Revan Quest (Star Wars)

I refuse to leave the Ebon Hawk to anyone that isn't us. That's OUR ride. Revan stole it fair and square the first time and by the Force we're going to steal it again.

[X] That said: Trask and Thea should have been able to escape and meet up with Carth. Do we want to pick them up (more meatshields allies (including a Jedi)) or do we want to leave them because they're whiny Lawful Good twits?

Why would we leave them behind? I love those types of characters. They're so fun and easy to mess with. Almost as easy to fuck with as the Sith.

[X]The Leviathan. Assaulting Malak directly would likely be considered suicide if you were anyone else; as you're you, it's merely extremely difficult.

[X] A lightsaber in your right hand, and a Mandolorian heavy blaster in your left. you will always savor the look on Malak's face when you shot him in the gut during a saber lock.

What if we get the Star Forge to manufacture some mini-World Devastators? They would be used only on uninhabited asteroids, moons, and planetoids...

Do you really want to run the risk of Carth of all people tagging along? In addition to being a Lawful Douche, he's by far the most likely character to just start screaming/trying to kill us if we reveal we're Revan, something we'll have to do to justify going after Malak. Bastilla we can get on board either because she'll sense our honesty through the bond, or we can manipulate the bond to convince her + she'll realize this is the best shot to kill Malak. Period. Canderous we just have to promise him a hell of a fight and reveal our self to be Revan, and he'll follow. T3M4 can be acquired through force persuasion + Canderous, we can rob Davik blind for funds and steal the Hawk afterwards. Introducing Lawful Stupids to the plan is the quickest way to get complications.

nah, just talk Bastilla into it first then make Carth think Bastilla has everything figured out rather then us.

And as annoying as Carth can be, having a soldier as experienced as him on our team will be very valuable.

A lot of art has Revan using red and purple sabers, but I always preferred to use red and yellow.

I wouldn't bet Carth lasting 20 seconds against Canderous. Carth above all is a pilot, with some plucky combat skills on the side. He'd at best be a distraction for the mooks.

That could work, but it still requires Carth alongside Revan. The person he hates second most in the galaxy and partially blames for the death of his wife and son as well as his homeworld. Combine that with Carth doubting Bastilla and her personal competence early on in the story I'm doubtful even she could convince him to play along with it. Maybe if we promise to let him Karath? Still leery of it.

Uh, no, Carth is above all a soldier. In fact it's made clear that he's one of the better ones, and was mentored by Saul Karath himself. He's damn good at what he does, and experienced besides.

Canderous might still beat him fairly easily, but that's because Canderous is really fucking good at what he does. He's a veteran Mandalorian warrior, one of the better ones. IIRC, he even becomes the Mandalore at the end, and that's not a title any fighter can get.

Yes! The bald Revan won! All OP male protagonist must now be bald!

Well that's kinda my point. Carth is a damn good fighter, and squares off well against any mooks, but he's just not really capable of contributing all that much between a duel of 2 masters in the force, hell the only reason I consider Bastila relevant in that showdown is that she's a) a juicy target for Malek to go after and b) battle meditation.

Canderous is about as good as a non-force sensitive can get at fighting in SW, and he's still not going to be able to directly contribute all that much in a duel. I mainly want him because he'll murder mooks, even mook Dark Jedi like its going out of style and he's an immensely useful as a Mandalore who answers to us. Not to mention above all loyal.

Compare that to Carth, who is an excellent soldier, an amazing pilot, and someone who hates Revan the most out of the entirety of the cast. He's another guy to face the mooks sure, but we don't really need an amazing pilot all that much. So we'd have to deal with a hateful patriot who'd rather martyr himself calling in our location to the Republic than help us. Carth may be worth picking up for the assault on the Leviathan and even then I'm somewhat sceptical, but he's just not worth the complications of trying to get him to permanently join us. I mean we all remember Carth shouting "Down you go!" then getting absolutely chumped by Malek right? That's sort of what I'm expecting to happen if we bring him again.
