perfection compared to them, the puny Humans and regular Faunus quickly move aside for you to pass, it is the only rightful response to your presence after all.
Yang gets up as she notices the commotion your presence makes, and as she looks at you, you can hear a faint, "now THAT momma likes!" followed by a swift but halfhearted "Yang!" From her little sister as she is also caught up in gazing upon you.
"Hello again Yang, Ruby." You nod at each in turn greeting them. "I saw you checking out the guys over there and would have felt bad if you were unable to gaze upon the best. You are a friend after all, if a new one so I do feel somewhat obligated to regale you with my glorious presence." As you begin your final sentence you punctuate it by turning up your Draconic presence causing the two to look at you as the larger than life figure you truly are.
after a short pause after you finish Yang states. "Well I admit, you are DAMN fine, Lux. Still, I am sure your not just here to 'regale us with your presence' as you stated."
"Indeed," You start with a slight smile seeing Yang's eyes dart down towards your abs every now and again. "I was also curious about the two of you. I felt you could answer a few questions I have while I get to know you two better."
"Oh? ok" Yang smiles brightly. "What did you want to know?"
"First, just for clarification, you two are half-sisters by blood correct? I mean you both look different enough that you can't possibly be fully related but similar enough I can see the connection."
"Yes, I am surprised that is your first conclusion though, most people ask if we are even related at all." Yang states a little surprised.
"I am not most people." You say smirking."Other than that, I am curious going forward about your hobbies, weapon of choice and specialties. Since we will be in the same year together and possibly on the same team it behooves us to know more about each other. I will of course answer any questions you wish to ask about me in exchange."
"Sure! Well, for hobbies I mostly enjoy clubbing and riding my motorcycle. My weapon of choice is Ember Cecilia. A pair of shotgun gauntlets that let me pack a fair bit of extra power into my attacks. My specialization would be getting up close and personal with someone tanking whatever they dish out and giving it right back twice as hard." Yang informs you with a smirk. "Your up Rubes."
"Oh! ummm, I enjoy eating lots of cookies and working on my baby Crescent Rose which is my weapon of choice as you know. I also enjoy tinkering and looking around at other weapons and reading about them too! I'm a bit of a weapons fanatic heheh." Ruby states rubbing the back of her head. "As for my specialty with fighting, well my style is either staying back and picking off the most dangerous targets or using my semblance to dart around my opponents ensuring they can't hit me while I can take them apart bit by bit."
"I see, so a powerhouse and a speedy/ranged combatant pair. You two would cover most of the bases on a team by yourselves, impressive." You state, complimenting their abilities. "My hobbies are practicing my Aura Magic and reading to learn new things. My primary weapon as Ruby knows is my whip sword which I have not names because I got it off of someone else and they never told me the name. my personal fighting style is to get into my opponents head while I use my weapons range to keep them at a close, but not quite melee distance allowing me to whittle them down bit by bit while they are unable to retaliate. If they do get close I of course always have my fire breath to force them back."
As you finish up your explanation a few of the guys come over finally interrupting your conversation as you had noticed them expressing displeasure as you 'hogged such beautiful girls attentions.' Which of course, is true, but it is your right as their superiors in every way. AS you turn your attention over to them walking towards you Yang and Ruby turn to look at them as well frowns forming on their faces as they realize what was likely going to happen.
"Hey! What does a stinking Faunus like you think you are trying to talk to your betters like your their equal!" One of the bigger brawnier ones state. Not the leader he is hanging slightly back letting who looks to be his second in command start things. "Scum like you should know not to interact with the superior species outside of bowing and scraping!"
EXTREMELY Angered by the sheer audacity these pathetic weaklings display before one of your greatness, you take a short moment to decide how best to put them in their places.
[] Do nothing and ignore them. (You are too angry for this!)
[] Put them in their places with the full force of your semblance!
[] Give them a verbal lashing they will never forget!
[] Ignore them but make it clear to them that they are pathetic bugs not worthy of your attention while doing so.

Oh and just so everyone knows! I am working on Yang's and Ruby's character sheets now. To gain a sheet you need to learn enough about them to get the sheet. (or at least have enough info about them for it to matter.)

as for mechanics, I probably should have mentioned this before, but this is going to be largely character driven outside of combat. Your characters abilities and will stat influence this but so does the personality of the characters themselves. Otherwise your choices matter a bit for how people look at you and feel about you.
In combat it should be fairly easy to tell how that works outside of a few details. but its mostly decided by rolls and the stats of each character.
